We compute Greeks for stochastic volatility models driven by Brownian informations. We use the Malliavin method introduced for deterministic volatility models.
In this paper we give easy-to-implement closed-form expressions for European and Asian Greeks for general L2-payoff functions and underlying assets in an exponential Lévy process model with nonvanishing Brownian motion part. The results are based on Hilbert space valued Malliavin Calculus and extend previous results from the literature. Numerical experiments suggest, that in the case of a continuous payoff function, a combination of Malliavin Monte Carlo Greeks and the finite difference method has a better convergence behavior, whereas in the case of discontinuous payoff functions, the Malliav…
Although many methods for computing the Greeks of discrete-time Asian options are proposed, few methods to calculate the Greeks of continuous-time Asian options are known. In this paper, we develop an integration by parts formula in the multi-dimensional Malliavin calculus, and apply it to obtain the Greeks formulae for continuous-time Asian options in the multi-asset situation. We combine the Malliavin method with the quasi-Monte Carlo method to calculate the Greeks in simulation. We discuss the asymptotic convergence of simulation estimates for the continuous-time Asian option Greeks obtaine…
Multidimensional Quasi-Monte Carlo Malliavin Greeks
In this paper, we price the zero-coupon bond of the extended Cox-Ingersoll-Ross model by a Dyson type formula established in one of the authors' paper Jin, Peng and Schelllhorn (2016) using Malliavin calculus. This formula provides a fast convergent series to represent the bond price, and it depends on the given drift and volatility of the interest rate process but not the instantaneous forward rate used in Maghsoodi (1996). This expression can be also regarded as a new solution to a class of Reccati equations with time-dependent coefficients.
We consider a surplus process of drifted fractional Brownian motion with the Hurst index $H>1/2$, which appears as a functional limit of drifted compound Poisson risk models with correlated claims, and this is a kind of representation of a surplus with a long memory. Our interest is to construct confidence intervals of the ruin probability of the surplus when the volatility parameter is unknown. We will obtain the derivative of the ruin probability w.r.t. the volatility parameter via Malliavin calculus, and apply the delta method to identify the asymptotic distribution of an estimated ruin pro…
In this paper, we show the existence of unique Malliavin differentiable solutions to SDE`s driven by a fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter H<1/2 and singular, unbounded drift vector fields, for which we also prove a stability result. Further, using the latter results, we propose a stock price model with rough and correlated volatility, which also allows for capturing regime switching effects. Finally, we also derive a Bismut-Elworthy-Li formula with respect to our stock price model for certain classes of vector fields.
In this paper, we establish a probabilistic representation as well as some integration by parts formulae for the marginal law at a given time maturity of some stochastic volatility model with unbounded drift. Relying on a perturbation technique for Markov semigroups, our formulae are based on a simple Markov chain evolving on a random time grid for which we develop a tailor-made Malliavin calculus. Among other applications, an unbiased Monte Carlo path simulation method stems from our formulas so that it can be used in order to numerically compute with optimal complexity option prices as well …
Bounds on Stock Price probability distributions in Local-Stochastic Volatility models
We derive consistent and asymptotically normal estimators for the drift and volatility parameters of the stochastic heat equation driven by an additive space-only white noise when the solution is sampled discretely in the physical domain. We consider both the full space and the bounded domain. We establish the exact spatial regularity of the solution, which in turn, using power-variation arguments, allows building the desired estimators. We show that naive approximations of the derivatives appearing in the power-variation based estimators may create nontrivial biases, which we compute explicit…
