We examine the possible extension of the parameter space of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM), as expressed via the renormalization-group equations in terms of universal soft supersymmetry-breaking terms at the unification scale, to include tachyonic input scalar masses. Many models with negative masses-squared for scalars at the unification scale may be viable because the small sizes of the masses-squared allow them to change signs during the renormalization-group evolution to the electroweak scale. However, in many cases, there is, in addition to the electroweak vacuum, a much deeper high-scale vacuum located along some F- and D-flat direction in the effective potential for the MSSM. We perform a numerical search for such vacua in both the CMSSM and the NUHM. We discuss the circumstances under which the existence of such a deep charge- and color-breaking vacuum is consistent with standard cosmology. A crucial role is played by the inflation--induced scalar masses, whereas thermal effects are often irrelevant.
We derive the 1-loop Renormalization Group Equations for the parameters of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) taking into account the successive decoupling of each sparticle below its threshold. This is realized by a step function at the level of each graph contributing to the Renormalization Group Equations.
The on-shell renormalization scheme for the electroweak theory is well studied in the standard model(SM), but a consistent on-shell renormalization scheme for the minimal supersymmetric standard model(MSSM) is still unknown. In MSSM, we study the on-shell scheme for three vertexes$Z\bar{l^I}l^I, W^+\bar{ν^I}l^I $ and $\tilde{L}^*_i\bar{χ^0_α}l^I$ with virtual SUSY particles (chargino, sneutrino, neutralino and slepton) at one-loop order. Instead of amplitude of a single triangle diagram, the sum of amplitude of triangle diagrams belonging to one suit can be renormalized in the on-shell scheme.…
The structure of the Higgs sector in the minimal supersymmetric standard model is reviewed at the one-loop level. An on-shell renormalization scheme of the MSSM Higgs sector is presented in detail together with the complete list of formulae for the neutral Higgs masses at the one-loop level. The results of a complete one- loop calculation for the mass spectrum of the neutral MSSM Higgs bosons and the quality of simpler Born-like approximations are discussed for sfermion and gaugino masses in the range of the electroweak scale.
In a recent re-analysis of the Standard Model (SM) beta-function for the effective neutrino mass operator, we found that the previous results were not entirely correct. Therefore, we consider the analogous dimension five operators in a class of Two Higgs Doublet Models (2HDM's) and the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). Deriving the renormalization group equations for these effective operators, we confirm the existing result in the case of the MSSM. Some of our 2HDM results are new, while others differ from earlier calculations. This leads to modifications in the renormalization gro…
In the context of MSSM, a novel improving procedure based on the renormalization group equation is applied to the effective potential in the Higgs sector. We focus on the one-loop radiative corrections computed in Landau gauge by using the mass independent renormalization scheme $\bar{DR}$. Thanks to the decoupling theorem, the well-known multimass scale problem is circumvented by switching to a new effective field theory every time a new particle threshold is encountered. We find that, for any field configuration, there is a convenient renormalization scale $\tilde{Q}^*$ at which the loop exp…
Well-known and newly developed renormalization schemes for $\tanβ$ are analyzed in view of three desirable properties: gauge independence, process independence, and numerical stability in perturbation theory. Arguments are provided that no scheme can meet all three requirements, and as an illustration, a ``No-Go-Theorem'' for the renormalization of $\tanβ$ is established. Nevertheless, two particularly attractive schemes emerge. A discussion about which scheme might be the best compromise in practice is given.
An updated version is presented of the Fortran code FeynHiggs for the evaluation of the neutral CP-even Higgs sector masses and mixing angles. It differs from the previous version by a modification of the renormalization scheme concerning the treatment of subleading terms at the one-loop level; the two-loop corrections, for which the leading contributions of O(alpha_t alphas) and O(alpha_t^2) are implemented, are not affected by the modified renormalization prescription. Besides stabilizing the Higgs mass calculations and avoiding unphysically large threshold effects, the mass of the lightest …
Two-loop threshold corrections for both the strong coupling constant and Yukawa couplings of heavy SM fermions are considered in the context of Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). With the help of the well-known SOFTSUSY code the dependence of the corrections on universal MSSM parameters is analyzed. For a consistent study of the influence of the corrections on SUSY mass spectrum three-loop renormalization group equations are implemented. A particular scenario (SPS4) is considered and the shifts of the particle masses due to contributions of different threshold corrections are presen…
We present a consistent renormalization of the top and bottom quark/squark sector of the MSSM with complex parameters (cMSSM). Various renormalization schemes are defined, analyzed analytically and tested numerically in the decays Stop_2 -> Sbot_i H+/W+ (i = 1,2). No scheme is found that produces numerically acceptable results over all the cMSSM parameter space, where problems occur mostly already for real parameters. Two schemes are identified that show the most robust behavior. A numerical analysis of the four partial stop decay widths is performed in our "preferred" scheme, "m_b, A_b DRbar"…
We discuss the choice of input parameters for the renormalization of the chargino and neutralino sector in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) in the on-shell scheme. We show that one should chose the masses of a bino-like, a wino-like and a higgsino-like state as inputs in order to avoid large corrections to the masses of the other eigenstates in this sector. We also show that schemes where the higgsino-like input state is a neutralino are more stable than those where the mass of the higgsino-like chargino is used as input. The most stable scheme uses the masses of the wino-like …
In a theory with broken supersymmetry, gaugino couplings renormalize differently from gauge couplings, as do higgsino couplings from Higgs boson couplings. As a result, we expect the gauge (Higgs boson) couplings and the corresponding gaugino (higgsino) couplings to evolve to different values under renormalization group evolution. We re-examine the renormalization group equations (RGEs) for these couplings in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). To include threshold effects, we calculate the $β$-functions using a sequence of (non-supersymmetric) effective theories with heavy parti…
We evaluate O(alpha_b alpha_s) corrections in the MSSM Higgs boson sector, including an analysis of the renormalization in the bottom/scalar bottom sector. For mu < 0 the genuine two-loop corrections to the mass of the lightest Higgs boson mass can amount up to 3 GeV. Different renormalization schemes are applied and numerically compared. Likewise the residual dependence on the renormalization scale is investigated. This allows to determine the remaining theoretical uncertainties from unknown higher-order corrections at O(alpha_b alpha_s^2) for different regions of the MSSM parameter space.
Reaching a theoretical accuracy in the prediction of the lightest MSSM Higgs-boson mass, M_h, at the level of the current experimental precision requires the inclusion of momentum-dependent contributions at the two-loop level. Recently two groups presented the two-loop QCD momentum-dependent corrections to Mh [1,2], using a hybrid on-shell--DRbar scheme, with apparently different results. We show that the differences can be traced back to a different renormalization of the top-quark mass, and that the claim in [2] of an inconsistency in [1] is incorrect. We furthermore compare consistently the…
First we give a review of the spurion formalism and the exact renormalization group equations for soft supersymmetry breaking parameters in general gauge theories. Next we discuss the minimal supersymmetric standard model coupled to superconformal theories leading to hierarchical Yukawa couplings by large anomalous dimensions of quarks and leptons. The soft scalar masses are found to satisfy the noble sum rule in IR regime. It is possible construct the models such that the degenerate squark/slepton masses are realized thanks to this IR sum rule. However, it is found also that this degeneracy i…
A comparison of spectra obtained using the 1-loop MSSM and 2-loop R-parity violating MSSM renormalization group equations is presented. Influence of higher loop corrections and R-parity violating terms is discussed. Some numerical constraints on the R-parity violating parameters are also given.
Within the framework of the MSSM, we compute the complete set of electroweak one-loop supersymmetric quantum effects on the width $Γ_Z$ of the $Z$-boson in the on-shell renormalization scheme. Numerical analyses of the corrections to the various partial widths into leptons and quarks are presented. On general grounds, the average size of the electroweak SUSY corrections to $Γ_Z$ may well saturate the level of the present theoretical uncertainties, even if considering the full supersymmetric spectrum lying in the neighbourhood of the unaccessible LEP 200 range. Remarkably enough, for the presen…
We investigate possible renormalization effects on the low-energy mass spectrum of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM), using a calculable model of strongly coupled hidden sector. We model the hidden sector by N=2 supersymmetric quantum chromodynamics with gauge group SU(2) x U(1) and N_f=2 matter hypermultiplets, perturbed by a Fayet-Iliopoulos term which breaks the supersymmetry down to N=0 on a metastable vacuum. In the hidden sector the Kahler potential is renormalized. Upon identifying a hidden sector modulus with the renormalization scale, and extrapolating to the strongly c…
We study Radiative Electroweak Symmetry Breaking in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We employ the 2-loop Renormalization Group equations for running masses and couplings taking into account sparticle threshold effects. The decoupling of each particle below its threshold is realized by a step function in all one-loop Renormalization Group equations (RGE). This program requires the calculation of all wavefunction, vertex and mass renormalizations for all particles involved. Adapting our numerical routines to take care of the succesive decoupling of each particle below its thres…
We review the status of radiative corrections to SUSY processes. We present the method of the on-shell renormalization for the sfermion and the chargino/neutralino system and work out the appropriate renormalization conditions. In particular, we discuss slepton, squark, chargino and neutralino production in e+ e- collisions and the two-body decays of sfermions and of Higgs bosons into SUSY particles. It is necessary to take into account radiative corrections in the precision studies possible at a future linear e+ e- collider.
We describe the implementation of the renormalized complex MSSM (cMSSM) in the diagram generator FeynArts and the calculational tool FormCalc. This extension allows to perform UV-finite one-loop calculations of cMSSM processes almost fully automatically. The Feynman rules for the cMSSM with counterterms are available as a new model file for FeynArts. Also included are default definitions of the renormalization constants; this fixes the renormalization scheme. Beyond that all model parameters are generic, e.g. we do not impose any relations to restrict the number of input parameters. The model …

The renormalization of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) is presented. We describe symmetry identities that constitute a framework in which the MSSM is completely characterized and renormalizability can be proven. Furthermore, we discuss applications of this framework for the determination of symmetry-restoring counterterms, the gauge dependence of tan(beta) and the derivation of non-renormalization theorems.
We review an analysis of a consistent renormalization of the top and bottom quark/squark sector of the MSSM with complex parameters (cMSSM). Various renormalization schemes are defined, analyzed analytically and tested numerically in the decays Stop_2 -> Sbottom_i H^+/W^+ (i = 1,2). No scheme is found that produces numerically acceptable results over all the cMSSM parameter space, where problems occur mostly already for real parameters. Some numerical examples for Gamma(Stop_2 -> Sbottom_1 H^+) in our preferred scheme, "m_b, A_b DRbar" are shown.
Running of gauge couplings in the MSSM from a unified value at high energies leads to a successful prediction of the weak mixing angle. Supersymmetric models at the TeV scale may contain further hints of high scale physics, such as the pattern of superpartner masses when evolved from the TeV scale to a high scale using the renormalization group. This running is traditionally assumed to be independent of effects in the hidden sector. In this paper we re-examine this assumption, and conclude that the predictions for scalar masses may depend sensitively on the details of the mechanism of supersym…
We compute the one-loop radiative corrections to the masses of the top quark, the stop squarks and the gluino in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We include the loops controlled by the strong coupling constant and the top Yukawa coupling, neglecting those controlled by the $SU(2) \times U(1)$ gauge couplings and by other Yukawa couplings. We find that the significant scale-dependence of the renormalization-group-improved tree-level expressions is almost completely removed. Even for natural choices of the renormalization scale, corrections can be numerically relevant. Our results shou…
We study the renormalization group equations (RGEs) of the neutrino parameters in models of Minimal Lepton Flavor Violation. In such models, the RGEs can be described in terms of flavor spurions, such that only the coefficients depend on the specific model. We explicitly demonstrate this method for the SM and MSSM for both Type-I and Type-III seesaw models. For that purpose, the RGEs of neutrino parameters in the MSSM Type-III seesaw have been computed. We have extended this method to get the evolution equations at second order. The implications for leptogenesis are also discussed.
We re-examine the one-loop renormalization group equations (RGEs) for the dimensionful parameters of the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model with broken supersymmetry, allowing for arbitrary flavour structure of the soft SUSY breaking (SSB) parameters. We include threshold effects by evaluating the $β$-functions in a sequence of (non-supersymmetric) effective theories with heavy particles decoupled at the scale of their mass. We present the most general form for high scale SSB parameters that obtains if we assume that the supersymmetry breaking mechanism does not introduce new inter-generati…
We apply the perturbative grand unification due to renormalization to distinguish TeV-scale relics of supersymmetric $\rm{SO}(10)$ scenarios. With rational theoretical constraints taken into account, we find that for the breaking pattern of either $\rm{SU}(5)$ or Pati-Salam only extra matter $\mathbf{16}$ supermultiplet of $SO(10)$ can appear at TeV scale, apart from MSSM spectrum.
We study the hidden sector effects to the mass renormalization of a simplest gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking scenario. We point out that possible hidden sector contributions render the soft scalar masses smaller, resulting in drastically different sparticle mass spectrum at low energy. In particular, in the ${\bf 5}+\bar{\bf 5}$ minimal gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking with high messenger scale (that is favored by the gravitino cold dark matter scenario), we show that stau can be the next lightest superparticle for moderate values of hidden sector self coupling. This provides a very…
The renormalization of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model is discussed. In particular we focus on the soft-supersymmetry breaking sector of the MSSM and comment on non-renormalization theorems.
We derive one-loop renormalization group (RG) invariant observables and analyze their phenomenological implications in the MSSM and its μproblem solving extensions, U(1)' model and NMSSM. We show that there exist several RG invariants in the gauge, Yukawa and soft-breaking sectors of each model. In general, RG invariants are highly useful for projecting experimental data to messenger scale, for revealing correlations among the model parameters, and for probing the mechanism that breaks supersymmetry. The Yukawa couplings and trilinear soft terms in U(1)' model and NMSSM do not form RG invarian…
We stress the potential usefulness of renormalization group invariants. Especially particular combinations thereof could for instance be used as probes into patterns of supersymmetry breaking in the MSSM at inaccessibly high energies. We search for these renormalization group invariants in two systematic ways: on the one hand by making use of symmetry arguments and on the other by means of a completely automated exhaustive search through a large class of candidate invariants. At the one-loop level, we find all known invariants for the MSSM and in fact several more, and extend our results to th…
We propose, for the computation of the Higgs mass spectrum and couplings, a renormalization-group improved leading-log approximation, where the renormalization scale is fixed to the top-quark pole mass. For the case $m_A\sim M_{\rm SUSY}$, our leading-log approximation differs by less than 2 GeV from previous results on the Higgs mass computed using a nearly scale independent renormalization-group improved effective potential up to next-to-leading order. Moreover, for the general case $m_A\simlt M_{\rm SUSY}$, we provide analytical formulae (including two-loop leading-log corrections) for all …
We present an overview of the status and recent developments of FeynHiggs (current version: 2.14.3) since version 2.12.2. The main purpose of FeynHiggs is the calculation of the Higgs-boson masses and other physical observables in the MSSM. For a precise prediction of the Higgs-boson masses for low and high SUSY scales, state-of-the-art fixed-order and effective-field-theory calculations are combined. We first discuss improvements of the fixed-order calculation, namely an optional $\overline{\text{DR}}$ renormalization of the stop sector and a renormalization of the Higgs sector ensuring the c…
We present the renormalization scheme used in and the characteristic features of GRACE/SUSY-loop, the package of the program for the automatic calculation of the MSSM processes including one-loop order corrections. The two-body and three-body decay widths of charginos in one-loop order evaluated by GRACE/SUSY-loop are shown.
The renormalization of a system of coupled scalars fields is analyzed. By introducing a momentum dependent mixing angle we diagonalize the inverse propagator matrix at any momentum $p^2$. The zeros of the inverse propagator matrix, \ie, the physical masses, are then calculated keeping the full momentum dependence of the self energies. The relation between this method and others previously published is studied. This idea is applied to the one-loop renormalization of the CP-even neutral Higgs sector of the Minimal Supersymmetric Model, considering top and bottom quarks and squarks in the loops. …
We present an application of the reduction of couplings program in the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We investigate if a functional relation between $α_1$ and $α_2$ gauge couplings can be realized which is Renormalization Group Invariant (RGI). Following the same procedure for the top and bottom Yukawa couplings we end up with a prediction of a narrow window for tan$β$, which is one of the basic parameters that determine the light Higgs mass.
We present the results of the calculation of QCD corrections to the matching conditions for the Wilson coefficients of operators mediating the transition b->s l^+l^- in the context of the MSSM. Within a scenario with decoupled heavy gluino the calculated contributions together with those present already in the literature allow for the first time a complete NNLO analysis of B->X_s l^+l^-. We study the impact of the QCD corrections and the reduction of renormalization scale dependencies for the dilepton invariant mass distribution and the forward-backward asymmetry in the inclusive decay B->X_s …
Coherently oscillating scalar condensates formed along flat directions of the MSSM scalar potential are unstable with respect to spatial perturbations if the potential is flatter than phi^2, resulting in the formation of non-topological solitons such as Q-balls. Using renormalization group we calculate the corrections to the phi^2 potential for a range of flat directions and show that unstable condensates are a generic feature of the MSSM. Exceptions arise for an experimentally testable range of stop and gluino masses when there are large admixtures of stops in the flat direction scalar.
Results for the leading two-loop corrections of $\mathcal{O}{\left(α_t^2\right)}$ from the Yukawa sector to the Higgs-boson masses of the MSSM with complex parameters are presented. The corresponding self-energies and their renormalization have been obtained in a Feynman-diagrammatic approach. A numerical analysis of the new contributions is performed for the mass of the lightest Higgs boson, supplemented by the full one-loop result and the $\mathcal{O}{\left(α_t α_s\right)}$ terms including complex phases. In the limit of the real MSSM a previous result is confirmed.
We evaluate two-body decay modes of neutralinos in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with complex parameters (cMSSM). Assuming heavy scalar quarks we take into account all two-body decay channels involving charginos, neutralinos, (scalar) leptons, Higgs bosons and Standard Model gauge bosons. The evaluation of the decay widths is based on a full one-loop calculation including hard and soft QED radiation. Of particular phenomenological interest are decays involving the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle (LSP), i.e. the lightest neutralino, or a neutral or charged Higgs boson. For the char…
We examine the renormalization group evolution (RGE) for different mixing scenarios in the presence of seesaw threshold effects from high energy scale (GUT) to the low electroweak (EW) scale in the Standard Model (SM) and Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We consider four mixing scenarios namely Tri-Bimaximal Mixing, Bimaximal Mixing, Hexagonal Mixing and Golden Ratio Mixing which come from different flavor symmetries at the GUT scale. We find that the Majorana phases play an important role in the RGE running of these mixing patterns along with the seesaw threshold corrections. We …
In this paper, we first demonstrate the existence of renormalization group invariant relations among the top, bottom Yukawa and the gauge colour couplings in the minimal supersymmetric SM. Based on this observation and assuming furthermore the existence of a renormalization group invariant relation among the trilinear couplings in the superpotential and the soft supersymmetry breaking sector, we obtain predictions for the Higgs masses and the supersymmetric spectrum.
Results for the two-loop corrections to the Higgs-boson masses of the MSSM with complex parameters of $\mathcal{O}{\left(α_t^2+α_tα_b+α_b^2\right)}$ from the Yukawa sector in the gauge-less limit are presented. The corresponding self-energies and their renormalization have been obtained in the Feynman-diagrammatic approach. The impact of the new contributions on the Higgs spectrum is investigated. Furthermore, a comparison with an existing result in the limit of the MSSM with real parameters is carried out. The new results will be included in the public code $\texttt{FeynHiggs}$.
In the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with complex parameters (cMSSM) we perform a complete one-loop calculation for the Higgs boson masses (including the momentum dependence) and the mixing angles. These corrections are obtained in the Feynman-diagrammatic approach using the on-shell renormalization scheme. The impact of the newly evaluated corrections is analyzed numerically. The full one-loop result, supplemented by the leading two-loop contributions taken over from the real MSSM are implemented into the public Fortran code FeynHiggs2.0.
We perform a systematic study of the one-loop renormalization-group-improved effective potential of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM), including CP violation induced radiatively by soft trilinear interactions related to squarks of the third generation. We calculate the charged and neutral Higgs-boson masses and couplings, including the two-loop logarithmic corrections that arise from QCD effects, as well as those associated with the top- and bottom-quark Yukawa couplings. We also include the potentially large two-loop non-logarithmic corrections induced by one-l…
We review the comparison of the results for the neutral CP-even Higgs-boson masses recently obtained within the Feynman-diagrammatic approach with the previous results based on the renormalization group approach. We show that the results differ by new genuine two-loop contributions present in the Feynman-diagrammatic calculation. The numerical effect of these terms on the result for m_h is briefly discussed.
We present a complete analysis of scenarios with radiatively generated neutrino masses that may occur in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with low-scale right-handed neutrinos. For brevity, we call such a model the $ν_R$MSSM. We pay particular attention to the impact of the non-renormalization theorem of supersymmetry (SUSY) on the loop-induced neutrino masses, by performing our computations in the weak and flavour bases. In particular, we find that the smallness of the observed light neutrino masses may naturally arise due to a soft SUSY-screening effect from a nearly supersymmetric …
We present a calculation of the two-loop bottom-sbottom-gluino contributions to Higgs boson production via gluon fusion in the MSSM. The calculation is based on an asymptotic expansion in the masses of the supersymmetric particles, which are assumed to be much heavier than the bottom quark and the Higgs bosons. We obtain explicit analytic results that allow for a straightforward identification of the dominant contributions in the NLO bottom corrections. We emphasize the interplay between the calculations of the masses and the production cross sections of the Higgs bosons, discussing sensible c…
The renormalization group equations for the general 2 by 2, complex, neutrino mass matrix are shown to have exact, analytic solutions. Simple formulas are given for the physical mixing angle, complex phase and mass ratio in terms of their initial values and the energy scales. We also establish a (complex) renormalization invariant relating these parameters. The qualitative features of the physical parameters' renormalization are clearly illustrated in vector field plots. In both the SM and MSSM, maximal mixing is a saddle point.
We identify a parameter region where the mass of the lightest CP-even Higgs boson resides in $124.4-126.8$ GeV, and at the same time the degree of tuning a Higgsino-mass parameter (so-called $μ$-parameter) is relaxed above 10% in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) with soft supersymmetry breaking terms, by solving the full set of one-loop renormalization group equations numerically. It is found that certain nonuniversal values of gaugino-mass parameters at the so-called grand unification theory (GUT) scale $\sim 10^{16}$ GeV are important ingredients for the MSSM to predict, with…
Recent higher-order results for precision observables in the Standard Model (SM) and the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) and for the neutral CP-even Higgs-boson masses of the MSSM are summarized. Furthermore a brief discussion of the technical aspects of evaluating higher-order corrections in the electroweak theory is given. In the SM, results for the Higgs-mass dependence of the precision observables are analyzed. The exact two-loop results for the Higgs-mass dependence of the fermionic contributions are compared with the results of an expansion in the top-quark mass up to next-t…
RGEs for coefficients of dim-5 operators giving rise to neutrino masses in the seesaw mechanism are written down in the SM, 2HDM and MSSM, and solved numerically. RG evolution of these coefficients modifies tree-level seesaw predictions for neutrino masses and mixing angles in SO(10)-type GUT models as strongly as quark Yukawa coupling evolution.
Results for the leading two-loop corrections of $\mathcal{O}{\left(α_t^2\right)}$ from the Yukawa sector to the Higgs-boson mass spectrum of the MSSM with complex parameters are presented, with details of the analytical calculation performed in the Feynman-diagrammatic approach using a mixed $\left.\text{on-shell}\middle/\,\overline{\text{DR}}\right.$ scheme that can be directly matched onto the higher-order terms in the code ${\tt FeynHiggs}$. Numerical results are shown for the masses and mixing effects in the neutral Higgs-boson sector and their variation with the phases of the complex para…
We deduce the gluino contribution to the three-loop QCD quark mass anomalous dimension function within the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) from its standard QCD expression. This work is a continuation of the program of computation of MSSM renormalization group functions.
The momentum dependent two-loop contributions of the order $\mathcal{O}$($α_s α_t$) to the masses in the Higgs-boson sector of the MSSM are computed. Adopting the Feynman-diagrammatic approach and using a mixed on-shell/$\overline{DR}$ renormalization scheme, the new corrections can directly be matched onto the higher-order corrections included in the code FeynHiggs. Two-loop diagrams involving several mass scales are evaluated with the program SecDec. The combination of the new momentum dependent two-loop contribution with the existing one- and two-loop corrections leads to an improved predic…
The renormalization group equations(RGEs) of non-universal soft supersymmetric breaking terms with CP violating phases are analyzed in this paper. We obtain the analytic solutions of RGEs by directly solving the RGEs themselves. Compared with the method of spurion expansion our approach proves to be simple and succinct, and easy to extend to the case of complex parameters. With the analytical forms of the solutions we obtained the infrared quasi fixed point behavior of soft terms are analyzed and it turns out to support the notion in scenarios with CP violating phases.
The mass spectrum of the chargino--neutralino sector in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) is calculated at the one-loop level, based on the complete set of one-loop diagrams. On-shell renormalization conditions are applied to determine the counterterms for the gaugino-mass-parameters $M_1, M_2$ and the Higgsino-mass parameter $μ$. The input is fixed in terms of three pole masses (two charginos and one neutralino); the other pole masses receive a shift with respect to the tree-level masses, which can amount to several GeV. The detailed evaluation shows that both the fermionic/sfe…
