Dynamical models of prototype gravastars are constructed and studied. The models are the Visser-Wiltshire three-layer gravastars, in which an infinitely thin spherical shell of a perfect fluid with the equation of state $p = (1-γ)σ$ divides the whole spacetime into two regions, where the internal region is de Sitter, and the external is Schwarzschild. When $γ< 1$ and $Λ\not= 0$, it is found that in some cases the models represent stable gravastars, and in some cases they represent "bounded excursion" stable gravastars, where the thin shell is oscillating between two finite radii, while in some other cases they collapse until the formation of black holes. However, when $γ\ge 1$, even with $Λ\not= 0$, only black holes are found. In the phase space, the region for both stable gravastars and "bounded excursion" gravastars is very small in comparison to that of black holes, although it is not completely empty.

This paper explores the possible existence of stable regions of bounded excursion gravastars in the background of regular black holes (Bardeen and Bardeen-de Sitter black holes). For this purpose, we match internal de Sitter geometry with an external regular black hole through an intermediate shell with an equation of state. The matter surface located at the shell greatly affects the dynamical configuration of the shell. We consider stiff and dust fluids to discuss the outcomes of the developed structures. We then determine the critical values of physical parameters at which the shell neither …
Here we constructed a charged gravastar model formed by an interior de Sitter spacetime, a charged dynamical infinitely thin shell with an equation of state and an exterior de Sitter-Reissner-Nordström spacetime. We find that the presence of the charge is crucial to the stability of these structures. It can as much favor the stability of a bounded excursion gravastar, and still converting it in a stable gravastar, as make disappear a stable gravastar, depending on the range of the charge considered. There is also formation of black holes and, above certain values, the presence of the charge al…
Here we generalized a previous model of gravastar consisted of an internal de Sitter spacetime, a dynamical infinitely thin shell with an equation of state, but now we consider an external de Sitter-Schwarzschild spacetime. We have shown explicitly that the final output can be a black hole, a "bounded excursion" stable gravastar, a stable gravastar, or a de Sitter spacetime, depending on the total mass of the system, the cosmological constants, the equation of state of the thin shell and the initial position of the dynamical shell. We have found that the exterior cosmological constant imposes …
We consider a gravastar model made of anisotropic dark energy with an infinitely thin spherical shell of a perfect fluid with the equation of state $p = (1-γ)σ$ with an external de Sitter-Schwarzschild region. It is found that in some cases the models represent the "bounded excursion" stable gravastars, where the thin shell is oscillating between two finite radii, while in other cases they collapse until the formation of black holes or naked singularities. An interesting result is that we can have black hole and stable gravastar formation even with an interior and a shell cons tituted of dark …

Dynamical models of prototype gravastars made of anisotropic dark energy are constructed, in which an infinitely thin spherical shell of a perfect fluid with the equation of state $p = (1-γ)σ$ divides the whole spacetime into two regions, the internal region filled with a dark energy fluid, and the external Schwarzschild region. The models represent "bounded excursion" stable gravastars, where the thin shell is oscillating between two finite radii, while in other cases they collapse until the formation of black holes. Here we show, for the first time in the literature, a model of gravastar and…
In this paper, we show that it is possible to have pure quantum gravastar solution to the quantum improved Einstein equations. Such an object is essentially a gravastar in which the thin layer of matter is replaced by quantum effects. The metric of a pure quantum gravastar is obtained and its stability is discussed.
We present a new model of gravastar in the higher dimensional Einsteinian spacetime including Einstein's cosmological constant $Λ$. Following Mazur and Mottola (2001,~2004) we obtain a set of solutions for gravastar. This gravastar is described by three different regions, namely, (I) Interior region, (II) Intermediate thin spherical shell and (III) Exterior region. The pressure within the interior region is equal to the negative matter density which provides a repulsive force over the shell. This thin shell is formed by ultra relativistic plasma, where the pressure is directly proportional to …
Gravastar models have recently been proposed as an alternative to black holes, mainly to avoid the pro\-ble\-ma\-tic issues associated with event horizons and singularities. In this work, a regular variety of gravastar models within the context of Einstein-Born-Infeld (EBI) nonlinear electrodynamics are builded. These models presented here are truly regular in the sense that both the metric and its derivatives are continuous throughout space-time, contrary to other cases in the literature where matching conditions are necessary in the interior and exterior regions of the event horizon. We inve…
In this paper, model of charged gravastar under $f(T)$ modified gravity is obtained. The model has been explored by taking the diagonal tetrad field of static spacetime together with electric charge. To solve the Einstein-Maxwell field equations, along with $f(T)$ gravity, we assume the existence of a conformal Killing vector which relates between geometry and matter through the Einstein-Maxwell field equations by an inheritance symmetry. We study several cases of interest to explore physically valid features of the solutions. Some physical properties of the model are discussed and we match ou…
The existence of cosmological compact objects with very strong gravity is a prediction of General Relativity and an exact solution of the Einstein equations. These objects are called black holes and recently we had the first observations of them. However, the theory of black hole formation has some disadvantages. In order to avoid these, some scientists suggest the existence of gravastars (gravitation vacuum stars), an alternative stellar model which seems to solve the problems of the black hole theory. In this work we compare black holes and gravastars using a wide range of the literature and…
In this work, we discuss the configuration of a gravastar (gravitational vacuum stars) in the context of $f(R, \,T )$ gravity by employing the Mazur-Mottola conjecture [P. Mazur and E. Mottola, Report No. LA-UR-01-5067; P. Mazur and E. Mottola, Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA $101$, $9545$ ($2004$)]. Gravastar is conceptually a substitute for a black hole theory as available in literature and it has three regions with different equation of states. By assuming that the gravastar geometry admits conformal killing vector, the Einstein-Maxwell field equations have been solved in different regions of gr…
In this paper we investigate the gravitational vacuum stars which called gravastars in the non-minimally coupled models with electromagnetic and gravitational fields. We consider two non-minimal models and find the corresponding spherically symmetric exact solutions in the interior of the star consisting of the dark energy condensate. Our models turn out to be Einstein-Maxwell model at the outside of the star and the solutions become the Reissner-Nordstr{ö}m solution. The physical quantities of these models are continuous and non-singular in some range of parameters and the exterior geometry c…
Estimating the mass of the thin shell of gravastars in generalised cylindrically symmetric space-time within the framework of Rastall theory of gravity
We consider a model of Bose-Einstein condensate of weakly interacting off-shell gravitons in the regime that is far from the quantum critical point. Working in static spherically symmetric setup, recent study has demonstrated that the effective spacetime geometry of this condensate is a gravastar. In this paper we make three generalizations: introducing a composite of two sets of off-shell gravitons with different wavelength to enable richer geometries for the interior and exterior spacetimes, working in $f({\mathcal R})$ gravity, and extending the calculations to higher dimensions. We find th…
New solutions for $(2+1)$-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell space-time are found for a static spherically symmetric charged fluid distribution with the additional condition of allowing conformal killing vectors (CKV). We discuss physical properties of the fluid parameters. Moreover, it is shown that the model actually represents two structures, namely (i) Gravastar as an alternative of black hole and (ii) Electromagnetic Mass model depending on the nature of the equation state of the fluid. Here the gravitational mass originates from electromagnetic field alone. The solutions are matched with the e…
The tidal Love numbers (TLNs) encode the deformability of a self-gravitating object immersed in a tidal environment and depend significantly both on the object's internal structure and on the dynamics of the gravitational field. An intriguing result in classical general relativity is the vanishing of the TLNs of black holes. We extend this result in three ways, aiming at testing the nature of compact objects: (i) we compute the TLNs of exotic compact objects, including different families of boson stars, gravastars, wormholes, and other toy models for quantum corrections at the horizon scale. I…
The stability and other physical properties of a class of regular black holes, quasiblack holes, and other electrically charged compact objects are investigated in the present work. The compact objects are obtained by solving the Einstein-Maxwell system of equations assuming spherical symmetry in a static spacetime. The spacetime is split in two regions by a spherical surface of coordinate radius $a$. The interior region contains a nonisotropic charged fluid with a de Sitter type equation of state, $p_r = -ρ_m$, $p_r$ and $ρ_m$ being respectively the radial pressure and the energy density of t…
