An explicit homomorphism that relates the elements of the infinite dimensional non-Abelian algebra generating $O_q(\hat{sl_2})$ currents and the standard generators of the $q-$Onsager algebra is proposed. Two straightforward applications of the result are then considered: First, for the class of quantum integrable models which integrability condition originates in the $q-$Onsager spectrum generating algebra, the infinite $q-$deformed Dolan-Grady hierarchy is derived - bypassing the transfer matrix formalism. Secondly, higher Askey-Wilson relations that arise in the study of symmetric special functions generalizing the Askey-Wilson $q-$orthogonal polynomials are proposed.
We calculate factorizing twists in evaluation representations of the quantum affine algebra U_q(\hat sl_2). From the factorizing twists we derive a representation independent expression of the R-matrices of U_q(\hat sl_2). Comparing with the corresponding quantities for the Yangian Y(sl_2), it is shown that the U_q(\hat sl_2) results can be obtained by `replacing numbers by q-numbers'. Conversely, the limit q -> 1 exists in representations of U_q(\hat sl_2) and both the factorizing twists and the R-matrices of the Yangian Y(sl_2) are recovered in this limit.
Umbral calculus can be viewed as an abstract theory of the Heisenberg commutation relation $[\hat P,\hat M]=1$. In ordinary quantum mechanics $\hat P$ is the derivative and $\hat M$ the coordinate operator. Here we shall realize $\hat P$ as a second order differential operator and $\hat M$ as a first order integral one. We show that this makes it possible to solve large classes of differential and integro-differential equations and to introduce new classes of orthogonal polynomials, related to Laguerre polynomials. These polynomials are particularly well suited for describing so called flatenn…
In this paper we generalize certain results concerning quantum affine algebra $U_{q}(\hat{sl_{2}})$ at the critical level to the corresponding elliptic case $E_{q,p}(\hat{sl_2})$. Using the Wakimoto realization of the algebra $E_{q,p}(\hat{sl_2})$, we construct the central elements of it at the critical level. It turns out that the so called Drinfeld conjecture originally proposed for Kac-Moody algebras also holds for the elliptic quantum algebras.
A Temperley-Lieb algebra is extracted from the operator structure of a new class of $N^{2}\times N^{2}$ braid matrices presented and studied in previous papers and designated as $S\hat{O}_{(q)}(N)$, $S\hat{p}%_{(q)}(N)$ for the q-deformed orthogonal and symplectic cases respectively. Spin chain Hamiltonians are derived from such braid matrices and the corresponding chains are studied. Time evolutions of the chains and the possibility of transition of data encoded in the parameters of mixed states from one end to the other are analyzed. The entanglement entropies $% S(q,N)$ of eigenstates of th…
We give a precise expression for the universal weight function of the quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{sl}_3)$. The calculations use the technique of projecting products of Drinfeld currents on the intersections of Borel subalgebras.
We introduce a free field realization of the central extension of the Lie algebra $\mathcal{D}_q$ of difference operators on the circle in terms of the fermionic $η$-$ξ$ system. This realization admits a nontrivial Jordan block structure. We also review the free field realization of $\mathcal{W}_{1+\infty}$ algebra, and point out some relations beween its generators of weight zero and the local integrals of motion of Bazhanov Lukyanov and Zamolodchikov. Finally we compute the finitized characters, and the continuum characters of the Local Integrals of Motion, and find out and interesting analo…
By using the elliptic analogue of the Drinfeld currents in the elliptic algebra U_{q,p}(\hat{sl}_N), we construct a L-operator, which satisfies the RLL-relations characterizing the face type elliptic quantum group B_{q,λ}(\hat{sl}_N). For this purpose, we introduce a set of new currents K_j(v) (1\leq j\leq N) in U_{q,p}(\hat{sl}_N). As in the N=2 case, we find a structure of U_{q,p}(\hat{sl}_N) as a certain tensor product of B_{q,λ}(\hat{sl}_N) and a Heisenberg algebra. In the level-one representation, we give a free field realization of the currents in U_{q,p}(\hat{sl}_N). Using the coalgebra…
We identify generating functionals that satisfy dynamical exchange relations with the Lax matrices defining the face-type elliptic quantum algebra ${\mathcal{B}}_{q,λ}(\hat{gl}_{2})_c$, when the central charge takes the two possible values $c =\pm 2$. These generating functionals are constructed as quadratic trace-like objects in terms of the Lax matrices. The obtained structures are characterized as "dynamical centers", i.e. the centrality property is deformed by dynamical shifts. For these values, the functionals define (genuine) abelian subalgebras of ${\mathcal{B}}_{q,λ}(\hat{gl}_{2})_c$.
The second order casimirs for the affine Krichever--Novikov algebras $\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}_{g,2}$ and $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_{g,2}$ are described. More general operators which we call semi-casimirs are introduced. It is proven that the semi-casimirs induce well-defined operators on conformal blocks and, for a certain moduli space of Riemann surfaces with two marked points and fixed jets of local coordinates, there is a natural projection of its tangent space onto the space of these operators. It is (non-formally) explained how semi-casimirs appear in course of operator quantization of the second …
We present a geometric approach to defining an algebra $\hat{\mathcal G}(M)$ (the Colombeau algebra) of generalized functions on a smooth manifold $M$ containing the space ${\mathcal D}'(M)$ of distributions on $M$. Based on differential calculus in convenient vector spaces we achieve an intrinsic construction of $\hat{\mathcal G}(M)$. $\hat{\mathcal G}(M)$ is a{\em differential} algebra, its elements possessing Lie derivatives with respect to arbitrary smooth vector fields. Moreover, we construct a canonical linear embedding of ${\mathcal D}'(M)$ into $\hat{\mathcal G}(M)$ that renders ${\mat…
In this paper we construct separated variables for quantum integrable models related to the algebra $U_q(\hat{sl}_N)$. This generalizes the results by Sklyanin for $N=2,3$.
We compute an universal weight function (off-shell Bethe vectors) in any representation with a weight singular vector of the quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}_N)$ applying the method of projections of Drinfeld currents developed in arXiv:math/0610398.
We present the construction of an associative, commutative algebra $\hat {\mathcal G}$ of generalized functions on a manifold $X$ satisfying the following optimal set of permanence properties: (i)The space of distributions on $X$ is linearly embedded into $\hat {\mathcal G}$, $f(p)\equiv 1$ is the unity in the algebra. (ii) For every smooth vector field $ξ$ on $X$ there exists a derivation operator $\hat L_ξ: \hat {\mathcal G} \to \hat {\mathcal G}$ which is linear and satisfies the Leibniz rule. (iii) $L_ξ$ restricted to the space of distributions on $X$ is the usual Lie derivative. (iv) Mult…
We introduce three non-trivial 2-cocycles $c_k$, k=0,1,2, on the Lie algebra $S^3H=Map(S^3,H)$ with the aid of the corresponding basis vector fields on $S^3$, and extend them to 2-cocycles on the Lie algebra $S^3gl(n,H)=S^3H \otimes gl(n,C)$. Then we have the corresponding central extension $S^3gl(n,H)\oplus \oplus_k (Ca_k)$. As a subalgebra of $S^3H$ we have the algebra $C[ϕ]$ of the Laurent polynomial spinors on $S^3$. Then we have a Lie subalgebra $\hat{gl}(n, H)=C[ϕ] \otimes gl(n, C)$ of $S^3gl(n,H)$, as well as its central extension by the 2-cocycles ${c_k}$ and the Euler vector field $d$…
We study $\mathcal{N}=2$ superconformal field theory and define the R-matrix which acts as an intertwining operator between different realizations of $\mathcal{N}=2$ $W-$algebras of type $A$. Using this R-matrix we define $RLL$ algebra and relate it to current realization of affine Yangian of $\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}(1|1)$.
We continue investigation of the universal weight function for the quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}_N)$ started in arXiv:math/0610517 and arXiv:0711.2819. We obtain two recurrence relations for the universal weight function applying the method of projections developed in arXiv:math/0610398. On the level of the evaluation representation of $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}_N)$ we reproduce both recurrence relations for the off-shell Bethe vectors calculated in arXiv:math/0702277 using combinatorial methods.
The mathematical structure of the sheaf of Dedekind real numbers $\RsubD(X)$ for a quantum system is discussed. The algebra of physical qualities is represented by an $O^{*}$ algebra $\mathcal M$ that acts on a Hilbert space that carries an irreducible representation of the symmetry group of the system. $X =\EsubS(\mathcal M)$, the state space for $\mathcal M$, has the weak topology generated by the functions $ a_{Q}(\cdot)$, defined for $\hat A \in \mathcal M_{sa} $ and $\forall \hat ρ\in \EsubS(\mathcal M) $, by $ a_{Q}(\hat ρ) = Tr \hat A \hat ρ$. For any open subset $W$ of $\EsubS(\mathcal…
Let $H$ be the quaternion algebra. Let $g$ be a complex Lie algebra and let $U(g)$ be the enveloping algebra of $g$. We define a Lie algebra structure on the tensor product space of $H$ and $U(g)$, and obtain the quaternification $g^H$ of $g$. Let $S^3g^H$ be the set of $g^H$-valued smooth mappings over $S^3$. The Lie algebra structure on $S^3g^H$ is induced naturally from that of $g^H$. On $S^3$ exists the space of Laurent polynomial spinors spanned by a complete orthogonal system of eigen spinors of the tangential Dirac operator on $S^3$. Tensoring $U(g)$ we have the space of $U(g)$-valued L…
We study a Fermi Hamilton operator $\hat K$ which does not commute with the number operator $\hat N$. The eigenvalue problem and the Schrödinger equation is solved. Entanglement is also discussed. Furthermore the Lie algebra generated by the two terms of the Hamilton operator is derived and the Lie algebra generated by the Hamilton operator and the number operator is also classified.
We propose a new realization of the elliptic quantum group equipped with the H-Hopf algebroid structure on the basis of the elliptic algebra U_{q,p}(\hat{sl}_2). The algebra U_{q,p}(\hat{sl}_2) has a constructive definition in terms of the Drinfeld generators of the quantum affine algebra U_q(\hat{sl}_2) and a Heisenberg algebra. This yields a systematic construction of both finite and infinite-dimensional dynamical representations and their parallel structures to U_q(\hat{sl}_2). In particular we give a classification theorem of the finite-dimensional irreducible pseudo-highest weight represe…

Let $G$ be a finite group and $H$ a normal subgroup. Starting from $G$-spin models, in which a non-Abelian field ${\mathcal{F}}_H$ w.r.t. $H$ carries an action of the Hopf $C^*$-algebra $D(H;G)$, a subalgebra of the quantum double $D(G)$, the concrete construction of the observable algebra ${\mathcal{A}}_{(H,G)}$ is given, as $D(H;G)$-invariant subspace. Furthermore, using the iterated twisted tensor product, one can prove that the observable algebra ${\mathcal{A}}_{(H,G)}=\cdots\rtimes H\rtimes\hat{G}\rtimes H\rtimes\hat{G}\rtimes H\rtimes\cdots$, where $\hat{G}$ denotes the algebra of comple…
A one-parameter generalized Wigner-Heisenberg algebra( WHA) is reviewed in detail. It is shown that WHA verifies the deformed commutation rule $[\hat{x}, \hat{p}_λ] = i(1 + 2λ\hat{R})$ and also highlights the dynamical symmetries of the pseudo-harmonic oscillator( PHO). \textbf{The present article is devoted to the study of new cat-states} built from $λ$-deformed Schrödinger coherent states, which according to the Barut-Girardello scheme are defined as the eigenstates of the generalized annihilation operator. Particular attention is devoted to the limiting case where the Schrödinger cat states…
We consider quantum mechanics on the noncommutative spaces characterized by the commutation relations $$ [x_a, x_b] \ =\ iθf_{abc} x_c\,, $$ where $f_{abc}$ are the structure constants of a Lie algebra. We note that this problem can be reformulated as an ordinary quantum problem in a commuting momentum space. The coordinates are then represented as linear differential operators $\hat x_a = -i\hat D_a = -iE_{ab} (p)\, \partial /\partial p_b $. Generically, the matrix $E_{ab}(p)$ represents a certain infinite series over the deformation parameter $θ$: $E_{ab} = δ_{ab} + \ldots$. The deformed Ham…
We consider two complexes. The first complex is the twisted de Rham complex of scalar meromorphic differential forms on projective line, holomorphic on the complement to a finite set of points. The second complex is the chain complex of the Lie algebra of $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-valued algebraic functions on the same complement, with coefficients in a tensor product of contragradient Verma modules over the affine Lie algebra $\hat{{\mathfrak{sl}_2}}$. In [Schechtman V., Varchenko A., Mosc. Math. J. 17 (2017), 787-802] a construction of a monomorphism of the first complex to the second was suggested …
The infinite affine Lie algebras of type ABCD, also called $\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}(\infty)$, $\widehat{\mathfrak{o}}(\infty)$, $\widehat{\mathfrak{sp}}(\infty)$, are equivalent to subalgebras of the quantum $W_{1+\infty}$ algebras. They have well-known representations on the Fock space of either a Dirac fermion ($\hat A_\infty$), a Majorana fermion ($\hat B_\infty$ and $\hat D_\infty$) or a symplectic boson ($\hat C_\infty$). Explicit formulas for the action of the quantum $W_{1+\infty}$ subalgebras on the Fock states are proposed for each representation. These formulas are the equivalent of …
