Cosmic slowing down of acceleration using $f_{gas}$

We investigate the recent - low redshift - expansion history of the universe using the most recent observational data. Using only data from 42 measurements of $f_{gas}$ in clusters, we found that cosmic acceleration could have already peaked and we are witnessing now its slowing down. This effect, found previously by Shafieloo, Sahni and Starobinsky in 2010 using supernova data (at that time the Constitution SNIa sample) appears again using an independent observational probe. We also discuss the result using the most recent Union 2.1 data set.

Cosmic slowing down of acceleration for several dark energy parametrizations

We further investigate slowing down of acceleration of the universe scenario for five parametrizations of the equation of state of dark energy using four sets of supernovae data. In a maximal probability analysis we also use the baryon acoustic oscillation and cosmic microwave background observations. We apply the $Om$ diagnostic to models for dark energy based on scalar fields. Physical condition for the slowing down of cosmic acceleration

The possible slowing down of cosmic acceleration was widely studied. However, the imposition of dark energy parametrization brought some tensions. In our recent paper, we test this possibility using a model-independent method, Gaussian processes. However, the reason of generating these tensions is still closed. The role of curvature in the slowing down acceleration scenario

We introduce the curvature $Ω_k$ as a new free parameter in the Bayesian analysis using SNIa, BAO and CMB data, in a model with variable equation of state parameter $w(z)$. We compare the results using both the Constitution and Union 2 data sets, and also study possible low redshift transitions in the deceleration parameter $q(z)$. Re-examining the role of curvature in the slowing down acceleration scenario

By incorporating the curvature $Ω_k$ as a free parameter, it has been found that the tension between the high redshift CMB shift parameter $R(z^{\ast})$ data and the low redshift SNIa and BAO data from the combination of SDSS and 2dFGRS can be ameliorated, and both SNIa+BAO and SNIa+BAO+CMB favor that the decelerating parameter $q(z)$ shows a rapid variation in sign at small redshift. We investigate the course of cosmic expansion in its `recent past' using the Constitution SN Ia sample (which includes CfA data at low redshifts), jointly with signatures of baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO) in the galaxy distribution and fluctuations in the cosmic microwave background (CMB). Examining the cosmic acceleration with the latest Union2 supernova data

In this Letter, by reconstructing the $Om$ diagnostic and the deceleration parameter $q$ from the latest Union2 Type Ia supernova sample with and without the systematic error along with the baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO) and the cosmic microwave background (CMB), we study the cosmic expanding history, using the Chevallier-Polarski-Linder (CPL) parametrization. A possible slowing down of the cosmic expansion is investigated through a cosmographic approach.
