Fibrations with noncommutative fibers

We study an analogue of fibrations of topological spaces with the homotopy lifting property in the setting of C*-algebra bundles. We then derive an analogue of the Leray-Serre spectral sequence to compute the K-theory of the fibration in terms of the cohomology of the base and the K-theory of the fibres. We present many examples which show that fibrations with noncommutative fibres appear in abundance in nature.

Chern numbers for two families of noncommutative Hopf fibrations

We consider noncommutative line bundles associated with the Hopf fibrations of SUq(2) over all Podles spheres and with a locally trivial Hopf fibration of S^3_{pq}. These bundles are given as finitely generated projective modules associated via 1-dimensional representations of U(1) with Galois-type extensions encoding the principal fibrations of SUq(2) and S^3_{pq}. We show that the Chern numbers of these modules coincide with the winding numbers of representations defining them.

Category of Noncommutative CW Complexes. II

We introduce in this paper the notion of noncommutative Serre fibration (shortly, NCSF) and show that up to homotopy, every NCCW complex morphism is some noncommutative Serre fibration. We then deduce a six-term exact sequence for the periodic cyclic homology and for K-theory of an arbitrary noncommutative Serre fibration. We also show how to use this technique to compute K-theory and cyclic theory of some noncommutative quotients.

Noncommutative Fibrations

We show that faithfully flat smooth extensions are reduced flat, and therefore, fit into the Jacobi-Zariski exact sequence in Hochschild homology and cyclic (co)homology even when the algebras are noncommutative or infinite dimensional. We observe that such extensions correspond to étale maps of affine schemes, and we propose a definition for generic noncommutative fibrations using distributive laws and homological properties of the induction and restriction functors. We prove in this paper a noncommutative version of Leray Spectral Sequence Theorem and then Leray-Serre Spectral Theorem for noncommutative Serre fibrations: for NC Serre fibration there are converging spectral sequences with $\E^2$ terms as $\E^2_{p,q} = \HP_p(A; \HP_q(B,A)) \Longrightarrow \HP_{p+q}(B)$ and $\E^2_{p,q} = \HP_p(A;\K_q(B,A)) \Longrightarrow \K_{p+q}(B)$.

Some applications for Fadell-Dold theorm in fibration theory by using homotopy groups

The purpose of this paper is to give some solutions for the classification problem in fibration theory by using the homotopy sequences of fibrations (sequences of $n$-th homotopy groups $ π_{n}(S,s_{o}) $ of total spaces of fibrations). In particular, to show the role of homotopy sequence of $n$-th homotopy to get the required fiber map in Fadell-Dold theorem such that the restriction of this fiber map on some fiber spaces is a homotopy equivalence.

On classifying Hurewicz fibrations and fibre bundles over polyhedron bases

The refined transfer, bundle structures and algebraic K-theory

We give new homotopy theoretic criteria for deciding when a fibration with homotopy finite fibers admits a reduction to a fiber bundle with compact topological manifold fibers. The criteria lead to a new and unexpected result about homeomorphism groups of manifolds. A tool used in the proof is a surjective splitting of the assembly map for Waldhausen's functor A(X).
