Within the scheme of quantum rate equations, we investigate the spin-resolved transport through a double quantum dot system with four ferromagnetic terminals. It is found that the injection efficiency of spin-polarized electrons can be significantly improved compared with single dot case. When the magnetization in one of four ferromagnetic terminals is antiparallel with the other three, the polarization rate of the current through one dot can be greatly enhanced, accompanied by the drastic decrease of the current polarization rate through the other one. The mechanism is the exchange interaction between electrons in the two quantum dots, which can be a promising candidate for the improvement of the spin injection efficiency.
We use the Aharonov-Bohm effect in a four-terminal ring based on a Ga[Al]As heterostructure for the measurement of the relative transmission phase. In each of the two interfering paths we induce a quantum dot. The number of electrons in the two dots can be controlled independently. The transmission phase is measured as electrons are added to or taken away from the individual quantum dots.
Electronic transport through a triple-quantum-dot ring with three terminals is theoretically studied. By introducing local Rashba spin-orbit interaction on an individual quantum dot, we find that the spin bias in one terminal drives apparent charge currents in the other terminals, accompanied by the similar amplitude and opposite directions of them. Meanwhile, it shows that the characteristics of the spin currents induced by the spin bias are notable. When a magnetic flux is applied through this ring, we see its nontrivial role in the manipulation of the charge and spin currents. With the obta…
In quantum dot circuits, screening electron clouds in strongly-coupled leads will hybridize with the states of the artificial atom. Using a three-terminal geometry, we directly probe the atomic structure of a quantum dot with Kondo coupling. Our measurements reveal that this hybrid system behaves as a non-linear entity with orbital degeneracy. Geometric distortion reduces the symmetry, lowers the energy, and lifts the degeneracy--the Jahn-Teller effect.
Three terminal tunnelling experiments on quantum dots in the Coulomb blockade regime allow a quantitative determination of the coupling strength of individual quantum states to the leads. Exploiting this insight we have observed independent fluctuations of the coupling strengths as a function of electron number and magnetic field due to changes in the shape of the wave function in the dot. Such a detailed understanding and control of the dot-lead coupling can be extended to more complex systems such as coupled dots, and is essential for building functional quantum electronic systems.
We consider two modifications of a recently proposed three-terminal quantum dot heat engine. First, we investigate the necessity of the thermalization assumption, namely that electrons are always thermalized by inelastic processes when traveling across the cavity where the heat is supplied. Second, we analyze various arrangements of tunneling-coupled quantum dots in order to implement a transmission function that is superior to the Lorentzian transmission function of a single quantum dot. We show that the maximum power of the heat engine can be improved by about a factor of two, even for a sma…
We study an interacting single-level quantum dot weakly coupled to three electrodes. When two electrodes are biased by voltages with opposite polarities, while keeping the third lead (the stem) grounded, the current through the stem is a measure of electron-hole asymmetry of the dot. In this setup we calculate the stem current for both metallic and ferromagnetic (collinearly polarized) leads and discuss how the three-terminal device gives additional information compared to the usual two-terminal setup. We calculate both the sequential and cotunneling contribution for the currents. For the latt…
We consider the time-dependent electron transport through a quantum dot connected to multiple leads in the presence of the additional over-dot (bridge) tunnelling channels by using the evolution operator technique. Each terminal and quantum dot are disturbed by an external oscillating field resulting in a time-dependence of the corresponding energy levels. The final analytical expressions for the currents flowing in the system are given assuming the wide-band limit approximation. We investigate also the transient-current characteristics in the case of the rectangular-pulse modulations imposed …
We study current fluctuations in an interacting three-terminal quantum dot with ferromagnetic leads. For appropriately polarized contacts, the transport through the dot is governed by a novel dynamical spin blockade, i.e., a spin-dependent bunching of tunneling events not present in the paramagnetic case. This leads for instance to positive zero-frequency cross-correlations of the currents in the output leads even in the absence of spin accumulation on the dot. We include the influence of spin-flip scattering and identify favorable conditions for the experimental observation of this effect wit…
We report measurements of multi-path transport through a triple quantum dot (TQD) in the few-electron regime using a GaAs three-terminal device with a separate lead attached to each dot. When two paths reside inside the transport window and are simultaneously spin-blockaded, the leak currents through both paths are significantly enhanced. We suggest that the transport processes in the two paths cooperate to lift the spin blockade. Fine structures in transport spectra indicate that different kinds of cooperative mechanisms are involved, depending on the details of the three-electron spin states…
Measurement of the transmission phase through a quantum dot (QD) embedded in an arm of a two-terminal Aharonov-Bohm (AB) interferometer is inhibited by phase symmetry, i.e. the property that the linear response conductance of a two-terminal device is an even function of magnetic field. It is demonstrated that in a setup consisting of an interferometer with a QD in each of its arms, with one of the QDs capacitively coupled to a nearby quantum point contact (QPC), phase symmetry is broken when a finite voltage bias is applied to the QPC. The transmission phase via the uncoupled QD can then be de…
We investigate transport in a three-terminal graphene quantum dot. All nine elements of the conductance matrix have been independently measured. In the Coulomb blockade regime accurate measurements of individual conductance resonances reveal slightly different resonance energies depending on which pair of leads is used for probing. Rapid changes in the tunneling coupling between the leads and the dot due to localized states in the constrictions has been excluded by tuning the difference in resonance energies using in-plane gates which couple preferentially to individual constrictions. The inte…
Tunnel-injection lasers promise advantages in modulation bandwidth and temperature stability in comparison to conventional laser designs. In this paper, we present results of a microscopic theory for laser properties of tunnel-injection devices and a comparison to a conventional quantum-dot laser structure. In general, the modulation bandwidth of semiconductor lasers is affected by the steady-state occupations of electrons and holes via the presence of spectral hole burning. For tunnel-injection lasers with InGaAs quantum dot emitting at the telecom wavelength of 1,55$μ$m, we demonstrate that …
Finite bias spectroscopy measurements of a three-terminal graphene quantum dot are presented. Numerous lines of enhanced differential conductance are observed outside the Coulomb diamonds. In the single-level transport regime such lines are often associated with transport through excited states. Here the system is in the multi-level transport regime. We argue that the lines are most likely a result of strong coupling to only a few of the excited states available in the bias window. We also discuss the option that fluctuations of the density of states in the leads are fully or partly responsibl…
We investigate the Josephson effect in one triple-terminal junction with embedded parallel-coupled double quantum dots. It is found that the inter-superconductor supercurrent has opportunities to oscillate in $4π$ period, with the adjustment of the phase differences among the superconductors. What is notable is that such a result is robust and independent of fermion parities, intradot Coulomb strength, and the dot-superconductor coupling manner. By introducing the concept of spinful many-particle Majorana modes, we present the analytical definition of the Majorana operator via superposing elec…
In this work, we show that in a four-quantum-dot ring, via introducing a local Rashba spin-orbit interaction the spin bias in the transverse terminals can be detected by observing the charge currents in the longitudinal probes. It is found that due to the Rashba interaction, the quantum interference in this system becomes spin-dependent and the opposite-spin currents induced by the spin bias can present different magnitudes, so charge currents emerge. Besides, the charge currents rely on both the magnitude and spin polarization direction of the spin bias. It is believed that this method provid…
We have studied the electron transport through a quantum dot coupled to three leads in the presence of external microwave fields supplied to different parts of the considered mesoscopic system. Additionally, we introduced a possible nonresonant tunneling channels between leads. The quantum dot charge and currents were determined in terms of the appropriate evolution operator matrix elements and under the wide band limit the analytical formulas for time-averaged currents and differential conductance were obtained. We have also examined the response of the considered system on the rectangular-pu…
In mesoscopic systems with spin-orbit coupling, spin-injection into quantum dots at zero magnetic field is expected under a wide range of conditions. However, up to now, a viable approach for experimentally identifying such injection has been lacking. We show that electron spin injection into a spin-blockaded double quantum dot is dramatically manifested in the breaking of magnetic- field-inversion symmetry of nuclear polarization instabilities. Over a wide range of parameters, the asymmetry between positive and negative instability fields is extremely sensitive to the injected electron spin p…
We propose a scheme of multilayer thermoelectric engine where {\em one} electric current is coupled to {\em two} temperature gradients in three-terminal geometry. This is realized by resonant tunneling through quantum dots embedded in two thermal and electrical resisting polymer matrix layers between highly conducting semiconductor layers. There are two thermoelectric effects, one of which is pertaining to inelastic transport processes (if energies of quantum dots in the two layers are different) while the other exists also for elastic transport processes. {These two correspond to the transver…
Rectification of thermal fluctuations in mesoscopic conductors is the key idea of today's attempts to build nanoscale thermoelectric energy harvesters in order to convert heat into a useful electric power. So far, most concepts make use of the Seebeck effect in a two-terminal geometry where heat and charge are both carried by the same particles. Here, we experimentally demonstrate the working principle of a new kind of energy harvester, proposed recently using two capacitively coupled quantum dots. We show that due to its novel three-terminal design which spatially separates the heat reservoir…
We study three-terminal linear and nonlinear transport through an Aharonov-Bohm interferometer containing a double quantum dot using the nonequilibrium Green's function method. Under the condition that one of the three terminals is a voltage probe, we show that the linear conductance is symmetric with respect to the magnetic field (phase symmetry). However, in the nonlinear transport regime, the phase symmetry is broken. Unlike two-terminal transport, the phase symmetry is broken even in noninteracting electron systems. Based on the lowest-order nonlinear conductance coefficient with respect t…
We study the injection mechanism of a single electron from a static quantum dot into a moving quantum dot created in a long depleted channel with surface acoustic waves (SAWs). We demonstrate that such a process is characterized by an activation law with a threshold that depends on the SAW amplitude and the dot-channel potential gradient. By increasing sufficiently the SAW modulation amplitude, we can reach a regime where the transfer is unitary and potentially adiabatic. This study points at the relevant regime to use moving dots in quantum information protocols.
We examine transport and microwave properties of two coupled quantum dots taken in parallel connection to the common left lead and connected to separate leads at their right side. In addition, the area between the left lead and the double-dot structure is threaded by Aharonov-Bohm magnetic flux. We determine the energies and populations of double-dot levels on the microscopic basis taking into account the interdot Coulomb interaction and show that at large lead-to-lead bias the population inversion can be achieved. For the case of strong Coulomb repulsion, this inversion leads to level crossin…
We demonstrated that the spin injection/extraction efficiency is enhanced by an ultrathin Mg insertion layer (<= 2 nm) in Fe/Mg/MgO/n+-Si tunnel junctions. In diode-type vertical three-terminal devices fabricated on a Si substrate, we observed the narrower three-terminal Hanle (N-3TH) signals indicating true spin injection into Si, and estimated the spin polarization in Si to be 16% when the thickness of the Mg insertion layer is 1 nm, whereas no N-3TH signal was observed without Mg insertion. This means that the spin injection/extraction efficiency is enhanced by suppressing the formation of …
By applying a local Rashba spin-orbit interaction on an individual quantum dot of a four-terminal four-quantum-dot ring and introducing a finite bias between the longitudinal terminals, we theoretically investigate the charge and spin currents in the transverse terminals. It is found that when the quantum dot levels are separate from the chemical potentials of the transverse terminals, notable pure spin currents appear in the transverse terminals with the same amplitude and opposite polarization directions. Besides, the polarization directions of such pure spin currents can be inverted by alte…
Nanodevices consisting of a quantum dot tunnel coupled to one superconducting and two normal electrodes may serve as a source of entangled electrons. As a result of crossed Andreev reflection the Cooper pair of s-wave character may be split into two electrons and each of them goes into a distinct normal electrode, preserving entanglement. Efficiency of the process depends on the specific system and is tunable by electric means. Our calculations show that in the studied device this efficiency may attain values as large as $80 \%$.
We prepare a triple quantum dot with a separate contact lead to each dot to study Pauli spin blockade in the tunnel-coupled three dots in a row. We measure the tunneling current flowing between the center dot and either the left or right dot with the left and right leads as a common source and the center lead as a drain. In the biased stability diagram, we establish Pauli spin blockade in the respective neighboring dots, with features similarly obtained in double quantum dot systems. We further realize Pauli spin blockade with two different conditions by tuning the inter-dot coupling gates: st…
We study transport through a double quantum dot with interdot hopping $t$, intradot repulsion $U$ and interdot repulsion $U^{\prime}$, using the numerical renormalization group (NRG) method. At half-filling, the conductances in two-terminal series and four-terminal parallel configuration are calculated via two phase shifts for quasi-particles of double quantum dot connected to two noninteracting leads with hybridization strength $Γ$. For small values of $t/Γ$ and $U^{\prime}/U$, conductance in the two-terminal series configuration is suppressed to almost zero. In this region, plateau of conduc…
We investigate current fluctuations in a three-terminal quantum dot in the sequential tunneling regime. In the voltage-bias configuration chosen here, the circuit is operated like a beam splitter, i.e. one lead is used as an input and the other two as outputs. In the limit where a double occupancy of the dot is not possible, a super-Poissonian Fano factor of the current in the input lead and positive cross-correlations between the current fluctuations in the two output leads can be obtained, due to dynamical channel-blockade. When a single orbital of the dot transports current, this effect can…
We study theoretically phonon-assisted relaxation and tunnelling in a system composed of a quantum dot which is coupled to a quantum well. Within the kp method combined with the Löwdin elimination, we calculate the electron states. We calculate acoustic phonon-assisted relaxation rates between the states in the quantum well and in the quantum dot and study the resulting electron kinetics. We show that transition efficiency crucially depends on the system geometry. We show also that under some conditions, transition efficiency can decrease with the temperature.
Circularly polarized optical excitation is used to demonstrate the efficient injection of spin-polarized excitons to individual self-assembled CdSe quantum dots in ZnSe barrier. The exciton spin-transfer is studied by means of polarization-resolved single dot spectroscopy performed in magnetic field applied in Faraday configuration. Detailed analysis of the neutral exciton photoluminescence spectra reveals the presence of exciton spin relaxation during its lifetime in a quantum dot. This process is seen for both nonmagnetic dots and those containing single Mn$^{2+}$ ions. Taking this into acco…
Selective and large polarization of current injected into semiconductor (SC) is predicted in Ferromagnet (FM)/Quantum Dot (QD)/SC system by varying the gate voltage above the Kondo temperature. In addition, spin-dependent Kondo effect is also revealed below Kondo temperature. It is found that Kondo resonances for up spin state is suppressed with increasing of the polarization P of the FM lead. While the down one is enhanced. The Kondo peak for up spin is disappear at P=1.
Tunneling-injection structures are incorporated in semiconductor lasers in order to overcome the fundamental dynamical limitation due to hot carrier injection by providing a carrier transport path from a cold carrier reservoir. The tunneling process itself depends on band alignment between quantum-dot levels and the injector quantum well, especially as in these devices LO-phonon scattering is dominant. Quantum dots with their first excited state near the quantum well bottom profit most from tunnel coupling. As inhomogeneous broadening is omnipresent in quantum dot structures, this implies that…
We study the carrier injection into a single InGaAs/GaAs quantum dot regulated by a radio frequency surface acoustic wave. We find that the time of laser excitation during the acoustic cycle programs both the emission intensities and time of formation of neutral $(X^0)$ and negatively charged $(X^-)$ excitons. We identify underlying, characteristic formation pathways of both few-particle states in the time-domain experiments and show that both exciton species can be formed either with the optical pump or at later times by injection of single electrons and holes "surfing" the acoustic wave. All…
We study heat rectification through quantum dots in the Coulomb blockade regime using a master equation approach. We consider both cases of two-terminal and four-terminal devices. In the two-terminal configuration, we analyze the case of a single quantum dot with either a doubly-degenerate level or two non-degenerate levels. In the sequential tunneling regime we analyze the behaviour of heat currents and rectification as functions of the position of the energy levels and of the temperature bias. In particular, we derive an upper bound for rectification in the closed-circuit setup with the doub…
A three terminal nanoscale refrigeration concept based on a vibron-coupled quantum dot hybrid system coupled to two electronic reservoirs and a phonon bath is proposed and analyzed in detail. While investigating the non-trivial role of electron-phonon interactions, we show that, although they are well known to be detrimental from a general refrigeration perspective, can be engineered to favorably improve the trade-off between the cooling power (CP) and the coefficient-of-performance (COP). Furthermore, an additional improvement in the trade-off can be facilitated by applying a high electronic …
We image the micro-electroluminescence (EL) spectra of self-assembled InAs quantum dots (QDs) embedded in the intrinsic region of a GaAs p-i-n diode and demonstrate optical detection of resonant carrier injection into a single QD. Resonant tunneling of electrons and holes into the QDs at bias voltages below the flat-band condition leads to sharp EL lines characteristic of individual QDs, accompanied by a spatial fragmentation of the surface EL emission into small and discrete light- emitting areas, each with its own spectral fingerprint and Stark shift. We explain this behavior in terms of Cou…
We study the nonequilibrium spectral function of the single-impurity Anderson model connecting with multi-terminal leads. The full dependence on frequency and bias voltage of the nonequilibrium self-energy and spectral function is obtained analytically up to the second-order perturbation regarding the interaction strength $U$. High and low bias voltage properties are analyzed for a generic multi-terminal dot, showing a crossover from the Kondo resonance to the Coulomb peaks with increasing bias voltage. For a dot where the particle-hole symmetry is not present, we construct a current-preservin…
Multi-terminal multi-dot devices have been put forward as versatile and performant setups for thermoelectric energy harvesting at the nanoscale. With a technique that encompasses and overtakes several of the usual theoretical tools used in this context, we explore a three-terminal Coulomb-coupled-dot device for refrigeration purposes. The refrigerator is monitored by either a voltage or a thermal bias. This comparative study shows that heat driven refrigerator is much underperforming than the power driven one, due to scarce on-dot charge fluctuations.
Emission linewidth is an important figure of merit for masers and lasers. We recently demonstrated a semiconductor double quantum dot (DQD) micromaser where photons are generated through single electron tunneling events. Charge noise directly couples to the DQD energy levels, resulting in a maser linewidth that is more than 100 times larger than the Schawlow-Townes prediction. Here we demonstrate a linewidth narrowing of more than a factor 10 by locking the DQD emission to a coherent tone that is injected to the input port of the cavity. We measure the injection locking range as a function of …
The energy efficiency and power of a three-terminal thermoelectric nanodevice are studied by considering elastic tunneling through a single quantum dot. Facilitated by the three-terminal geometry, the nanodevice is able to generate simultaneously two electrical powers by utilizing only one temperature bias. These two electrical powers can add up constructively or destructively, depending on their signs. It is demonstrated that the constructive addition leads to the enhancement of both energy efficiency and output power for various system parameters. In fact, such enhancement, dubbed as thermoe…
We formulate a model of a semiconductor Quantum Dot laser with injection of spin-polarized electrons. As compared to higher-dimensionality structures, the Quantum-Dot-based active region is known to improve laser properties, including the spin-related ones. The wetting layer, from which carriers are captured into the active region, acts as an intermediate level that strongly influences the lasing operation. The finite capture rate leads to an increase of lasing thresholds, and to saturation of emitted light at higher injection. In spite of these issues, the advantageous threshold reduction, re…
Motivated by recent experiments, we consider a single-electron transistor in the Kondo regime which is coupled to three leads in the presence of large bias voltages. Such a steady-state non-equilibrium system is to a large extent governed by a decoherence rate induced by the current through the dot. As the two-terminal conductance turns out to be rather insensitive to the decoherence rate, we study the conductance in a three-terminal device using perturbative renormalization group and calculate the characteristic splitting of the Kondo resonance. The interplay between potential biases and anis…
We predict strong non-local effects in the three-terminal hybrid device, comprising the quantum dot embedded between two conducting leads and third superconducting reservoir. They result from competition between the ballistic electron transfer and the crossed Andreev scattering. The non-local voltage induced in response to the 'driving' current changes the magnitude and sign upon varying the gate potential and/or coupling to the superconducting lead. Such effect is robust both in the linear and non-linear regimes, where the screening and the long-range interactions play significant role. This …
Electron transport properties in a parallel double-quantum-dot structure with three-terminals are theoretically studied. By introducing a local Rashba spin-orbit coupling, we find that an incident electron from one terminal can select a specific terminal to depart from the quantum dots according to its spin state. As a result, spin polarization and spin separation can be simultaneously realized in this structure. And spin polarizations in different terminals can be inverted by tuning the structure parameters. The underlying quantum interference that gives rise to such a result is analyzed in t…
Three-terminal topological superconducting nanowire (TSNW)-quantum dot (QD) hybrid junction devices are studied. The energy spectra and the wave functions of the subgap states are calculated as a function of the superconducting phase differences between TSNWs and as a function of the QD level energy based on the Bogoliubov-de Gennes tight-binding Hamiltonians. It is shown that when the QD level is located near or inside the superconducting gap, there can exist eight subgap states. Among them, four low energy (two positive and two negative) subgap states are essentially formed by linear combina…
The quest for good thermoelectric materials and/or high-efficiency thermoelectric devices is of primary importance from theoretical and practical points of view. Low-dimensional structures with quantum dots or molecules are promising candidates to achieve the goal. Interactions between electrons, far-from-equilibrium conditions and strongly non-linear transport are important factors affecting the usefulness of the devices. This paper analyses the thermoelectric power of a two-terminal quantum dot under large thermal $ΔT$ and voltage $V$ biases as well as the performance of the three-terminal s…
We suggest a series of transport experiments on spin precession in quantum dots coupled to one or two ferromagnetic leads. Dot spin states are created by spin injection and analyzed via the linear conductance through the dot, while an applied magnetic field gives rise to the Hanle effect. Such a Hanle experiment can be used to determine the spin lifetime in the quantum dot, to measure the spin injection efficiency into the dot, as well as proving the existence of intrinsic spin precession which is driven by the Coulomb interaction.
We show that the Coulomb interaction between two circuits separated by an insulating layer leads to unconventional thermoelectric effects, such as the cooling by thermal current effect, the transverse thermoelectric effect and Maxwell's demon effect. The first refers to cooling in one circuit induced by the thermal current in the other circuit. The middle represents electric power generation in one circuit by the temperature gradient in the other circuit. The physical picture of Coulomb drag between the two circuits is first demonstrated for the case with one quantum dot in each circuits and t…
We investigate the nonequilibrium transport properties of a three-terminal quantum dot in the strongly interacting limit. At low temperatures, a Kondo resonance arises from the antiferromagnetic coupling between the localized electron in the quantum dot and the conduction electrons in source and drain leads. It is known that the local density of states is accessible through the differential conductance measured at the (weakly coupled) third lead. Here, we consider the multiterminal current-current correlations (shot noise and cross correlations measured at two different terminals). We discuss …
Tunnel-injection lasers promise various advantages in comparison to conventional laser designs. In this paper, we present a theoretical analysis for the physics of the tunnel-injection process in quantum-dot based laser devices. We describe the carrier dynamics in terms of scattering between states of the coupled system consisting of injector quantum-well, tunnel-barrier, and quantum-dots. Our analysis demonstrates how current quantum-dot based lasers can benefit from the tunnel-injection design. We find that the often assumed LO-phonon resonance condition for the level alignment only weakly i…
The process of tunneling injection is known to improve the dynamical characteristics of quantum well and quantum dot lasers; in the latter, it also improves the temperature performance. The advantage of the tunneling injection process stems from the fact that it avoids hot carrier injection, which is a key performance-limiting factor in all semiconductor lasers. The tunneling injection process is not fully understood microscopically and therefore it is difficult to optimize those laser structures. We present here a numerical study of the broad band carrier dynamics in a tunneling injection qua…
We investigate real-time dynamics of spin-polarized current in a quantum dot coupled to ferromagnetic leads in both parallel and antiparallel alignments. While an external bias voltage is taken constant in time, a gate terminal, capacitively coupled to the quantum dot, introduces a periodic modulation of the dot level. Using non equilibrium Green's function technique we find that spin polarized electrons can tunnel through the system via additional photon-assisted transmission channels. Owing to a Zeeman splitting of the dot level, it is possible to select a particular spin component to be pho…

The equilibrium current-phase structure of a tri-terminal superconducting Josephson junction (bijunction) is analyzed as a function of the two relevant phases. The bijunction is made of two noninteracting quantum dots, each one carrying a single level. Nonlocal processes coupling the three terminals are described in terms of quartet tunneling and pair cotunneling. These couplings are due to nonlocal Andreev and cotunneling processes through the central superconductor $S_0$, as well as direct interdot coupling. In some cases, two degenerate midgap Andreev states appear, symmetric with respect t…
We report on recent progress in the acousto-electrical control of self-assembled quantum dot and quantum post using radio frequency surface acoustic waves (SAWs). We show that the occupancy state of these optically active nanostructures can be controlled via the SAW-induced dissociation of photogenerated excitons and the resulting sequential bipolar carrier injection which strongly favors the formation of neutral excitons for quantum posts in contrast to conventional quantum dots. We demonstrate high fidelity preparation of the neutral biexciton which makes this approach suitable for determini…
We investigate current fluctuations in a three-terminal quantum dot in the sequential tunneling regime. Dynamical spin blockade can be induced when the spin-degeneracy of the dot states is lifted by a magnetic field. This results in super-Poissonian shot noise and positive zero-frequency cross-correlations. Our proposed setup can be realized with semiconductor quantum dots.
