We prove a conjecture of Kontsevich regarding the solutions of rank two recursion relations for non-commutative variables which, in the commutative case, reduce to rank two cluster algebras of affine type. The conjecture states that solutions are positive Laurent polynomials in the initial cluster variables. We prove this by use of a non-commutative version of the path models which we used for the commutative case.
In this paper we introduce a new family of the KP tau-functions. This family can be described by a deformation of the generalized Kontsevich matrix model. We prove that the simplest representative of this family describes a generating function of the cubic Hodge integrals satisfying the Calabi-Yau condition, and claim that the whole family describes its generalization for the higher spin cases. To investigate this family we construct a new description of the Sato Grassmannian in terms of a canonical pair of the Kac-Schwarz operators.
One way of reconciling classical and quantum mechanics is deformation quantization, which involves deforming the commutative algebra of functions on a Poisson manifold to a non-commutative, associative algebra, reminiscent of the space of quantum observables. This depends on a formal parameter $\hbar$, so that the original pointwise product is recovered when $\hbar=0$. In 1997 Kontsevich showed that a deformation quantization exists for every Poisson manifold. He furthermore gave a simple, combinatorial formula for producing a quantization of any Poisson structure on $\mathbb{R}^n$. The primar…
We introduce and solve the non-commutative version of the Hermite-Padé type I approximation problem. Its solution, expressed by quasideterminants, leads in a natural way to a subclass of solutions of the non-commutative Hirota (discrete Kadomtsev--Petviashvili) system and of its linear problem. We also prove integrability of the constrained system, which in the simplest case is the non-commutative discrete-time Toda lattice equation known from the theory of non-commutative Padé approximants and matrix orthogonal polynomials.
We prove integrability of a generalised non-commutative fourth order quintic nonlinear Schrodinger equation. The proof is relatively succinct and rooted in the linearisation method pioneered by Ch. Poppe. It is based on solving the corresponding linearised partial differential system to generate an evolutionary Hankel operator for the `scattering data'. The time-evolutionary solution to the non-commutative nonlinear partial differential system is then generated by solving a linear Fredholm equation which corresponds to the Marchenko equation. The integrability of reverse space-time and reverse…
We study the Yang-Baxter equation for the $R$-matrices of the six-vertex model. We analyze the solutions and give new parametrizations of the Yang-Baxter equation. In particular, we find the maximal commutative families of parametrized solutions which generalize the $R$-matrices from the affine quantum (super)-groups. Then we give a new parametrization of the Yang-Baxter equation by a groupoid of non-free-fermionic matrices. In the appendix, we study the general algebraic structure of the solutions of the Yang-Baxter and formulate a conjecture that extends the conjecture by Brubaker, Bump, and…
We give a constructive proof, to all orders, that each member of the non-commutative potential Korteweg-de Vries hierarchy is a Fredholm Grassmannian flow and is therefore linearisable. Indeed we prove this for any linear combination of fields from this hierarchy. That each member of the hierarchy is linearisable, and integrable in this sense, means that the time evolving solution can be generated from the solution to the corresponding linear dispersion equation in the hierarchy, combined with solving an associated linear Fredholm equation representing the Marchenko equation. Further, we show …
