Some exactly solvable and tunable frustrated spin models

We discuss three exactly solvable spin models of geometric frustration. First, we discuss a 1-parameter subfamily of the 16 vertex model, which can be mapped to a planar Ising model and solved via Fisher-Dubedát decorations. We then consider a 1-parameter family generalization of the Villain's fully frustrated model, which interpolates between Onsager's 2D Ising model and the Villain one. We then discuss spin ice models on a tree, which can be solved exactly using recursions \textit{a lá Bethe}.

Annihilation-diffusion processes: an exactly solvable model

A family of diffusion-annihilation processes is introduced, which is exactly solvable. This family contains parameters that control the diffusion- and annihilation- rates. The solution is based on the Bethe ansatz and using special boundary conditions to represent the reaction. The processes are investigated, both on the lattice and on the continuum. Special cases of this family of processes are the simple exclusion process and the drop-push model.

A new family of exactly solvable disordered reaction-diffusion systems

Using a matrix product method the steady-state of a family of disordered reaction-diffusion systems consisting of different species of interacting classical particles moving on a lattice with periodic boundary conditions is studied. A new generalized quadratic algebra and its matrix representations is introduced. The steady-states of two members of this exactly solvable family of systems are studied in detail.

Faceting Transition in an Exactly Solvable Terrace-Ledge-Kink model

We solve exactly a Terrace-Ledge-Kink (TLK) model describing a crystal surface at a microscopic level. We show that there is a faceting transition driven either by temperature or by the chemical potential that controls the slope of the surface. In the rough phase we investigate thermal fluctuations of the surface using Conformal Field Theory.

Magnetic properties of exactly solvable doubly decorated Ising-Heisenberg planar models

Applying the decoration-iteration procedure, we introduce a class of exactly solvable doubly decorated planar models consisting both of the Ising- and Heisenberg-type atoms. Exact solutions for the ground state, phase diagrams and basic physical quantities are derived and discussed. The detailed analysis of the relevant quantities suggests the existence of an interesting quantum antiferromagnetic phase in the system.

Polymer dynamics in time-dependent Matheron-de Marsily flows: An exactly solvable model

We introduce a new model of random layered media, extending the Matheron-de Marsily model: Here we allow for the flows to change in time. For such layered structures, we solve exactly the equations of motion for single particles, and also for polymers modelled as Rouse chains. The results show a rich variety of dynamical patterns.

Exactly Solvable 1D Quantum Models with Gamma Matrices

In this paper, we write exactly solvable generalizations of 1-dimensional quantum XY and Ising-like models by using $2^d$-dimensional Gamma ($Γ$) matrices as the degrees of freedom on each site. We show that these models result in quadratic Fermionic Hamiltonians with Jordan-Wigner like transformations. We illustrate the techniques using a specific case of 4-dimensional $Γ$ matrices and explore the quantum phase transitions present in the model.
