The quantum de Sitter root of quasi de Sitter observables: a pedagogical review

In inflationary cosmology the quasi de Sitter graceful exit allows us to measure the quantum features of the primordial dS phase, in particular, the lack of scale invariance parametrized by the spectral index $n_s$. In this review we summarize previous work on how the underlying primordial scaling law is implemented in the dS quantum Fisher information of the dS planar ground state (dSQFI). At large scales the dSQFI unequivocally sets, without any qdS input, the value of $n_s$ to be $0.9672$. Anti-de Sitter Supersymmetry

We give a pedagogical introduction to certain aspects of supersymmetric field theories in anti-de Sitter space. Among them are the presence of masslike terms in massless wave equations, irreducible unitary representations and the phenomenon of multiplet shortening.

Les Houches Lectures on De Sitter Space

These lectures present an elementary discussion of some background material relevant to the problem of de Sitter quantum gravity. The first two lectures discuss the classical geometry of de Sitter space and properties of quantum field theory on de Sitter space, especially the temperature and entropy of de Sitter space. The final lecture contains a pedagogical discussion of the appearance of the conformal group as an asymptotic symmetry group, which is central to the dS/CFT correspondence. A (previously lacking) derivation of asymptotically de Sitter boundary conditions is also given.

Black Holes in Higher Dimensions

We review black hole solutions of higher-dimensional vacuum gravity, and of higher-dimensional supergravity theories. The discussion of vacuum gravity is pedagogical, with detailed reviews of Myers-Perry solutions, black rings, and solution-generating techniques. We discuss black hole solutions of maximal supergravity theories, including black holes in anti-de Sitter space. General results and open problems are discussed throughout.

De Sitter hunting in a classical landscape

We elaborate on the construction of de Sitter solutions from IIA orientifolds of SU(3)-structure manifolds that solve the 10-dimensional equations of motion at tree-level in the approximation of smeared sources. First we classify geometries that are orbifolds of a group manifold covering space which, upon the proper inclusion of O6 planes, can be described within the framework of N=1 supergravity in 4D.
