Gravitational mass in electromagnetic field

A fraction of energy is theoretically predicted to be captured from electromagnetic field to form a gravitating mass, when a low-mass charged particle enters the strong field from a region of no electromagnetism. In this paper the mass variation has been calculated for a charged particle on free-fall in the constraint electromagnetic field. It has been shown that there is an evident effect to the variation in mass when the low-mass charged particle is in the strong field.

Scalar invariants in gravitational and electromagnetic fields

The paper discusses some scalar invariants in the gravitational field and electromagnetic field by means of the characteristics of the quaternions. When we emphasize some definitions of quaternion physical quantities, the speed of light, mass density, energy density, power density, charge density, and spin magnetic moment density etc. will remain the same respectively in the gravitational and electromagnetic fields under the coordinate transformation. Relativistic dynamics of distributed mass and charge densities of the extended classical particle is discussed for arbitrary gravitational and electromagnetic fields. Vector geodesic relations for material space densities are consequences of tensor gravitational equations for continuous sources and their fields. Classical four-flows of elementary material space depend on local four-potentials for charged densities, like in quantum theory. Unification of Gravitational and Electromagnetic Fields in Riemannian Geometry

The gravitational field and the source-free electromagnetic field can be unified preliminarily by the equations in the Riemannian geometry, both are contractions of im and ik, respectively. So it will be equivalent to the Yang gravitational equations. From this we can obtain the Lorentz equations of motion, the first system and second source-free system of Maxwell field equations. This unification can be included in the gauge theory, and the unified gauge group is GL(2,C), which is just the same as the gauge group of the Riemanian manifold.

Self-gravitational red shift effect and micro-black holes production in dipolar electromagnetic sources

Using Bridge Theory to describe the electromagnetic interactions occurring between high energy pairs of particles, we predict an anomalous self-gravitational red-shift in the frequency of the EM source produced during the interaction. The extreme consequence is the introduction of an upper limit in the electromagnetic spectrum. Hypothesizing a scattering energy greater than 5.55 10^22 Mev,the source collapses under his events horizon, becoming a neutral spin less micro-black hole: perfect candidates to contribute to the dark matter of the Universe.

On the possibility of unifying the electromagnetic and the gravitational fields

This is the first paper by Gunnar Nordstr{ö}m (1881--1923) on his five dimensional theory. In his summary he states: ''It is shown, that a unifying treatment of the electromagnetic and gravitational fields is possible, if one considers the four dimensional spacetime world to be a surface in a five dimensional world.'' This paper was followed by two other papers written by the Gunnar Nordstr{ö}m during the one year period 1914--1915, on the same subject, which are also made available here.
