We discuss the bulk properties of QGP produced at RHIC obtained at time of hadronization. We argue that hadronization of quark--gluon plasma occurs at a critical pressure of 82 MeV/fm3, obtained for SPS energy range.

We review strangeness as signature of quark gluon plasma (QGP) and the hadronization process of a QGP fireball formed in relativistic heavy-ion collisions in the entire range of today accessible reaction energies. We discuss energy dependence of the statistical hadronization parameters within the context of fast QGP hadronization. We find that QGP breakup occurs for all energies at the universal hadronization pressure $P = 80\pm 3\,\mathrm{MeV/fm}^3 $.
We compare the reconstructed hadronization conditions in relativistic nuclear collisions in the nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy range 4.7-2760 GeV in terms of temperature and baryon-chemical potential with lattice QCD calculations, by using hadronic multiplicities. This dissertation presents a theoretical study of soft hadron production in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. We explore the principles governing the hadronization of the expanding QGP fireball, and to understand its properties. Much of the ongoing effort is to demonstrate the validity of a QGP hadronization model which describes the particle production data accurately. We argue that recent data on fluctuations observed in heavy ion collisions show non-monotonic behaviour as function of number of participants (or "wounded nucleons") N_W. When interpreted in thermodynamical approach this result can be associated with a possible structure occuring in the corresponding equation of state (EoS). In central Pb-Pb collisions at LHC the multiplicity of particles produced is so high that it should become feasible to examine the nature of transition from the deconfined quark-gluon state to the confined hadron state by methods that rely on the availability of high multiplicity events. We consider four classes of the transition process ranging from critical behavior to totally random behavior, depending on whether or not there is clustering of quarks and on whether or not there is contraction of dense clusters due to confinement. Abundances and $m_\bot$-spectra of strange and other hadronic particles emanating from central 158-200 A GeV reactions between nuclei are found to originate from a thermally equilibrated, deconfined source in chemical non-equilibrium. Physical freeze-out parameters and physical conditions (pressure, specific energy, entropy, and strangeness) are evaluated. Five properties of the source we obtain are as expected for direct hadron emission (hadronization) from a deconfined quark-gluon plasma phase.

This is a brief review of our work describing the hadronization process of a QGP fireball formed in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. We introduce the SHARE method of analysis of hadron multiplicities. Using this tool we describe in consistent continuos manner the yield of all hadrons produced in the available range of reaction energies and centralities. The properties of the fireball final state can be understood by considering all primary hadronic particles. We calculate the bound state properties of $J/ψ$ in a hot and dense QCD plasma using phenomenological potentials augmented by inputs from perturbative QCD. The temperature and density region of study will be relevant in future heavy ion collision experiments at FAIR. We find that the effect of baryon density on the dissociation of $J/ψ$ is small in this regime. However we indicate that if there is a critical end point in the QCD phase diagram then strong density fluctuation will dissociate charmonia near hadronization. We extract chemical freeze-out conditions via a thermal model approach from fluctuation observables measured at RHIC and compare with results from lattice QCD and statistical hadronization model fits. The possible influence of additional critical and non-critical fluctuation sources not accounted for in our analysis is discussed.
We study soft hadron production in relativistic heavy ion collisions in a wide range of reaction energy, 4.8 GeV <sqrt{s_ NN}<200 GeV, and make predictions about yields of particles using the statistical hadronization model. In fits to experimental data, we obtain both statistical parameters as well as physical properties of the hadron source. The general formalism of homogeneous nucleation theory is applied to study the hadronization pattern of the ultra-relativistic quark-gluon plasma (QGP) undergoing a first order phase transition. A coalescence model is proposed to describe the evolution dynamics of hadronic clusters produced in the nucleation process.
