The Ising approximation of the Heisenberg model in a strong magnetic field, with two, three and six spin exchange interactions is studied on a kagome chain. The kagome chain can be considered as an approximation of the third layer of 3He absorbed on the surface of graphite (kagome lattice). By using dynamical approach we have found one and multi-dimensional mappings (recursion relations) for the partition function. The magnetization diagrams are plotted and they show that the kagome chain is separating into four sublattices with different magnetizations. Magnetization curves of two sublattices exhibit plateaus at zero and 2/3 of the saturation field. The maximal Lyapunov exponent for multi-dimensional mapping is considered and it is shown that near the magnetization plateaus the maximal Lyapunov exponent also exhibits plateaus.
We obtain a classical spin liquid (CSL) phase by applying a magnetic field in $J_1$-$J_2$-$J_3$ Ising model on a kagome lattice. As we proved in the previous study [Phys. Rev. Lett. {\bf 119}, 077207 (2017)], this model realizes one species of CSL, the hexamer CSL, at zero magnetic field, which consists of macroscopically degenerate spin configurations with mixed total magnetization, $M$. The magnetic field selects its subset, which can be mapped to a trimer covering of the dual lattice, and forms a magnetization plateau of $M=1/9$. In addition to this CSL, we find two other magnetization plat…
We discuss the ground-state degeneracy of spin-$1/2$ kagome-lattice quantum antiferromagnets on magnetization plateaus by employing two complementary methods: the adiabatic flux insertion in closed boundary conditions and a 't Hooft anomaly argument on inherent symmetries in a quasi-one-dimensional limit. The flux insertion with a tilted boundary condition restricts the lower bound of the ground-state degeneracy on $1/9$, $1/3$, $5/9$, and $7/9$ magnetization plateaus under the $\mathrm{U(1)}$ spin-rotation and the translation symmetries: $3$, $1$, $3$, and $3$, respectively. This result motiv…
Asymmetric destruction of the one-third magnetization plateau upon heating is found in the spin-1/2 kagome Heisenberg antiferromagnets using the typical pure quantum state approach. The asymmetry originates from larger density of states of low-lying excited sates of $N_{\rm s}$ spin systems with magnetization $(1/3-2/N_{\rm s})$ than that of low-lying sates with magnetization $(1/3+2/N_{\rm s})$. The enhanced specific heat and entropy that reflect the larger density of states in the lower-field side of the plateau are detectable in candidate materials of the kagome antiferromagnets. We discuss…
An effective-field theory based on the single-spin cluster has been used to study of a diluted spin-$1/2$ Ising antiferromagnet on the Kagome lattice with nearest-neighbor interactions. We observe five plateaus in the magnetization curve of the diluted antiferromagnet when a magnetic field is applied which is in agreement with Monte Carlo calculation. The effect of the site-dilution on the magnetic susceptibility is also investigated and discussed. In particular, we have found that the frustrated Kagome lattice inverse susceptibility fall to zero at $0$K.
