We analyse the noncommutative space underlying the quantum group SUq(2) from the spectral point of view which is the basis of noncommutative geometry, and show how the general theory developped in our joint work with H. Moscovici applies to the specific spectral triple defined by Chakraborty and Pal. On local properties of Hochschild cohomology of a C$^*$- algebra

Let $A$ be a C$^*$-algebra, and let $X$ be a Banach $A$-bimodule. B. E. Johnson showed that local derivations from $A$ into $X$ are derivations. We extend this concept of locality to the higher cohomology of a $C^*$-algebra %for $n$-cocycles from $A^{(n)}$ into $X$ and show that, for every $n\in \N$, bounded local $n$-cocycles from $A^{(n)}$ into $X$ are $n$-cocycles.

On unbounded, non-trivial Hochschild cohomology in finite von Neumann algebras and higher order Berezin's quantization

We introduce a class of densely defined, unbounded, 2-Hochschild cocycles ([PT]) on finite von Neumann algebras $M$. Our cocycles admit a coboundary, determined by an unbounded operator on the standard Hilbert space associated to the von Neumann algebra $M$. The resolvent cocycle in twisted cyclic cohomology and a local index formula for the Podles sphere

We continue the investigation of twisted homology theories in the context of dimension drop phenomena. This work unifies previous equivariant index calculations in twisted cyclic cohomology. We do this by proving the existence of the resolvent cocycle, a finitely summable analogue of the JLO cocycle, under weaker smoothness hypotheses and in the more general setting of `modular' spectral triples. As an application we show that using our twisted resolvent cocycle, we can obtain a local index formula for the Podles sphere. A twisted spectral triple for quantum SU(2)

We initiate the study of a q-deformed geometry for quantum SU(2). In contrast with the usual properties of a spectral triple, we get that only twisted commutators between algebra elements and our Dirac operator are bounded. Furthermore, the resolvent only becomes compact when measured with respect to a trace on a semifinite von Neumann algebra which does not contain the quantum group.
