In this note we consider the moduli space of stable bundles of rank two on a very general quintic surface. We study the potentially obstructed points of the moduli space via the spectral covering of a twisted endomorphism. This analysis leads to generically non-reduced components of the moduli space, and components which are generically smooth of more than the expected dimension. We obtain a sharp bound asked for by O'Grady saying when the moduli space is good.
Let $X$ be a smooth quintic hypersurface in $\mathbb{P}^3$, let $C$ be a smooth hyperplane section of $X$, and let $H=\mathcal{O}_X(C)$. In this paper, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the line bundle given by a non-zero effective divisor on $X$ to be initialized and aCM with respect to $H$.
The moduli space $M(c_2)$, of stable rank two vector bundles of degree one on a very general quintic surface $X\subset {\mathbb P}^3$, is irreducible for all $c_2\geq 4$ and empty otherwise.
Mirror symmetry suggests that on a Calabi-Yau 3-fold moduli spaces of stable bundles, especially those with degree zero and indivisible Chern class, might be smooth (i.e. unobstructed, though perhaps of too high a dimension). This is because smoothly embedded special lagrangian cycles in the mirror have unobstructed deformations. As there does not seem to be a counterexample in the literature we provide one here, showing that such a Tian-Todorov-McLean-type result cannot hold.
In this article we study Brill-Noether loci of moduli space of stable bundles over smooth surfaces. We define Petri map as an analogy with the case of curves. We show the non-emptiness of certain Brill-Noether loci over very general quintic hypersurface in $\mathbb{P}^3$, and use the Petri map to produce components of expected dimension.
We completely describe the components of expected dimension of the Hilbert Scheme of rational curves of fixed degree $k$ in the moduli space ${\rm SU}_{C}(r,L)$ of semistable vector bundles of rank $r$ and determinant $L$ on a curve $C$. We show that for every $k \geq 1$ there are ${\rm gcd}(r, °L)$ unobstructed components. In addition, if $k$ is divisible by $r_1(r-r_1)(g-1)$ for $1\le r_1\le r-1$, there is an additional obstructed component of the expected dimension for each such $r_1$. We construct families of obstructed components and show that their generic point is not the generic vector…
Let $Y$ be the del Pezzo $4$-fold defined by the linear section $\textrm{Gr}(2,5)$ by $\mathbb{P}^7$. In this paper, we classify the type of normal bundles of lines in $Y$ and describe its parameter space. As a corollary, we obtain the desigularized model of the moduli space of stable maps in $Y$. Also we compute the intersection Poincaré polynomial of the stable maps space.
We provide a semiorthogonal decomposition for the derived category of fibrations of quintic del Pezzo surfaces with rational Gorenstein singularities. There are three components, two of which are equivalent to the derived categories of the base and the remaining non-trivial component is equivalent to the derived category of a flat and finite of degree 5 scheme over the base. We introduce two methods for the construction of the decomposition. One is the moduli space approach following the work of Kuznetsov on the sextic del Pezzo fibrations and the components are given by the derived categories…
We construct positive-genus analogues of Welschinger's invariants for many real symplectic manifolds, including the odd-dimensional projective spaces and the renowned quintic threefold. In some cases, our invariants provide lower bounds for counts of real positive-genus curves in real algebraic varieties. Our approach to the orientability problem is based entirely on the topology of real bundle pairs over symmetric surfaces; the previous attempts involved direct computations for the determinant lines of Fredholm operators over bordered surfaces. We use the notion of real orientation introduced…
