We investigate charged tracks signals of a supersymmetric scenario, where the lighter stop is the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle (NLSP). It is found that such an NLSP is stable on the scale of the detector at the LHC if one has a right-chiral sneutrino as the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP). After identifying some benchmark points in the parameter space of a supergravity scenario with non-universal scalar masses, we study a few specific classes of signals, namely, stop pair production and gluino pair production followed by each decaying into a stop and a top. It is shown that proper kinematic cuts remove the backgrounds in each case, and, while a few months' worth of data is sufficient to have copious events in the first case, one may require 300 $fb^{-1}$ for the other. One can also aspire to reconstruct the gluino mass, using the `visible' stable NLSP tracks.
Right-handed neutrinos offer us the possibility of accommodating neutrino masses. In a supersymmetric model, this implies the existence of right-handed sneutrinos. Right-handed sneutrinos are expected to be as light as other supersymmetric particles if the neutrinos are Dirac fermions, or if the lepton-number breaking scale is at (or below) the supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking scale, assumed to be around the electroweak scale. Depending on the mechanism of SUSY breaking, the lightest right-handed sneutrino may be the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP). We consider the unique hadron collider s…
We discuss pair production and decays of stops, sbottoms, $τ$-sneutrinos, and staus in $e^+e^-$ annihilation in the energy range $\sqrt{s} = 500 GeV$ to 2 TeV. Numerical predictions within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) for cross sections and decay rates are presented. We study the stop discovery potential for $\sqrt{s} = 500 GeV$ and $10 \fb^{-1}$ integrated luminosity for polarized e^- beams. Moreover, we give an estimate of the error of the soft-breaking stop and sbottom parameters that can be obtained by cross section measurements with polarized e^- beams.
Stop searches in supersymmetric frameworks with $R$-parity conservation usually assume the lightest neutralino to be the lightest supersymmetric particle. In this paper we consider an alternative scenario in which the left-handed tau sneutrino is lighter than neutralinos and stable at collider scales, but possibly unstable at cosmological scales. Moreover the (mostly right-handed) stop $\widetilde t$ is lighter than all electroweakinos, and heavier than the scalars of the third generation doublet, whose charged component, $\widetildeτ$, is heavier than the neutral one, $\widetildeν$. The remai…
We discuss production and decays of stops, sbottoms, tau-sneutrinos, and staus in e+e- annihilation in the energy range \sqrt{s} = 0.5-1 TeV. We present numerical predictions within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model for cross sections and decay rates, including one-loop radiative corrections as well as initial state radiation. We also study the importance of beam polarization for the determination of the underlying SUSY parameters. Moreover, we make a comparison of the potential to study squarks and sleptons of the 3rd generation between Tevatron, LHC, and Linear Collider.
The pair production of tau sneutrinos in $e^{+}e^{-}$ collisions and their subsequent decays are studied in a framework of the supersymmetric extension of the standard model. We present an analysis for the parameter space (BR vs. mass) which could be explored at the future high energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ colliders.
Decays of sneutrinos are considered in the case that in the presence of lepton-number violation in the sneutrino sector the lighter tau-sneutrino is the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle and the Cold Dark Matter in the Universe. In such circumstances the signals from sparticle decays differ considerably from the ``standard'' case where the lightest neutralino is the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle and it is found that in a wide range of parameters compatible with the sneutrino Cold Dark Matter hypothesis signatures characteristic for such a scenario should be easily observable at for example a…
In supersymmetric models with R-parity violating interactions, sneutrinos may be produced as $s$-channel resonances at $μ^+ μ^-$ colliders. We demonstrate that, for R-parity violating couplings as low as $10^{-4}$, sneutrinos can be discovered and their couplings measured to high accuracy. The excellent beam energy resolution of muon colliders is found to be especially useful for studying such resonances in certain cases.
We have explored a minimal supersymmetric standard model scenario extended by one pair of gauge singlets per generation. In the model light neutrino masses and their mixings are generated via inverse seesaw mechanism. In such a scenario, a right-handed sneutrino can be the lightest supersymmetric particle and a cold Dark Matter (DM) candidate. If Casas-Ibarra parametrisation is imposed on the Dirac neutrino Yukawa coupling matrix ($Y_ν$) to fit the neutrino oscillation data, the resulting $Y_ν$ is highly constrained from the lepton flavor violating (LFV) decay constraints. The smallness of $Y_…
We consider the sneutrino resonance reaction l^+ l^- -> sneutrino -> tau^+ tau^- in the MSSM without R-parity. We introduce new CP-violating and CP-conserving tau-spin asymmetries which are generated already at the tree-level if there is sneutrino - sneutrino-bar mixing and that are forbidden in the SM. It is remarkable that these spin asymmetries can reach ~75% around resonance for a sneutrino mass splitting of Δm ~ Γand ~10% for a splitting as low as Δm ~ 0.1Γ, where Γis the sneutrino width. We show that they are easily detectable already at LEP2 so long as the beam energy is within ~10 GeV …
In supersymmetric models with R-parity violation, sneutrinos may be produced as s-channel resonances at muon colliders. We demonstrate that, for R-parity violating couplings as low as 10^-4, sneutrino resonances may be observed and may be exploited to yield high precision SUSY parameter measurements. The excellent beam energy resolution of muon colliders may also be used to resolve MeV level splittings between CP-even and CP-odd sneutrino mass eigenstates.
We consider implications of the loop process sneutrino -> gamma gamma in the MSSM with R-parity violation for future experiments, where the sneutrino is produced as the only supersymmetric particle. We present a scenario for the R-parity violating couplings, where this clean decay, although rare with Br(sneutrino -> gamma gamma) ~ 10^{-6}, may be useful for sneutrino detection over a range of sneutrino masses at the LHC. Furthermore, the new sneutrino-gamma-gamma effective coupling may induce detectable sneutrino resonant production in gamma gamma collisions, over a considerably wide mass rang…
We investigate single sneutrino production in the context of R-parity-violating Supersymmetry at future $γγ$ linear colliders. The sneutrino is produced in association with fermion pairs and it is shown that its decays into two further fermions will lead to a clean signal. We also discuss possible backgrounds and the effects of beam polarisation.
We study the production of a single sneutrino in association with one or two $b$-quarks at hadron colliders, in the framework of an R-parity violating supersymmetric model. We find that at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) four $b$ final states are promising with efficient b-tagging. $l^+l'^-$ decay modes of the sneutrino can also be viable for detection at the LHC. However, the branching ratio for rare $γγ$ decay channel is too small to be seen.
Sneutrino resonances at a high energy linear e+e- collider may be one of the clearest signals of supersymmetry without R-parity, especially when the R-parity-violating coupling is too small to produce observable excesses in four-fermion processes. However, there is no guarantee that the sneutrino pole will lie anywhere near the machine energy. We show that associated photon production induces the necessary energy spread, and that the resonance then leaves a clear imprint in the photon spectrum. It follows that tagging of a hard mono-energetic photon for a variety of possible final states provi…
We investigate the potentials of future high energy lepton-proton colliders to detect supersymmetric particles in the charged current type $lp\to\tildeν_l\tilde qX$, $l=e,μ$, reactions. We also study their decays by using the mass spectrum given in the Technical Design Report of ATLAS Collaboration (SUGRA Point 6 corresponding to large $tanβ$).
Supersymmetry relates neutrinos with their superpartners, sneutrinos. Unlike neutrinos, sneutrinos may decay visibly in colliders. We discuss how we could get information from neutrino Yukawa couplings in the NMSSM extended with right-handed neutrinos, if the right-handed sneutrinos are within the reach of the colliders.
We discuss the phenomenology of third generation sfermions paying particular attention to the implications of the Yukawa couplings and to the left-right mixing. Analytical formulae are given for the sfermion mixing, the production cross sections at e+e- colliders, and for all possible two body decay widths that can occur at tree level. In case of the light stop stop we give in addition the analytical formulae for the most important three body decay widths. We give detailed numerical discussion of the various production cross sections at LEP2 and a future e+e- Linear Collider. We discuss the va…
The single production of fourth family sneutrino $\tildeν_{4}$ via R-parity violating interactions in electron-positron collisions has been investigated. We study the decays of $\tildeν_{4}$ into different flavor dilepton $e^{\pm}μ^{\mp}$ via R-parity violation. It is shown that R-parity violating couplings $(λ_{411},λ_{412})$ down to 0.001 will be reachable at future linear colliders which would provide better accuracy comparing to the indirect measurements as complementary to the LHC results.
Sneutrino-antisneutrino mixing occurs in a supersymmetric model where neutrinos have nonzero Majorana masses. This can lead to the sneutrino decaying into a final state with a "wrong-sign charged lepton". In an $e^- γ$ collider, the signal of the associated production of an electron-sneutrino and the lighter chargino and their subsequent decays can be $e^- γ\to e^+ {\tilde τ}_1^- {\tilde τ}_1^- + \mpT$ where the ${\tilde τ}_1$s are long-lived and can produce heavily ionizing charged tracks. This signal is free of any Standard Model background, and the supersymmetric backgrounds are small. Such…
We present a complete next to next to leading order QCD corrections to the resonant sneutrino and charged slepton production cross sections at hadronic colliders such as the Tevatron and the Large Hadron Collider within the context of $R$-parity violating supersymmetric model. We have demonstrated the role of these corrections in reducing uncertainties resulting from renormalisation and factorisation scales and thereby making our predictions reliable. We have incorporated soft gluon effects at $N^3LO$ level in order to study the stability of our results under perturbation. The NNLO corrections…
We consider the three--body decay stop_1 -> b tau+ tau-sneutrino and propose the asymmetry of the tau polarization perpendicular to the decay plane as a CP sensitive observable. We calculate this asymmetry in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model taking the parameters mu and A_t complex. In the parameter domain where the decay stop_1 -> b tau+ tau-sneutrino is important this asymmetry can go up to 30%. We also estimate the event rates necessary to observe this asymmetry at 90% CL.
Sneutrino-antisneutrino mixing occurs in a supersymmetric model where neutrinos have nonzero Majorana masses. This can lead to the sneutrino decaying into a final state with a "wrong-sign charged lepton". Hence, in an $e^- γ$ collider, the signal of the associated production of an electron-sneutrino and the lighter chargino and their subsequent decays can be $e^- γ\to e^+ {\tilde τ}_1^- {\tilde τ}_1^- + \mpT$ where the ${\tilde τ}_1$s are long-lived and can produce heavily ionizing charged tracks. This signal is free of any Standard Model background and the supersymmetric backgrounds are small…
We perform a systematic study of sneutrino production and decays in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with lepton flavour violation (LFV). We study bosonic decays of sneutrinos as well as fermionic ones. We show that the effect of slepton generation mixing on the sneutrino production and decays can be quite large in a significant part of the MSSM parameter space despite the very strong experimental limits on LFV processes. This could have an important impact on the search for sneutrinos and the determination of the MSSM parameters at LHC and future colliders, such as ILC, CLIC a…
Complementing the preceding study of charged scalar leptons, the sector of the neutral scalar leptons, sneutrinos, is investigated in a high-precision analysis for future e+e- linear colliders. The theoretical predictions for the cross-sections are calculated at the thresholds for non-zero widths and in the continuum including higher-order corrections at the one-loop level. Methods for measuring the sneutrino masses and the electron-sneutrino-gaugino Yukawa couplings are presented, addressing theoretical problems specific for the sneutrino channels.
We analyze the associated production at future high--energy $e^+e^-$ colliders, of first generation sleptons with neutralinos and charginos in the modes $e^+ e^-$ and $e γ$, in the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model. We show that the production rates, in particular for associated production of right--handed selectrons and the lightest neutralino which in general is the first accessible kinematically, can be much larger than the corresponding ones for second and third generation scalar leptons and for scalar quarks. With the high--luminosities expected at th…
We investigate the signals of a supersymmetric scenario where the lighter tau-sneutrino is the lightest supersymmetric particle, while the lighter stau-state is the next lightest. We confirm that such a scenario can be motivated within the framework of minimal supergravity, with just the addition of a right-chiral neutrino superfield. Such a spectrum leads to rather unusual signals of supersymmetry, showing stable tracks of the stau in the muon chambers. We have studied two types of signals, namely, (a) two or more hard jets and two stau tracks, and (b) hard jets with two muons and two stau tr…
It is generally accepted that experiments at an e+e- linear colliders will be able to extract the masses of the selectron as well as the associated sneutrinos with a precision of ~ 1% by determining the kinematic end points of the energy spectrum of daughter electrons produced in their two body decays to a lighter neutralino or chargino. Recently, it has been suggested that by studying the energy dependence of the cross section near the production threshold, this precision can be improved by an order of magnitude, assuming an integrated luminosity of 100 fb^-1. It is further suggested that the…
It is shown that "right" sneutrino can be the lightest supersymmetric particle. Clearly, this possibility will drastically change decay chains of SUSY particles. The sneutrino production at next linear colliders has been analyzed in this scenario.
We present an outlook for possible R-parity violating SUSY search at gamma-proton and gamma-electron colliders. Single production of third generation slepton/sneutrino through the lambda'-ijk couplings at a gamma-p collider is investigated and compared with the results of the resonant sfermion productions at the existing colliders. Also single sneutrino production at a future gamma-electron collider through the lambda(ijk) couplings is disussed.
For gravitino dark matter with conserved R-parity and mass in the GeV range, very strong constraints from Big Bang Nucleosynthesis exclude the popular NLSP candidates like neutralino and charged sleptons. In this letter we therefore draw attention to the case of a sneutrino NLSP, that is naturally realised in the context of gaugino mediation. We find interesting collider signatures, characterised by soft jets or leptons due to the small sneutrino--stau mass splitting. Moreover, the lightest neutralino can have visible decays into staus, and in some part of the parameter space also into selectr…
The prevalent Dark Matter (DM) candidate of the (B-L) Supersymmetric Standard Model (BLSSM) is the Right Handed (RH) sneutrino. In this work we assess the ability of ground and space based experiments to establish the nature of this particle, through indirect and collider detection.
In supersymmetric models with Dirac neutrino masses, a left-right mixed sneutrino can be a viable dark matter candidate. We examine the MSSM+$\tildeν_R$ parameter space where this is the case with particular emphasis on light sneutrinos with masses below 10 GeV. We discuss implications for direct and indirect dark matter searches, including the relevant uncertainties, as well as consequences for collider phenomenology.
In supersymmetric models with Dirac neutrinos, the lightest sneutrino can be an excellent thermal dark matter candidate when the soft sneutrino trilinear parameter is large. We focus on scenarios where the mass of the mixed sneutrino is of the order of GeV and sensitivity of dark matter direct detection is weak. We investigate phenomenological constraints on the model parameter space including the vacuum stability bound. We show that the allowed regions can be explored by measuring Higgs boson properties at future collider experiments.
The current searches of supersymmetry (SUSY) are based on the neutralino lightest sparticle (LSP). In this article we instead focus on SUSY with sneutrino LSP. It is well motivated in many contexts, especially in which sneutrino services as a dark matter candidate. We first develop a simplified model, which contains the stop, chagino/neutralino and sneutrino, to describe the LHC phenomenologies of a large class of models with sneutrino LSP. Then we investigate bounds on the model using the SUSY searches at the 8 TeV LHC. Strong exclusion limits are derived, e.g., masses of stop and chargino ca…
A low-scale neutrino seesaw may be probed or even reconstructed at colliders provided that supersymmetry is at the weak scale and the LSP is a sterile sneutrino. Because the neutrino Yukawa couplings are small, the NLSP is typically long-lived and thus a significant fraction of colored or charged NLSPs may stop in the detector material before decaying to the LSP and a charged lepton, gauge boson, or Higgs. For two-body NLSP decays, the energy spectrum of the visible decay product exhibits a monochromatic line for each sterile sneutrino which can be used to extract the sterile sneutrino masses …
Lepton number violation could be manifest in the sneutrino sector of supersymmetric extensions of the standard model with conserved R-parity. Then sneutrinos decay partly into the ``wrong sign charged lepton'' final state, if kinematically accessible. In sneutrino pair production or associated single sneutrino production, the signal then is a like sign dilepton final state. Under favourable circumstances, such a signal could be visible at the LHC or a next generation linear collider for a relative sneutrino mass-splitting of order ${\cal O}(0.001)$ and sneutrino width of order ${\cal O}$(1 GeV…
The recent intriguing measurements of $R_{K}$ and $R_{K^*}$ are important hints of new physics that violates lepton universality. We analyze the semileptonic decays $b \to s \ell^+ \ell^-$ in the framework of the $B-L$ extension of Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with Inverse Seesaw (BLSSMIS). A salient feature of this model is that one of the right-handed sneutrino can be light and the neutrino Yukawa couplings are of order one. We show that the box diagram mediated by right-handed sneutrino, higgsino-like chargino, and light stop can account simultaneously for both $R_{K}$ and $…
In supersymmetric models with nonzero Majorana neutrino mass, the sneutrino and antisneutrino mix, which may lead to same sign dilepton signals in future collider experiments. We point out that the anomaly-mediated supersymmetry breaking scenario has a good potential to provide an observable rate of such signals for the neutrino masses suggested by the atmospheric and solar neutrino oscillations. The sneutrino mixing rate is naturally enhanced by m_{3/2}/m_{\tildeν}={\cal O}(4π/α) while the sneutrino decay rate is small enough on a sizable portion of the parameter space. We point out also that…
Contrary to common expectation, a left-sneutrinos can occasionally be the lightest supersymmet- ric particle. This has important implications in both collider and dark matter studies. We show that same-sign tri-lepton (SS3L) events at the Large Hadron Collider, with any lepton having opposite sign vetoed, distinguish such scenarios, up to gluino masses exceeding 2 TeV. The jets + M ET signal rate is somewhat suppressed in this case, thus enhancing the scope of leptonic signals.
The invisible signals of right-handed sneutrino decays originating from a Z' are analysed at the Large Hadron Collider. The possibility of accessing these events helps disentangling the B-L extension of Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model from more popular scenarios of Supersymmetry. We assess the scope of the CERN machine in establishing the aforementioned signatures when accompanied by mono-jet, single-photon or Z-radiation probes through sophisticated signal-to-background simulations carried out in presence of parton shower, hadronisation as well as detector effects. We find substantial s…
The chargino pair production in $e^-e^-$ collisions with their subsequent decays are considered within SUSY models with R-parity violation and with lepton number non-conservation. The production process ($\sqrt{s}=1$ TeV) is predicted to be large in a wide range of both sneutrino and chargino masses. The influence of all virtual sneutrino states and their mixings with electrons are taken into account. Some specific situations are pointed out when significant suppressions of the cross section can take place. The chargino decays are discussed for either the chargino as LSP or the chargino as hea…
For points in SUSY parameter space where the sneutrino is lighter than the lightest chargino and next-to-lightest neutralino, its direct mass determination from sneutrino pair production process at e+e- collider is impossible since it decays invisibly. In such a scenario the sneutrino can be discovered and its mass determined from measurements of two-body decays of charginos produced in pairs at the ILC. Using the event generator WHIZARD we study the prospects of measuring sneutrino properties in a realistic ILC environment. In our analysis we include beamstrahlung, initial state radiation, a …
We study the prospects for detecting the sleptons of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model at hadron colliders and supercolliders. We use ISAJET 7.03 to simulate charged slepton and sneutrino pair production, incorporating slepton and sneutrino cascade decays into our analysis. We find that even with an accumulation of $\sim 1$fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity, it will be very difficult to detect sleptons beyond the reach of LEP at the Fermilab Tevatron $p\bar{p}$ collider, due to a large background from $W$ pair production. At LHC, sleptons of mass up to 300 GeV ought to be detectable vi…
Although the sneutrino is a viable NLSP candidate with gravitino LSP, spectra of this type occupy a part of SUSY parameter space in which collider signatures are poorly studied. In this paper we will extend previous work on this topic to include sneutrino NLSP spectra with non-minimal phenomenology. Generally, these spectra exhibit very leptophilic behavior, which can be easily observed at the LHC. We show that a variety of such spectra can be analysed with similar techniques, leading in each case to very suggestive evidence for complicated decay chains that end in sneutrinos. Amongst the vari…
We explore right-handed sneutrino-antisneutrino mixing in a TeV scale B-L extension of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), (B-L)SSM, where a type I seesaw mechanism of light neutrino mass generation is naturally implemented. The constraints imposed on the mass splitting between heavy right-handed sneutrino and the corresponding antisneutrino by the experimental limits set on the light neutrino masses are investigated. We also study direct pair production of such right-handed sneutrinos at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and its decay modes, emphasising that their decay into same-…
The sneutrino is a viable candidate for the NLSP in SUSY spectra with gravitino LSP. In this work we study the collider implications of this possibility. In particular, we investigate whether the LHC can distinguish it (at least, in some cases) from alternative spectra, such as those with a neutralino LSP. We show that there exists a complete family of experimentally allowed and theoretically motivated spectra with sneutrino NLSP, which exhibit very distinctive multilepton signals that are difficult to fake within the MSSM. We study these signals in detail, including the techniques necessary t…
Scenarios where left- and right-handed sneutrinos mix and the lightest mixed one act as a thermal dark matter candidate can solve the dark matter, neutrino mass, and hierarchy problems simultaneously. We focus on the dark matter mass region of the order of 1 GeV, where dark matter direct detections are insensitive. We calculate the decay rate of a false vacuum induced by a large sneutrino trilinear coupling as well as other observables constrained by experiments. As a result, we show that there is an allowed region where the mass of the lightest neutralino is around 1 GeV. The allowed region c…
We have considered a supersymmetric scenario in which the minimal supersymmetric standard model is augmented with a right-chiral neutrino superfield for each generation. Such a scenario can have a lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) dominated by the right-chiral sneutrino state and the lighter stau as the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle (NLSP). This can easily be motivated by assuming a high scale framework of supersymmetry breaking like minimal supergravity (mSUGRA). Due to the extremely small neutrino Yukawa coupling, the decay of the NLSP to the LSP is suppressed and consequentl…
The data obtained by the LHC collaborations clearly show that supersymmetric models are not realized in nature in a vanilla form and that in particular strongly interacting supersymmetric particles are most likely heavier than expected. An exception are the partners of the third generation quarks, which also play a dominant role in the breaking of the electroweak symmetry. We consider here an extended class of so-called `natural supersymmetric models' where we allow for a sneutrino as the lightest supersymmetric particle as it appears for example in left-right symmetric models and/or models wh…
Supersymmetric extensions to the standard model provide viable dark matter candidates, and can introduce additional charge-parity (CP) violation, needed for obtaining the observed baryon asymmetry of the universe. We study the possibilities of scalar and neutralino dark matter with spontaneous CP violation in the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model with a right handed neutrino. The observed relic density can be produced both by neutralino and right handed sneutrino as the lightest supersymmetric particle, but when CP is violated, the new annihilation channels lower the achieved relic…
Single production at hadron and photon colliders of gluinos and sneutrinos of supersymmetric models, as well as radions of the Randall-Sundrum model, is discussed. In the case of supersymmetry, R-parity breaking is needed in order to produce single susy particles. Resonant production of radions is considered at gamma-gamma collider.
We discuss phenomenological consequences of some class of supersymmetric seesaw models in which the right-handed (s)neutrino mass is given to be TeV scale. In this scenario, scalar trilinear interaction of Higgs-slepton-(right-handed) sneutrino is enhanced. We show that the 1-loop correction by sneutrino exchange to the lightest Higgs boson mass destructively interferes with top-stop contributions in the minimal SUSY Standard Model. We find that a decay of charged Higgs boson into sneutrino and charged slepton is sizably enhanced and hence it gives rise to a distinctive signal at future collid…
If sneutrinos are the lightest supersymmetry partners and $R$-parity is not conserved, the process $e^+e^- \to \tilde {\barν} \tilde ν$ can have striking signatures due to the decay modes $\tildeν\to\ell^+\ell'^-$ or $\tildeν\to q \bar q'$. We present cross section formulas and discuss event rates and detection at the upgraded $e^+e^-$ collider LEP. Four-lepton signals should be detectable up to sneutrino mass $\tilde {m}_ν= 80$ GeV and maybe beyond; four-jet signals should be detectable up to $\tilde {m}_ν= 70$ GeV, but would probably be obscured thereafter by $WW$ background.
This work deals with right handed sneutrino as thermal cold dark matter candidate. This scalar emerges in a supersymmetric version of $SU(3)_c \otimes SU(3)_L \otimes U(1)_X$ gauge model where right handed neutrinos are a natural component of leptonic chiral scalar supermultiplets. We first consider the issue of a $125$~GeV Higgs boson mass in this model, showing that constraints on stop mass and trilinear soft coupling are considerably alleviated compared to MSSM. Then we investigate the region of parameter space that is consistent with right handed sneutrino as thermal cold dark matter, unde…
Currently popular search strategies for supersymmetric particles may be significantly affected due to relatively light sneutrinos which decay dominantly into invisible channels. In certain cases the second lightest neutralino may also decay invisibly leading to two extra carriers of missing energy (in addition to the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP)) -- the virtual LSPs (VLSPs). It is shown that if the sneutrino masses happen to be in the small but experimentally allowed range ~ 45 - 55 GeV, these particles together with neutralino pairs may contribute significantly to the missing energy…
We calculate e+e- --> stop/stop/Z at a linear collider. For large splitting between the two stops the cross-section is sensitive to the value of m(stop2) when this particle is too heavy to be directly produced. The results are compared to e+e- --> stop/stop/h.
We calculate stop stop Higgs production at the linear collider. Combining the measurements from the pair production of the lightest stop and that of the mass of the Higgs we show how, in a scenario where only the lightest stop and the lightest Higgs were accessible, one could extract the mass of the heavier stop and infer some useful information on the SUSY parameters.
Motivated by grand unification considerations, we analyze a simple extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model with additional pairs of vector-like chiral supermultiplets. We focus on the so-called LND setup, which enlarges the particle content of the minimal model by two vector-like pairs of weak doublets (one pair of leptons and one pair of down-type quarks) and one vector-like pair of neutrino singlets. Imposing collider and low-energy constraints, sneutrinos and neutralinos both emerge as possible lightest supersymmetric particles and thus dark matter candidates. We perform a co…
Numerous non-standard dynamics are described by contact-like effective interactions that can manifest themselves in electron-positron collisions only through deviations of the observables (cross sections, asymmetries) from the Standard Model predictions. If such a deviation were observed, it would be important to identify the actual source among the possible non-standard interactions as many different new physics scenarios may lead to very similar experimental signatures. We study the possibility of uniquely identifying the indirect effects of s-channel sneutrino exchange, as predicted by supe…
We study the possibility of measuring neutrino Yukawa couplings in the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with right-handed neutrinos (NMSSMr) when the lightest Supersymmetric partner (a right-handed sneutrino) is the Dark Matter (DM) candidate, by exploiting a `dijet + dilepton + Missing Transverse Energy' (MET) signature. We show that, unlike the miminal realisation of Supersymmetry (SUSY), i.e., the MSSM, for which the DM candidate is a much heavier (fermionic) state (a neutralino), this non-minimal SUSY model offers one with a much lighter (bosonic) state (a sneutrino) as DM, wh…
