We calculate the leading-order scattering amplitude of one vector and two tensor gauge bosons in a recently proposed non-Abelian tensor gauge field theory and open superstring theory. The linear in momenta part of the superstring amplitude has identical Lorentz structure with the gauge theory, while its cubic in momenta part can be identified with an effective Lagrangian which is constructed using generalized non-Abelian field strength tensors.
The spectrum-generating algebra (SGA) for charged superstrings placed in constant background magnetic fields is constructed. Contrary to the neutral string this algebra is characteristic of including the cyclotron frequency. The Regge intercept and superconformal anomalies are calculated to be shifted by the cyclotron frequency and D-brane parameters from the conventional values.
We study (p,q)=(2,4k) minimal superstrings within the minimal superstring field theory constructed in hep-th/0611045. We explicitly give a solution to the W_{1+\infty} constraints by using charged D-instanton operators, and show that the (m,n)-instanton sector with m positive-charged and n negative-charged ZZ-branes is described by an (m+n)\times (m+n) supermatrix model. We argue that the supermatrix model can be regarded as an open string field theory on the multi ZZ-brane system.
It has long been known that in principle, the genus g vacuum amplitude for bosonic strings or superstrings in 26 or 10 dimensions can be entirely determined from conditions of holomorphy. Moreover, this has been done in practice for bosonic strings of low genus. Here we describe in a unified way how to determine the bosonic string and superstring vacuum amplitude in genus 1 and 2 via holomorphy. The main novelty is the superstring analysis in genus 2, where we use holomorphy to get a new understanding of some of the results that previously have been obtained by more explicit calculations.
It is in general very subtle to integrate over the odd moduli of super Riemann surfaces in perturbative superstring computations. We study how these subtleties go away in favorable cases, including the embedding of N=0 string to N=1 string by Berkovits and Vafa, and the relation of the graviphoton amplitude and the topological string amplitude by Antoniadis, Gava, Narain and Taylor and Bershadsky, Cecotti, Ooguri and Vafa. The Poincaré dual of the moduli space of Riemann surfaces in the moduli space of super Riemann surfaces plays an important role.
Some time ago the bosonic and fermionic 4-field terms of the non-abelian low energy effective action of the open superstring were obtained, to all order in $α'$. This was done at tree level by directly generalizing the abelian case, treated some time before, and considering the known expressions of all massless superstring 4-point amplitudes (at tree level). In the present work we obtain the bosonic 5-field terms of this effective action, to all order in $α'$. This is done by considering the simplified expression of the superstring 5-point amplitude for massless bosons, obtained some time ago.
The unitarity equations for the boson interaction amplitudes in the superstring theory are used to calculate the interaction amplitudes including the Ramond states, which are 10-fermion and Ramond bosons. The n-loop, 4-point amplitude with two massless Neveu-Schwarz bosons and two massless Ramond states is obtained explicitly. It is shown that, in addition, the unitarity equations require some integral relations for local functions determining the amplitude. For the tree amplitude the validness of the above integral relations is verified.
We construct a class of analytic solutions of WZW-type open superstring field theory describing marginal deformations of a reference D-brane background. The deformations we consider are generated by on-shell vertex operators with vanishing operator products. The superstring solution exhibits an intriguing duality with the corresponding marginal solution of the {\it bosonic} string. In particular, the superstring problem is ``dual'' to the problem of re-expressing the bosonic marginal solution in pure gauge form. This represents the first nonsingular analytic solution of open superstring field …
Constructing a consistent four-dimensional Lagrangian for charged massive higher-spin fields propagating in an electromagnetic background is an open problem. In 1989, Argyres and Nappi used bosonic open string field theory to construct a Lagrangian for charged massive spin-2 fields in a constant electromagnetic background. In this paper, we use the four-dimensional hybrid formalism for open superstring field theory to construct a supersymmetric Lagrangian for charged massive spin-2 and spin-3/2 fields in a constant electromagnetic background. The hybrid formalism has the advantage over the RNS…
We find solutions of supersymmetric string field theory that correspond to the photon marginal deformation in the boundary conformal field theory. We revisit the bosonic string marginal deformation and generate a real solution for it. We find a map between the solutions of bosonic and supersymmetric string field theories and suggest a universal solution to superstring field theory.
The $K=4$ fractional superstring Fock space is constructed in terms of $\bZ_4$ parafermions and free bosons. The bosonization of the $\bZ_4$ parafermion theory and the generalized commutation relations satisfied by the modes of various parafermion fields are reviewed. In this preliminary analysis, we describe a Fock space which is simply a tensor product of $\bZ_4$ parafermion and free boson Fock spaces. It is larger than the Lorentz-covariant Fock space indicated by the fractional superstring partition function. We derive the form of the fractional superconformal algebra that may be used as t…
We construct analytic solutions of open superstring field theory in the Berkovits formulation using boundary condition changing operators under some regularity conditions, extending the previous construction in the bosonic string. We also consider the gauge-invariant observables corresponding to closed string one-point functions on the disk. We analytically calculate the gauge-invariant observables for the solutions both in the bosonic string and in the superstring and find the expected change of boundary conditions of the disk.
We construct the covariant $κ$-symmetric superstring action for type $IIB$ superstring on plane wave space supported by Ramond-Ramond background. The action is defined as a 2d sigma-model on the coset superspace. We fix the fermionic and bosonic light-cone gauges in the covariant Green-Schwarz superstring action and find the light-cone string Lagrangian and the Hamiltonian. The resulting light-cone gauge action is quadratic in both the bosonic and fermionic superstring 2d fields, and therefore, this model can be explicitly quantized. We also obtain a realization of the generators of the basic …
We first derive all world-sheet action functionals for NSR superstring models with (1,1) supersymmetry and any number of abelian gauge fields, for gauge transformations of the standard form. Then we prove for these models that the BRST cohomology groups $H^g(s)$, $g<4$ (with the antifields taken into account) are isomorphic to those of the corresponding bosonic string models, whose cohomology is fully known. This implies that the nontrivial global symmetries, Noether currents, background charges, consistent deformations and candidate gauge anomalies of an NSR (1,1) superstring model are in one…
We propose a setup with ultracold atomic gases that can be used to make a nonrelativistic superstring in four spacetime dimensions. In particular, we consider for the creation of the superstring a fermionic atomic gas that is trapped in the core of a vortex in a Bose-Einstein condensate. We explain the required tuning of experimental parameters to achieve supersymmetry between the fermionic atoms and the bosonic modes describing the oscillations in the vortex position. Furthermore, we discuss the experimental consequences of supersymmetry.
Bosonic and fermionic particle currents can be introduced in a more unified way, with the cost of introducing a preferred spacetime foliation. Such a unified treatment of bosons and fermions naturally emerges from an analogous superstring current, showing that the preferred spacetime foliation appears only at the level of effective field theory, not at the fundamental superstring level. The existence of the preferred spacetime foliation allows an objective definition of particles associated with quantum field theory in curved spacetime. Such an objective definition of particles makes the Bohmi…
The super-Poincare covariant formalism for the superstring is used to compute massless four-point two-loop amplitudes in ten-dimensional superspace. The computations are much simpler than in the RNS formalism and include both external bosons and fermions.
We compute the massless five-point amplitude of open superstrings using the non-minimal pure spinor formalism and obtain a simple kinematic factor in pure spinor superspace, which can be viewed as the natural extension of the kinematic factor of the massless four-point amplitude. It encodes bosonic and fermionic external states in supersymmetric form and reduces to existing bosonic amplitudes when expanded in components, therefore proving their equivalence. We also show how to compute the kinematic structures involving fermionic states.
I review the covariant quantization of the critical $N{=}2$ fermionic string with and without a global ${\bf Z}_2$ twist. The BRST analysis yields massless bosonic and fermionic vertex operators in various ghost and picture number sectors, as well as picture-changers and their inverses, depending on the field basis chosen for bosonization. Two distinct GSO projections exist, one (untwisted) retaining merely the known bosonic scalar and its spectral-flow partner, the other (twisted) yielding two fermions and one boson, on the massless level. The absence of interactions in the latter case rules …
We give a new, manifestly spacetime-supersymmetric method for calculating superstring scattering amplitudes, using the ghost pyramid, that is simpler than all other known methods. No pictures nor non-vertex insertions are required other than the usual b and c ghosts of the bosonic string. We evaluate some tree and loop amplitudes as examples.
Scattering amplitudes of the spin-4/3 fractional superstring are shown to satisfy spurious state decoupling and cyclic symmetry (duality) at tree-level in the string perturbation expansion. This fractional superstring is characterized by the spin-4/3 fractional superconformal algebra---a parafermionic algebra studied by Zamolodchikov and Fateev involving chiral spin-4/3 currents on the world-sheet in addition to the stress-energy tensor. Examples of tree scattering amplitudes are calculated in an explicit c=5 representation of this fractional superconformal algebra realized in terms of free bo…
We analyze the free ambitwistor string field theory action for the bosonic string, heterotic string and both GSO sectors of the Type II string. The spectrum contains non-unitary states and provides an interesting consistency test for one-loop ambitwistor string computations.
The Coulomb gas representation of expectation values in SU(2) conformal field theory developed by Dotsenko is extended to the SL(2,R) WZW model and applied to bosonic string theory on AdS3 and to Type II superstrings on AdS3 x N. The spectral flow symmetry is included in the free field realization of vertex operators creating superstring states of both Ramond and Neveu-Schwarz sectors. Conjugate representations for these operators are constructed and a background charge prescription is designed to compute correlation functions. Two and three point functions of bosonic and fermionic string stat…
We consider fixing the bosonic light-cone gauge for string in AdS in the phase space framework, i.e. by choosing $x^+ = τ$, and by choosing $σ$ so that $P^+$ is distributed uniformly (its density is independent of $σ$). We discuss classical bosonic string in AdS space and superstring in AdS_5 x S^5. In the latter case the starting point is the action found in hep-th/0007036 where the kappa-symmetry is fixed by a fermionic light cone gauge. We derive the light cone Hamiltonian in the AdS_5 x S^5 case and in the case of superstring in AdS_3 x S^3. We also obtain a realization of the generators o…
We present an exact solution of superstring theory that interpolates in time between an initial type 0 phase and a final phase whose physics is exactly that of the bosonic string. The initial theory is deformed by closed-string tachyon condensation along a lightlike direction. In the limit of large tachyon vev, the worldsheet conformal field theory precisely realizes the Berkovits-Vafa embedding of bosonic string theory into superstring theory. Our solution therefore connects the bosonic string dynamically with the superstring, settling a longstanding question about the relationship between th…
Several arguments are given for the summability of the superstring perturbation series. Whereas the Schottky group coordinatization of moduli space may be used to provide refined estimates of large-order bosonic string amplitudes, the super-Schottky group variables define a measure for the supermoduli space integral which leads to upper bounds on superstring scattering amplitudes.
We identify spacetime symmetry charges of the bosonic sector of 10D superstring theory from an infinite number of zero-norm states (ZNS) in the old covariant first quantized string spectrum. We give evidences to support this identification. These include supersymmetric sigma-model calculation, 2D super-Liouville theory calculation and, most importantly, three methods of high-energy scattering amplitude calculations. These calculations generalize the previous bosonic string calculations, which explicitly prove Gross's conjectures in 1988 on high energy symmetry of string theory. Moreover, we di…
We derive fully covariant expressions for all two-point scattering amplitudes of two massless closed strings from a Dirichlet $p$-brane. This construction relies on the observation that there is a simple relation between these D-brane amplitudes in type II superstring theory and four-point scattering amplitudes for type I open superstrings. From the two-point amplitudes, we derive the long range background fields for the D-branes, and verify that as expected they correspond to those of extremally charged $p$-brane solutions of the low energy effective action.
The conventional S-matrix approach to the (tree level) open string low energy effective lagrangian assumes that, in order to obtain all its bosonic ${α'}^N$ order terms, it is necessary to know the open string (tree level) $(N+2)$-point amplitude of massless bosons, at least expanded at that order in $α'$. In this work we clarify that the previous claim is indeed valid for the bosonic open string, but for the supersymmetric one the situation is much more better than that: there are constraints in the kinematical bosonic terms of the amplitude (probably due to Spacetime Supersymmetry) such that…
We calculate the effective action for nonabelian gauge bosons up to quartic order using WZW-like open superstring field theory. After including level zero and level one contributions, we obtain with 75% accuracy the Yang-Mills quartic term. We then prove that the complete effective action reproduces the exact Yang-Mills quartic term by analytically performing a summation over the intermediate massive states.
In this work, the DDF-like approach to the pure spinor cohomology is extended to the next ghost number level, the so called antifields. In a direct (supersymmetric) parallel to the bosonic string, some properties of the ghost number two cohomology are derived with the enlargement of the DDF algebra. Also, the DDF conjugates of the b ghost zero mode emerge naturally from the extended algebra and the physical state condition is discussed. Unlike the bosonic string case, the cohomology analysis of the pure spinor b ghost is restricted to BRST-closed states.
A discussion of the number of degrees of freedom, and their dynamical properties, in higher-derivative gravitational theories is presented. The complete non-linear sigma model for these degrees of freedom is exhibited using the method of auxiliary fields. As a by-product we present a consistent non-linear coupling of a spin-2 tensor to gravitation. It is shown that non-vanishing $(C_{μναβ})^{2}$ terms arise in $N=1$, $D=4$ superstring Lagrangians due to one-loop radiative corrections with light field internal lines.
We construct a class of nilpotent operators using the BRST current and ghost fields in superstring theory. The operator can be realized in cubic superstring field theory as a kinetic operator in the background of an identity-based solution. For a particular type of the deformed BRST operators, we find a homotopy operator and discuss its relationship to the cohomology in a similar way to the bosonic case, which has been elaborated by the authors.
A careful gauge fixing of the conformal killing group (CKG) on genus zero surfaces in bosonic string theory gives non-vanishing two point amplitudes that match the corresponding field theory expressions arXiv:1906.06051, arXiv:1909.03672 . An important ingredient for gauge fixing two point amplitudes in arXiv:1909.03672 was the mostly BRST (mBRST) exact operator. The utility of this operator in gauge fixing CKG perhaps is not just limited to two point amplitudes - we can insert a mBRST exact operator to fix a conformal killing vector (CKV) instead of fixing the position of a vertex operator in…
Using pure spinors, the superstring was recently quantized in a manifestly ten-dimensional super-Poincaré covariant manner and a covariant prescription was given for tree-level scattering amplitudes. In this paper, we prove that this prescription is cyclically symmetric and, for the scattering of an arbitrary number of massless bosons and up to four massless fermions, it agrees with the standard Ramond-Neveu-Schwarz prescription.
We compute scattering amplitudes of leading Regge trajectory states in open superstring theories. Highest spin states at mass level n with spin s=n+1 for bosons and s=n+1/2 for fermions are generated by particularly simple vertex operators. Hence, the cubic couplings of bosons and fermions on the leading Regge trajectory are given for arbitrary n. The same can be achieved for higher point amplitudes, and this article focuses on four point level with one heavy maximum spin state and three massless states in any bose-fermi combination, putting particular emphasis on manifest cyclic symmetry. Exc…
We examine the possibility of constructing analytical solutions describing marginal deformations in the open superstring field theory that is based on the non-minimal pure-spinor formalism. It is found out that some methods used for constructing solutions of bosonic and RNS string field theories do not seem to generalize to the pure-spinor case, while other methods do lead to reliable analytical solutions.
The evolution of a closed NSR string is considered in the background of constant graviton and antisymmetric fields. The $σ$-model action is written in a manifestly supersymmetric form in terms of superfields. The first order formalism adopted for the closed bosonic string is generalised to implement duality transformations and the constant dual backgrounds are obtained for the dual theory. We recover the $G \rightarrow G^{-1}$ duality for the case when antisymmetric tensor field is set to zero. Next, the case when the backgrounds depend on one superfield, is also analysed. This scenario is sim…
We obtain a bosonization prescription that allows to represent the energy-momentum tensor and supersymmetry generators of non-critical superstring theories with minimal matter as those of topological supergravity. Superstrings with $N=1$ and $N=2$ world-sheet supersymmetry are considered. The topological symmetry associated with the topological supergravity representation is studied. It is shown, in particular, that the compatibility of this topological structure with the supersymmetry enhances the superconformal symmetry of the models concerned.
We perform a detailed study of the type IIA superstring in AdS(4) x CP(3). After introducing suitable bosonic light-cone and fermionic kappa worldsheet gauges we derive the pure boson and fermion SU(2|2) x U(1) covariant light-cone Hamiltonian up to quartic order in fields. As a first application of our derivation we calculate energy shifts for string configurations in a closed fermionic subsector and successfully match these with a set of light-cone Bethe equations. We then turn to investigate the mismatch between the degrees of freedom of scattering states and oscillatory string modes. Since…
Montonen and Olive's conjecture in 1977 that some theories possess a duality symmetry that interchanges the electrically charged particle with that of negatively charged t' Hooft-Polyakov monopoles which relates strong coupling to weak coupling. This will be nearly the same as Shapere et al, who showed that the equation of motion of the coupled Einstein-Maxwell-axion dilaton system, occurs in low energy in String theory, is invariant under electromagnetic duality transformation; that also interchanges the strong and weak coupling limit of the theory. These ideas have been persued in the $SO(6)…
Multiloop superstring amplitudes are calculated in the explicit form by the solution of Ward identities. A naive generalization of Belavin-Knizhnik theorem to the superstring is found to be incorrect since the period matrix turns out to be depended on the spinor structure over the terms proportional to odd moduli. These terms appear because fermions mix bosons under the two-dim. supersymmetry transformations. The closed, oriented superstring turns out to be finite, if it possesses the ten-dimensional supersymmetry, as well as the two-dimentional one. This problem needs a further study.
In this paper, based on the notion of plane wave string/gauge theory duality, we explore the pp wave limit associated with the bosonic sector of $ η$ deformed superstrings propagating in $ (AdS_5 \times S^{5})_η $. Our analysis reveals that in the presence of NS-NS and RR fluxes, the pp wave limit associated to full ABF background satisfies type IIB equations in its standard form. However, the beta functions as well as the string Hamiltonian start receiving non trivial curvature corrections as one starts probing beyond pp wave limit which thereby takes solutions away from the standard type IIB…
We develop calculational tools to determine higher loop superstring correlators involving massless fermionic and spin fields in four space time dimensions. These correlation functions are basic ingredients for the calculation of loop amplitudes involving both bosons and fermions in D=4 heterotic and superstring theories. To obtain the full amplitudes in Lorentz covariant form the loop correlators of fermionic and spin fields have to be expressed in terms of SO(1,3) tensors. This is one of the main achievements in this work.
We construct analytic solutions of open superstring field theory for any exactly marginal deformation in any boundary superconformal field theory when properly renormalized operator products of the marginal operator are given. Our construction is an extension of the general framework for marginal deformations developed in arXiv:0707.4472 for open bosonic string field theory, and the solutions are based on integrated vertex operators which are closely related to finite deformations in boundary superconformal field theory.
Massless BPS-saturated states in toroidally compactified heterotic string were discussed first. Then, I constructed a large class of BPS-saturated states of toroidally compactified type II string theories. They were parametrized by four independent parameters. Both orthogonal and non-orthogonal intersections of non-perturbative states in the corresponding ten dimensional theories were discussed. Phenomenologically, I considered the string effect in the form of threshold corrections on dilatonic charged black holes, and the superpotential of N=1 supergravity theory
Widely spread cruel misconceptions and mistakes in the calculation of multi-loop superstring amplitudes are exposed. Correct calculations are given. It is shown that the cardinal mistake in the gauge fixing procedure presents ab ovo in the Verlinde papers. The mistake was reproduced in following proposals including the recent papers. The modular symmetry of the multi-loop superstring amplitudes is clarified, an incorrectness of previous conjectures being shown. It is shown that the Berezin-type integral versus boson and fermion moduli is doubt under non-split transformations mixing fermion int…
It is developed the phase-space formulation for the Type IIA superstring on the AdS_4 x CP^3 background in the kappa-symmetry light-cone gauge for which the light-like directions are taken from the D=3 Minkowski boundary of AdS_4. After fixing bosonic light-cone gauge the superstring Hamiltonian is expressed as a function of the transverse physical variables and in the quadratic approximation corresponds to the light-cone gauge-fixed IIA superstring in flat space.
The spin-4/3 fractional superstring is characterized by a chiral algebra involving a spin-4/3 current on the world-sheet in addition to the energy-momentum tensor. These currents generate physical state conditions on the fractional superstring Fock space. Scattering amplitudes of these physical states are described which satisfy both spurious state decoupling and cyclic symmetry (duality). Examples of such amplitudes are calculated using an explicit $c=5$ realization of the spin-4/3 current algebra. This representation has three flat coordinate boson fields and a global SO(2,1) Lorentz symmetr…
We consider the tree-level scattering amplitudes in the NS-NS (Neveu-Schwarz) massless sector of closed superstrings in the case where one external state becomes soft. We compute the amplitudes generically for any number of dimensions and any number and kind of the massless closed states through the subsubleading order in the soft expansion. We show that, when the soft state is a graviton or a dilaton, the full result can be expressed as a soft theorem factorizing the amplitude in a soft and a hard part. This behavior is similar to what has previously been observed in field theory and in the b…
The method of the calculation of the multi-loop superstring amplitudes is proposed. The amplitudes are calculated from the equations that are none other than Ward identities. They are derived from the requirement that the discussed amplitudes are independent from a choice of gauge of both the vierbein and the gravitino field. The amplitudes are calculated in the terms of the superfields vacuum correlators on the complex (1|1) supermanifolds. The superconformal Schottky groups appropriate for this aim are built for all the spinor structures. The calculation of the multi- loop boson emission amp…
We extend the calculable analytic approach to marginal deformations recently developed in open bosonic string field theory to open superstring field theory formulated by Berkovits. We construct analytic solutions to all orders in the deformation parameter when operator products made of the marginal operator and the associated superconformal primary field are regular.
We show that 4-point vector boson one-loop amplitudes, computed in ref.[1] in the RNS formalism, around vacuum configurations with open unoriented strings, preserving at least N=1 SUSY in D=4, satisfy the correct supersymmetry Ward identities, in that they vanish for non MHV configurations (++++) and (-+++). In the MHV case (--++) we drastically simplify their expressions. We then study factorisation and the limiting IR and UV behaviour and find some unexpected results. In particular no massless poles are exposed at generic values of the modular parameter. Relying on the supersymmetric propert…
We discuss solutions of the heterotic string theory which are analogous to bosonic and superstring backgrounds related to coset conformal field theories. A class of exact `left-right symmetric' solutions is obtained by supplementing the metric, antisymmetric tensor and dilaton of the superstring solutions by the gauge field background equal to the generalised Lorentz connection with torsion. As in the superstring case, these backgrounds are $\a'$-independent, i.e. have a `semiclassical' form. The corresponding heterotic string sigma model is obtained from the combination of the (1,0) supersymm…
Fractional superstrings are non-trivial generalizations of ordinary superstrings and heterotic strings, and have critical spacetime dimensions which are less than ten by virtue of a worldsheet fractional supersymmetry relating worldsheet bosons to worldsheet parafermions. In this paper, I provide a short non-technical survey of the fundamental issues involved in these recently-proposed theories. After introducing the basic ideas which underlie these new string theories, I review their early successes and outline some related outstanding questions. ( Talk given at the Internal Workshop on Strin…
We construct light-cone gauge superstring field theory in a pp-wave background with Ramond-Ramond flux. The leading term in the interaction Hamiltonian is determined up to an overall function of $p^+$ by requiring closure of the pp-wave superalgebra. The bosonic and fermionic Neumann matrices for this cubic vertex are derived, as is the interaction point operator. We comment on the development of a $1/μp^+$ expansion for these results.
In the framework of WZW-like open superstring field theory (SSFT) including the Ramond (R) sector whose action was constructed by Kunitomo and Okawa, we truncate the string fields in both the Neveu-Schwarz (NS) and R sectors up to the lowest massless level and obtain the ten-dimensional super Yang-Mills (SYM) action with bosonic extra term by explicit calculation of the SSFT action. Furthermore, we compute a contribution from the massive part up to the lowest order and find that the bosonic extra term is canceled and instead a fermionic extra term appears, which can be interpreted as a string …
Certain four-dimensional $N=4$ supersymmetric theories have special vacua in which massive charged vector supermultiplets become massless, resulting in an enhanced non-abelian gauge symmetry. We show here that any two $N=4$ theories having the same Bogomolnyi spectrum at corresponding points of their moduli spaces have the same enhanced symmetry groups. In particular, the $K_3\times T^2$ compactified type II string is argued to have the same enhanced symmetry groups as the $T^6$-compactified heterotic string, giving further evidence for our conjecture that these two string theories are equival…
A generalization of the Thermo Field Dynamics (TFD) for fermionic degrees of freedom is proposed. Such a generalization follows a previous one where the SU(1,1) thermal group was used to obtain the closed bosonic string at finite temperature. The SU(2) thermal group is introduced to construct a general thermal Bogoliubov transformation to get the type IIB superstring at finite temperature.
