A neutrino mass matrix model M_νwith M_ν^T =M_νand a model with its inverse matrix form \widetilde{M}_ν= m_0^2 (M_ν^*)^{-1} can be diagonalized by the same mixing matrix U_ν. It is investigated whether a scenario which provides a matrix model M_νwith normal mass hierarchy can also give a model with an inverted mass hierarchy by considering a model with an inverse form of M_ν.
We propose a scheme, based on Δ(27) flavor symmetry and supplemented by other discrete symmetries and inverse seesaw mechanism, where both the light neutrino masses and the deviation from tri-bimaximal mixing matrix can be linked to the source of lepton number violation. The hierarchies of the charged leptons are explained. We find that the quark masses including their hierarchies and the mixing can also be constructed in a similar way.
Supersymmetric (SUSY) models, even those described by relatively few parameters, generically allow many possible SUSY particle (sparticle) mass hierarchies. As the sparticle mass hierarchy determines, to a great extent, the collider phenomenology of a model, the enumeration of these hierarchies is of the utmost importance. We therefore provide a readily generalizable procedure for determining the number of sparticle mass hierarchies in a given SUSY model. As an application, we analyze the gravity-mediated SUSY breaking scenario with various combinations of GUT-scale boundary conditions involvi…
Leptogenesis in a left-right symmetric model is investigated for all possible neutrino mass hierarchies. The predictions of the model for low energy parameters as measured in neutrinoless double beta decay and in oscillation experiments are compared. The preferred values of the Majorana phases and limits on the smallest mass state are given. The main observation is that for the inverse hierarchy observable CP violation in oscillation experiments as well as a sizable signal in neutrinoless double beta decay can be expected. In a degenerate scheme, one Majorana phase is bounded to be around pi/2…
We investigate the prospects for scenarios with vanishing determinant neutrino mass matrices and vanishing $θ_{13}$ mixing angle. Normal and inverse mass hierarchies are considered separately. For normal hierarchy it is found that neutrinoless double beta decay cannot be observed by any of the present or next generation experiments. For inverse hierarchy the neutrinoless double beta decay is, on the contrary, accessible to experiments. We also analyse for both hierarchies the case for texture zeros and equalities between mass matrix elements. No texture zeros are found to be possible nor any s…
We propose an inverse seesaw scenario under hidden $U(1)$ gauge symmetry, having rather natural hierarchies among neutral fermion mass scales. The hierarchies are derived from theory and experimental constraints. The theory requires Majorana exotic masses have to be induced at one-loop level. The experimental side requests that the Dirac mass terms has to be highly suppressed to satisfy the constraints from the lepton flavor violations(LFVs) such as $μ\to eγ$. In order to induce such a small Majorana exotic masses we introduce exotic fermions and bosons that also provide us additional intrigui…
I discuss in this talk mainly three topics related with dark matter motivated neutrino mass spectrum and a generic issue of mass pattern, the normal versus the inverted mass hierarchies. In the first part, by describing failure of a nontrivial potential counter example, I argue that the standard 3 $ν$ mixing scheme with the solar and the atmospheric $Δm^2$'s is robust. In the second part, I discuss the almost degenerate neutrino (ADN) scenario as the unique possibility of accommodating dark matter mass neutrinos into the 3 $ν$ scheme. I review a cosmological bound and then reanalyze the constr…
We investigate the feasibility of probing the neutrino mass hierarchy and the mixing angle $ϕ_{13}$ with the neutrino burst from a future supernova. An inverse power-law density $ρ\sim r^{n} $ with varying $n$ is adopted in the analysis as the density profile of a typical core-collapse supernova. The survival probabilities of $ν_{e}$ and $\barν_{e}$ are shown to reduce to two-dimensional functions of $n$ and $ϕ_{13}$. It is found that in the $n-\sin^{2} ϕ_{13}$ parameter space, the 3D plots of the probability functions exhibit highly non-trivial structures that are sensitive to the mass hierar…

We investigate the prospects for neutrinoless double beta decay, texture zeros and equalities between neutrino mass matrix elements in scenarios with vanishing determinant mass matrices for vanishing and finite $θ_{13}$ mixing angle in normal and inverse mass hierarchies. For normal hierarchy and both zero and finite $θ_{13}$ it is found that neutrinoless double beta decay cannot be observed by any of the present or next generation experiments, while for inverse hierarchy it is, on the contrary, accessible to experiments. Regarding texture zeros and equalities between mass matrix elements, we …
We propose an inverse seesaw model with large $SU(2)_L$ multiplet fields which realizes natural mass hierarchies among neutral fermions. Here, lighter neutral fermion mass matrices are induced via two suppression mechanisms; one is small vacuum expectation value of $SU(2)_L$ triplet required by rho parameter constraint and the other is generation of Majorana mass term of extra singlet fermions at one-loop level. To realize the loop masses, we impose $Z_2$ symmetry which also guarantees stability of a dark matter candidate. Furthermore, we discuss anomalous magnetic moment and collider physics …
We present a quantitative study of the ability of models with different levels of hierarchy to reproduce the solar neutrino solutions, in particular the LA solution. As a flexible testing ground we consider models based on SU(5)xU(1)_F. In this context, we have made statistical simulations of models with different patterns from anarchy to various types of hierachy: normal hierarchical models with and without automatic suppression of the 23 (sub)determinant and inverse hierarchy models. We find that, not only for the LOW or VO solutions, but even in the LA case, the hierarchical models have a s…

In this paper we propose a novel supersymmetric inverse seesaw model which has only one additional $Z_6$ symmetry. The field content is minimal to get a viable neutrino spectrum at tree-level. Interestingly, the inverse seesaw scale in our model is related to the scale of electroweak symmetry breaking. Due to that origin we are less biased about hierarchies and discuss three different types of the inverse seesaw mechanism with different phenomenologies. We can successfully reproduce neutrino masses and mixing and our model is consistent with current bounds on neutrinoless double beta decay, no…
We propose two different seesaw models namely, type I and inverse seesaw to realise light Dirac neutrinos within the framework of $A_4$ discrete flavour symmetry. The additional fields and their transformations under the flavour symmetries are chosen in such a way that naturally predicts the hierarchies of different elements of the seesaw mass matrices in these two types of seesaw mechanisms. For generic choices of flavon alignments, both the models predict normal hierarchical light neutrino masses with the atmospheric mixing angle in the lower octant. Apart from predicting interesting correla…
We propose a gauged $U(1)_{B-L}$ extended two Higgs doublet model to explain both neutrino mass and lepton anomalous magnetic moments ($g-2$). Neutrino mass is generated via an inverse seesaw mechanism by introducing singlet fermions. Especially, we update the result of muon $g-2$ in light of the very recent report by E989 experiment at Fermilab, indicating $a_μ^{\rm FNAL}=116592040(54)\times 10^{-11}$. Combining BNL result, we have the following deviation from the standard model prediction $Δa_μ=(2.51\pm 5.9)\times10^{-10}$ at 4.2 $σ$. Thanks to an appropriate assignment for $U(1)_{B-L}\times…
The generic predictions of inverse Majorana neutrino mass matrix, $M_ν^{-1}$ with texture two zeros, in the basis where charged lepton mass matrix is diagonal, have been obtained for neutrino masses and mixings, especially, $θ_{13}$ and CP-violating phases. Such type of mass models are natural in the context of seesaw models with Dirac neutrino mass matrix, $M_{D}$, diagonal. Out of the fifteen possible texture two zeros patterns of the inverse neutrino mass matrix only seven are found to be compatible with the available data on neutrino masses and mixings including the latest $T\emph{2}K$ obs…
Exponential lepton mass ratios are studied in a low energy phenomenology. In view of the known data, the mass patterns of the charged leptons and widely discussed quasi-degenerate neutrinos are related to one another by two different traits - opposite mass ratios with large versus small exponents, and probably conformable mass-degeneracy-deviation hierarchies. The solar-atmospheric hierarchy parameter should have a special physical meaning in the Q-D neutrino scenario. A general generic hierarchy equation with two opposite solutions respectively for the charged lepton and neutrino mass ratios …
We make a comparative study of the neutrinoless double beta decay constraints on heavy sterile neutrinos versus other direct and indirect constraints from both lepton number conserving and violating processes, as a sensitive probe of the extent of lepton number violation and possible interference effects in the sterile sector. We introduce a phenomenological parametrisation of the simplified one-generation seesaw model with one active and two sterile neutrino states in terms of experimentally measurable quantities, such as active-sterile neutrino mixing angles, CP phases, masses and mass split…
We consider a class of gauged $U(1)$ extensions of the Standard Model (SM), where the light neutrino masses are generated by an inverse seesaw mechanism. In addition to the three right handed neutrinos, we add three singlet fermions and demand an extra $Z_2$ symmetry under which, the third generations of both of the neutral fermions are odd, which in turn gives us a stable dark matter candidate. We express the $U(1)$ charges of all the fermions in terms of the U(1) charges of the standard model Higgs and the new complex scalar. We study the bounds on the parameters of the model from vacuum sta…
We propose an extension of the standard model introducing large $SU(2)_L$ multiplet fields which are quartet and septet scalars and quintet Majorana fermions. These multiplets can induce the neutrino masses via interactions with the $SU(2)$ doublet leptons. We then find the neutrino masses are suppressed by small vacuum expectation value of the quartet/septet and an inverse of quintet fermion mass relaxing the Yukawa hierarchies among the standard model fermions. We also discuss collider physics at the Large Hadron Collider considering production of charged particles in these multiplets, and d…
We calculate the ratio $R_{\ell\ell}$ of same sign (SS) to opposite sign (OS) dileptons in type I and generalized inverse seesaw models and show that it can be anywhere between 0 and 1 depending on the detailed texture of the right-handed neutrino mass matrix. Measurement of $R_{\ell\ell}$ in hadron colliders can therefore provide a way to probe the nature of seesaw mechanism and also to distinguish between the two types of seesaw mechanisms. We work within the framework of left-right symmetric model as an example. We emphasize that coherence of the final states in the $W_R$ decay is crucial f…
Exotic self-interactions among the Standard-Model neutrinos have been proposed as a potential reason behind the tension in the expansion rate, H0, of the universe inferred from different observations. We constrain this proposal using electroweak precision observables, rare meson decays, and neutrinoless double-\{beta} decay. In contrast to previous works, we emphasize the importance of carrying out this study in a framework with full Standard-Model gauge invariance. We implement this first by working with a relevant set of Standard- Model-Effective-Field-Theory operators and subsequently by co…
The inverse tritium beta decay (ITBD) reaction, $ν_e + ^3$H $\to e^- + ^3$He, is a promising experimental tool for observing relic neutrinos created in the early Universe. This reaction has been selected by the PTOLEMY experiment for the search of relic neutrinos. Despite its potential, the ITBD reaction induced by any sources of neutrinos has yet to be observed. We show that an intense $^{51}$Cr radioactive neutrino source is suitable for observing the ITBD reaction for the first time. As the Sun is another source of intense electron neutrinos, we also examine the ITBD reaction rate from sola…
Self-induced flavor conversions near the supernova (SN) core can make the fluxes for different neutrino species become almost equal, potentially altering the dynamics of the SN explosion and washing out all further neutrino oscillation effects. We present a new model-independent analysis strategy for the next galactic SN signal that will distinguish this flavor equalization scenario from a matter effects only scenario during the SN accretion phase. Our method does not rely on fitting or modelling the energy-dependent fluences of the different species to a known function, but rather uses a mode…
I study (for the first time) the dependence of M_D and of the leptonic decay constant f_D on the variation of the running charm quark mass m_c(ν). I conclude that the present data on f_{D_s} from D_s into μνdecay give a weaker constraint than M_D, where the latter leads to the result, m_c(M_c)=(1.08\pm 0.11) GeV, to two-loop accuracy in the {MS}-bar scheme, in good agreement with the value m_c(M_c)=(1.23^{+0.04}_{-0.05}) GeV extracted directly, within the same approximation, from M_{J/ψ}. The agreement of the corresponding perturbative pole mass with the one extracted directly from the data ca…
