The conical structure around the away-side jets is discussed. The equations of in-medium gluodynamics are proposed. Their classical lowest order solution is explicitly shown for a color charge moving with constant speed. For nuclear permittivity larger than 1 it describes the shock wave induced by emission of Cherenkov gluons. The values of real and imaginary parts of nuclear permittivity are estimated from fits of RHIC data. Specific effects at LHC energies are described.

Soft gluons away from jets: distribution and correlation

Recently, an exact conformal mapping between soft gluons emitted from jets at large angle in e+e- annihilation and those in the BFKL evolution of a high energy hadron has been proposed. We elucidate some remarkable aspects of this correspondence and use them to analytically compute the distribution and correlation of gluons in the interjet region. We also establish the timelike counterpart of Mueller's dipole model and discuss the resulting linear and nonlinear evolution equations.

Influence of quenched jets on di-hadron correlations

A simple jet absorption model is used to study the influence of hadron pairs produced by quenched jets, on di-hadron angular correlations at intermediate transverse momentum ($p_T$). We demonstrate that such pairs can dominate both the yield and the shape of angular correlations, and may account for the similar properties between the near-side "ridge" and the away-side "double-humped" structure seen in recent data. Jets propagation through a hadron-string medium

Di-jet correlations in nucleus-nucleus collisions are studied within the Hadron-String-Dynamics (HSD) transport approach taking into account the reaction of the medium on the jet energy loss nonperturbatively. A comparison with the STAR and PHENIX data in central Au+Au collisions at the RHIC energy $\sqrt{s}=200$ GeV is performed differentially, i.e. with respect to correlations in azimuthal angle $Δϕ$ and pseudorapidity $Δη$. Momentum transport away from a jet in an expanding nuclear medium

We study the transport dynamics of momenta deposited from jets in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions. Assuming that the high-energy partons traverse expanding quark-gluon fluids and are subject to lose their energy and momentum, we simulate dijet asymmetric events by solving relativistic hydrodynamic equations numerically without linearization in the fully (3+1)-dimensional coordinate. Parton shower evolution in medium and nuclear modification of photon-tagged jets in Pb+Pb collisions at the LHC

We study the medium modification of jets correlated with large transverse momentum photons at the LHC via a transport and perturbative QCD hybrid model which incorporates the contributions from both elastic collisions and radiative energy loss experienced by the parton showers. Deflected Jets Can Not Explain the Double-Hump Structure in Triggered Correlations in Heavy-Ion Collisions

Di-Jet Conical Correlations Associated with Heavy Quark Jets in anti--de Sitter Space/Conformal Field Theory Correspondence

We show that far zone Mach and diffusion wake ``holograms'' produced by supersonic strings in anti--de Sitter space/conformal field theory (AdS/CFT) correspondence do not lead to observable conical angular correlations in the strict $N_c\to\infty$ supergravity limit if Cooper-Frye hadronization is assumed. Resolving the spacetime structure of jets with medium

Away from the strictly soft and collinear limit of QCD radiation the choice of evolution scale in a parton shower algorithm is ambiguous and several options have been implemented in existing Monte Carlo event generators for proton-proton collisions. The effect of triangular flow on di-hadron azimuthal correlations in relativistic heavy ion collisions

Using the AMPT model for relativistic heavy ion collisions, we have studied the di-hadron azimuthal angular correlations triggered by emitted jets in Au+Au collisions at center of mass energy $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=200$ GeV and impact parameter $b=8$ fm. Jet Energy Loss and Mach Cones in pQCD vs. AdS/CFT

We compare away-side hadron correlations with respect to tagged heavy quark jets computed within a weakly coupled pQCD and a strongly coupled AdS/CFT model. While both models feature similar far zone Mach and diffusion wakes, the far zone stress features are shown to be too weak to survive thermal broadening at hadron freeze-out.
