We compare theoretical expectations for the observation of spin correlations in top quark pair production and decay at the Fermilab Tevatron and the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). In particular, we note that the differing top quark pair production mechanisms in the two environments test different aspects of the Standard Model and require different strategies to observe the correlations. At the Tevatron, production is dominated by q qbar --> t tbar and the strategy is to construct a double-decay angle distribution where one decay angle is measured in the t rest frame and the other in the tbar rest frame. The dominant process at the LHC is gg --> t tbar, with a rich spin structure that allows for a second option in observing spin correlations. Here the strategy is to select events where the t tbar pair is produced at relatively low velocity in the zero momentum frame (ZMF). For these events, there are strong azimuthal correlations between t and tbar decay products present. This measurement enjoys the advantage that it can be carried out in the laboratory frame.
In this review, we first discuss the perspectives concerning a better determination of the proton structure in terms of quarks and gluons at LHC after describing the results coming from HERA and Tevatron. In a second part of the review, we describe the diffractive phenomena at HERA and Tevatron and the consequences for LHC.
I review the prospects for measuring the properties of the top quark at the Tevatron, with an integrated luminosity of 2 fb$^{-1}$ or more, and at LHC in the early running at instantaneous luminosities of $10^{32}-10^{33}~cm^{-2}~s^{-1}$.
A review of the current experimental results on searches for Higgs bosons in models beyond the Standard Model is presented. Searches from ATLAS, CMS and LHCb use datasets from Run 1 of the LHC, including 7 and 8 TeV proton-proton collisions. Searches from CDF and D0 use the full or partial 1.96 TeV proton-anti-proton collision datasets from the Tevatron.
We study the discovery reach of the Tevatron and the LHC for detecting a Higgs boson (h), predicted in composite models of the electroweak symmetry breaking or in supersymmetric theories, with an enhanced b-quark Yukawa coupling via p \bar{p} / p p \to b \bbar h (\to b \bbar) + X. Our analysis shows that studying this process at the Tevatron Run II or the LHC can provide strong constraints on these models.
Almost two decades after its discovery at Fermilab's Tevatron collider experiments, the top quark is still under the spotlight due to its connections to some of the most interesting puzzles in the Standard Model. The Tevatron has been shut down two years ago, yet some interesting results are coming out of the CDF and D0 collaborations. The LHC collider at CERN produced two orders of magnitude more top quarks than Tevatron's, thus giving birth to a new era for top quark physics. While the LHC is also down at the time of this writing, many top quark physics results are being extracted out of the…
We analyze the Tevatron and Large Hadron Collider (LHC) reach for the Higgs sector of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) in the presence of explicit CP-violation. Using the most recent studies from the Tevatron and LHC collaborations, we examine the CPX benchmark scenario for a range of CP-violating phases in the soft trilinear and gluino mass terms and compute the exclusion/discovery potentials for each collider on the $(M_{H^+}, \tanβ)$ plane. Projected results from Standard Model (SM)-like, non-standard, and charged Higgs searches are combined to maximize the statistical signi…
I present the latest calculations of total and differential cross sections for top-antitop pair production and single top quark production via all main partonic channels. Higher-order corrections from the resummation of soft gluons are added through NNLL accuracy. Detailed numerical results are presented for approximate NNLO cross sections and top quark transverse momentum distributions at the Tevatron and LHC colliders.
Higgs bosons can be searched for in the channels $p\bar p/pp\to t\bar tH+X$ at the Tevatron and the LHC. We have calculated the QCD corrections to these processes in the Standard Model at next-to-leading order. The higher-order corrections reduce the renormalization and factorization scale dependence considerably and stabilize the theoretical predictions for the cross sections. At the central scale $μ=(2m_t+M_H)/2$ the properly defined $K$ factors are slightly below unity for the Tevatron ($K \sim 0.8$) and slightly above unity for the LHC ($K \sim 1.2$).
In these proceedings we summarise the recent studies of exotic hadrons performed at the LHC and Tevatron. The X(3872) production cross section and mass measurements are reported, along with the determination of its quantum numbers, the searches for decays to $\mathrm{p\bar{p}}$, and for partner states in the bottomonium sector. Furthermore, we discuss the Y(4140) and Y(4274) structures, observed by several experiments in the $J/ψϕ$ invariant mass spectrum.
The measurement of a charge asymmetry in t tbar production at LHC constitutes more than an independent confirmation of the forward-backward asymmetry found at Tevatron. Indeed, both measurements together can be used to identify the source of the asymmetry. This is demonstrated for the case of new Z', W' vector bosons and colour-sextet and triplet scalars, exchanged in t, u channels respectively, and a very heavy axigluon in the s channel.
The uncertainties in estimating the hadronic production of the $B_c$ meson are studied under the framework of the complete $α_s^4$ approach of the perturbative QCD and the gluon-gluon fusion mechanism. Quantitative comparisons on the production at TEVATRON and LHC are made. Considering the detectors at TEVATRON and LHC, we have also estimated the production with proper kinematic cuts. Based on the results, we conclude that the experimental studies of the $B_c$ meson at the two colliders will be complimentary and stimulative. We find that as c.m. energy is increasing from RUN-I to RUN-II at TEV…
We study contributions of a scalar diquark particle in a color representation of anti-triplet and sextet to the top quark pair production at the Tevatron and the Large hadron collider (LHC). The model can give Forward-Backward (FB) asymmetry at the Tevatron while can avoid the same sign top quark production at the LHC by assuming the top-number conserving diquark couplings. We study compatibility between the large positive FB asymmetry observed at the Tevatron and non-observation of the charge asymmetry at the LHC, by including contributions from the single and pair production of diquarks. We …
We present a systematic comparison of jet predictions at the LHC and the Tevatron, with accuracy up to next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO). The exact computation at NNLO is completed for the gluons-only channel, so we compare the exact predictions for this channel with an approximate prediction based on threshold resummation, in order to determine the regions where this approximation is reliable at NNLO. The kinematic regions used in this study are identical to the experimental setup used by recently published jet data from the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the LHC, and CDF and D0 experiments …
We study the phenomenology of same sign top pair production at the LHC in a model-independent way. The complete set of dimension six operators involving two top (or anti-top) quarks is introduced and the connection with all possible t- or s-channel particle exchanges is established. Only in the former case, same and opposite sign top pair production can be related. We find that while current Tevatron data disfavor t-channel models, other production mechanisms are viable and can be tested at the LHC.
We consider the top forward-backward (FB) asymmetry at the Tevatron and top charge asymmetry at the LHC within chiral U(1)^\prime models with flavor-dependent U(1)^\prime charges and flavored Higgs fields, which were introduced in the ref. [65]. The models could enhance not only the top forward-backward asymmetry at Tevatron, but also the top charge asymmetry at LHC, without too large same-sign top pair production rates. We identify parameter spaces for the U(1)^\prime gauge boson and (pseudo)scalar Higgs bosons where all the experimental data could be accommodated, including the case with abo…
A sizeable charge asymmetry in top quark pair production has been observed at the Tevatron. The experimental results seem to exceed systematically the Standard Model theory predictions by a significant amount and have triggered a large number of suggestions for 'new physics'. The effect is also visible at the LHC, and preliminary results have already been presented by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations. In this talk, we review the present status of the theoretical predictions, and their comparison with the experimental measurements.
Predictions from the GR@PPA event generator concerning the transverse-momentum ($p_{T}$) spectrum of $Z$ bosons are compared with recent measurements at LHC and Tevatron. The simulation results are in reasonable agreement with the measurements, although marginal discrepancies are observed in high-$p_{T}$ regions. The principal agreements imply that the leading-order simulation with a primitive parton shower based on the leading-logarithmic approximation still provides a reasonable description of the transverse motion of the hard-interaction system in hadron collisions, without the need to intr…
We propose a charged, electrically neutral, and flavour changing Z' model to conciliate the apparent disagreement between the important excess found in the top-antitop Tevatron forward-backward asymmetry and the null -compatible with negative- results found in the LHC charge asymmetry. We show that this model contributes positively to the forward-backward asymmetry, whereas naturally a new cancellation is turned on at the LHC, yielding a null, or even negative, charge asymmetry. We found the region in parameter space that is simultaneously allowed by the stringent Tevatron and LHC observables.…
We calculate the total cross section for single charged slepton production in association with a top quark at hadron colliders in the baryon triality (B$_3$) supersymmetric model. We compute event rates for the Tevatron and LHC. We study the signatures for different supersymmetric scenarios including neutralino and stau LSPs. We perform a detailed analysis with basic cuts for the B$_3$ operator $\lam^\prime_{231}$ using Monte Carlo simulations to show that the signal can be distinguished from the background at the LHC. In particular we employ the resulting lepton charge asymmetry.
MSSM Higgs bosons are the most promising way to discover Higgs physics at hadronic colliders since their cross section is enhanced compared to that of the Standard Model. We will present theoretical predictions for their production and decay in the Higgs$\to ττ$ channel at the Tevatron and the LHC, focusing on the theoretical uncertainties that affect them. The inferred SUSY Higgs bounds on the $[\tan β; M_A]$ plane and the impact of these uncertainties will also be discussed.
If all the supersymmetry particles (sparticles) except a light Higgs boson are too heavy to be directly produced at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and Tevatron, a possible way to reveal evidence for supersymmetry is through their virtual effects in other processes. We examine such supersymmetric QCD effects in bottom pair production associated with a light Higgs boson at the LHC and Tevatron. We find that if the relevant sparticles (gluinos and squarks) are well above the TeV scale, too heavy to be directly produced, they can still have sizable virtual effects in this process. For large $\tan…
In this paper, we study the observability of an invisible Higgs boson at Fermilab Tevatron and CERN LHC through the production channel $ q \bar{q} \to Z H \to \ell^+\ell^-+ \ptmiss $, where $\ptmiss$ is reconstructed from the $\ell^+\ell^-$ with $\ell=e$ or $μ$. A new strategy is proposed to eliminate the largest irreducible background, namely $ q \bar{q} \to Z(\to \ell^+\ell^-) Z(\to ν\barν)$. This strategy utilizes the precise measurements of $ q \bar{q} \to Z(\to \ell^+\ell^-) Z(\to \ell^+\ell^-)$. For $m_H=120$ GeV and with luminosity $30 fb^{-1}$ at Tevatron, a $5σ$ observation of the inv…
We use an effective operator framework to study the contributions to the Tevatron t tbar asymmetry from arbitrary vector bosons and scalars, and compare with their effect on the t tbar tail at LHC. Our study shows, for example, that models reproducing the t tbar asymmetry by exchange of Z' and W' bosons or colour-triplet scalars lead to a large enhancement in the t tbar tail at LHC. This fact can be used to exclude these models as the sole explanation for the asymmetry, using the data already collected by CMS and ATLAS. Our analysis is model independent in the sense that we scan over all possi…
The ttbar asymmetry measured at the Tevatron continues to disagree with Standard Model predictions at the 3 sigma level. We update the status of the phenomenological light axigluon model in explaining the asymmetry data, taking into account constraints from the charge asymmetry at the LHC and the ttbar cross section at both Tevatron and LHC. We find that an axigluon with a mass between 100 and 400 GeV provides an excellent fit to the data. Recent searches by ATLAS and CMS for pair production of heavy resonances which decay to dijets rule out axigluons with large branching fractions to dijets. …
The NLO QCD corrections to Upsilon production via S-wave color-octet states Upsilon(^1S_0^8,^3S_1^8) at the Tevatron and LHC is calculated. The K factors of total cross section (ratio of NLO to LO) are 1.313 and 1.379 for Upsilon(^1S_0^8) and Upsilon(^3S_1^8) at the Tevatron, while at the LHC they are 1.044 and 1.182, respectively. By fitting the experimental data from the D0, the matrix elements for S-wave color-octet states are obtained. And new predictions for Upsilon production are presented. The prediction for the polarization of inclusive Upsilon contains large uncertainty rising from th…
We briefly review recent results which we have obtained in the study of J/psi-pair production at the Tevatron and the LHC. We claim that the existing data set from CMS and D0 point at a significant double-parton-scattering contribution with an effective cross section smaller than that for jet-related observables. We have also derived simple relations involving feed-down fractions from excited states which can help in disentangling the single from the double scatterings.
Recently Tevatron released their measurements on invariant mass spectrum of electron/positron, as well as the di-jet arising from WW+WZ production with one W leptonically decay. Though the statistics is not significant, there are two bumps around 240 GeV and 120-160 GeV respectively. We proposed that the two bumps correspond to the extra light gauge bosons $Z^\prime$ and $W^\prime$, which couple with quarks with the deci-weak strength. In this brief report, we also simulated di-jet invariant mass distribution at the current running LHC.
Single-jet production with missing transverse momentum is one of the most promising discovery channels for new physics at the LHC. In the Standard Model, Z + jet production with a Z-boson decay into neutrinos leads to this monojet signature. To improve the corresponding Standard Model predictions, we present the calculation of the full next-to-leading-order (NLO) electroweak corrections and a recalculation of the NLO QCD corrections to monojet production at the Tevatron and the LHC. We discuss the phenomenological impact on the total cross sections as well as on relevant differential distribut…
We carry out a comprehensive analysis of models for top A_{FB} at CDF in light of new top data arriving from the LHC. We begin with a careful Tevatron analysis, considering in general which sets of effective vertices give rise to a large forward-backward asymmetry while suppressing the contribution to the total t tbar cross-section. We show on general grounds that scalar models struggle to produce sufficient asymmetries consistent with CDF observations, while vector models can produce a large asymmetry with a less significant tension in the total cross-section and $t\bar{t}$ invariant mass dis…
The parton distribution functions (PDFs) are a non-negotiable input to almost all theory predictions at hadron colliders. In this talk, I introduce PDF determination by global analysis and discuss selected topics concerning recent relevant data from HERA and the Tevatron, before giving some prospects for the LHC. The combination of H1 and ZEUS cross sections reduces uncertainties and will be an important input to future global PDF analyses. The theoretical description of the heavy-quark contribution to structure functions at HERA has a significant influence on predictions at the LHC. New W and…
We present a complete evaluation for $\jpsi(\psip)$ prompt production at the Tevatron and LHC at next-to-leading order in nonrelativistic QCD, including color-singlet, color-octet, and higher charmonia feeddown contributions. The short-distance coefficients of $\pj$ at next-to-leading order are found to be larger than leading order by more than an order of magnitude but with a minus sign at high transverse momentum $p_T$. Two new linear combinations of color-octet matrix elements are obtained from the CDF data, and used to predict $\jpsi$ production at the LHC, which agrees with the CMS data. …
We examine the possibility that a new strong interaction is accessible to the Tevatron and the LHC. In an effective theory approach, we consider a scenario with a new color-octet interaction with strong couplings to the top quark, as well as the presence of a strongly coupled fourth-generation which could be responsible for electroweak symmetry breaking. We apply several constraints, including the ones from flavor physics. We study the phenomenology of the resulting parameter space at the Tevatron, focusing on the the forward-backward asymmetry in top pair production, as well as in the product…
Based on nonrelativistic QCD factorization scheme, we present the first complete next-to-leading order study on the yield and polarization of Upsilon(1S,2S,3S) hadroproduction. By using the color-octet long-distance matrix elements obtained from fits of the experimental measurements on Upsilon yield and polarization at the Tevatron and LHC, our results can explain the measurements on the yield very well, and for the polarizations of Upsilon(1S,2S,3S), they are in (good, good, bad) agreement with recent CMS measurement, but still have some distance from the CDF measurement.
An extra $U(1)'$ model with $Z'$ coupled only to the right-handed (RH) up-type quarks has been one of the popular models for the Tevatron top forward-backward asymmetry (FBA), and has been excluded by the same-sign top-pair productions at the LHC. However, the original $Z'$ model is not physical, since the up-type quarks are massless including the top quark. This disaster can be evaded if the Higgs sector is extended by including new Higgs doublets with nonzero $U(1)'$ charges. We find that some parameter regions could achieve not only the top FBA at the Tevatron, but also the charge asymmetry…
We update our earlier results regarding detection of $gg\to b\anti b h\to 4b$ ($h=h^0,H^0,A^0$) to incorporate the very high $b$-tagging efficiencies and purities that are now anticipated at the LHC. New results for the Tev$^*$ are given, and indicate substantial potential for these modes. The complementarity of the $H^0\to h^0h^0 \to 4b$ final state mode is illustrated for the LHC. The latest radiative corrections to the Higgs sector are incorporated.
How light can the stop be given current experimental constraints? Can it still be lighter than the top? In this paper, we study this and related questions in the context of gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking, where a stop NLSP decays into a W, b and gravitino. Focusing on the case of prompt decays, we simulate several existing Tevatron and LHC analyses that would be sensitive to this scenario, and find that they allow the stop to be as light as 150 GeV, mostly due to the large top production background. With more data, the existing LHC analyses will be able to push the limit up to at least …
The Tevatron experiments CDF and DO are close to making definitive statements about the technicolor discovery mode rho_T -> W pi_T for M(rho_T) <~ 230 GeV and M(pi_T) <~ 125 GeV. We propose new incisive tests for this mode and searches for others that may be feasible at the Tevatron and certainly are at the LHC. The other searches include two long discussed, namely, omega_T -> gamma pi_T and l+l-, and a new one -- for the I^G J^{PC} = 1^- 1^{++} partner, a_T, of the rho_T. Adopting the argument that the technicolor contribution to S is reduced if M(a_T) is near M(rho_T), we enumerate important…
The measurement of forward-backward asymmetry in the top and anti-top quark ($t \bar{t}$) production has been recently reconfirmed by the CDF Collaboration and shows a more than $3σ$ deviation from the Standard Model(SM) prediction in the large $t \bar{t}$ invariant mass region. Models with new W$^{\prime}$ or Z$^{\prime}$ bosons have been invoked to explain this deviation. In the context of these models we perform a $χ^2$ analysis with all the available experimental numbers in different $ΔY$ and $M_{t \bar{t}}$ bins. We show that for the $Z^{\prime}$ model the region of parameter space which …
We use the POMWIG Monte Carlo generator to predict the cross-sections for double diffractive higgs and di-photon production at the Tevatron and LHC. We find that the higgs production cross-section is too small to be observable at Tevatron energies, and even at the LHC observation would be difficult. Double diffractive di-photon production, however, should be observable within one year of Tevatron Run II.
We respond to some criticism questioning the validity of the current Standard Model Higgs exclusion limits at the Tevatron, due to the significant dependence of the dominant production cross section from gluon-gluon fusion on the choice of parton distribution functions (PDFs) and the strong coupling (alpha_S). We demonstrate the ability of the Tevatron jet data to discriminate between different high-x gluon distributions, performing a detailed quantitative comparison to show that fits not explicitly including these data fail to give a good description. In this context we emphasise the importan…
The forward-backward asymmetry $A_{FB}^{t\bar t}$ in top quark production at the Tevatron has been observed to be anomalously large by both CDF and D0. It has been suggested that a model with a $W'$ coupling to $td$ and $ub$ might explain this anomaly, and other anomalies in $B$ mesons. Single-top-quark production in this model is large, and arguably in conflict with Tevatron measurements. However the model might still be viable if $A_{FB}^{t\bar t}$ is somewhat smaller than its current measured central value. We show that even with smaller couplings, the model can be discovered (or strongly e…
The possibility of production of new spin-1 chiral particles at the hadron colliders the Tevatron and the LHC is considered. Their coupling constants to ordinary fermions can be fixed using the hypothesis about a dynamical generation of kinetic terms for the bosons and assuming an universality of interactions of these particles. The masses of the chiral particles can be predicted from experimental data of precise low-energy experiments, which already indicate indirectly the existence of such new particles. Quantitative estimations of the production cross-sections of the chiral particles are ma…
This contribution contains a brief review of several scenarios for physics beyond the Standard Model at the energy scales accessible to experiments at the Tevatron and the LHC, focusing on their experimental signatures.
We discuss the different models of central diffractive production of the Higgs boson at the Tevatron and the LHC. We also describe how the models can be tested using diffractive production data being taken at the Tevatron. We finally discuss the advantages of using diffractive events to reconstruct the mass of the Higgs boson especially at the LHC.
We quantify the rate and the signal-to-background ratio for Higgs --> b anti-b detection in double-diffractive events at the Tevatron and the LHC. The signal is predicted to be very small at the Tevatron, but observable at the LHC. We show that the double-diffractive dijet production may serve as a unique gluon factory. This process can be used also as a Pomeron-Pomeron luminosity monitor.
We study the polarization observables of J/psi hadroproduction at next-to-leading order within the factorization formalism of nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics. We complete the present knowledge of the relativistic corrections by also providing the contribution due to the intermediate ^3P_J^{[8]} color-octet states at this order, which turns out to be quite significant. Exploiting the color-octet long-distance matrix elements previously extracted through a global fit to experimental data of unpolarized J/psi production, we provide theoretical predictions in the helicity and Collins-Soper …
We provide the most up-to-date predictions for the top-quark charge asymmetry A_C at the LHC with a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV. Our result is accurate at the NNLO level in the strong interactions and at the complete-NLO level in both the strong and electroweak interactions. We present results for the inclusive A_C, several differential asymmetries as well as the P_{T,tt} and M_{tt} cumulative asymmetries. Similarly to the Tevatron forward-backward asymmetry A_FB, both NNLO QCD and NLO EW corrections to A_C are found to be significant. The inclusion of higher-order corrections reduces the r…
In string realizations of the Randall-Sundrum scenario, the higher-spin Regge excitations of Standard Model states localized near the IR brane are warped down to close to the TeV scale. We argue that, as a consequence of the localization properties of Randall-Sundrum models of flavour, the lightest such resonance is the spin-3/2 excitation of the right-handed top quark over a significant region of parameter space. A mild accidental cancellation allows this resonance to be as light or lighter than the Kaluza-Klein excitations of the Standard Model states. We consider from a bottom-up effective …
Top quarks are produced at the Tevatron proton-antiproton collider at Fermilab and at the Large Hadron (proton-proton) Collider at CERN in two ways: as quark-antiquark pairs, and singly. For each mode, the cross sections and future experimental yields are presented. I then discuss some precision measurements that can be made using the anticipated large data sets. These measurements include the top quark mass, width and branching fractions, the electroweak Wtb coupling, and the CKM matrix element Vtb. Detailed studies of the top quark polarization and gluon radiation will also be possible, in a…
We use a Monte Carlo implementation of recently developped models of inclusive and exclusive diffractive $W$, top, Higgs and stop productions to assess the sensitivity of the LHC experiments. We also discuss how the Tevatron experiments could test the models and measure the gluon density in the pomeron, which is needed to make precise predictions at the LHC.
I review the status of theoretical calculations relevant for electroweak physics at the Tevatron and LHC and discuss future directions. I also give a brief overview of current electroweak data and discuss future expectations.
We examine the implications of the recent CDF measurement of the top-quark forward-backward asymmetry, focusing on a scenario with a new color octet vector boson at 1-3 TeV. We study several models, as well as a general effective field theory, and determine the parameter space which provides the best simultaneous fit to the CDF asymmetry, the Tevatron top pair production cross section, and the exclusion regions from LHC dijet resonance and contact interaction searches. Flavor constraints on these models are more subtle and less severe than the literature indicates. We find a large region of al…
The anomalous forward-backward asymmetry (A_FB) in t tbar production at the Tevatron is in apparent contradiction with the t tbar charge asymmetry (A_C) measurements at the LHC, which agree well with the standard model predictions. We argue that associated production of a state with [u tbar] flavor quantum numbers can lead to a sizable negative contribution to A_C. Exchange of such a resonance in the t-channel would lead to positive contributions to A_FB and A_C, as has been extensively discussed in the literature. Given the additional negative A_C contribution, both the Tevatron and LHC data …
We use a Monte Carlo implementation of recently developped models of exclusive diffractive $W$, top, Higgs and stop productions to assess the sensitivity of the LHC experiments.
Aspects of a flavor-changing W' model with right-handed couplings are addressed in this paper in light of Tevatron and LHC data. Our fit to the Tevatron top-quark forward-backward asymmetry and the tt_bar inclusive cross section includes higher-order loop effects in the effective interaction. The higher order corrections change the best fit value of the W' effective coupling strength as a function of the W' mass. The consistency of the model is checked against the shape of the tt_bar invariant mass distribution. We use these updated W' parameters to compute the expected contributions from W't …
In this paper we discuss how to extract information about physics beyond the Standard Model (SM) from searches for a light SM Higgs at Tevatron Run II and CERN LHC. We demonstrate that new (pseudo)scalar states predicted in both supersymmetric and dynamical models can have enhanced visibility in standard Higgs search channels, making them potentially discoverable at Tevatron Run II and CERN LHC. We discuss the likely sizes of the enhancements in the various search channels for each model and identify the model features having the largest influence on the degree of enhancement. We compare the k…
Predictions for angular distributions of top quark decay products that are sensitive to t tbar spin correlations are presented at next-to-leading order in alpha_s for the Tevatron and the LHC.
In this short review, we describe some of the results on diffraction from the Tevatron and give some prospects for the LHC. In particular, we discuss the search for exclusive events at the Tevatron and their importance for the LHC program/ We finish by presenting the project of installing forward detectors in the ATLAS collaboration at 220 and 420 m.
