We derive the spectra of the D_N-type Calogero (rational) su(m) spin model, including the degeneracy factors of all energy levels. By taking the strong coupling limit of this model, in which its spin and dynamical degrees of freedom decouple, we compute the exact partition function of the su(m) Polychronakos-Frahm spin chain of D_N type. With the help of this partition function we study several statistical properties of the chain's spectrum, such as the density of energy levels and the distribution of spacings between consecutive levels.

Fermions in two dimensions, bosonization, and exactly solvable models

We discuss interacting fermion models in two dimensions, and, in particular, such that can be solved exactly by bosonization. One solvable model of this kind was proposed by Mattis as an effective description of fermions on a square lattice. We review recent work on a specific relation between a variant of Mattis' model and such a lattice fermion system, as well as the exact solution of this model. The background for this work includes well-established results for one-dimensional systems and the high-Tc problem. We also mention exactly solvable extensions of Mattis' model.

Quasi exactly solvable extension of Calogero model associated with exceptional orthogonal polynomials

By using the technique of supersymmetric quantum mechanics, we study a quasi exactly solvable extension of the N-particle rational Calogero model with harmonic confining interaction. Such quasi exactly solvable many particle system, whose effective potential in the radial direction yields a supersymmetric partner of the radial harmonic oscillator, is constructed by including new long-range interactions to the rational Calogero model. Exactly-Solvable Models Derived from a Generalized Gaudin Algebra

We introduce a generalized Gaudin Lie algebra and a complete set of mutually commuting quantum invariants allowing the derivation of several families of exactly solvable Hamiltonians. Three magnons in an isotropic $S=1$ ferromagnetic chain as an exactly solvable non-integrable system

It is shown that a generalization of Bethe Ansatz based on an utilization of {\it degenerative discrete-diffractive} wave functions solves the three-magnon problem for the $S=1$ isotropic ferromagnetic infinite chain. The four-magnon problem is briefly discussed.

Exactly Solvable 1D Quantum Models with Gamma Matrices

In this paper, we write exactly solvable generalizations of 1-dimensional quantum XY and Ising-like models by using $2^d$-dimensional Gamma ($Γ$) matrices as the degrees of freedom on each site. We show that these models result in quadratic Fermionic Hamiltonians with Jordan-Wigner like transformations. We illustrate the techniques using a specific case of 4-dimensional $Γ$ matrices and explore the quantum phase transitions present in the model.

A Class of Exactly Solvable Pairing Models

We present three classes of exactly solvable models for fermion and boson systems, based on the pairing interaction. These models are solvable in any dimension. As an example we show the first results for fermion interacting with repulsive pairing forces in a two dimensional square lattice. Inspite of the repulsive pairing force the exact results show attractive pair correlations.

Induced Luttinger Liquid Behavior in an Exactly Solvable Model of Stripes

We study an exactly solvable model describing a stripe consisting of a Toda array of $N$ anharmonic elastic chains sandwiched between two conducting chains. It is shown that the presence of a charge on one chain generates a gapless excitation branch (Luttinger liquid) on the other and leads to increase in the phonon frequencies.

Exactly solvable model of Fermi arcs and pseudogap

We introduce a very simple and exactly solvable model that supports Fermi arcs in its ground state and excitation spectrum. These arcs come in pairs, and merge into what we call a pseudo Fermi surface along which fermions are gapped; this fermion gap is naturally identified as a pseudogap. Comparison will be made with phenomenology of high temperature cuprate superconductors.

Algebraic spin liquid in an exactly solvable spin model

We have proposed an exactly solvable quantum spin-3/2 model on a square lattice. Its ground state is a quantum spin liquid with a half integer spin per unit cell. The fermionic excitations are gapless with a linear dispersion, while the topological "vison" excitations are gapped. Moreover, the massless Dirac fermions are stable. Thus, this model is, to the best of our knowledge, the first exactly solvable model of half-integer spins whose ground state is an "algebraic spin liquid."

An exactly solvable BCS-Hubbard Model in arbitrary dimensions

We introduce in this paper an exact solvable BCS-Hubbard model in arbitrary dimensions. The model describes a p-wave BCS superconductor with equal spin pairing moving on a bipartite (cubic, square etc.) lattice with on site Hubbard interaction $U$. We show that the model becomes exactly solvable for arbitrary $U$ when the BCS pairing amplitude $Δ$ equals the hopping amplitude $t$. The nature of the solution is described in detail in this paper. Symmetry breaking in self-consistent models: Lessons from an exactly solvable many-fermion model

This work presents a many-fermion Hamiltonian with the following properties: 1) is exactly solvable, 2) has a second order insulator-metal quantum phase transition, 3) has a well defined mean field approximation and 4) its mean-field ground state displays a liquid-solid transition. The phenomenon of symmetry breaking in fermionic self-consistent models is discussed in the light of these remarkable properties of the many-body model.

Exactly Solvable Ginzburg-Landau theories of Superconducting Order Parameters coupled to Elastic Modes

We consider two families of exactly solvable models describing thermal fluctuations in two-dimensional superconductors coupled to phonons living in an insulating layer, and study the stability of the superconducting state with respect to vortices. The two families are characterized by one or two superconducting planes. The results suggest that the effective critical temperature increases with the thickness of the insulating layer. Also the presence of the additional superconducting layer has the same effect.
