The Kondo lattice antiferromagnet YbNiSi3 was investigated by neutron scattering. The magnetic structure of YbNiSi3 was determined by neutron diffraction on a single-crystalline sample. Inelastic scattering experiments were also performed on a pulverized sample to study the crystalline electric field (CEF) excitations. Two broad CEF excitations were observed, from which the CEF parameters were determined. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility chi and the magnetic specific heat Cmag were calculated using the determined CEF model, and compared with previous results.

A Kondo lattice antiferromagnet CePd5Al2

We report on the electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility and heat-capacity measurements on a new intermetallic compound CePd5Al2, crystallizing in the ZrNi2Al5-type tetragonal structure, with lattice parameters a = 4.156 A and c = 14.883 A. The compound presents Kondo lattice behavior and an easy-plane antiferromagnetic ground state with two magnetic transitions at 2.9 K and 3.9 K. The Sommerfeld coefficient is estimated as 60 mJ/mol K^2.

Fermi surface topology of the two-dimensional Kondo lattice model: a dynamical cluster approximation approach

We report the results of extensive dynamical cluster approximation calculations, based on a quantum Monte Carlo solver, for the two-dimensional Kondo lattice model. Our particular cluster implementation renders possible the simulation of spontaneous antiferromagnetic symmetry breaking. By explicitly computing the single-particle spectral function both in the paramagnetic and antiferromagnetic phases, we follow the evolution of the Fermi surface across this magnetic transition. Magnetic, thermal, and transport properties on single crystals of antiferromagnetic Kondo-lattice Ce2PdSi3

Magnetization, heat capacity, electrical resistivity, thermoelectric power, and Hall effect have been investigated on single-crystalline Ce_2PdSi_3. This compound is shown to order antiferromagnetically below N'eel temperature (T_N) \~3 K. The Sommerfeld coefficient far below T_N is found to be about 110 mJ/K^2 mol Ce, which indicates the heavy-fermion character of this compound. Cross-over behavior of the localized to itinerant transition of 5f electrons in the antiferromagnetic Kondo lattice USb2

In Uranium-based heavy fermion system, the 5f electrons display an intermediate character between partial localization and partial itinerancy, which makes the Kondo problem more complicated. Here we use scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy to investigate the (001) surface of the Kondo lattice antiferromagnet USb2. Temperature-dependent dI/dV spectra from 4.7 K up to 140 K reveal several peak structures around the Fermi level. $^{75}$As NMR study of the antiferromagnetic Kondo lattice compound CeNiAsO

We revisit the magnetic properties of the antiferromagnetic Kondo lattice CeNiAsO by $^{75}$As nuclear magnetic resonance measurements. Our results confirm two successive antiferromagnetic transitions of Ce moments at $T_{N1}=9.0(3)$ K and $T_{N2}=7.0(3)$ K. Incommensurate and commensurate antiferromagnetic orders are suggested for $T_{N2}<T<T_{N1}$ and $T<T_{N2}$ respectively, consistent with previous neutron and muon experiments. A Reduced Moment Magnetic Ordering in a Kondo Lattice Compound: Ce8pd24ga

The magnetic ground state of the antiferromagnet Kondo lattice compound Ce8Pd24Ga has been investigated using neutron powder diffraction, inelastic neutron scattering and zero-field muon spin relaxation measurements. The neutron diffraction analysis, below TN (3.6(0.2)K), reveals a commensurate type-C antiferromagnetic structure with the ordered state magnetic moment of \~0.36 mB/Ce-atom along the cubic <111> direction. A crossover from Kondo semiconductor to metallic antiferromagnet with $5d$-electron doping in CeFe$_2$Al$_{10}$

We report a systematic study of the $5d$-electron-doped system Ce(Fe$_{1-x}$Ir$_x$)$_2$Al$_{10}$ ($0 \leq x \leq 0.15$). With increasing $x$, the orthorhombic $b$~axis decreases slightly while accompanying changes in $a$ and $c$ leave the unit cell volume almost unchanged.
