We study the binding energy, root-mean-square radius and quadrupole deformation parameter for the synthesized superheavy element Z = 115, within the formalism of relativistic mean field theory. The calculation is dones for various isotopes of Z = 115 element, starting from A = 272 to A = 292. A systematic comparison between the binding energies and experimental data is made. The calculated binding energies are in good agreement with experimental result. The results show the prolate deformation for the ground state of these nuclei. The most stable isotope is found to be 282115 nucleus (N = 167) in the isotopic chain. We have also studied Qα and Tα for the α-decay chains of $^{287, 288}$115.
Reaction cross sections of carbon isotopes for proton scattering are calculated in large energy region. Density distributions of carbon isotopes are obtained from relativistic mean field results. Calculations are based on two procedures: the Glauber theory and relativistic impulse approximation, and results are compared with each other as well as with experimental data. A strong relationship between reaction cross section and root-mean-square radius is clearly shown for 12C using a model distribution.
14C is a stable isotope and emitted from medium and heavy mass nuclei. The 14C result is in excellent agreement with a favored ground-state-to-ground-state transition according to the cluster model of Blendowske et al. We study Ra isotopes in relativistic core-cluster model, solve the Dirac equation with the new phenomenological potential by parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov method, and obtain wave function and binding energy.
The ground state properties of He isotopes are studied in the nonlinear relativistic mean-field (RMF) theory with force parameters NL-SH and TM2. The modified Glauber model as a gatekeeper is introduced to check the calculations. The investigation shows that the RMF theory provides a good description on the properties of He isotopes. The many-body space information of 4He + neutrons are obtained reliably. As a product, the calculation gives a strong evidence for neutron halo in 5He.
In this paper, we have calculated the energy spectrum of 12C isotope by cluster model. The experimental results show that the "Hoyle" state at 7.65 MeV in 12C isotope has a well-developed three-alpha structure. Hence, we select a three-body system and for interaction between the clusters we use modified Yukawa potential plus coulomb potential. Then, we solve the relativistic Klein-Gordon equation using Nikiforov-Uvarov method to calculate the energy spectrum. Finally, the calculated results are compared with the experimental data. The results show that the isotope 12C should be considered as c…
Within the frame-work of relativistic Thomas-Fermi and relativistic extended Thomas-Fermi approximations, we calculate the giant monopole resonance (GMR) excitation energies for Sn and related nuclei. A large number of non-linear relativistic force parameters are used in this calculations. We find that a parameter set is capable to reproduce the experimental monopole energy of Sn isotopes, when its nuclear matter compressibility lies within $210-230$ MeV, however fails to reproduce the GMR energy of other related nuclei. That means, simultaneously a parameter set can not reproduce the GMR valu…
We study the proton magic O, Ca, Ni, Zr, Sn, and Pb isotope chains from the proton drip line to the neutron drip line with the relativistic continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov (RCHB) theory. Particulary, we study in detail the properties of even-even Ca isotopes due to the appearance of giant halos in neutron rich Ca nuclei near the neutron drip line. The RCHB theory is able to reproduce the experimental binding energies $E_b$ and two neutron separation energies $S_{2n}$ very well. The predicted neutron drip line nuclei are $^{28}$O, $^{72}$Ca, $^{98}$Ni, $^{136}$Zr, $^{176}$Sn, and $^{266}$Pb, respe…
The critical point nuclei in Sm isotopes, which marks the first order phase transition between spherical U(5) and axially deformed shapes SU(3), have been investigated in the microscopic quadrupole constrained relativistic mean field (RMF) model plus BCS method with all the most used interactions, i.e., NL1, NL3, NLSH and TM1. The calculated potential energy surfaces show a clear shape transition for the even-even Sm isotopes with $N = 82\sim 96$ and the critical point nuclei are found to be $^{148}$Sm, $^{150}$Sm and $^{152}$Sm. Similar conclusions can also be drawn from the microscopic neutr…
The ground state properties including radii, density distribution and one neutron separation energy for C, N, O and F isotopes up to the neutron drip line are systematically studied by the fully self-consistent microscopic Relativistic Continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov (RCHB) theory. With the proton density distribution thus obtained, the charge-changing cross sections for C, N, O and F isotopes are calculated using the Glauber model. Good agreement with the data has been achieved. The charge changing cross sections change only slightly with the neutron number except for proton-rich nuclei. Similar…
We investigate the origin of the kink effect (KE) in the relativistic mean field theory by transforming the single-particle Dirac equation into a Schrodinger-like equation. It is found that relativistic self-consistent effects as well as contributions from the rho meson determine the actual structure of the KE. However, the spin-orbit force generated by the rho meson has no significant influence on the KE.
The microscopically constrained relativistic mean field theory is used to investigate the superdeformation for Pb isotopes. The calculations show that there exists a clear superdeformed minimum in the potential energy surfaces with four different interactions NL3, PK1, TM1 and NLSH. The excitation energy, deformation and depth of well in the superdeformed minimum are comparable for four different interactions. Furthermore the trend for the change of the superdeformed excitation energy with neutron number is correctly reproduced. The calculated two-neutron separation energy in the ground state …
We have investigated the ground-state properties of carbon isotopes in the framework of the relativistic mean-field (RMF) theory. RMF calculations have been performed with the non-linear scalar self-coupling of the $σ$ meson using an axially symmetric deformed configuration. We have also introduced the vector self-coupling of the $ω$ meson for the deformed mean-field calculations. The results show that the RMF predictions on radii and deformations are in good agreement with the available experimental data. It is shown that several carbon isotopes possess a highly deformed shape akin to a super…
Within the relativistic Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (RHFB) theory, the structure properties of Carbon isotopes are systematically studied. In order to reproduce the experiment data, we take the finite-range Gogny D1S with a strength factor $f$ as the pairing force. The self-consistent RHFB calculations with density-dependent meson-nucleon couplings indicate the single-neutron halo structures in both $^{17}$C and $^{19}$C, whereas the two-neutron halo in $^{22}$C is not well supported. It is also found that close to the neutron drip line there exists distinct odd-even staggering on neutron radii, w…
The Relativistic Hartree Bogoliubov (RHB) theory is applied in the description of ground-state properties of Ni and Sn isotopes. The NL3 parameter set is used for the effective mean-field Lagrangian, and pairing correlations are described by the pairing part of the finite range Gogny interaction D1S. Fully self-consistent RHB solutions are calculated for the Ni ($28\leq N\leq 50$) and Sn ($50\leq N\leq 82$) isotopes. Binding energies, neutron separation energies, and proton and neutron $rms$ radii are compared with experimental data. The model predicts a reduction of the spin-orbit potential w…
We investigate ground states properties of Pb isotopes located between neutron and proton drip-lines estimated by two-neutron (two-proton) separation energies and Fermi energies within the deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum (DRHBc). First, we report some candidates of nuclear shape coexistence in the isotope chain. They are accessed by calculating total energy as a function of the deformation parameter $β_2$, and for the coexistence candidates we take a couple of the deformation region bringing about minima of the energy within energy difference $ΔE < $ 1 MeV. Second,…
The ground-state properties of Zr and Sn isotopes are studied within the relativistic mean field theory. Zr and Sn isotopes have received tremendous attention due to various reasons, including the predicted giant halos in the neutron-rich Zr isotopes, the unique feature of being robustly spherical in the region of $^{100}$Sn $\sim$ $^{132}$Sn and the particular interest of Sn isotopes to nuclear astrophysics. Furthermore, four (semi-) magic neutron numbers, 40, 50, 82 and 126, make these two isotopic chains particularly important to test the pairing correlations and the deformations in a micro…
In the random-interaction ensembles, electromagnetic moments of Cd $I^π=11/2^-$ isomers predominately present linear systematics as changing the neutron number, which has been reported in realistic nuclear system. Quadrupole-like and $δ$-like $pn$ interaction are responsible for such linear systematics of quadrupole and magnetic moments, respectively.
The ground state and first intrinsic excited state of superheavy nuclei with Z=120 and N=160-204 are investigated using both non-relativistic Skyrme-Hartree-Fock and the axially deformed Relativistic Mean Field formalisms. We employ a simple BCS pairing approach for calculating the energy contribution from pairing interaction. The results for isotopic chain of binding energy, quadrupole deformation parameter, two neutron separation energies and some other observables are compared with the FRDM and some recent macroscopic-microscopic calculations. We predict superdeformed ground state solutions…
Three-nucleon forces (3NFs), and in particular terms of the Fujita-Miyazawa type, strongly influence the structure of neutron-rich exotic isotopes. Ab-initio calculations have shown that chiral two- and three-nucleon interactions correctly reproduce binding energy systematics and neutron driplines of oxygen and nearby isotopes. Exploiting the novel self-consistent Gorkov-Green's function approach, we present the first investigation of Ar, K, Ca, Sc and Ti isotopic chains. Leading chiral 3N interactions are mandatory to reproduce the trend of binding energies throughout these chains and to obta…
In the frame work of relativistic mean field (RMF) theory, we calculate the density distribution of protons and neutrons for $^{40,42, 44,48}Ca$ with NL3 and G2 parameter sets. The microscopic proton-nucleus optical potential for $p+^{40,42,44,48}Ca$ system is evaluated from Dirac NN-scattering amplitude and the density of the target nucleus using Relativistic-Love-Franey and McNeil-Ray-Wallace parametrizations. Then we estimate the scattering observables, such as elastic differential scattering cross-section, analyzing power and the spin observables with relativistic impulse approximation. We…
We studied the ground and excited states properties for Zr isotopes starting^M from proton to neutron drip-lines using the relativistic and non-relativistic mean field formalisms with BCS and Bogolyubov pairing. The celebrity NL3 and SLy4 parameter sets are used in the calculations. We find spherical ground and low-lying^M superdeformed excited states in most of the isotopes. Several couples of^M $Ω^π=1/2^{\pm}$ parity doublets configurations are found,^M while analyzing the single-particle energy levels of the superdeformed ^M configurations.
New results for electric dipole strength in the chain of even-even Calcium isotopes with the mass numbers A = 40 - 54 are presented. Starting from the covariant Lagrangian of Quantum Hadrodynamics, spectra of collective vibrations (phonons) and phonon-nucleon coupling vertices for $J \leq 6$ and normal parity were computed in a self-consistent relativistic quasiparticle random phase approximation (RQRPA). These vibrations coupled to Bogoliubov two-quasiparticle configurations (2q$\otimes$phonon) form the model space for the calculations of the dipole response function in the relativistic quasi…
The $N = 28$ shell gap in sulfur, argon, calcium and titanium isotopes is investigated in the framework of relativistic continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov (RCHB) theory. The evolutions of neutron shell gap, separation energy, single particle energy and pairing energy are analyzed, and it is found that $N = 28$ shell gap is quenched in sulfur isotopes but persists in argon, calcium and titanium isotopes. The evolution of $N = 28$ shell gap in $N = 28$ isotonic chain is discussed, and the erosion of $N = 28$ shell gap is understood with the evolution of potential with proton number.
Energies of the ground, $β$ and $γ$ bands as well as the associated B(E2) values are determined for each even-even isotope of the $^{180-196}$Pt chain by the exact solutions of some differential equations which approximate the generalized Bohr-Mottelson Hamiltonian. The emerging approaches are called the Sextic and Spheroidal Approach (SSA), the Sextic and Mathieu Approach (SMA), the Infinite Square Well and Spheroidal Approach (ISWSA) and the Infinite Square Well and Mathieu Approach (ISWMA), respectively. While the first three methods were formulated in some earlier papers of the present aut…
We solve the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) equations for deformed, axially symmetric even-even nuclei in coordinate space on a 2-D lattice utilizing the Basis-Spline expansion method. Results are presented for the neutron-rich zirconium isotopes up to the two-neutron dripline. In particular, we calculate binding energies, two-neutron separation energies, normal densities and pairing densities, mean square radii, quadrupole moments, and pairing gaps. Very large prolate quadrupole deformations (beta2=0.42,0.43,0.47) are found for the (102,104,112)Zr isotopes, in agreement with recent experimenta…
Study of the ground-state properties of Kr, Sr and Zr isotopes has been performed in the framework of the relativistic mean field (RMF) theory using the recently proposed relativistic parameter set NL-SH. It is shown that the RMF theory provides an unified and excellent description of the binding energies, isotope shifts and deformation properties of nuclei over a large range of isospin in the Z=40 region. It is observed that the RMF theory with the force NL-SH is able to describe the anomalous kinks in isotope shifts in Kr and Sr nuclei, the problem which has hitherto remained unresolved. Thi…
The caloric curve (excitation energy per particle as a function of temperature) for finite nuclei is calculated within the non-linear Walecka model for different proton fractions and different parameterizations. The results obtained are compared with published experimental data and other theoretical results. Other properties related with the droplet formation as the surface energy, neutron skin thickness and binding energy per nucleon are also displayed as a function of temperature and their behaviours are discussed. It is shown that the caloric curve is sensitive to the proton fraction and to…
Ground state properties of neutron rich even-even Be and C nuclei have been investigated using Relativistic Mean Field approach in co-ordinate space. The positions of the neutron drip line are correctly predicted for both the elements. The nucleus $^{14}$Be shows a two neutron halo but, contrary to expectation, $^{22}$C does not exhibit any halo structure. In carbon nuclei, N=16 comes out as a new magic number. The single particle level ordering observed in stable nuclei is found to be modified in neutron rich Be isotopes. Elastic partial scattering cross sections for proton scattering in inve…
The formation of new shell gaps in intermediate mass neutron-rich nuclei is investigated within the relativistic Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov theory, and the role of the Lorentz pseudo-vector and tensor interactions is analyzed. Based on the Foldy-Wouthuysen transformation, we discuss in detail the role played by the different terms of the Lorentz pseudo-vector and tensor interactions in the appearing of the $N=16$, 32 and 34 shell gaps. The nuclei $^{24}$O, $^{48}$Si and $^{52,54}$Ca are predicted with a large shell gap and zero ($^{24}$O, $^{52}$Ca) or almost zero ($^{48}$Si, $^{54}$Ca) pairing g…
The evolution of the energy difference between the neutron states $1i_{13/2}$ and $1h_{9/2}$ in the $N=82$ isotones and that between the proton states $1h_{11/2}$ and $1g_{7/2}$ in the $Z = 50$ isotopes are investigated within the framework of the relativistic Hartree-Fock theory, using the density-dependent effective interactions PKA1 and PKO$i$ ($i = 1 $, $ 2 $, $ 3 $). By identifying the contributions of the tensor force, which is naturally induced via the Fock terms, we find that the tensor force plays crucial roles in the evolution of the shell structure. The strength of the tensor force …
We investigate the linear-chain structures in highly excited states of $^{14}$C using a generalized molecular orbital model, by which we incorporate an asymmetric configuration of three $α$ clusters in the linear-chain states. By applying this model to the $^{14}$C system, we study the $^{10}$Be+$α$ correlation in the linear-chain state of $^{14}$C. To clarify the origin of the $^{10}$Be+$α$ correlation in the $^{14}$C linear-chain state, we analyze linear $3α$ and $3α+n$ systems in a similar way. We find that a linear 3$α$ system prefers the asymmetric 2$α+α$ configuration, whose origin is th…
The potential energy surfaces of even-even $^{142-156}$Ba are investigated in the constrained reflection-asymmetric relativistic mean-field approach with parameter set PK1. It is shown that for the ground states, $^{142}$Ba is near spherical,$^{156}$Ba well quadrupole-deformed, and in between $^{144-154}$Ba octupole deformed. In particular, the nuclei $^{148,150}$Ba with $N=92,94$ have the largest octupole deformations. By including the octupole degree of freedom, energy gaps $N=88$, $N=94$ and $Z=56$ near Fermi surfaces for the single-particle levels in $^{148}$Ba with $β_2\sim 0.26$ and $β_3…
Deformed multi-$Λ$ hypernuclei are studied within a relativistic mean-field model. In this paper, we take some $N=Z$ "hyper isotope" chains, i.e., $^{8+n}_{\ \ nΛ}{\rm Be}$, $^{20+n}_{\ \ \ nΛ}{\rm Ne}$, and $^{28+n}_{\ \ \ nΛ}{\rm Si}$ systems where $n = 2$, $4$ for Be, and $n = 2$, $8$ for Ne and Si. A sign of two-$^6_{2Λ}$He cluster structure is observed in the two-body correlation in $^{12}_{4Λ}$Be. In the Ne hyper isotopes, the deformation is slightly reduced by addition of $Λ$ hyperons whereas it is significantly reduced or even disappears in the Si hyper isotopes.
An extensive study is carried out for the island of stability in the superheavy nuclei of Z=120 and N=164-220 within the effective field theory motivated relativistic mean-field (E-RMF) and the non-relativistic Skyrme-Hartree-Fock (SHF) approaches. The relativistic G3 and IOPB-I and non-relativistic SLy4 and SkMP parameter sets are used for the investigations. Surface properties such as symmetry energy, neutron pressure and the curvature coefficient of symmetry energy are discussed within the coherent density fluctuation model (CDFM) using the Skyrme and the Brückner energy density functionals…
The recently developed structure model that uses the generator coordinate method to perform configuration mixing of angular-momentum projected wave functions, generated by constrained self-consistent relativistic mean-field calculations for triaxial shapes (3DAMP+GCM), is applied in a systematic study of ground states and low-energy collective states in the even-even magnesium isotopes $^{20-40}$Mg. Results obtained using a relativistic point-coupling nucleon-nucleon effective interaction in the particle-hole channel, and a density-independent $δ$-interaction in the pairing channel, are compar…
The evaporation residue of Barium isotopes are investigated in a microscopic study using relativistic mean field theory. The investigation includes the isotopes of Barium from the valley of stability to exotic proton-rich region. The ground as well as neck configurations for these nuclei are generated from their total nucleonic density distributions of the corresponding state. We have estimated the constituents (number of nucleons) in the elongated neck region of the fission state. We found the $α$-particle as the constituent of neck of Ba-isotopes, referred to as the evaporated residue in hea…
The Relativistic Mean Field (RMF) theory is applied to the analysis of ground-state properties of Ne, Na, Cl and Ar isotopes. In particular, we study the recently established proton skin in Ar isotopes and neutron skin in Na isotopes as a function of the difference between the proton and the neutron separation energy. We use the TMA effective interaction in the RMF Lagrangian, and describe pairing correlation by the density-independent delta-function interaction. We calculate single neutron and proton separation energies, quadrupole deformations, nuclear matter radii and differences between pr…
The anomalous behaviour of the charge radii of the isotopic chain of Pb nuclei has been studied in the relativistic mean field theory. It has been shown that the relativistic mean field provides an excellent description of the anomalous kink in the isotopic shifts about $^{208}$Pb. This contrasts strongly from the Skyrme mean field, where almost all the known and realistic forces fail to reproduce the observed trend in the empirical data on the charge radii. The results have been discussed in the perspective of differences in the ansätze of the relativistic and the Skyrme mean-field theories.
The electromagnetic features of the $11/2^-$ isomers in the $^{111-127}$Cd isotopes are reproduced by numerically optimized shell-model wave-functions. A sudden phase change of the wave functions at $N = 70$ is identified and further confirmed by the evolution of B(E2, $7/2^-_1\rightarrow 11/2^-_1$) values. This phase change gives rise to different linear relations for the $Q$ and $μ$ values with $N<70$ and $N>70$, as needed to reproduce the experimental data. The particle-hole transformation properties for $h_{11/2}$ neutrons in a well-isolated subshell involving degenerate $s_{1/2}$, $d_{3/2…

We calculate the binding energy, root-mean-square radius and quadrupole deformation parameter for the recent, possibly discovered superheavey element Z=122, using the axially deformed relativistic mean field (RMF) and non-relativistic Skyrme Hartree-Fock (SHF) formalisms. The calculation is extended to include various isotopes of Z=122 element, strarting from A=282 to A=320. We predict highly deformed structures in the ground state for all the isotopes. A shape transition appears at about A=290 from a highly oblate to a large prolate shape, which may be considered as the superdeformed and hype…
We have studied the anomalous behaviour of isotopic shifts of Pb nuclei in the relativistic mean field theory. It has been shown that the relativistic mean field provides an excellent description of the anomalous kink in the isotopic shifts about $^{208}$Pb. This is in contrast from density-dependent Skyrme forces which do not reproduce the observed trend in the empirical data on the charge radii. We discuss some differences in the description of isotope shifts in the RMF theory and the Skyrme mean field.
In this paper, we investigate features of the ground state of some nuclei far from the stability for isotope chains with proton numbers Z=18 and 20. Our aim is to predict the eventual existence of magic numbers in these exotic nuclei. For this purpose, we use two methods: the non relativistic Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) approach based on SLy4 Skyrme functional and the relativistic (so-called covariant) density functional theory (CDFT) by using the DD-ME2 force parametrization. We compare our results with the available experimental data and with the predictions of other models such as Finite …
We study microscopic structures of monopole pair vibrational modes and associated two-neutron transfer amplitudes in neutron-rich Sn isotopes by means of the linear response formalism of the quasiparticle random phase approximation(QRPA). For this purpose we introduce a method to decompose the transfer amplitudes with respect to two-quasiparticle components of the QRPA eigen mode. It is found that pair-addition ibrational modes in neutron-rich $^{132-140}$Sn and the pair rotational modes in $^{142-150}$Sn are commonly characterized by coherent contributions of quasaiparticle states having high…
We study Uranium isotopes and surrounding elements at very large neutron number excess. Relativistic mean field and Skyrme-type approaches with different parametrizations are used in the study. Most models show clear indications for isotopes that are stable with respect to neutron emission far beyond N=184 up to the range of around N=258.
We have calculated the binding energy, root-mean-square radius and quadrupole deformation parameter for the recently synthesized superheavy element Z=117, using the axially deformed relativistic mean field (RMF) model. The calculation is extended to various isotopes of Z=117 element, strarting from A=286 till A=310. We predict almost spherical structures in the ground state for almost all the isotopes. A shape transition appears at about A=292 from prolate to a oblate shape structures of Z=117 nucleus in our mean field approach. The most stable isotope (largest binding energy per nucleon) is f…
We use the relativistic mean field (RMF) theory to systematically study the change of deformation of even-even nuclei in the proton-rich Xe region. We investigate the appearance of triaxial deformation in 25 nuclei in the region covering Z=50-58 and N=64-72 by performing constrained, triaxially symmetric RMF calculations of their energy surfaces. We include pairing correlations using the BCS formalism. We find that the Sn isotopes are spherical and the Te isotopes are very gamma unstable with shallow minima around gamma = 60 degrees. Adding more protons, the Xe, Ba and Ce isotopes have prolate…
Dipole magnetic moments of several long isotopic chains are analyzed within the self-consistent Finite Fermi System theory based on the Generalized Energy Density Functional method with exact account for the pairing and quasi-particle continuum. New data for nuclei far from the beta-stability valley are included in the analysis. For a number of semi-magic isotopes of the tin and lead chains a good description of the data is obtained, with accuracy of 0.1 - 0.2 mu_N. A chain of non-magic isotopes of copper is also analyzed in detail. It is found that the systematic analysis of magnetic moments …
Relativistic mean field theory with the NL3 force is used for producing potential energy surfaces (PES) for series of isotopes suggested as exhibiting critical point symmetries. Relatively flat PES are obtained for nuclei showing the E(5) symmetry, while in nuclei corresponding to the X(5) case, PES with a bump are obtained. The PES corresponding to the Pt chain of isotopes suggest a transition from prolate to oblate shapes at 186-Pt.
The shape of a nucleus is one of fundamental nuclear properties. We perform a systematic investigation of bubble nuclei that also exhibit shape coexistence in Hf, W, Os, Pt and Hg even-even isotopes using the deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum. For a systematic study, we first consider nuclear bubble structures and shape coexistence separately. We confirm that deformations and pairing correlations hinder bubble structures by comparing our results with those from relativistic continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov theory that assumes spherical symmetry in nuclei. We then predict…
Proton elastic scattering off Sn isotopes at $E_p=295$ MeV in the mass number range of $A=$116--124 was investigated using calculation employing relativistic impulse approximation (RIA) with theoretical densities obtained for the Sn isotopes from relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov (RHB) and nonrelativistic Skyrme Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (SHFB) calculations of spherical nuclei. In the RIA calculations, a modified version of the Murdock and Horowitz model that includes a density dependence in the effective nucleon-nucleon ($NN$) interaction was used. A calculation using the theoretical density obta…
The Relativistic Continuum Hartree Bogoliubov theory (RCHB), which is the extension of the Relativistic Mean Field and the Bogoliubov transformation in the coordinate representation, has been used to study tin isotopes. The pairing correlation is taken into account by a density-dependent force of zero range. RCHB is used to describe the even-even tin isotopes all the way from the proton drip line to the neutron drip line. The contribution of the continuum which is important for nuclei near the drip-line has been taken into account. The theoretical $S_{2n}$ as well as the neutron, proton, and m…
The isospin dependence of incompressibility is investigated in the Skyrme Hartree-Fock (SHF) and relativistic mean field (RMF) models. The correlations between the nuclear matter incompressibility and the isospin dependent term of the finite nucleus incompressibility is elucidated by using the Thomas-Fermi approximation. The Coulomb term is also studied by using various different Skyrme Hamiltonians and RMF Lagrangians. The symmetry energy coefficient of incompressibility is extracted to be K_τ=-(500\pm50) MeV from the recent experimental data of isoscalar giant monopole resonances (ISGMR) in …
