Motivated by hints for a light Standard Model-like Higgs boson and a shift in experimental attention towards electroweak supersymmetry particle production at the CERN LHC, we update in this paper our precision predictions at next-to-leading order of perturbative QCD matched to resummation at the next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy for direct gaugino pair production in proton-proton collisions with a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV. Tables of total cross sections are presented together with the corresponding scale and parton density uncertainties for benchmark points adopted recently by the experimental collaborations, and figures are presented for up-to-date model lines attached to them. Since the experimental analyses are currently obtained with parton showers matched to multi-parton matrix elements, we also analyze the precision of this procedure by comparing invariant-mass and transverse-momentum distributions obtained in this way to those obtained with threshold and transverse-momentum resummation.
We analyse the prospect of extending the reach for squarks and gauginos via associated production at a $\sqrt{s} = 100$ TeV proton-proton collider, given 3 ab$^{-1}$ integrated luminosity. Depending on the gluino mass, the discovery reach for squarks in associated production with a gluino can be up to 37 TeV for compressed spectra (small gluino-LSP mass splitting), and up to 32 TeV for non-compressed spectra. The discovery reach for Winos can be up to between 3.5 and 6 TeV depending on squark masses and Wino decay kinematics. Binos of up to 1.7 TeV could similarly be discovered. Squark-gaugino…
Discovery of the Higgs boson and lack of discovery of superpartners in the first run at LHC are both predictions of split supersymmetry with thermal dark matter. We discuss what it would take to find gluinos at hadron supercolliders, including the LHC at 14 TeV center of mass energy, and future pp colliders at 100 TeV and 200 TeV. We generalize the discussion by re-expressing the search capacity in terms of gluino to lightest superpartner mass ratio, and apply results to other scenarios, such as gauge mediation and mirage mediation.
Gaugino AMSB models-- wherein scalar and trilinear soft SUSY breaking terms are suppressed at the GUT scale while gaugino masses adopt the AMSB form-- yield a characteristic SUSY particle mass spectrum with light sleptons along with a nearly degenerate wino-like lightest neutralino and quasi-stable chargino. The left- sleptons and sneutrinos can be pair produced at sufficiently high rates to yield observable signals at the Fermilab Tevatron. We calculate the rate for isolated single and dilepton plus missing energy signals, along with the presence of one or two highly ionizing chargino tracks.…
We discuss prospects of studying supersymmetric model at future $pp$ circular collider (FCC) with its centre-of-mass energy of $\sim 100\ {\rm TeV}$. We pay particular attention to the model in which Wino is lighter than other supersymmetric particles and all the gauginos are within the kinematical reach of the FCC, which is the case in a large class of so-called pure gravity mediation model based on anomaly mediated supersymmetry breaking. In such a class of model, charged Wino becomes long-lived with its decay length of $\sim 6\ {\rm cm}$, and the charged Wino tracks may be identified in par…
The 750 GeV diphoton excess reported by ATLAS and CMS indicates the presence of several pairs of the vector-like matter multiplets around TeV scale. If that is the case, radiative corrections from the $SU(3)$ gauge interaction significantly change from those of MSSM, and the infrared-free nature of the gauge interaction leads to characteristic SUSY mass spectra: a ratio of a squark mass to the gluino mass, and scalar trilinear couplings are enhanced at the low-energy scale. Consequently, even in gaugino mediation models, the Higgs boson mass of 125 GeV is explained with the fairly light gluino…

Gaugino mediation is very attractive since it is free from the serious flavor problem in the supersymmetric standard model. We show that the observed Higgs boson mass at around 125 GeV and the anomaly of the muon g-2 can be easily explained in gaugino mediation models. It should be noted that no dangerous CP violating phases are generated in our framework. Furthermore, there are large parameter regions which can be tested not only at the planned International Linear Collider but also at the coming 13-14 TeV Large Hadron Collider.
We study two simple and well motivated nonuniversal gaugino mass models, which predict higgsino dark matter. One can account for the observed dark matter relic density along with the observed Higgs boson mass of ~ 125 GeV over a large region of the parameter space of each model, corresponding to higgsino mass of ~ 1 TeV. In each case this parameter region covers the gluino mass range of 2-3 TeV, parts of which can be probed by the 14 TeV LHC experiments. We study these model predictions for LHC in brief and for dark matter detection experiments in greater detail.
In SUSY models with heavy squarks and gaugino mass unification, the gaugino pair production reaction pp-> \tw_1^\pm\tz_2 dominates gluino pair production for m_{\tg}\agt 1 TeV at LHC with \sqrt{s}=14 TeV (LHC14). For this mass range, the two-body decays \tw_1\to W\tz_1 and \tz_2\to h\tz_1 are expected to dominate the chargino and neutralino branching fractions. By searching for \ell b\bar{b}+MET events from \tw_1^\pm\tz_2 production, we show that LHC14 with 100 fb^{-1} of integrated luminosity becomes sensitive to chargino masses in the range m_{\tw_1}\sim 450-550 GeV corresponding to m_{\tg}\…
We have discussed the stop mass and possible signal processes within a class of SUSY GUTs with non-universal gaugino masses. This class of models predicts the stop mass in a wide range from about 400 GeV to 8 TeV, and the DM constraints bound it as $m_{\tilde{t}_{1}}\gtrsim 500$ GeV. Being the lightest supersymmetric particle the neutralino always takes part in possible signal processes, and its mass is realized as heavy as about 2.3 TeV in the fundamental parameter space. Similarly, the lightest chargino mass can be realized beyond 3 TeV, while the DM constraints bound its mass at about 2.7 T…
Motivated by dark-matter considerations in supersymmetric theories, we investigate in a fairly model-independent way the detection at the LHC of nearly degenerate gauginos with mass differences between a few GeV and about 30 GeV. Due to the degeneracy of gaugino states, the conventional leptonic signals are likely lost. We first consider the leading signal from gluino production and decay. We find that it is quite conceivable to reach a large statistical significance for the multi-jet plus missing energy signal with an integrated luminosity about 50 pb^-1 (50 fb^-1) for a gluino mass of 500 Ge…
We compare the prospects for observing theories with Majorana or Dirac gauginos at a future 100 TeV proton-proton collider. Calculating the expected discovery and exclusion regions, we find that for heavy gluino masses the squark discovery reach is significantly reduced in Dirac gluino models relative to the Majorana case. However, if the squark and gluino masses are close the reach is similar in both scenarios. We also consider the electroweak fine tuning of theories observable at such a collider, and the impact of existing constraints from flavour and CP violating observables. Models with Ma…
We perform a threshold resummation calculation for the associated production of gluinos and gauginos at the LHC to the next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy. Analytical results are presented for the process-dependent soft anomalous dimension and the hard function. The resummed results are matched to a full next-to-leading order calculation, for which we have generalised the previously known results to the case of supersymmetric scenarios featuring non-universal squark masses. Numerically, the next-to-leading logarithmic contributions increase the total next-to-leading order cross section by 7 t…
We discuss the gluino mass in the CMSSM and Nonuniversal Gaugino Mass Models (NUGM) frameworks in light of the results from the current LHC and Dark Matter experiments. We probe the gluino mass scales by considering its decay modes into stop and top quarks, $\tilde{g}\rightarrow \tilde{t}_{1}t$ and $\tilde{g}\rightarrow \bar{t}t\tildeχ_{1}^{0}$, where $\tilde{t}_{1}t$ represents both $\tilde{t}_{1}\bar{t}$ and $\tilde{t}_{1}^{*}t$. The region with $m_{\tilde{g}} \lesssim 2$ TeV is excluded up to $68\%$ CL in the CMSSM if the gluino decays into a stop and top quark, while the $95\%$ CL exclusio…
The heavy sfermion scenario is naturally realized when supersymmetry breaking fields are charged under some symmetry or are composite fields. There, scalar partners of standard model fermions and the gravitino are as heavy as O(10-1000) TeV while gauginos are as heavy as O(1) TeV. The scenario is not only consistent with the observed higgs mass, but also is free from cosmological problems such as the Polonyi problem and the gravitino problem. In the scenario, gauginos are primary targets of experimental searches. In this thesis, we discuss gaugino masses in the heavy sfermion scenario. First, …
We present a complete analysis of threshold resummation effects on direct light and heavy gaugino pair production at the Tevatron and the LHC. Based on a new perturbative calculation at next-to-leading order of SUSY-QCD, which includes also squark mixing effects, we resum soft gluon radiation in the threshold region at leading and next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy, retaining at the same time the full SUSY-QCD corrections in the finite coefficient function. This allows us to correctly match the resummed to the perturbative cross section. Universal subleading logarithms are resummed in full m…
We calculate the dependence on intermediate scale of the gaugino mass ratios upon breaking of SO(10) into the SM via an intermediate group $H$. We see that the ratios change significantly when the intermediate scale is low (say, $10^8$ GeV or 1 Tev) compared to the case when the two breakings occur at the same scale.
We study gravity mediated supersymmetry breaking in ${\cal F}$-SU(5) and its low-energy supersymmetric phenomenology. The gaugino masses are not unified at the traditional grand unification scale, but we nonetheless have the same one-loop gaugino mass relation at the electroweak scale as minimal supergravity (mSUGRA). We introduce parameters testable at the colliders to measure the small second loop deviation from the mSUGRA gaugino mass relation at the electroweak scale. In the minimal SU(5) model with gravity mediated supersymmetry breaking, we show that the deviations from the mSUGRA gaugin…
We discuss the SUSY dark matter phenomenology in some simple and predictive models of nonuniversal gaugino masses at the GUT scale. Assuming the gaugino masses to transform as a sum of singlet and a nonsinglet representation of the GUT group SU(5), one can evade the LEP constraints to access the bulk annihilation region of the bino dark matter relic density. Besides, with this assumption one can also have a mixed gaugino-higgsino dark matter, giving the right relic density over large parts of the parameter space. We consider the model predictions for LHC and dark matter experiments in both the…
We examine the supersymmetry phenomenology of a novel scenario of supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking which we call Gaugino Anomaly Mediation, or inoAMSB. This is suggested by recent work on the phenomenology of flux compactified type IIB string theory. The essential features of this scenario are that the gaugino masses are of the anomaly-mediated SUSY breaking (AMSB) form, while scalar and trilinear soft SUSY breaking terms are highly suppressed. Renormalization group effects yield an allowable sparticle mass spectrum, while at the same time avoiding charged LSPs; the latter are common in models wi…
Supersymmetric theories which can allow for a 125 GeV Higgs mass and also solve the naturalness and susy flavor problems now require a fair degree of complexity. Here we consider the simplest possibility for supersymmetry near the weak scale, but with the requirement of naturalness dropped. In "pure gravity mediation", all supersymmetric particles except for the gauginos lie at tens to thousands of TeV, with the gauginos obtaining loop suppressed masses automatically by anomaly mediation and higgsino threshold corrections. The gauginos are the lightest superpartners, and we investigate the cur…
Now that the mass limits for gluinos have been pushed to the few-TeV range, they might only be visible at the LHC in associated production with lighter gauginos. We compute the corresponding cross section at next-to-leading logarithmic (NLL) and next-to-leading order (NLO) precision in the QCD coupling constant. The resulting expressions are implemented in the public code RESUMMINO and can be directly used in the corresponding experimental searches.
We study double parton scattering (DPS) processes involving electroweak gauge bosons at the 13 TeV and 100 TeV proton-proton colliders. Specifically, we focus on three DPS channels: $W$-boson plus two jets ($W\otimes jj$), $Z$-boson plus two jets ($Z\otimes jj$), and same-sign $W$ pair production ($W^\pm\otimes W^\pm$). We demonstrate that the $Z\otimes jj$ process, which has not been paid too much attentions, is the best channel for measuring effective cross section $σ_{\rm eff}$. The accuracy of $σ_{\rm eff}$ measurement in the three DPS channels, especially the $W^\pm\otimes W^\pm$ producti…
We consider a SUSY breaking scenario without the Polonyi problem. To solve the problem, the enhanced couplings of the Polonyi field to an inflaton, gauge kinetic functions and itself are assumed. As a result, a gaugino mediated SUSY breaking occurs. In this scenario, the Higgs boson mass becomes consistent with the recently observed value of the Higgs-like boson (i.e., m_h ~= 125 GeV) for the gluino mass about 4TeV, which is, however, out of the reach of the LHC experiment. We show that the trilinear coupling of the scalar top is automatically enhanced by the presence of the extra matters. Wit…
We study dark matter physics in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with non-universal gaugino masses at the unification scale. In this scenario, the specific ratio of wino and gluino masses realizes the electro-weak scale naturally and achieves 125 GeV Higgs boson mass. Then, relatively light higgsino is predicted and the lightest neutral particle, that is dominantly given by the neutral component of higgsino, is a good dark matter candidate. The direct detection of the dark matter is sensitive to not only a higgsino mass but also gaugino masses significantly. The upcoming XENON1T exper…
We present a first precision analysis of the transverse-momentum spectrum of gaugino pairs produced at the Tevatron and the LHC with center-of-mass energies of 1.96 and 10 or 14 TeV, respectively. Our calculation is based on a universal resummation formalism at next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy, which is consistently matched to the perturbative prediction at ${\cal O}(α_s)$. Numerical results are given for the "gold-plated" associated production of neutralinos and charginos decaying into three charged leptons with missing transverse energy as well as for the pair production of neutralinos a…
We present a calculation of higgsino and gaugino pair production at the LHC at next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic (NNLL) accuracy, matched to approximate next-to-next-to-leading order (aNNLO) QCD corrections. We briefly review the formalism for the resummation of large threshold logarithms and highlight the analytical results required at aNNLO+NNLO accuracy. Our numerical results are found to depend on the mass and nature of the produced charginos and neutralinos. The differential and total cross sections for light higgsinos, which like sleptons are produced mostly at small x and in the s-cha…
Intense and collimated neutrino beams are produced by charm and beauty particle decays from proton-proton collisions at the LHC. A neutrino experiment would be run parasitically without interrupting the LHC physics program during the collider run. We estimate the neutrino fluxes from proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=14$ TeV of the LHC with the designed luminosity, $10^{34} \lumi$. By mounting about 200 tons of fiducial volume of a neutrino detector at 300 $\m$ away from the interaction point, about 150,000 of charged current neutrino events per year can be observable.
We argue that already the first year run at the LHC with 3.5 TeV proton beams will provide a quick and effective way to test the dynamics of the color dipole-gluon interactions and the small x behavior of the gluon density in proton from study of the vector meson photoproduction in ultraperipheral proton-proton collisions.
We present predictions of single inclusive jet transverse momentum, energy, and Feynman-$x$ spectra at forward rapidity ($5.2 < y < 6.6$) in proton-proton collisions with $\sqrt{s} = 7$ and 13 TeV. Calculations based on high-energy factorization and $k_T$-dependent parton densities are compared to simulations using the \pythia\ event generator. Effects from parton density evolution, parton shower dynamics, multi-parton interactions, and saturation of parton densities are investigated.
The measurement of the total $pp$ cross section and its various sub-components (elastic, inelastic and diffractive) is a very powerful tool to understand the proton macro structure and fundamental QCD dynamics. In this contribution I first provide a theoretical introduction to the topic, then a summary of the experimental techniques and finally I review the new results from AUGER and LHC experiments.

Recently, the ATLAS and CMS collaborations reported exciting hints of a Standard Model-like Higgs boson with a mass around 125GeV. Such a Higgs boson mass can be easily obtained in the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model based on the "pure gravity mediation model" where the sfermion masses and the Higgs mass parameters are in tens to hundreds TeV range while the gauginos are in the hundreds GeV to TeV range. In this paper, we discuss detalis of the gaugino mass spectrum in the pure gravity mediation model. We also discuss the signals of the model at the current and future experiments such as…
A review of the current experimental results on searches for Higgs bosons in models beyond the Standard Model is presented. Searches from ATLAS, CMS and LHCb use datasets from Run 1 of the LHC, including 7 and 8 TeV proton-proton collisions. Searches from CDF and D0 use the full or partial 1.96 TeV proton-anti-proton collision datasets from the Tevatron.
We consider the modifications to squark production in the presence of a naturally heavier Dirac gluino. First generation squark production is highly suppressed, providing an interesting but challenging signal find or rule out. No dedicated searches for supersymmetry with a Dirac gluino have been performed, however a reinterpretation of a "decoupled gluino" simplified model suggests the bounds on a common first and second generation squark mass is much smaller than in the MSSM: $\lsim 850$ GeV for a massless LSP, and no bound for an LSP heavier than about 300 GeV. We compare and contrast the sq…
Based on PYTHIA6.428, event-by-event fluctuations of the mean transverse momentum in proton- proton collisions at sqrt_s = 7 TeV are studied using several measures of the fluctuations. The study compares results of the fluctuations for events where color reconnection is turned on, with those where color reconnection is turned off. The comparison reveals that some of the fluctuation measures are much more sensitive to color reconnection than others. Through the comparison it is demonstrated for the first time that for proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider, these sensitive measur…
In supersymmetric models with radiatively-driven naturalness, higgsino-like electroweak-inos (EW-inos) are expected to lie in a mass range 100--300 GeV, the lighter the more natural. Such states can be pair-produced at high rates at ILC where their masses are nearly equal to the value of the superpotential mu parameter while their mass splittings depend on the gaugino masses M_1 and M_2. The gaugino masses in turn depend on trilinear soft terms---the A parameters, which are expected to lie in the multi-TeV range owing to the 125 GeV Higgs mass---via two-loop contributions to renormalization gr…

Our calculation is based on a universal resummation formalism at next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy, which is consistently matched to the perturbative prediction at O(alpha_s). Numerical results are given for the ``gold-plated'' associated production of neutralinos and charginos for a typical benchmark point in the constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We show that the matched resummation results differ considerably from the…

We review the phenomenology of SUSY dark matter in various versions of MSSM, with universal and nonuniversal gaugino masses at the GUT scale. We start with the universal case (CMSSM), where the cosmologically compatible dark matter relic density is achieved only over some narrow regions of parameter space, involving some fine-tuning. Moreover, most of these regions are seriously challenged by the constraints from collider and direct dark matter detection experiments. Then we consider some simple and predictive nonuniversal gaugino mass models, based on SU(5) GUT. Several of these models offer …
