We establish dual equivalent forms involving relative entropy, Fisher information and optimal transport costs of inverse Santal{ó} inequalities. We show in particular that the Mahler conjecture is equivalent to some dimensional lower bound on the deficit in the Gaussian logarithmic Sobolev inequality. Using the results of the $L_p$ Minkowski theory for log-concave function established in \cite{fan-xin-ye-geo2020}, we characterize the $L_p$ John ellipsoid for log-concave function, and establish some inequalities of the $L_p$ John ellipsoid for log-concave function. In this note, we explore the extent to which different notions of distance between probability measures are comparable for log-concave distributions. Our results imply that weak convergence of isotropic log-concave distributions is equivalent to convergence in total variation, and is further equivalent to convergence in relative entropy when the limit measure is Gaussian.
