In this article we study D1-D3 (or $\bar{\textrm{D}3}$) brane systems with generic constant electric and magnetic fluxes in IIB string theory. We work out all possible supersymmetric configurations and find out via T-duality all of them and corresponding supersymmetry conditions could be related to the supersymmetric intersecting D1-D1 pairs. And we do D1-D3 (or $\bar{\textrm{D}3}$) open string quantization for a class of configurations. We find that there are many near massless states in NS sector for near-BPS configurations. Furthermore we calculate open string pair creation rate in generic nonsupersymmetric configurations.

The $\textrm{T}\bar{\textrm{T}}$ perturbation and its geometric interpretation

Starting from the recently-discovered $\textrm{T}\bar{\textrm{T}}$-perturbed Lagrangians, we prove that the deformed solutions to the classical EoMs for bosonic field theories are equivalent to the unperturbed ones but for a specific field-dependent local change of coordinates. This surprising geometric outcome is fully consistent with the identification of $\textrm{T}\bar{\textrm{T}}$-deformed 2D quantum field theories as topological JT gravity coupled to generic matter fields. $Λ_{\bar{\textrm{MS}}}^{(n_f=2)}$ from a momentum space analysis of the quark-antiquark static potential

We determine $Λ_{\bar{\textrm{MS}}}^{(n_f=2)}$ by fitting perturbative expressions for the quark-antiquark static potential to lattice results for QCD with $n_f=2$ dynamical quark flavors. To this end we use the perturbative static potential at the presently best known accuracy, i.e. up to ${\cal O}(α_s^4)$, in momentum space. In the appropriate limit, a type IIB string theory setup involving D3 branes, wrapped D5 branes, and fluxes on a conifold generally leads to a supergravity background involving a warped version of the conifold with fluxes. Volume Stabilization via $α^\prime$ Corrections in Type IIB Theory with Fluxes

We consider the Type IIB string theory in the presence of various extra $7/\bar 7$-brane pairs compactified on a warped Calabi-Yau threefold that admits a conifold singularity. We demonstrate that the volume modulus can be stabilized perturbatively at a non-supersymmetric $AdS_4/dS_4$ vacuum by the effective potential that includes the stringy $(α^\prime)^3$ correction obtained by Becker {\it et al.} together with a combination of positive tension and anomalous negative tension terms generated by the additional 7-brane-antibrane pairs.

IIB Soliton Spectra with All Fluxes Activated

Building upon an earlier proposal for the classification of fluxes, a sequence is proposed which generalizes the AHSS by computing type IIB string theory's group of conserved RR and also NS charges, which is conjectured to be a K-theory of dual pairs. As a test, the formalism of Maldacena, Moore and Seiberg (hep-th/0108100) is applied to classify D-branes, NS5-branes, F-strings and their dielectric counterparts in IIB compactified on a 3-sphere with both NS and RR background fluxes.
