We obtain finiteness theorems for algebraic cycles of small codimension on quadric fibrations X over curves over perfect fields k. For example, if k is finitely generated over Q and the fibration has odd relative dimension at least 11, then CH^{i}(X) is finitely generated for i<=4.

Strong approximation for certain quadric fibrations with compact fibers

In this paper, we will show that strong approximation with Brauer-Manin obstruction holds for certain quadratic fibration such that none of fibers satisfies strong approximation with Brauer-Manin obstruction. Moreover, we develop the representation theory of quadratic Diophantine equations and explain that the representability of quadratic polynomials is equivalent to the classical result of representability of quadratic forms with congruent conditions and extend the classical result over number fields.

Strong approximation for the total space of certain quadric fibrations

We study equations in four variables (x,y,z,t) of the shape q(x,y,z)=P(t), where q(x,y,z) is an indefinite ternary quadratic form over the integers and P(t) is a polynomial in one variable with integral coefficients. If P(t) is not the product of a constant and the square of a polynomial, strong approximation holds for integral solutions (x,y,z,t). Arithmetic of Châtelet surface bundles revisited

We study arithmetic of the algebraic varieties defined over number fields by applying Lagrange interpolation to fibrations. The Euler top and canonical lifts

In this note, we prove a finiteness result for fibers that are canonical lifts in a given elliptic fibration. The question was motivated by the authors' construction of an arithmetic Euler top, and it highlights an interesting discrepancy between the arithmetic and the classical case: in the former, it is impossible to extend the flows to a compactification of the phase space, viewed as an elliptic fibration over the space of action variables.

On the Chow groups of certain geometrically rational 5-folds

We give an explicit regular model for the quadric fibration studied in Pirutka (2011). As an application we show that this construction furnishes a counterexample for the integral Tate conjecture in any odd characteristic for some sufficiently large finite field. We study the etale cohomology of this regular model, and as a consequence we derive that these counterexamples are not torsion.
