In this paper we consider realistic model of inflation embedded in the framework of loop quantum cosmology. Phase of inflation is preceded here by the phase of a quantum bounce. We show how parameters of inflation depend on the initial conditions established in the contracting, pre-bounce phase. Our investigations indicate that phase of the bounce easily sets proper initial conditions for the inflation. Subsequently we study observational effects that might arise due to the quantum gravitational modifications. We perform preliminary observational constraints for the Barbero-Immirzi parameter $γ$, critical density $ρ_{\text{c}}$ and parameter $λ$. In the next step we study effects on power spectrum of perturbations. We calculate spectrum of perturbations from the bounce and from the joined bounce+inflation phase. Based on these studies we indicate possible way to relate quantum cosmological models with the astronomical observations. Using the Sachs-Wolfe approximation we calculate spectrum of the super-horizontal CMB anisotropies. We show that quantum cosmological effects can, in the natural way, explain suppression of the low CMB multipoles. We show that fine-tuning is not required here and model is consistent with observations. We also analyse other possible probes of the quantum cosmologies and discuss perspectives of their implementation.
Brane cosmology from observational surveys and its comparison with standard FRW cosmology
Four-dimensional cosmological models are studied on a boundary of a five-dimensional Anti-de Sitter (AdS_5) black hole with AdS Reissner-Nordstrom and scalar charged Reissner- Nordstrom black hole solutions, where we call the former a "Hairless" black hole and the latter a "Hairy" black hole. To obtain the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) spacetime metric on the boundary of the AdS_5 black hole, we employ Eddington-Finkelstein (EF) coordinates to the bulk geometry. We then derive modified Friedmann equations on a boundary of the AdS_5 black hole via AdS/CFT correspondence and discuss its cosmo…
In this paper, we explore a fractal model of the universe proposed by Calcagni [JHEP{\bf03}(2010)120] for a power-counting renormalizable field theory living in a fractal spacetime. Considering a timelike fractal profile, we derived field equations in fractal cosmology, in order to explore the structure formation and the expansion history in fractal universe. Numerical investigations based on matter power spectra diagrams report higher structure growth in fractal cosmology, being in contrast to local galaxy surveys. Additionally, according to the evolution of Hubble parameter diagrams, it can …
The way physics of loop quantum gravity is affected by the underlying quantization ambiguities is an open question. We address this issue in the context of loop quantum cosmology using gauge-covariant fluxes. Consequences are explored for two choices of regularization parameters: $μ_0$ and $\bar μ$ in presence of a positive cosmological constant, and two choices of regularizations of the Hamiltonian constraint in loop quantum cosmology: the standard and the Thiemann regularization. We show that novel features of singularity resolution and bounce, occurring due to gauge-covariant fluxes, exist …

In this work, we use an observational approach and dynamical system analysis to study the cosmological model recently proposed by Saridakis (2020), which is based on the modification of the entropy-area black hole relation proposed by Barrow (2020). The Friedmann equations governing the dynamics of the Universe under this entropy modification can be calculated through the gravity-thermodynamics conjecture. We investigate two models, one considering only a matter component and the other including matter and radiation, which have new terms compared to the standard model sourcing the late cosmic …
We present the luminosity distance series expansion to third order in redshift for a general space-time with no assumption on the metric tensor or the field equations prescribing it. It turns out that the coefficients of this general 'Hubble law' can be expressed in terms of a finite number of physically interpretable multipole coefficients. The multipole terms can be combined into effective direction dependent parameters replacing the Hubble constant, deceleration parameter, curvature parameter, and 'jerk' parameter of the Friedmann-Lema\^ıtre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) class of metrics. Due to …
Anisotropies generically dominate the earliest stages of expansion of a homogeneous universe. They are particularly relevant in bouncing models, since shears grow in the contracting phase of the cosmos, making the isotropic situation unstable. This paper extends the study of cosmological perturbations in loop quantum cosmology (LQC) to anisotropic Bianchi I models that contain a bounce followed by a phase of slow-roll inflation. We show that, although the shear tensor dilutes and the universe isotropizes soon after the bounce, cosmic perturbations retain memory of this short anisotropic phase.…
New observational constraints on $f(T)$ cosmology from radio quasars
Cosmological inflation is not the only early universe scenario consistent with current observational data. I will discuss the criteria for a successful early universe cosmology, compare a couple of the proposed scenarios (inflation, bouncing cosmologies, and the {\it emergent} scenario), focusing on how future observational data will be able to distinguish between them. I will argue that we need to go beyond effective field theory in order to understand the early universe, and that principles of superstring theory will yield a nonsingular cosmology.
