Modeling glueballs as bound states of transverse constituent gluons allows to understand the main features of the lattice QCD glueball spectrum. In particular it has been shown in previous works that the lightest C-even glueballs can be seen as bound states of two transverse constituent gluons interacting via a funnel potential. In the present study we show that such an effective potential emerges from the available lattice QCD data. Starting from the scalar glueball mass and wave function computed in lattice QCD, we indeed compute the equivalent local potential between two transverse constituent gluons in the scalar channel and show that it is compatible with a funnel shape, where standard values of the parameters are used and where a negative constant has to be added to reproduce the absolute height of the potential. Such a constant could be related to instanton-induced effects in glueballs.
We report on preliminary results for the triple-gluon and the quark-gluon vertex in Landau gauge. Our results are based on two-flavor and quenched lattice QCD calculations for different quark masses, lattice spacings and volumes. We discuss the momentum dependence of some of the vertices's form factors and the deviations from the tree-level form.
It is known the single transverse spin asymmetry in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering can be factorized by a twist-3 distribution function $T_F$, which contains a gluon field strength tensor. With transverse gluon included in the power expansion, we find the gluon field strength tensor can be recovered definitely in soft-gluon-pole contribution at leading order of $α_s$ expansion. This conclusion holds in Feynman and light-cone gauges.
We compute the quark and gluon condensates in $QCD$ with $N$ colors and $N_f$ flavors based on the renormalization group equations and on the knowledge of a single scale $Λ_{QCD}$. For $N=3$ and $N_f=3$ our findings are in the good range for $0.2\leqΛ_{QCD}\leq 0.36$ and in excellent agreement with the results in the literature from sum rules for a value $Λ_{QCD}=0.28$.
We present non-perturbative first-principle results for quark-, gluon- and meson $1$PI correlation functions of two-flavour Landau-gauge QCD in the vacuum. These correlation functions carry the full information about the theory. They are obtained by solving their Functional Renormalisation Group equations in a systematic vertex expansion, aiming at apparent convergence. This work represents a crucial prerequisite for quantitative first-principle studies of the QCD phase diagram and the hadron spectrum within this framework. In particular, we have computed the gluon, ghost, quark and scalar-pse…
We complete the calculation of the three-gluon-emission contribution to the same-hemisphere part of the zero-jettiness soft function at next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order in perturbative QCD.
We present preliminary results on the leading-twist transverse-momentum-dependent (TMD) gluon linearity function, which is directly connected to nucleon transverse-spin asymmetries originating from the density of linearly-polarized gluons. The function is calculated in a spectator-model framework for the parent proton and for the $f$-type gauge-link structure. Our work represents a further step toward the definition of a complete set of gluon TMD distributions at twist-2 that can be used to access the gluon dynamics inside nucleons and nuclei at new-generation colliders.
We calculate the full one-loop SUSY-QCD corrections to stop annihilation into gluons and light quarks including the Sommerfeld enhancement effect and discuss their impact on the neutralino relic density in the MSSM.
We investigate the gluon transverse momentum dependent correlators as Fourier transform of matrix elements of nonlocal operator combinations. At the operator level these correlators include both field strength operators and gauge links bridging the nonlocality. In contrast to the collinear PDFs, the gauge links are no longer unique for transverse momentum dependent PDFs (TMDs) and also Wilson loops lead to nontrivial effects. We look at gluon TMDs for unpolarized, vector and tensor polarized targets. In particular a single Wilson loop operators become important when one considers the small-x l…
We construct the effective model based on QCD with gluon condensate. Under the assumption that the gluons are condensed with the sharp momentum peak in the momentum space, we formulate the effective field theory incorporating both the gluon condensate and the chiral condensate, then study the phase transition on temperature and chemical potential plane with respect to two condensates. We find that the condensates decrease with increasing temperature, which is reliable tendency on the condensate being consistent with the argument of the asymptotic behavior.
