Inspired by the newly observed $D_{sJ}(3040)^+$ state, in this work we systemically study the two-body strong decays of P-wave charmed-strange mesons with the first radial excitation. Under the assignment of $1^{+}(j^P=1/2^+)$, i.e. the first radial excitation of $D_{s1}(2460)^+$, we find that the width of $D_{sJ}(3040)^+$ is close to the lower limit of the BaBar measurement. This indicates that it is reasonable to interpret $D_{sJ}(3040)^+$ as the first radial excitation of $D_{s1}(2460)^+$. Our calculation further predicts that $0^-+1^-$ channels e.g. $D^+K^{*0}$, $D^0 K^{*+}$ and $D_s^+ϕ$ are important for the search for $D_{sJ}(3040)^+$. To help future experiments finding the remaining three P-wave charmed-strange mesons with the first radial excitation, we present the predictions for the strong decays of these three P-wave charmed-strange mesons.
Production of strange and charmed baryons in pion induced reactions
In the present work, we investigate the production of $P-$wave charmed or charmed-strange mesons in the pion or kaon induced reactions on a proton target. The total cross sections as well as the differential cross sections depending on the scattering angle are evaluated in an effective Lagrangian approach. Our estimations indicate that magnitude of the cross sections strongly depends on the model parameter but such dependence can be almost completely canceled for the cross section ratios. These model independent ratios can be taken as a good criterion of the validity of heavy quark limit in th…
We present the energy spectra of the low lying doubly-charmed baryons using lattice quantum chromodynamics. We precisely predict the ground state mass of the charmed-strange Omega(cc) (1/2+) baryon to be 3712(11)(12) MeV which could well be the next doubly-charmed baryon to be discovered at the LHCb experiment at CERN. We also predict masses of other doubly-charmed strange baryons with quantum numbers 3/2+, 1/2-, and 3/2-.
In the present work, we adopt a relativistic constituent quark model to depict the charmed strange meson spectroscopy, in which $D_{s0}(2317)$ and $D_{s1}(2460)$ are considered as the $1^3P_0$ and $1P_1^\prime$ charmed strange mesons, respectively. By using the wave function obtained from the relativistic quark model, we further investigate the electric transitions between charmed strange mesons. We find the long wave length approximation is reasonable for the charmed strange meson radiative decay by comparing the results with different approximations. The estimated partial widths are all safe…
We study strange and charmed baryon productions, ${π+ p \rightarrow K(D) + Y(Y_c)}$, where ${Y(Y_c)}$ is a strange(charmed) baryon of a ground or an excited state. We propose a new production mechanism where two quarks in the baryon participate in the reaction (two-quark process), which enables excitation of both $λ$- and $ρ$-modes of the baryons. To deal with the two-quark process, we consider the 't Hooft six-quark interaction from the instanton model. We study production rates in relation with the structure of charmed baryons for the forward angle scattering.
By an unquenched quark model, we predict a charmed-strange baryon state, namely, the $Ω_{c0}^d(1P,1/2^-)$. Its mass is predicted to be 2945 MeV, which is below the $Ξ_c\bar{K}$ threshold due to the nontrivial coupled-channel effect. So the $Ω_{c0}^d(1P,1/2^-)$ state could be regraded as the analog of the charmed-strange meson $D_{s0}^*(2317)$. It is a good opportunity for the running Belle II experiment to search for this state in the $Ω_c^{(*)}γ$ mass spectrum experiment in the future.
We investigate the mass spectra of exotic hadrons known as hexaquarks in the form of dibaryons. We use a phenomenological model based on an extended version of the Gürsey-Radicati mass formula for hadrons to include non-charmed baryons, charmed baryons, and non-strange dibaryons to be able to predict masses of potential dibaryon states. We perform six numerical fits of this model to input data for three different sets of masses of baryons and dibaryons. We find that the model can fit some of the data sets well, especially the sets including charmed baryons and non-strange dibaryons, and observ…
The LHCb experiment at CERN has discovered a doubly charmed isoscalar tetraquark $T_{cc}$ with the quantum numbers of $c c \bar u \bar d$ and mass of about 3875 MeV/$c^2$, decaying to $D^0 D^0 π^+$ through the intermediate channel $D^{*+} D^0$. We present a study of its strange companions with the quantum numbers of $c c \bar q \bar s$, where $q = u, d$ and isospin violation is neglected.
In this work, we systematically investigate the dibaryons with charm number $C$=1 and strangeness number $S$=$\pm$ 1 from the interactions of a charmed baryon and a strange baryon $Λ_cΛ$, $Λ_cΣ^{(*)}$, $Σ_c^{(*)}Λ$, and $Σ^{(*)}_cΣ^{(*)}$, and corresponding interactions of a charmed baryon and an antistrange baryon $Λ_c\barΛ$, $Λ_c\barΣ^{(*)}$, $Σ^{(*)}_c\barΛ$, and $Σ^{(*)}_c\barΣ^{(*)}$. With the help of the effective Lagrangians with $SU(3)$, heavy quark, and chiral symmetries, the potentials of the interactions considered are constructed by light meson exchanges. To search for the possible…
This is an extension of the prediction of strange baryon decays to the decays of charmed baryons using QCD Sum Rules. Using QCD Sum Rules we estimate the decay $Λ^+_c (udc) \rightarrow Λ^o_s(uds)+ π^+$. Although some weak decays of the $Λ^+_c$ have been measured, since it is difficult to measure $Λ^+_c \rightarrow Λ^o_s+ π^+$ our estimates should be useful for future experiments
In this work, using the covariant light front approach with conventional vertex functions, we estimate the production rates of $D$-wave charmed/charmed-strange mesons via $B_{(s)}$ semileptonic decays. Due to these calculated considerable production rates, it is possible to experimentally search for $D$-wave charmed/charmed-strange mesons via the semileptonic decays, which may provide extra approach to explore $D$-wave charmed/charmed-strange mesons.

We discuss the convergence properties of chiral expansions for the pseudoscalar and vector charmed meson masses based on the chiral SU(3) Lagrangian. Conventional expansion strategies as formulated in terms of bare meson masses are shown to suffer from poor convergence properties. This changes once the expansion is set up in terms of on-shell masses. We find a rapid convergence of the chiral expansion from vanishing quark masses up to physical values of the strange quark mass in this case. Detailed results are presented at the one-loop level for the D-meson and D^*-meson masses. It is emphasiz…
Inspired by the very recently discovered tetraquark states $T_{c\bar s 0}^a(2900)^{0,++}$ from the LHCb Collaboration, we predict the existence of a new charmed-strange pentaquark system, $c\bar s nnn$, which is closely connected to $c\bar s n\bar n$ by exchanging $\bar n$ into $nn$ with $n=u,d$. Especially, it is suggested to experimentally search for the predicted new pentaquark system via the weak decays of $B$ mesons or $b$-baryons, with the support from the study of the mass spectrum and the decay properties. The predicted new pentaquark system must attract extensive attention from experi…
In this work, we adopt the one-boson-exchange model to study the $D^{(*)}K^{(*)}$ interactions. With the same parameters, we can simultaneously reproduce the masses of the $D_{s0}(2317)$, $D_{s1}(2460)$, and $T_{c\bar{s}}^{a0(++)}(2900)$ recently observed by the LHCb collaboration in the hadronic molecular picture, where the $D_{s0}(2317)$, $D_{s1}(2460)$, and $T_{c\bar{s}}^{a0(++)}(2900)$ are regarded as the $DK[I(J^P)=0(0^+)]$, $D^*K[0(1^+)]$, and $D^*K^*[1(0^+)]$ charmed-strange molecular states, respectively. In addition, we extend to study the $Λ_cK^{(*)}$ and $Σ_cK^{(*)}$ interactions an…
We make a systematic calculation of the spectra and hadronic decays of the $D_s$ system in a coupled channel framework, where the unquenched effects are induced by the $^3P_0$ model. In the calculation, the wave functions are obtained by using a nonrelativistic potential model and are handled precisely with Gaussian Expansion Method. Even though the fitting mainly focuses on the spectrum, our model agrees well with the experiments on both the spectra and the hadronic decays, suggesting that the coupled channel effect could result in a reasonable and coherent description of the $D_s$ mesons. Ba…
A semi-relativistic potential model is adopted to calculate the mass spectra of charmed and charmed-strange meson states up to the $2D$ excitations. The strong decay properties are further analyzed with a chiral quark model by using the numerical wave functions obtained from the potential model. By using the strong decay amplitudes extracted from the chiral quark model, we also systematically study the coupled-channel effects on the bare masses of the $1P$-wave states, since the masses of $D^*_{s0}(2317)$ and $D_{s1}(2460)$ cannot be explained with bare $1P$-wave states within the potential mod…
Excited states masses of the strange singly charmed baryons are calculated using the non-relativistic approach of hypercentral Constituent Quark Model (hCQM). The hyper-Coulomb plus screened potential is used as a confinement potential with the first order correction. The spin-spin, spin-orbit and spin-tensor interaction terms are included perturbatively. Our calculated masses are allowed to construct the Regge trajectories in both $(n_r, M^2)$ and $(J, M^2)$ planes. The mass spectra and the Regge trajectories study predict the spin-parity of $Ξ{_c(2970)^{+/0}}$, $Ξ{_c(3080)^{+/0}}$, $Ξ{_c(312…
In the present work, we investigate the scalar, axialvector and tensor doubly-charmed tetraquark molecular states without strange, with strange and with doubly-strange via the QCD sum rules, and try to make assignment of the $T^+_{cc}$ from the LHCb collaboration in the scenario of molecular states. The predictions favor assigning the $T^+_{cc}$ to be the lighter $DD^{*}$ molecular state with the spin-parity $J^P=1^+$ and isospin $I=0$, while the heavier $DD^{*}$ molecular state with the spin-parity $J^P=1^+$ and isospin $I=1$ still escapes experimental detections, the observation of the heavi…
