The total lowest-order electromagnetic radiative corrections to the observables in Moller scattering of longitudinally polarized electrons have been calculated. The final expressions obtained by the covariant method for the infrared divergency cancellation are free from any unphysical cut-off parameters. Since the calculation is carried out within the ultrarelativistic approximation our result has a compact form that is convenient for computing. Basing on these expressions the FORTRAN code MERA has been developed. Using this code the detailed numerical analysis performed under SLAC (E-158) and…
We present the contributions from all types of one-loop corrections to the scattering amplitude for the pair production of polarized charginos or neutralinos from polarized electron-positron annihilation. The contributions are classified in terms of ``prototypes'' distinguished by the number of particles inside the loops and their spins. The results are quoted in terms of the Veltman-Passarino functions in terms of general couplings and internal masses. The results can therefore be applied to any supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model or indeed to any polarized fermion pair production …

A leading order QCD analysis of spin asymmetries in polarized deep inelastic lepton nucleon scattering is presented within the framework of the radiative parton model. Two resulting sets of plausible leading order spin dependent parton distributions are presented, respecting the fundamental positivity constraints down to the low resolution scale $Q^2=μ_{LO}^2=0.23$ GeV$^2$. The $Q^2$ dependence of the spin asymmetries $A_1^{p,n,d}(x,Q^2)$ is investigated in the range $1 \leq Q^2 \leq 20$ GeV$^2$ and shown to be non-negligible for $x$-values relevant for the analysis of present data and possibl…

The on-shell renormalization scheme in t'Hooft-Feynman gauge is applied. The numerical analysis is carried out under conditions of modern particle physics experiments.Particular emphasis is laid on contributions usually ignored at RC procedure --- electroweak corrections to electromagnetic asymmetry and RC to hadronic current. Experiment E158 at SLAC can measure an azimuthal asymmetry in single-spin, transversely polarized Moller scattering, e^{-\uparrow} e^- -> e^- e^-, which arises from a QED rescattering phase. We recompute the leading-order (one-loop) asymmetry, confirming previous results, and calculate the leading logarithmic QED corrections due to initial-state radiation from the beam and target electrons, and due to final-state radiation. The size of these radiative corrections is quite sensitive to experimental details, such as the acceptance in energy and in polar angle of the scattered electron. For E158,…
The polarization effects in the one-meson radiative decay of the polarized $τ$ lepton, $τ^-\toπ^-γν_τ$, are investigated. The inner bremsstrahlung and structural amplitudes are taken into account. The asymmetry of the differential decay width caused by the $τ$ lepton polarization and the Stokes parameters of the emitted photon itself, are calculated depending on the polarization of the decaying $τ$ lepton. The numerical estimation of these physical quantities was done for arbitrary direction of the $τ$ lepton polarization 3-vector in the rest frame. The vector and axial-vector form factors des…
We obtain a model-independent expression for the complete Dalitz plot of semileptonic decays of polarized hyperons, which includes both the three-body and the four-body regions. We calculate radiative corrections to order alpha, neglecting terms of order alpha q/(pi M_1), where q is the four-momentum transfer and M_1 is the mass of the decaying hyperon. Our results exhibit explicitly the correlation between the emitted hyperon three-momentum and the spin of the decaying hyperon. This allows us to obtain the corresponding radiative corrections to the integrated emitted hyperon spin-asymmetry co…
We discuss a connection between axial anomaly and polarized radiative processes. By comparison with the corresponding unpolarized cases, we consider some physical outputs for the $π^+$ and $Z^0$ polarized radiative decays. We analyse in detail the pattern of mass singularity cancellation.
We obtain a model-independent expression for the Dalitz plot of semileptonic decays of polarized hyperons including radiative corrections to order alpha and neglecting terms of order (alpha q)/(pi M_1), where q is the four-momentum transfer and M_1 is the mass of the decaying hyperon. We specialize our results to exhibit the correlation between the charged-lepton momentum and the spin of the decaying hyperon. We present results for the three-body region of the Dalitz plot and for the complete Dalitz plot (which includes the four-body region). From these results we also obtain the corresponding…
The cross section for deep inelastic lepton-nucleon scattering with arbitrary polarized scattering fermions is calculated within the electroweak Standard Model and non-minimal gauge models with additional neutral boson. The Lorentz-invariant formulas for cross section and all types of electroweak asymmetries, polarized, charge-polarized, charged, including the first-order electroweak radiative correction are obtained. We present a detailed numerical discussion of the radiative corrections to different kinds of electroweak asymmetries. The difference in the results obtained in frame of minimal …
We have calculated the radiative corrections to the Dalitz plot of baryon semileptonic decays with angular correlation between polarized emitted baryons and charged leptons. This work covers both charged and neutral decaying baryons and is restricted to the so-called three-body region of the Dalitz plot. Also it is specialized at the center-of-mass frame of the emitted baryon. We have considered terms up to order (alpha/pi)(q/M_1)^0, where q is the momentum-transfer and M_1 is the mass of the decaying baryon, and neglected terms of order (alpha/pi)(q/M_1)^n$ for n >= 1. The expressions display…
One loop electroweak radiative corrections to left-right parity violating Møller scattering ($e^-e^-\to e^-e^-$) asymmetries are presented. They reduce the standard model (tree level) prediction by 40$\pm 3$ \% where the main shift and uncertainty stem from hadronic vacuum polarization loops. A similar reduction also occurs for the electron-electron atomic parity violating interaction. That effect can be attributed to an increase of $\sin^2θ_W(q^2)$ by $3\%$ in running from $q^2=m_Z^2$ to 0. The sensitivity of the asymmetry to ``new physics'' is also discussed.
The polarization effects in the one-meson radiative decay of the polarized $τ$ lepton, $τ^-\toπ^-γν_τ$, have been investigated. We present the analytical results for the $t-$distribution of the partial differential widths, which responsible for different polarization phenomena, in the case of the photon energy cut: $ω>X$. These quantities depend on the invariant mass squared $t$ of the pseudoscalar meson and photon and the photon energy cut $X.$ Our analytical formulae, in terms of the weak vector and axial-vector form factors, describing the structure-dependent part of the decay amplitude, ar…
Using the helicity formalism, we calculate the combined angular distribution function of the two gamma photons ($γ_1$ and $γ_2$) and the electron ($e^-$) in the triple cascade process $\bar{p}p\rightarrow{}^3D_3\rightarrow{}^3P_2+γ_1\rightarrow(ψ+γ_2) +γ_1 \rightarrow (e^- + e^+) +γ_2 +γ_1$, when $\bar{p}$ and $p$ are arbitrarily polarized. We also derive six different partially integrated angular distribution functions which give the angular distributions of one or two particles in the final state. Our results show that by measuring the two-particle angular distribution of $γ_1$ and $γ_2$ and…
A next-to-leading order QCD analysis of spin asymmetries and structure functions in polarized deep inelastic lepton nucleon scattering is presented within the framework of the radiative parton model. A consistent NLO formulation of the $Q^2$-evolution of polarized parton distributions yields two sets of plausible NLO spin dependent parton distributions in the conventional $\overline{\rm{MS}}$ factorization scheme. They respect the fundamental positivity constraints down to the low resolution scale $Q^2=μ^2_{NLO}=0.34\,{\rm{GeV}}^2$. The $Q^2$-dependence of the spin asymmetries $A_1^{p,n,d}(x,Q…
Parity-violating Moller scattering measurements are a powerful probe of new physics effects, and the upcoming high-precision experiments will require a new level of accuracy for electroweak radiative corrections (EWC). First, we perform the updated calculations of one-loop EWC for Moller scattering asymmetry using two different approaches: semi-automatic, precise, with FeynArts and FormCalc as base languages, and "by hand", with reasonable approximations. In addition, we provide a tuned comparison between the one-loop results obtained in two different renormalization schemes: on-shell and cons…
We determine the O(α_s) radiative corrections to polarized top quark pair production in e+ e- -annihilations with a specified gluon energy cut. We write down fully analytical results for the unpolarized and polarized O(α_s) cross sections e+ e- -> tbar t (G) and e+ e- -> tbar t(pol.) (G) including their polar orientation dependence relative to the beam direction. In the soft gluon limit we recover the usual factorizing form known from the soft gluon approximation. In the limit when the gluon energy cut takes its maximum value we recover the totally inclusive unpolarized and polarized cross sec…
Various distributions over the angles of the emitted photon, especially over the azimuthal angle, in the one-meson radiative decay of the polarized $τ$ lepton, $τ^-\toπ^-γν_τ$, have been investigated. In connection with this, the photon phase space is discussed in more detail since in the case of the polarized $τ$ lepton it is not trivial. The decay matrix element contains both the inner bremsstrahlung and the resonance (structural) contributions. The azimuthal dependence of some observables have been calculated. They are the asymmetry of the differential decay width caused by the $τ$ lepton p…
Two computer codes relevant for the description of deep inelastic scattering off polarized targets are discussed. The code $μ$ela deals with radiative corrections to elastic $μe$ scattering, one method applied for muon beam polarimetry. The code HECTOR allows to calculate both the radiative corrections for unpolarized and polarized deep inelastic scattering, including higher order QED corrections.
The main features of the electron structure function method for calculations of the higher order QED radiative effects to polarized deep-inelastic ep-scattering are presented. A new FORTRAN code ESFRAD based on this method was developed. A detailed quantitative comparison between the results of ESFRAD and other methods implemented in the codes POLRAD and RADGEN for calculation of the higher order radiative corrections is performed.
