An Optimal Transport View On Schroedinger's Equation

We show that the Schroedinger equation is a lift of Newton's law of motion on the space of probability measures, where derivatives are taken w.r.t. the Wasserstein Riemannian metric. Here the potential is the sum of the total classical potential energy of the extended system and its Fisher information. On stability of ground states for finite crystals in the Schroedinger-Poisson model

We consider the Schrödinger-Poisson-Newton equations for finite crystals under periodic boundary conditions with one ion per cell of a lattice. The electrons are described by one-particle Schrödinger equation. Our main results are i) the global dynamics with moving ions; ii) the orbital stability of periodic ground state under a novel Jellium and Wiener-type conditions on the ion charge density. Under the Jellium condition both ionic and electronic charge densities for the ground state are uniform.

Schroedinger operators involving singular potentials and measure data

We study the existence of solutions of the Dirichlet problem for the Schroedinger operator with measure data $$ \left\{ \begin{alignedat}{2} -Δu + Vu & = μ&& \quad \text{in } Ω,\\ u & = 0 && \quad \text{on } \partial Ω. \end{alignedat} \right. $$ We characterize the finite measures $μ$ for which this problem has a solution for every nonnegative potential $V$ in the Lebesgue space $L^p(Ω)$ with $1 \le p \le N/2$. On the asymptotic analysis of the Dirac-Maxwell system in the nonrelativistic limit

We deal with the ``nonrelativistic limit'', i.e. the limit c to infinity, where c is the speed of light, of the nonlinear PDE system obtained by coupling the Dirac equation for a 4-spinor to the Maxwell equations for the self-consistent field created by the ``moving charge'' of the spinor. Uniqueness of Ground States for Pseudo-Relativistic Hartree Equations

We prove uniqueness of ground states $Q$ in $H^{1/2}$ for pseudo-relativistic Hartree equations in three dimensions, provided that $Q$ has sufficiently small $L^2$-mass. This result shows that a uniqueness conjecture by Lieb and Yau in [CMP 112 (1987),147--174] holds true at least under a smallness condition. Our proof combines variational arguments with a nonrelativistic limit, which leads to a certain Hartree-type equation (also known as the Choquard-Pekard or Schroedinger-Newton equation).
