The effect of the Hawking temperature on the entanglement and teleportation for the scalar field in a most general, static and asymptotically flat black hole with spherical symmetry has been investigated. It is shown that the same "initial entanglement" for the state parameter $α$ and its "normalized partners" $\sqrt{1-α^{2}}$ will be degraded by the Hawking effect with increasing Hawking temperature along two different trajectories except for the maximally entangled state. In the infinite Hawking temperature limit, corresponding to the case of the black hole evaporating completely, the state has no longer distillable entanglement for any $α$. It is interesting to note that the mutual information in this limit equals to just half of the "initially mutual information". It has also been demonstrated that the fidelity of teleportation decreases as the Hawking temperature increases, which just indicates the degradation of entanglement.
Bipartite entanglement for states of a non-interacting bosonic or fermionic field in the spacetime of a spherically symmetric black hole of Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity, is investigated. Although the initial state is chosen to be maximally entangled as the Bell states, the Hawking-Unruh effect causes the state to be mixed and the entanglement degrades, but with different asymptotic behaviors for the fermionic and bosonic fields. The Gauss-Bonnet term with positive $α$ can play an anti-gravitation role and so this causes to decrease the Hawking-Unruh effect and consequently reduces the entangl…
We derive the Hawking radiation power equations for black holes in asymptotically flat, asymptotically Anti-de Sitter (AdS) and asymptotically de Sitter (dS) black holes, This is done by using the greybody factor for these black holes. We observe that the radiation power equation for asymptotically flat black holes, corresponding to greybody factor at low frequency, depends on both the Hawking temperature and the horizon radius. However, for the greybody factors at asymptotic frequency, it only depends on the Hawking temperature. We also obtain the power equation for asymptotically AdS black h…
We propose a modified Quantum Energy Teleportation (QET) scheme that uses arbitrary-dimensional qudit probes and polynomially localized Hamiltonians. We find that with an appropriate scaling of parameters, the teleported energy scales with the teleportation distance more favourably than the non-local tails of the Hamiltonians. We show that by allowing the exchange of arbitrary amounts of information between agents and in a suitable limit, an arbitrarily large amount of energy can be teleported through a massless quantum field.
In this paper, a new quantum mechanical method to extract energy from black holes with contracting horizons is proposed. The method is based on a gedanken experiment on quantum energy teleportation (QET), which has been recently proposed in quantum information theory. We consider this QET protocol for N massless fields in near-horizon regions of large-mass black holes with near-horizon geometry described by the Minkowski metric. For each field, a two-level spin is strongly coupled with the local quantum fluctuation outside the horizon during a short time period. After the measurement of N fiel…
We study the properties of quantum entanglement and teleportation in the background of stationary and rotating curved space-times with extra dimensions. We show that a maximally entangled Bell state in an inertial frame becomes less entangled in curved space due to the well-known Hawking-Unruh effect. The degree of entanglement is found to be degraded with increasing the extra dimensions. For a finite black hole surface gravity, the observer may choose higher frequency mode to keep high level entanglement. The fidelity of quantum teleporation is also reduced because of the Hawking-Unruh effect…
In the present paper we investigate the Hawking radiation of asymptotically non-flat dyonic black holes in 4D Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton gravity in semi-classical approximation. We show that the problem allows an exact analytical treatment and we compute exactly the semi-classical radiation spectrum of both non-extremal and extremal black holes under consideration. In the high frequency regime we find that the Hawking temperature does not agree with the surface gravity when the magnetic charge is nonzero. Even more surprisingly the Hawking temperature is independent of the black hole intrinsic c…
A new interpretation of entanglement entropy is proposed: entanglement entropy of a pure state with respect to a division of a Hilbert space into two subspaces 1 and 2 is an amount of information, which can be transmitted through 1 and 2 from a system interacting with 1 to another system interacting with 2. The transmission medium is quantum entanglement between 1 and 2. In order to support the interpretation, suggestive arguments are given: variational principles in entanglement thermodynamics and quantum teleportation. It is shown that a quantum state having maximal entanglement entropy play…
Mathematical connection between the quantum teleportation, the most unique feature of quantum information processing, and the black hole final state is studied taking into account the non trivial spacetime geometry. We use the twist operatation for the generalized entanglement measurement and the final state boundary conditions to obtain transfer theorems for the black hole evaporation. This would enable us to put together the universal quantum teleportation and the black hole evaporation in the unified mathematical footing. For a renormalized post selected final state of outgoing Hawking radi…
In this work we obtain the limit of the Hawking energy of a large class of foliations along general null hypersurfaces $Ω$ satisfying a weak notion of asymptotic flatness. The foliations are not required to be either geodesic or approaching large spheres at infinity. The limit is obtained in terms of a reference background geodesic foliation approaching large spheres and a positive function, constant along the null generators on $Ω$, which describes the relation between the two foliations at infinity. The integrand in the limit expression has interesting covariance and invariance properties wi…
The $d$-dimensional scalar field action may be reduced, in the background geometry of a black hole, to a 2-dimensional effective action. In the near horizon region, it appears a gravitational anomaly: the energy-momentum tensor of the scalar field is not conserved anymore. This anomaly is removed by introducing a term related to the Hawking temperature of the black hole. Even if the temperature term introduced is not covariant, a gauge transformation may restore the covariance. We apply this method to compute the temperature of the black hole of the dilatonic non asymptotically flat black hole…
Analogue gravity experiments make feasible the realisation of black hole spacetimes in a laboratory setting and the observational verification of Hawking radiation. Since such analogue systems are typically dominated by dispersion, efficient techniques for calculating the predicted Hawking spectrum in the presence of strong dispersion are required. In the preceding paper, an integral method in Fourier space is proposed for stationary $1+1$-dimensional backgrounds which are asymptotically symmetric. Here, this method is generalised to backgrounds which are different in the asymptotic regions to…
The Hawking radiation forms the essential basis of the black hole thermodynamics. The black hole thermodynamics denotes a nice correspondence between black hole kinematics and the laws of ordinary thermodynamics, but has been so far considered only in an asymptotically flat case. Does such the correspondence rely strongly on the feature of the gravity vanishing at the infinity? In order to resolve this question, it should be considered for the first to extend the Hawking radiation to a case with a dynamical boundary condition like an expanding universe. Therefore the Hawking radiation in an ex…

We study Hartle-Hawking-like states of quantum field theories on asymptotically AdS black hole backgrounds, with particular regard to the phase structure of interacting theories. By a suitable analytic continuation we show that the equilibrium dynamics of field theories on large asymptotically AdS black holes can be related to the low temperature states of the same field theory on the AdS soliton (or pure AdS) background. This allows us to gain insight into Hartle-Hawking-like states on large-radius Schwarzschild- or rotating-AdS black holes. Furthermore, we exploit the AdS/CFT correspondence …
We present a new asymptotically flat black hole solution in null aether theory (NAT) by applying Newman-Janis process. For this purpose, we study the asymptotically flat NAT black hole solution in Newman-Janis algorithm and then compute the tunneling radiation for NAT black hole. The Hawking temperature for NAT black hole depends upon the rotation parameter and charge of the black hole. The Hawking temperature describes a black hole with extremal event horizon. Furthermore, we analyze the graphical interpretation of Hawking temperature w.r.t event horizon and check the stability of black hole …
We discuss the issue of quasi-particle production by ``analogue black holes'' with particular attention to the possibility of reproducing Hawking radiation in a laboratory. By constructing simple geometric acoustic models, we obtain a somewhat unexpected result: We show that in order to obtain a stationary and Planckian emission of quasi-particles, it is not necessary to create a trapped region in the acoustic spacetime (corresponding to a supersonic regime in the fluid flow). It is sufficient to set up a dynamically changing flow asymptotically approaching a sonic regime with sufficient rapid…
The conformal invariance of the Hawking temperature, conjectured for the asymptotically flat and stationary black holes by Jacobson and Kang, is semiclassically evaluated for a simple particular case of symmetrical spherically and non asymptotically flat black hole. By using the Bogoliubov coefficients, the metric euclideanization, the reflection coefficient and the gravitational anomaly, as methods of calculating the Hawking temperature, we find that it is invariant under a specific conformal transformation of the metric. We discuss briefly the results for each method.
This paper deals with the semiclassical radiation spectrum of static and circularly symmetric 3D charged dilaton black holes with cosmological constant Λ in non-asymptotically flat spacetimes. We first review the 3D charged dilaton black holes which are solution to low-energy string action. The wave equation of a massless scalar field is shown to be exactly solvable in terms of hypergeometric functions. Thus, the radiation spectrum and its corresponding temperature are obtained, precisely. Computations at high frequency regime show that the radiation spectrum yields the Hawking temperature of …
The Ricci flow is a heat equation for metrics, which has recently been used to study the topology of closed three manifolds. In this paper we apply Ricci flow techniques to general relativity. We view a three dimensional asymptotically flat Riemannian metric as a time symmetric initial data set for Einstein's equations. We study the evolution of the area A and Hawking mass M of a two dimensional closed surface under the Ricci flow. The physical relevance of our study derives from the fact that, in general relativity the area of apparent horizons is related to black hole entropy and the Hawking…
The thermodynamic equilibrium states of a static thin ring shell in a (2+1)-dimensional spacetime with a negative cosmological constant are analyzed. Inside the ring, the spacetime is pure anti-de Sitter (AdS), whereas outside it is a Bañados-Teitelbom-Zanell$ (BTZ) spacetime and thus asymptotically AdS. The first law of thermodynamics applied to the thin shell, plus one equation of state for the shell's pressure and another for its temperature, leads to a shell's entropy, which is a function of its gravitational radius alone. A simple example for this gravitational entropy, namely, a power la…
We obtain, using a reformulation of the tunneling mechanism, the Hawking black body spectrum with the appropriate temperature for a black hole. This is a new result in the tunneling formalism of discussing Hawking effect. Our results are given for a spherically symmetric geometry that is asymptotically flat.
Hawking radiation of a non-asymptotically flat (NAF) 4-dimensional spherically symmetric and static dilatonic black hole (BH) via the Hamilton-Jacobi (HJ) method has been studied. In addition to the naive coordinates, we have used four more different coordinate systems which are well-behaved at the horizon. Except the isotropic coordinates, direct computation of the HJ method leads us the standard Hawking temperature for all coordinate systems. The isotropic coordinates render possible to get the index of refraction extracting from the Fermat metric. It is explicitly shown that the index of re…
In this paper we revisited Hawking radiation in the light of the original calculations of Hawking and Wald and found that some additional insights can be gained. We review a "derivation" of the field theory Hilbert space from the space of solutions, followed by the calculation of Bogoliubov coefficients in a collapsed spacetime from first principles. We show that these calculations can be generalized to the case of local Killing horizons and also to asymptotically non-flat spaces.
We show a new property of sonic black holes. After deriving the metric of a sonic black hole from the Schrodinger equation and quantizing the perturbation fields near the sonic event horizon, we show particles of Hawking radiation can act as a source of entanglement: two-mode squeezed entanglement is produced near the event horizon, which can be used in quantum teleportation. The fidelity of the teleportation is closely related to the temperature of the sonic black holes, but high fidelity seems difficult to reach in our case.
The greybody factor and the Hawking temperature for a class of asymptotically flat charged dilatonic black holes are computed by using the low-energy dynamics of scalar fields in the black hole background. In the semi-classical approximation, the Hawking temperature has a good agreement with the one computed from the surface gravity, which is independent of the magnetic (or electric) charges of dilatonic black holes.
In this paper, we analyze the Hawking radiation (HR) of a non-asymptotically flat (NAF) dyonic black hole (dBH) in four-dimensional (4D) Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton (EMD) gravity by using one of the semiclassical approaches which is the so-called Hamilton-Jacobi (HJ) method. We particularly motivate on the isotropic coordinate system (ICS) of the dBH in order to highlight the ambiguity to be appeared in the derivation of the Hawking temperature (T_{H}) via the HJ method. Besides, it will be shown that the ICS allows us to write the metric of the dBH in form of the Fermat metric, which renders pos…
We perform a comprehensive analysis of the spectrum of proper oscillations (quasinormal modes), transmission/reflection coefficients and Hawking radiation for a massive charged scalar field in the background of the Kerr-Newman black hole immersed in an asymptotically homogeneous magnetic field. There are two main effects: the Zeeman shift of the particle energy in the magnetic field and the difference of values of an electromagnetic potential between the horizon and infinity, i.e. the Faraday induction. We have shown that "turning on" the magnetic field induces a stronger energy-emission rate …
We construct a new exact solution in the 5D Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton gravity describing a magnetized squashed black hole. We calculate its physical characteristics, and derive the Smarr-like relations. The Hawking radiation of the solution is also investigated by calculating the greybody factor for the emission of massless scalar particles in the low-energy regime. In distinction to the case of asymptotically flat magnetized black holes, the thermodynamical characteristics and the Hawking radiation of the solution depend on the external magnetic field, and consequently can be tuned by its vari…
We study the behavior of monogamy deficit and monogamy asymmetry for Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen steering of Gaussian states under the influence of the Hawking effect. We demonstrate that the monogamy of quantum steering shows an extreme scenario in the curved spacetime: the first part of a tripartite system cannot individually steer two other parties, but it can steer the collectivity of the remaining two parties. We also find that the monogamy deficit of Gaussian steering, a quantifier of genuine tripartite steering, are generated due to the influence of the Hawking thermal bath. Our results elu…
In the context of black hole chemistry, we study the thermodynamics of asymptotically de Sitter black holes with conformal scalar hair in Einstein gravity. The hair parameter allows us to attain thermodynamic equilibrium between the event horizon and the cosmological horizon. We find that the system of the black hole and the de Sitter space surrounding it undergo a Reverse Hawking-Page phase transition provided we consider the grand-canonical ensemble.

We investigate nature of asymptotically de Sitter space-times containing a black hole. We show that if the matter fields satisfy the dominant energy condition and the cosmic censorship holds in the considering space-time, the area of the cosmological event horizon for an observer approaching a future timelike infinity does not decrease, i.e. the second law is satisfied. We also show under the same conditions that the total area of the black hole and the cosmological event horizon, a quarter of which is the total Bekenstein-Hawking entropy, is less than $12π/Λ$, where $Λ$ is a cosmological cons…
The main topic of this talk is the Hawking effect when the black holes in question are undergoing a uniform acceleration. The semiclassical effect of the acceleration is most striking when the Hawking temperature equals the acceleration temperature. Within the usual late-time approximation, the natural black hole vacuum is then equivalent to the asymptotically empty Minkowskian vacuum, and the accelerated black hole becomes semiclassically stable against the familiar thermal evaporation. An important application of this phenomenon is found in the problem of charged black hole pair-creation.
Probing the thermodynamic properties of the Hawking-Page phase transition of asymptotically-flat black holes in Rényi statistics. We reveal the evidence for the persisting of the dual universal formula associated with the Hawking-Page (HP) and minimum black hole thermodynamical transition points. Our study unveils the universal properties of the black holes in different statistics, in particular beyond the Gibbs-Boltzmann formalism, and motivates a further promising bridge between the nonextensivity Rényi parameter λ and the cosmological constant ? . Besides, we discover that universal ratios …
We discuss the Hawking temperature of near-equilibrium black holes using a semiclassical analysis. We introduce a useful expansion method for slowly evolving spacetime, and evaluate the Bogoliubov coefficients using the saddle point approximation. For a spacetime whose evolution is sufficiently slow, such as a black hole with slowly changing mass, we find that the temperature is determined by the surface gravity of the past horizon. As an example of applications of these results, we study the Hawking temperature of black holes with null shell accretion in asymptotically flat space and the AdS-…
The Hawking--Page phase transitions of the Schwarzschild and charged black holes are investigated in an extended phase space, in which the black holes are enclosed in a spherical cavity of radius $r_B$ in asymptotically flat space. An effective thermodynamic volume $V=4πr_B^3/3$ is introduced for the black hole, and an effective pressure $p$ is defined as the conjugate variable of $V$. The phase transition temperature $T_{\rm HP}$ and the Gibbs free energy $G$ are systematically studied in a grand canonical ensemble with fixed electric potential $Φ$, and $T_{\rm HP}$ is found to increase with …
The Hawking-Unruh effect of thermal radiance from a black hole or observed by an accelerated detector is usually viewed as a geometric effect related to the existence of an event horizon. Here we propose a new viewpoint, that the detection of thermal radiance in these systems is a local, kinematic effect arising from the vacuum being subjected to a relativistic exponential scale transformation. This kinematic effect alters the relative weight of quantum versus thermal fluctuations (noise) between the two vacua. This approach can treat conditions which the geometric approach cannot, such as sys…
We compute exactly the semi-classical radiation spectrum for a class of non-asymptotically flat charged dilaton black holes, the so-called linear dilaton black holes. In the high frequency regime, the temperature for these black holes generically agrees with the surface gravity result. In the special case where the black hole is massless, we show that, although the surface gravity remains finite, there is no radiation, in agreement with the fact that massless objects cannot radiate.
Modeling the collapse of an extreme Reissner-Nordström (ERN) black hole by solving the corresponding moving mirror model for the trajectory that asymptotically approaches uniform acceleration, we obtain the non-zero beta coefficients for all times. Finite energy is emitted, the radiation spectra is non-thermal (non-steady / not Planck), soft particles characterize the evaporation, and particle production at ultra-late times is damped. Entanglement entropy diverges with no Page curve turn-over, demonstrating non-thermal information loss. The radiation obeys time-reversal symmetry.
Using the extended forms of the Heisenberg uncertainty principle from string theory and the quantum gravity theory, we drived Hawking temperature of a Taub-Nut-(A)dS black hole. In spite of their distinctive natures such as asymptotically locally flat and breakdown of the area theorem of the horizon for the black holes, we show that the corrections to Hawking temperature by the generalized versions of the the Heisenberg uncertainty principle increases like the Schwarzschild-(A)dS black hole and give the reason why the Taub-Nut-(A)dS metric may have AdS/CFT dual picture.
We propose a model for the geometry of a dynamical spherical shell in which the metric is asymptotically Schwarzschild, but deviates from Ricci-flatness in a finite neighbourhood of the shell. Hence, the geometry corresponds to a `hairy' black hole, with the hair originating on the shell. The metric is regular for an infalling shell, but it bifurcates, leading to two disconnected Schwarzschild-like spacetime geometries. The shell is interpreted as either collapsing matter or as Hawking radiation, depending on whether or not the shell is infalling or outgoing. In this model, the Hawking radiati…
We present a derivation of Hawking radiation through tunneling mechanism for a general class of asymptotically flat, spherically symmetric spacetimes. The tunneling rate $Γ\sim \exp{(ΔS)}$ arises as a consequence of the first law of thermodynamics, TdS=dE + PdV. Therefore, this approach demonstrates how tunneling is intimately connected with the first law of thermodynamics through the principle of conservation of energy. The analysis is also generally applicable to any reasonable theory of gravity so long as the first law of thermodynamics for horizons holds in the form, TdS=dE + PdV.
Quantum entanglement lies at the heart of quantum information theory, with applications to quantum computing, teleportation, cryptography and communication. In the apparently separate world of quantum gravity, the Hawking effect of radiating black holes has also occupied centre stage. Despite their apparent differences, it turns out that there is a correspondence between the two.
We argue that, when working with the appropriate set of thermodynamical variables, the Bekenstein-Hawking law still holds for asymptotically flat black objects with conical singularities. The mass-energy which enters the first law of thermodynamics does not, however, coincide with the ADM mass; it differs from the latter by the energy associated with the conical singularity, as seen by an asymptotic, static observer. These statements are supported by a number of examples: the Bach-Weyl (double-Schwarzschild) solution, its dihole generalisation in Einstein-Maxwell theory and the five dimensiona…
The higher derivative gravity includes corrections of the second order in curvature and allows for both Schwarzschild and non-Schwarzschild asymptotically flat black-hole solutions. Here we find the grey-body factors and energy emission rates for Hawking radiation of test Dirac and electromagnetic fields in the vicinity of such a non-Schwarzschild black hole. The temperature and mass of the black hole monotonically decrease from its Schwarzschild value to zero when the coupling constant is increased up to its extremal value. Nevertheless, for small and moderate values of the coupling constant …
Flat-space cosmologies (FSC) are solutions to three dimensional theories of gravity without cosmological constant that have cosmological horizons. A detector located near the time-like singularity of the spacetime can absorb Hawking modes that are created near the horizon. Continuation of this process will eventually cause the entropy of the radiation to be larger than the entropy of the FSC, which leads to the information paradox. In this paper, we resolve this paradox for the FSC using the island proposal. To do this, we couple an auxiliary flat bath system to this spacetime in timelike sing…
