Skin Effect Problem with Diffusion Boundary Conditions in Maxwell Plasma

The analytical method of solving the boundary problems for a system of equations describing the behaviour of electrons and an electric field in the Maxwell plasma half-space is developed. Here the diffusion reflection of electrons from the surface as a boundary condition is supposed. The exact solution for boundary value problem of the Vlasov-Maxwell equations through the eigenfunctions of the discrete spectrum and the continuous spectrum is obtained. The method of decomposition by eigenfunctions of discrete and continuous spectrum is used. The exact expression for the surface impedance also is obtained.

Skin effect with arbitrary specularity in Maxwellian plasma

The problem of skin effect with arbitrary specularity in maxwellian plasma with specular--diffuse boundary conditions is solved. A new analytical method is developed that makes it possible to to obtain a solution up to an arbitrary degree of accuracy. The method is based on the idea of symmetric continuation not only the electric field, but also electron distribution function. The solution is obtained in a form of von Neumann series.

Friedel-Type Oscillations in the Problem of Skin Effect in Degenerate Collisionless Plasma

It is shown that a Friedel type oscillations accompany skin effect in degenerate plasma of a metal. It was learnt earlier that Friedel oscillations take place under charge screening in quantum plasma. However the nature of Friedel oscillations is not in the quantum character of the plasma, but in the features of degenerate Fermi distribution, namely, in its sharp transformation into zero directly just the other side of the Fermi surface. This circumstance leads to the Frieldel-type oscillations under anomalous skin effect.

Longitudinal dielectric permettivity of quantum Maxwell collisional plasmas

The kinetic equation of Wigner -- Vlasov -- Boltzmann with collision integral in relaxation BGK (Bhatnagar, Gross and Krook) form in coordinate space for quantum non--degenerate (Maxwellian) collisional plasma is used. Stability of relativistic plasma-vacuum interfaces

We study the plasma-vacuum interface problem in relativistic magnetohydrodynamics for the case when the plasma density does not go to zero continuously, but jumps. In the vacuum region we consider the Maxwell equations for electric and magnetic fields. We show that a sufficiently large vacuum electric field can make the planar interface violently unstable.
