Symmetric tensor representations,quasimodular forms, and weak Jacobi forms

We establish a correspondence between vector-valued modular forms with respect to a symmetric tensor representation and quasimodular forms. This is carried out by first obtaining an explicit isomorphism between the space of vector-valued modular forms with respect to a symmetric tensor representation and the space of finite sequences of modular forms of certain type. This isomorphism uses Rankin-Cohen brackets and extends a result of Kuga and Shimura, who considered the case of vector-valued modular forms of weight two. We also obtain a correspondence between such vector-valued modular forms and weak Jacobi forms.

Quasimodular forms, Jacobi-like forms, and pseudodifferential operators

We study various properties of quasimodular forms by using their connections with Jacobi-like forms and pseudodifferential operators. Such connections are made by identifying quasimodular forms for a discrete subgroup $\G$ of $SL(2, \bR)$ with certain polynomials over the ring of holomorphic functions of the Poincaré upper half plane that are $\G$-invariant. Families of Quasimodular Forms and Jacobi Forms: The Crank Statistic for Partitions

Families of quasimodular forms arise naturally in many situations such as curve counting on Abelian surfaces and counting ramified covers of orbifolds. In many cases the family of quasimodular forms naturally arises as the coefficients of a Taylor expansion of a Jacobi form. The Bloch-Okounkov theorem for congruence subgroups and Taylor coefficients of quasi-Jacobi forms

There are many families of functions on partitions, such as the shifted symmetric functions, for which the corresponding q-brackets are quasimodular forms. We extend these families so that the corresponding q-brackets are quasimodular for a congruence subgroup. Moreover, we find subspaces of these families for which the q-bracket is a modular form. These results follow from the properties of Taylor coefficients of strictly meromorphic quasi-Jacobi forms around rational lattice points.

On p-adic modular forms and the Bloch-Okounkov theorem

Bloch-Okounkov studied certain functions on partitions $f$ called shifted symmetric polynomials. They showed that certain $q$-series arising from these functions (the so-called \emph{$q$-brackets} $\left<f\right>_q$) are quasimodular forms. We revisit a family of such functions, denoted $Q_k$, and study the $p$-adic properties of their $q$-brackets. To do this, we define regularized versions $Q_k^{(p)}$ for primes $p.$ We also use Jacobi forms to show that the $\left<Q_k^{(p)}\right>_q$ are quasimodular and find explicit expressions for them in terms of the $\left<Q_k\right>_q$.

Formal deformations of the algebra of Jacobi forms and Rankin-Cohen brackets

This work is devoted to the algebraic and arithmetic properties of Rankin-Cohen brackets allowing to define and study them in several natural situations of number theory. It focuses on the property of these brackets to be formal deformations of the algebras on which they are defined, with related questions on restriction-extension methods. The general algebraic results developed here are applied to the study of formal deformations of the algebra of weak Jacobi forms and their relation with the Rankin-Cohen brackets on modular and quasimodular forms.

Vector-valued Hirzebruch-Zagier series and class number sums

For any number $m \equiv 0,1 \, (4)$ we correct the generating function of Hurwitz class number sums $\sum_r H(4n - mr^2)$ to a modular form (or quasimodular form if $m$ is a square) of weight two for the Weil representation attached to a binary quadratic form of discriminant $m$ and determine its behavior in the Petersson scalar product. Some topological genera and Jacobi forms

We revisit and elucidate the $\widehat{A}$-genus, Hirzebruch's $L$-genus and Witten's $W$-genus, cobordism invariants of special classes of manifolds. After slight modification, involving Hecke's trick, we find that the $\widehat{A}$-genus and $L$-genus arise directly from Jacobi's theta function. Some aspects of Hermitian Jacobi forms

We introduce a certain differential (heat) operator on the space of Hermitian Jacobi forms of degree 1, show it's commutation with certain Hecke operators and use it to construct a lift of elliptic cusp forms to Hermitian Jacobi cusp forms.
