Chow Forms, Chow Quotients and Quivers with Superpotential

We consider 3-dimensional toric Calabi-Yau singularities which arise as cones over the Chow quotient for a torus acting on projective space. We show that the Chow forms of the closures of the codimension 2 orbits can very easily be written down from the quiver with superpotential which corresponds with the given CY3 singularity under the correspondence between CY3 singularities and quivers with superpotential which is part of the AdS/CFT correspondence in physics. We also prove that this provides a new method for computing the principal A-determinant in the theory of Gelfand-Kapranov-Zelevinsky.

Torus-Equivariant Chow Rings of Quiver Moduli

We compute rational equivariant Chow rings with respect to a torus of quiver moduli spaces. We derive a presentation in terms of generators and relations, use torus localization to identify it as a subring of the Chow ring of the fixed point locus, and we compare the two descriptions.

Chow Rings of Fine Quiver Moduli are Tautologically Presented

A result of A. King and C. Walter asserts that the Chow ring of a fine quiver moduli space is generated by the Chern classes of universal bundles if the quiver is acyclic. We will show that defining relations between these Chern classes arise geometrically as degeneracy loci associated to the universal representation.

Motivic invariants of quivers via dimensional reduction

We provide a reduction formula for the motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants associated to a quiver with superpotential. The method is valid provided the superpotential has a linear factor, it allows us to compute virtual motives in terms of ordinary motivic classes of simpler quiver varieties. We outline an application, giving explicit formulas for the motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants of the orbifolds $[\CC \times \CC^2/\ZZ_n]$.

Semi-Stable Chow-Hall Algebras of Quivers and Quantized Donaldson-Thomas Invariants

The semi-stable ChowHa of a quiver with stability is defined as an analog of the Cohomological Hall algebra of Kontsevich and Soibelman via convolution in equivariant Chow groups of semi-stable loci in representation varieties of quivers. We prove several structural results on the semi-stable ChowHa, namely isomorphism of the cycle map, a tensor product decomposition, and a tautological presentation. For symmetric quivers, this leads to an identification of their quantized Donaldson-Thomas invariants with the Chow-Betti numbers of moduli spaces.

Cohomological orientifold Donaldson-Thomas invariants as Chow groups

We establish a geometric interpretation of orientifold Donaldson-Thomas invariants of $σ$-symmetric quivers with involution. More precisely, we prove that the cohomological orientifold Donaldson-Thomas invariant is isomorphic to the rational Chow group of the moduli space of $σ$-stable self-dual quiver representations. As an application we prove that the Chow Betti numbers of moduli spaces of stable $m$-tuples in classical Lie algebras can be computed numerically. We also prove a cohomological wall-crossing formula relating semistable Hall modules for different stabilities.

M2-Branes and Quiver Chern-Simons: A Taxonomic Study

We initiate a systematic investigation of the space of 2+1 dimensional quiver gauge theories, emphasising a succinct "forward algorithm". Few "order parametres" are introduced such as the number of terms in the superpotential and the number of gauge groups. Geometric Transitions and N=1 Quiver Theories

We construct N=1 supersymmetric theories on worldvolumes of D5 branes wrapped around 2-cycles of threefolds which are A-D-E fibrations over a plane. We propose large N duals as geometric transitions involving blowdowns of two cycles and blowups of three-cycles. This yields exact predictions for a large class of N=1 supersymmetric gauge systems including U(N) gauge theories with two adjoint matter fields deformed by superpotential terms, which arise in A-D-E fibered geometries with non-trivial monodromies.

Graded Quivers, Generalized Dimer Models and Toric Geometry

The open string sector of the topological B-model model on CY $(m+2)$-folds is described by $m$-graded quivers with superpotentials. This correspondence extends to general $m$ the well known connection between CY $(m+2)$-folds and gauge theories on the worldvolume of D$(5-2m)$-branes for $m=0,\ldots, 3$. A McKay-Like Correspondence for (0,2)-Deformations

We present a local computation of deformations of the tangent bundle for a resolved orbifold singularity C^d/G. These correspond to (0,2)-deformations of (2,2)-theories. A McKay-like correspondence is found predicting the dimension of the space of first-order deformations from simple calculations involving the group.
