Within the relativistic quantum field theory, we analyze the differences between the $πN$ reaction models constructed from using (1) three-dimensional reductions of Bethe-Salpeter Equation, (2) method of unitary transformation, and (3) time-ordered perturbation theory. Their relations with the approach based on the dispersion relations of S-matrix theory are dicusssed.
We present an unquenched quark model calculation of the mass shifts of ground-state octet and decuplet baryons due to the coupling to the meson-baryon continuum. The $q\bar{q}$ pair-creation effects are taken explicitly into account through a microscopic, QCD-inspired, quark-antiquark pair- creation mechanism.

We study the multiplicity fluctuation and correlation of identified mesons and baryons formed at the hadronization by the quark combination mechanism in the context of ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions. Based on the statistical method of free quark combination, we derive the two-hadron multiplicity correlations such as meson-meson and meson-baryon correlations, and take the effects of quark number fluctuation at hadronization into account by a Taylor expansion method. After including the decay contributions, we calculate the dynamical fluctuation observable $ν_{dyn}$ for $\text{K}π$, $pπ…
Based on ideas that relate meson and baryon spectrum considering SUSY QM and light front holography, we propose a procedure to obtain LFWF for baryons starting from mesonic ones. We apply a procedure suggested for Gaussian ansatz used to study mesons.
In this paper, we consider an exotic baryon (pentaquark) as a bound state of two-particle systems composed of a baryon (nucleon) and a meson. We used a baryon - meson picture to reduce a complicated five-body problem to a simple two-body problems. The homogeneous Lippmann-Schwinger integral equation is solved in configuration space by using one pion exchange potential. We calculate the masses of pentaquarks $θ_{c}(uudd\bar{c})$, $θ_{b}(uudd\bar{b})$.
A meson-baryon interaction in the charm $+1$, strangeness $-2$ and isospin $0$ sector is built from a t-channel vector meson exchange model employing effective Lagrangians. The implementation of coupled-channel unitarization in the s-wave scattering amplitudes gives rise to two structures that have similar masses and widths to those of the $Ω_c(3050)^0$ and $Ω_c(3090)^0$ states recently observed by the LHCb collaboration. A meson-baryon molecular interpretation of these resonances would assign their spin-parity to be $J^P=1/2^-$.
We explore the possibility that some of the five narrow $Ω_c$ resonances recently observed at LHCb could correspond to pentaquark states, structured as meson-baryon bound states or molecules. The interaction of the low-lying pseudoscalar mesons with the ground-state baryons in the charm $+1$, strangeness $-2$ and isospin 0 sector is built from t-channel vector meson exchange, using effective Lagrangians. The resulting s-wave coupled-channel unitarized amplitudes show the presence of two structures with similar masses and widths to those of the observed $Ω_c(3050)^0$ and $Ω_c(3090)^0$. The iden…
Integral equations for meson-baryon scattering amplitudes are obtained by utilizing time-ordered perturbation theory for a manifestly Lorentz-invariant formulation of baryon chiral perturbation theory. Effective potentials are defined as sums of two-particle irreducible contributions of time-ordered diagrams and the scattering amplitudes are obtained as solutions of integral equations. Ultraviolet renormalizability is achieved by solving integral equations for the leading order amplitude and including higher order corrections perturbatively. As an application of the developed formalism, pion-n…
The validity of SU(4)-flavor symmetry relations of couplings of charmed $D$ mesons to light mesons and baryons is examined with the use of $^3{\rm P}_0$ quark-pair creation model and nonrelativistic quark model wave functions. We focus on the three-meson couplings $ππρ$, $KKρ$ and $DDρ$ and baryon-baryon-meson couplings $NNπ$, $NΛK$ and $NΛ_c D$. It is found that SU(4)-flavor symmetry is broken at the level of 30% in the $DDρ$ tree-meson couplings and 20% in the baryon-baryon-meson couplings. Consequences of these findings for DN cross sections and existence of bound states D-mesons in nuclei …
We consider the meson and baryon production in the quark-gluon plasma as applied to the early Universe and ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions in collider. The essential feature of our investigation is to take into account a potential barrier for quarks under meson and baryon production. We have used the Boltzmann equation to describe kinetic processes of quark fusion. We have derived analytic expressions for solutions of kinetic equations. This permits to find the dependence of reaction rate on a time, temperature, mass and charge of quarks as well as on a string tension connected with the…
In this work we extend our formalism to study meson-baryon interactions by including $s$- and $u$-channel diagrams for pseudoscalar-baryon systems. We study the coupled systems with strangeness $-1$ and focus on studying the isospin-1 resonance(s), especially in the energy region around 1400 MeV. By constraining the model parameters to fit the cross section data available on several processes involving relevant channels, we find resonances in the isoscalar as well as the isovector sector in the energy region around 1400 MeV.
A non-relativistic quark coalescence model is formulated for polarized vector mesons and baryons of spin-1/2 octet and spin-3/2 decuplet. With the spin density matrix, one can compute in a uniform way the polarizations of vector mesons and baryons from those of quarks and antiquarks with explicit momentum dependence. The results are compared to that obtained from kinetic and statistical models for hadrons.
