The models, however, do not reproduce the quantum mechanical predictions, hence they are experimentally testable. Specifically, we show that, assuming two conditions, there are no non-trivial hidden variables models of the quantum predictions for product measurements on two systems in any maximally entangled state in a Hilbert space of dimension at least 3x3. In the present paper we introduce a way of identifying quantum phase transitions of many-body systems by means of local time correlations and Leggett-Garg inequalities.
