Dark Matter candidates are natural in Technicolor theories. We introduce a general framework allowing to predict signals of Technicolor Dark Matter at colliders and set constraints from earth based experiments such as CDMS and XENON. We show that the associate production of the composite Higgs can lead to relevant signals at the Large Hadron Collider.
We investigate the strongly coupled minimal walking technicolor model (MWT) in the framework of a bottom-up holographic model, where the global $SU(4)$ symmetry breaks to $SO(4)$ subgroup. In the holographic model, we found that 125GeV composite Higgs particles and small Peskin-Takeuchi $S$ parameter can be achieved simultaneously. In addition, the model predicts a large number of particles at the TeV scale, including dark matter candidate Technicolor Interacting Massive Particles (TIMPs). If we consider the dark matter nuclear spin-independent cross-section in the range of $10^{-45}\sim 10 ^ …
We propose novel bosonic Technicolor models augmented by an $SU(2)_R$ gauge group and scalar doublet. Dynamical breaking of $SU(2)_R$ induced by technifermion condensation triggers $SU(2)_L$ breaking via a portal coupling. The scale of the new strong interactions is as high as that of composite Higgs models, and the vacuum stability challenge confronting ordinary bosonic Technicolor models is avoided. Thermal or asymmetric dark matter, whose stability is ensured by a $U(1)_{\rm TB}$ technibaryon symmetry, can be realized. In the latter case, the correct relic density can be reproduced for a wi…
We construct composite and partially composite Higgs models with complex pseudo-Nambu--Goldstone (pNGB) dark matter states from four-dimensional gauge-Yukawa theories with strongly interacting fermions. The fermions are partially gauged under the electroweak symmetry, and the dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking sector is minimal. The pNGB dark matter particle is stable due to a $\mathrm{U}(1)$ technibaryon-like symmetry, also present in the technicolor limit of the models. However, the relic density is particle anti-particle symmetric and due to thermal freeze-out as opposed to the technic…
The lightest electroweak baryon as a topological object is investigated by using a general effective Lagrangian of composite electroweak symmetry breaking and the spin-independent electroweak baryon-nucleon scattering cross section is calculated. We explicitly show the masses of the electroweak baryons and the cross section as functions of the Peskin-Takeuchi $S$ parameter and the ratio of the masses of axial-vector and vector composite bosons. We find that it is acceptable to regard the electroweak baryon as a dark matter candidate and the even number of technicolor is favored.
We propose a novel class of composite models that feature both a technicolor and a composite Higgs vacuum limit, resulting in an asymmetric dark matter candidate. These Techni-Composite Higgs models are based on an extended left-right electroweak symmetry with a pseudo-Nambu Goldstone boson Higgs and stable dark matter candidates charged under a global $\mathrm{U}(1)_X$ symmetry, connected to the baryon asymmetry at high temperatures via the $SU(2)_{\rm R}$ sphaleron. We consider, as explicit examples, four-dimensional gauge theories with fermions charged under a new confining gauge group $G_{…
Dark mesons are bosonic composites of a new, strongly-coupled sector beyond the Standard Model. We consider several dark sectors with fermions that transform under the electroweak group, as arise from a variety of models including strongly-coupled theories of dark matter (e.g., stealth dark matter), bosonic technicolor (strongly-coupled indcued electroweak symmetry breaking), vector-like confinement, etc. We consider theories with two and four flavors under an $SU(N)$ strong group that acquire variously chiral, vector-like, and mixed contributions to their masses. We construct the non-linear s…
Since neither supersymmetry nor dark matter WIMPs have yet been observed, pessimism about their reality has been growing. Here we discuss a new supersymmetric theory and a new dark matter candidate which are naturally consistent with current experimental results, but which imply a plethora of new phenomena awaiting discovery within the foreseeable future.
We introduce an $SU(2)_X^{}$ dark sector without any fermions and then realize a non-abelian kinetic mixing between the dark $SU(2)_X^{}$ gauge fields and the standard model $SU(2)_L^{}\times U(1)_Y^{}$ gauge fields. While one of the dark gauge bosons becomes a dark photon, the others can keep stable to form a dark matter particle. The nearly degenerate masses of dark photon and dark matter could be tested if the dark photon and the dark matter are both observed in the future.
