Using recent results obtained within the hidden gauge formalism for vector mesons, in which the $f_0(1370)$ and $f_2(1270)$ resonances are dynamically generated resonances from the $ρρ$ interaction, we evaluate the radiative decay of these resonances into $γγ$. We obtain results for the width in good agreement with the experimental data for the $f_2(1270)$ state and a width about a factor five smaller for the $f_0(1370)$ resonance, which would agree with preliminary results from the Belle collaboration, hinting at an order of magnitude smaller width for this resonance than for the $f_2(1270)$.
The radiative decay of the axial-vector resonances into a pseudoscalar meson and a photon is studied using the vector meson Lagrangian obtained from the hidden gauge symmetry (HGS) formalism. The formalism is well suited to study this problem since it deals with pseudoscalar and vector mesons in a unified way, respecting chiral invariance. We show explicitly the gauge invariance of the set of diagrams that appear in the approach and evaluate the radiative decay width of the a1(1260) and b1(1235) axial vector meson resonances into pi gamma. We also include the contribution of loops involving an…
We present the formalism for the decay of dynamically generated scalar mesons with open- or hidden-charm and give results for the decay of D^*_{s0} (2317) to γD_s^* plus that of a hidden charm scalar meson state predicted by the theory around 3700 MeV decaying into γJ/ψ.
In this short note, we revisit the model of a CP-even singlet scalar resonance proposed in arXiv:1507.02483, where the resonance appears as the lightest composite state made of scalar quarks participating in hidden strong dynamics. We show that the model can consistently explain the excess of diphoton events with an invariant mass around 750GeV reported by both the ATLAS and CMS experiments. We also discuss the nature of the charged composite states in the TeV range which accompany to the neutral scalar. Due to inseparability of the dynamical scale and the mass of the resonance, the model also…
We study composite systems of light ($ρ$ and $ω$) and heavy ($D^*$) vector mesons by using the interaction within the hidden gauge formalism. We find a strong attraction in the isospin, spin channels $(I,S)=(1/2,0)$; $(1/2,1)$; $(1/2,2)$ with positive parity. The attraction is large enough to strongly bind these mesons in states with these quantum numbers, leading to states which can be identified with $D_2^*(2460)$ and probably with $D^*(2640)$, the last one without experimental spin and parity assignment. In the case of $I=3/2$ one obtains repulsion and thus, no exotic mesons in this sector …
A SU(4) flavor symmetrical Lagrangian is constructed for the interaction of the pseudo-scalar mesons with the vector mesons. SU(4) symmetry is broken to SU(3) by suppression of terms in the Lagrangian where the interaction should be driven by charmed mesons. Chiral symmetry can be restored by setting this new SU(4) symmetry breaking parameters to zero. Unitarization in coupled channels leads to the dynamical generation of resonances. Many known axial resonances can be identified including the new controversial X(3872) and the structure found recently by Belle around 3875 MeV in the hidden char…
We investigate the discovery potential of the predicted neutral hidden beauty $N^*(11052)$ resonance through $π^- p$ scattering within an effective Lagrangian approach. Two reactions $π^-p\rightarrow K^-Σ^+$ and $π^-p\rightarrow η_bn$ are studied in this work, with nucleon pole exchange as the background. It is found that the contributions of the $N^*(11052)$ resonance give clear peak structures in the magnitude of 1 $μb$ near the threshold of the $N^*(11052)$ in the total cross sections. The numerical results indicate that the center of mass energy $W\simeq$ 11-11.1 GeV would be a best energy…
We study N and $Δ$ hidden-charm baryon resonances that are generated dynamically from the s-wave interaction of pseudoscalar and vector mesons with $1/2^+$ and $3/2^+$ baryons. We use a unitary coupled-channels model that fulfills heavy-quark spin symmetry and respects spin-flavor symmetry in the light sector. We predict seven N-like and five $Δ$-like states with masses around 4 GeV, most of them as bound states. Some of these states form heavy-quark spin multiplets, which are almost degenerate in mass.
We apply a unitary approach together with a set of hidden-gauge Lagrangians to study the vector-vector interaction. We study the case of the $ρ$($ω$)$D^*$ interaction within the model. In $I=1/2$ we get strong enough attraction to bind the system. Concretely, we get one resonance for each spin $J=0,1,2$. For J=1 and 2 these resonances can be easily identified with the $D^*(2460)$ and $D^*(2640)$. Whereas the state for J=0 with mass $M\sim2600$ MeV is a prediction of the model. In $I=3/2$ we get a repulsive interaction and hence no exotic dynamically generated states.
In this work, the mass and pole residue of resonance $Y_b$ is studied by using QCD sum rules approach at finite temperature. Resonance $Y_b$ is described by a diquark-antidiquark tetraquark current, and contributions to operator product expansion are calculated by including QCD condensates up to dimension six. Temperature dependences of the mass $m_{Y_b}$ and the pole residue $λ_{Y_b}$ are investigated. It is seen that near a critical temperature $(T_c\simeq190~\mathrm{MeV})$, the values of $m_{Y_b}$ and $λ_{Y_b}$ are decreased to $87\%$, and to $44\%$ of their values at vacuum.
We employ an effective Lagrangian approach and isobar model to investigate the role of the $N^*_{c\bar{c}}(4261)$ resonance with hidden charm in the $π^- p \to J/ψn$ reaction. The total and differential cross sections of this reaction are predicted by including contributions from both $N^*_{c\bar{c}}(4261)$ and nucleon pole. It is found that the maximal value of the total cross section can exceed 11 $μb$ and a clear $N^*_{c\bar{c}}(4261)$ peak is visible there, well distinguished from background. As center-of-mass energy increases to about 4.8 GeV, the background makes the differential cross s…
We study the relation of vector Proca field formalism and antisymmetric tensor field formalism for spin-one resonances in the context of the large N_C inspired chiral resonance Lagrangian systematically up to the order O(p6) and give a transparent prescription for the transition from vector to antisymmetric tensor Lagrangian and vice versa. We also discuss the possibility to describe the spin-one resonances using an alternative "mixed" first order formalism, which includes both types of fields simultaneously, and compare this one with the former two. We also briefly comment on the compatibilit…
In the framework of quark delocalization color screening model, both the hidden-charm and hidden-bottom pentaquark resonances are studied in the hadron-hadron scattering process. A few narrow pentaquark resonances with hidden-charm above $4.2$ GeV, and some narrow pentaquark resonances with hidden-bottom above $11$ GeV are found from corresponding scattering processes. Besides, the states $Nη_{c}$, $NJ/ψ$, $Nη_{b}$ and $NΥ$ with $IJ^{P}=\frac{1}{2}\frac{1}{2}^{-}$, as well as $NJ/ψ$ and $NΥ$ with $IJ^{P}=\frac{1}{2}\frac{3}{2}^{-}$ are all possible to be bound by channel-coupling calculation. …
Inspired by the newly $Z_{cs}(3985)^-$ reported by the BESIII Collaboration in the $K^+$ recoil-mass spectrum of the of $e^+e^-\to (D^{*0}D_s^-/D^0D_s^{*-})K^+$ processes, we perform a dynamical study on the $D^{(*)0}D_s^{*-}$ interactions by adopting a one-boson-exchange model and considering the coupled channel effect. After producing the phase shifts for all the discussed channels, our results exclude the newly $Z_{cs}(3985)^-$ as a $D^{*0}D_s^{-}/D^{0}D_s^{*-}/D^{*0}D_s^{*-}$ resonance with $I(J^P)=1/2(1^+, 0^-, 1^-, 2^-)$.
Identifying a zero-range exchange of vector mesons as the driving force for the s-wave scattering of pseudo-scalar mesons off the baryon ground states, a rich spectrum of hadronic nuclei is formed. We argue that chiral symmetry and large-$N_c$ considerations determine that part of the interaction which generates the spectrum. We suggest the existence of strongly bound crypto-exotic baryons, which contain a charm-anti-charm pair. Such states are narrow since they can decay only via OZI-violating processes.
Very recently, LHCb experiment announced the observation of hidden-charm pentaquark states $P_c(4312)$, $P_c(4440)$, and $P_c(4457)$ near the $ Σ_c \bar{D}$ and $ Σ_c \bar{D}^\ast$ thresholds, respectively. In this present work, we studied thesepentaquarks in the framework of the nonrelativistic quark model with four types of potential. We solved 5-body Schrödinger equation by using artificial neural network method and made predictions of parities for these states which are not determined in the experiment yet. The mass of another possible pentaquark state near the $\bar{D}^\ast Σ_c^\ast$ with…
We have studied the interaction of vectors mesons within the hidden gauge formalism and applied it to the particular case of the $ρρ$ interaction. We find a strong attraction in the isospin, spin channels I,S=0,0 and 0,2, which is enough to bind the $ρρ$ system. We also find that the attraction in the I,S=0,2 channel is much stronger than in the 0,0 case. The states develop a width when the $ρ$ mass distribution is considered, and particularly when the $ππ$ decay channel is turned on. Using a regularization scheme with cut offs of natural size, we obtain results in fair agreement with the mass…
The meson-baryon coupled channel unitary approach with the local hidden gauge formalism is extended to the hidden beauty sector. A few narrow $N^*$ and $Λ^*$ resonances around 11 GeV are predicted as dynamically generated states from the interactions of heavy beauty mesons and baryons. Production cross sections of these predicted resonances in $pp$ and $ep$ collisions are estimated as a guide for the possible experimental search at relevant facilities.
We present covariant predictions of relativistic constituent quark models for pi and eta decay widths of N and Delta resonances. The results are calculated for a model decay operator within the point-form spectator approximation. It is found that most theoretical values underestimate the experimental data considerably.
We present a recent study of vector meson-vector meson interaction using a unitary approach based on the hidden-gauge Lagrangians. We find that 11 states get dynamically generated, corresponding to poles of the scattering matrices on the second Riemann sheet. Five of them are associated to the $f_0(1370)$, $f_0(1710)$, $f_2(1270)$, $f_2'(1525)$, and $K^*_2(1430)$, by comparing the mass, width, and decay pattern of these states with those of their experimental counterparts. Six others with the quantum numbers of $h_1$, $a_0$, $b_1$, $a_2$, $K^*_0$, and $K_1$ can not be clearly identified with a…
In the framework of quark delocalization color screening model, the three new reported pentaquarks $P_{c}(4312)$, $P_{c}(4440)$, and $P_{c}(4457)$ can be identified as the hidden-charm molecular states $Σ_{c}D$ with $J^{P}=\frac{1}{2}^{-}$, $Σ_{c}D^{*}$ with $J^{P}=\frac{3}{2}^{-}$, and $Σ_{c}D^{*}$ with $J^{P}=\frac{1}{2}^{-}$, in the baryon-meson scattering process, respectively. Besides, the $Σ^{*}_{c}D^{*}$ of both $J^{P}=\frac{1}{2}^{-}$ and $J^{P}=\frac{3}{2}^{-}$ are also possible molecular pentaquarks. Moreover, the calculation is extended to the $P_{c}-$like molecular pentaquarks $P_{…
We will study open and hidden charm scalar meson resonances within two different models. The first one is a direct application of a chiral Lagrangian already used to study flavor symmetry breaking in Skyrme models. In another approach to the problem a SU(4) symmetric Lagrangian is built and the symmetry is broken down to SU(3) by identifying currents where heavy mesons are exchanged and suppressing those. Unitarization in couple channels leads to dynamical generation of resonances in both models, in particular a new hidden charm resonance with mass 3.7 GeV is predicted. The small differences b…
Equivalence of the hidden local symmetry formulation with non-minimal interactions and the anti-symmetric tensor field method of $ρ$ and $a_1$ mesons in the chiral lagrangian is shown by using the auxiliary field method. Violation of the KSRF I relation, which becomes important in the application of chiral lagrangian to {\em non QCD-like} technicolor models can be parametrized by non-minimal coupling in the hidden local symmetry formalism keeping low energy theorem of hidden local symmetry. We also obtain explicit correspondence of parameters in both formulations.
Today it is widely believed that $s$-channel excitation of an on-shell~$W$ boson, commonly known as the Glashow resonance, can be initiated in matter only by the electron antineutrino in the process $\barν_ee^-\rightarrow W^-$ at the laboratory energy around~6.3~PeV. In this paper we argue that the Glashow resonance within the Standard Model also occurs in neutrino--nucleus collisions. The main conclusions are as follows. 1)~The Glashow resonance can be excited by both~neutrinos and~antineutrinos of all the three flavors scattering in the Coulomb field of a nucleus. 2)~The Glashow resonance in…
In this work we present our model that dynamically generates resonances from charmed and light pseudoscalar and vector mesons. The model generates a rich spectrum of charmed and hidden charm scalar and axial resonances, most of them which can be associated with observed states. Other states are predicted, in particular a hidden charm scalar resonance with mass close to the $D\bar D$ threshold. For this resonance we present calculations which show that an observed enhancement in the $D\bar D$ mass spectrum measured by Belle in reactions producing $D\bar D J/ψ$ in the final state could be origin…
In Veltman's original view, the Standard Model with a large Higgs particle mass of about 1 TeV was the natural completion of non-renormalizable Glashow model. This mass was thus a second threshold for weak interactions, as the W mass was for the non-renormalizable 4-fermion V-A theory. Today, after the observation of the narrow scalar resonance at 125 GeV, Veltman's large-mass idea seems to be ruled out. Yet, this is not necessarily true. Depending on the description of SSB in $Φ^4$ theory, and by combining analytic calculations and lattice simulations, besides the known particle at 125 GeV, a…
We propose a new explanation for excess events observed in the search for a high-mass resonance decaying into dibosons by the ATLAS experiment. The resonance is identified as a composite spin-$0$ particle that couples to the Standard Model gauge bosons via dimension-5 operators. The excess events can be explained if the dimension-5 operators are suppressed by a mass scale of ${\cal O}(1$-$10$) TeV. We also construct a model of hidden strong gauge dynamics which realizes the spin-$0$ particle as its lightest composite state, with appropriate couplings to Standard Model gauge bosons.
We develop a model to describe odd parity baryon resonances generated dynamically through a unitary baryon-meson coupled-channels approach. The scheme applies to channels with light and/or heavy quark content. Distinct features of the model are that, i) the interaction is an S-wave contact one, ii) it reduces to the SU(3) Weinberg-Tomozawa Hamiltonian when light pseudoscalar mesons are involved, thus, respecting chiral symmetry, iii) spin-flavor in preserved in the light quark sector, and iv) heavy quark spin symmetry is fulfilled in the heavy quark sector. In particular, baryon-meson states w…
We report on some ideas concerning the nature of the X(3872) resonance and the need for approximately equal charged and neutral components of $D \bar{D}^* +cc$. Then we discuss how some hidden charm states are obtained from the interaction between vector mesons with charm and can be associated to some of the charmonium-like X,Y,Z states. Finally we discuss how the nature of these states could be investigated through different types of radiative decay.
Electro-production of several pentaquark states is investigated in this paper. eSTARlight package is adapted to study the electro-production of $J/ψ$ and $Υ(1S)$ via pentaquark $P_c$ and $P_b$ resonance channels in $e p \to e eJ/ψp$ and $e p \to eΥ(1S) p$ scattering processes at proposed electron-ion colliders (EICs). The results in this paper are compared to the non-resonance $t$-channels, which is described in pomeron exchange model in our studies. Some pseudo-rapidity distributions rapidity distributions of $J/ψ$ and $Υ(1S)$ are presented for proposed EICs including EicC and EIC-US. It is f…
The interactions of $\bar{D}Σ_{c}$-$\bar DΛ_c$, $\bar{D}^{*}Σ_{c}$-$\bar D^*Λ_c$, and related strangeness channels, are studied within the framework of the coupled channel unitary approach with the local hidden gauge formalism. A series of meson-baryon dynamically generated relatively narrow $N^*$ and $Λ^*$ resonances are predicted around 4.3 GeV in the hidden charm sector. We make estimates of production cross sections of these predicted resonances in $\bar{p} p $ collisions for PANDA at the forthcoming FAIR facility.
We study the properties of the scalar charm resonances $D_{s0}(2317)$ and $D_0(2400)$, and the theoretical hidden charm state X(3700) in nuclear matter. We find that for the $D_{s0}(2317)$ and X(3700) resonances, with negligible and small width at zero density, respectively, the width becomes about $100 {\rm MeV}$ and $200 {\rm MeV}$ at normal nuclear matter density, accordingly. For $D_0(2400)$ the change in width is relatively less important. We discuss the origin of this new width and trace it to reactions occurring in the nucleus. We also propose a possible experimental test for those modi…
The diphoton excesses at 750 GeV seen in the LHC data may be the first hint for new physics at the TeV scale. We discuss variations of the model considered earlier, in which one or more diphoton excesses arise from composite pseudo Nambu-Goldstone bosons (hidden pions) associated with new strong dynamics at the TeV scale. We study the case in which the 750 GeV excess arises from a unique hidden pion leading to a diphoton final state as well as the case in which it arises from one of the hidden pions decaying into diphotons. We consider SU(N), SO(N), and Sp(N) gauge groups for the strong dynami…
We show that quarkonia-like states of a hidden SU(N) gauge group can account for the 750 GeV diphoton excess observed by ATLAS and CMS, even with constituents carrying standard model hypercharge only. The required hypercharge is modest, varying between about 1.3-1.6 for strong SU(N) coupling, to 2-3 for weak SU(N) coupling, for N=3, 4. This scenario predicts a variety of diphoton and multi-photon resonances, as well as photons from continuum pair production, and possibly exotic decays into standard model fermions, with no multi-jet resonances.
The relativistic four-quark equations are found in the framework of coupled-channel formalism. The dynamical mixing of the meson-meson states with the four-quark states is considered. The four-quark amplitudes of the tetraquarks with hidden bottom, including u, d, s and bottom quarks, are constructed. The poles of these amplitudes determine the masses and widths of tetraquarks.
Recent experiments on $η\to 3π$ decays have provided an extremely precise knowledge of the amplitudes across the Dalitz region which represent stringent constraints on theoretical descriptions. We reconsider an approach in which the low-energy chiral expansion is assumed to be optimally convergent in an unphysical region surrounding the Adler zero, and the amplitude in the physical region is uniquely deduced by an analyticity-based extrapolation using the Khuri-Treiman dispersive formalism. We present an extension of the usual formalism which implements the leading inelastic effects from the $…
The main idea of the first order formalism is demonstrated on a toy example of spin-0 particle. The full formalism for spin-1 is applied to the vector formfactor of the pion and its high-energy behaviour is studied.
The relativistic four-quark equations are found in the framework of coupled-channel formalism. The dynamical mixing of the meson-meson states with the four-quark states is considered. The four-quark amplitudes of the tetraquarks with hidden charm including u, d, s and charmed quarks are constructed. The poles of these amplitudes determine the masses and widths of tetraquarks.
We analyze two recent reactions of Belle, producing $D\bar D$ and $D\bar D^*$ states that have an enhancement of the invariant $D\bar D$, $D\bar D^*$ mass distribution close to threshold, from the point of view that they might be indicative of the existence of a hidden charm scalar and an axial vector meson states below $D\bar D$ or $D\bar D^*$ thresholds, respectively. We conclude that the data is compatible with the existing prediction of a hidden charm scalar meson with mass around 3700 MeV, though other possibilities cannot be discarded. The peak seen in the $D\bar D^*$ spectrum above thre…
In this work, we study the possibility to find $N^*_{c\bar{c}}$ and $Λ^*_{c\bar{c}}$ resonances with hidden charm with mass above 4 GeV in the photon-induced production. The cross sections for the photoproductions of hidden charmed baryons are predicted in the effective Lagrangian approach with the vector meson dominance mechanism. The $N^*(4412)$ can be produced directly by photon excitation with total cross section about 1 nb. The $N^*(4412)$ provides a obvious peak near threshold for $J/ψ$ photoproduction, which is promising to be checked by the future high precision experiment at JLab 12 G…
We study the radiative decay properties of the charmonium-like X, Y and Z mesons generated dynamically from vector meson-vector meson interaction in the framework of a unitarized hidden-gauge formalism. In the present work we calculate the one- and two-photon decay widths of the hidden-charm Y(3940), Z(3930) (or X(3915)) and X(4160) mesons in the framework of the vector meson dominance formalism. We obtain good agreement with experiment in case of the two photon width of the X(3915) which we associate with the $2^+$ resonance that we find at 3922 MeV.
Motivated by the di-photon resonance recently reported by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations at $\sqrt{s} =13$ TeV, we interpret the resonance as a scalar boson $X (750)$ in hidden-valley-like models. The scalar boson $X$ can mix with the standard model Higgs boson and thus can be produced via gluon fusion. It then decays into a pair of very light hidden particles $Y$ of sub-GeV, each of which in turn decays to a pair of collimated $ π^{0} $'s, and these two $ π^{0} $'s decay into photons which then form photon-jets. A photon-jet ($ γ$-jet) is a special feature that consists of a cluster of coll…
We present in detail a dispersion relation formalism for virtual Compton scattering (VCS) off the proton from threshold into the $Δ(1232)$-resonance region. Such a formalism can be used as a tool to extract the generalized polarizabilities of the proton from both unpolarized and polarized VCS observables over a larger energy range. We present calculations for existing and forthcoming VCS experiments and demonstrate that the VCS observables in the energy region between pion production threshold and the $Δ(1232)$-resonance show an enhanced sensitivity to the generalized polarizabilities.
In this presentation I explain our framework for dynamically generating resonances from the meson meson interaction. Our model generates many poles in the T-matrix which are associated with known states, while at the same time new states are predicted.
In this note we first introduce the theoretical formalism of the unitarization of the two-body scattering both in the infinite and finite volumes. Then we apply this formalism to the study of the $Z_c(3900)$ resonance in the $J/ψ\,π$ and $D\bar{D}^{*}$ coupled-channel scattering. The recent lattice finite-volume spectra are confronted with our predictions.
Using a constituent quark model we study the mass and decay channels of meson meson and meson baryon structures in the charm sector. We show that the $X(3872)$ and $X(3940)$ resonances can be described as mixed charmonium-molecular states with $J^{PC}=1^{++}$, whereas the $X(3915)$ and the $Y(3940)$ can be assigned to similar mixed states with $J^{PC}=0^{++}$. In the baryon spectrum we identify the $Λ^+_c(2940)$ as a $D^*N$ molecule with $(I)J^P=(0)3/2^-$ and the recently reported $X_c(3250)$ as a $D^*Δ$ resonance with $(I)J^P=(1)5/2^-$ or $(I)J^P=(2)3/2^-$.
An extension of Hadron Resonance Gas (HRG) model is constructed to include interactions using relativistic virial expansion of partition function. The non-interacting part of the expansion contains all the stable baryons and mesons and the interacting part contains all the higher mass resonances which decay into two stable hadrons. The virial coefficients are related to the phase shifts which are calculated using K-matrix formalism in the present work. We have calculated various thermodynamics quantities like pressure, energy density, and entropy density of the system. A comparison of thermody…
In this presentation we discuss the generation of hadrons with an exotic quark content and hidden charm emerging from three-body interactions. To be more specific, we have studied the $KD\bar{D}^*/K\bar D D^*$ and $ND\bar{D}^*/N\bar{D}D^*$ systems and predicted states generated from the respective three-body dynamics. In the case of the $KD\bar{D}^*/K\bar D D^*$ system we predict the formation of a meson state with mass around $4307$ MeV and quantum numbers $I(J^P) = 1/2(1^-)$, $K^*(4307)$, and from the study of the $ND\bar{D}^*/N\bar{D}D^*$ system we found $N^*$ states with masses in the rang…
Recent results from the experimental collaborations at LHC give hints of a resonance in the diphoton channel at an invariant mass of 750 GeV. We show that such a scalar resonance would be possible in an $U(1)$ extension of the SM where the extended symmetry is hidden and yet to be discovered. We explore the possibilities of accommodating this excess by introducing a minimal extension to the matter content and highlight the parameter space that can accommodate the observed diphoton resonance in the model. The model also predicts new interesting signals that may be observed at the current LHC ru…
We study the effect of a hidden charm nuclear excited state $N^*_{c\bar{c}}$ in the $π^- p \to D^- Σ_c^+$ reaction near threshold using an effective Lagrangian approach. We calculate the background contribution of the $t$ and $u$ channels by the $D^{*0}$ vector meson exchange and $Σ_c^{++}$ intermediate state, respectively. We show that the consideration of a $N^*_{c\bar{c}}$ resonance provides an enhancement of the total cross section close to the reaction threshold. We also evaluate the differential cross section for different energies and we study the angle dependence. It is expected that o…
ECOMB is established as a hadronic multiparticle production generator by soft interaction. It incorporates the eikonal formalism, parton model, color mutation, branching, resonance production and decay. A partonic cluster, being color-neutral initially, splits into smaller color-neutral clusters successively due to the color mutation of the quarks. The process stops at hadronic resonance, $q\bar q$ pair, formation. The model contains self-similar dynamics and exhibits scaling behavior in the factorial moments, e.g. the intermittency.
A variety of supergravity and string based models contain hidden sectors which can play a role in particle physics phenomena and in cosmology. In this note we discuss the possibility that the visible sector and the hidden sectors in general live in different heat baths. Further, it is entirely possible that dark matter resides partially or wholly in hidden sectors in the form of dark Dirac fermions, dark neutralinos or dark photons. A proper analysis of dark matter and of dark forces in this case requires that one deals with a multi-temperature universe. We discuss the basic formalism which in…
The possibility of observing formation of hidden-charm pentaquarks as $s$-channel resonances in antiproton - deuteron collisions is discussed. It is pointed out that the masses of the reported by LHCb pentaquark resonances in the $J/ψ\, p$ channel are very close to a special value of the mass at which formation of a pentaquark by antiproton incident on a deuteron at rest requires exactly the same momentum of the $\bar p$ as needed for the formation in the $s$ channel of the charmonium resonance in $\bar p p$ collisions with the proton being at rest. For this reason the former process can be ra…
We present a general formalism for analyzing supersymmetric models where the Higgs sector directly couples to the messengers of supersymmetry breaking. Such Higgs-messenger interactions are strongly motivated by the discovery of a Higgs boson near 125 GeV, but they also raise the specter of the mu/B_mu and A/m_H^2 problems. Using our formalism, we identify new avenues to solving these problems through strong dynamics in the messenger sector or hidden sector. Although our formalism is entirely general, we show how it reproduces familiar results in two simplifying limits: one where the hidden se…
In this work we develop a formalism to evaluate wave functions in momentum and coordinate space for the resonant states dynamically generated in a unitary coupled channel approach. The on shell approach for the scattering matrix, commonly used, is also obtained in Quantum Mechanics with a separable potential, which allows one to write wave functions in a trivial way. We develop useful relationships among the couplings of the dynamically generated resonances to the different channels and the wave functions at the origin. The formalism provides an intuitive picture of the resonances in the coupl…
