Moving system with speeded-up evolution

In the classical (non-quantum) relativity theory the course of the moving clock is dilated as compared to the course of the clock at rest (the Einstein dilation). Any unstable system may be regarded as a clock. The time evolution (e.g., the decay) of a uniformly moving physical system is considered using the relativistic quantum theory. The example of a moving system is given whose evolution turns out to be speeded-up instead of being dilated. A discussion of this paradoxical result is presented.

We assess the energy cost of shortcuts to adiabatic expansions or compressions of a harmonic oscillator, the power strokes of a quantum Otto engine. Modulating quantum evolution of moving-qubit by using classical driving

In this work, we study quantum evolution of an open moving-qubit modulated by a classical driving field. We obtain the density operator of qubit at zero temperature and analyze its quantum evolution dynamics by using quantum speed limit time (QSLT) and a non-Markovianity measure introduced recently. The results show that both the non-Markovian environment and the classical driving can speed up the evolution process, this quantum speedup process is induced by the non-Markovianity and the critical points only depend on the qubit velocity. Evolution in Time of Moving Unstable Systems

Relativistic quantum theory shows that the known Einstein time dilation (ED) approximately holds for the decay law of the unstable particle having definite momentum p (DP). I use a different definition of the moving particle as the state with definite velocity v (DV). It is shown that in this case the decay law is not dilated. On the contrary, it is contracted as compared with the decay law of the particle at rest. Quantum speed-up based on classical-field and moving-qubit

In this work, we provide a model of a moving-qubit interacting with the multimode cavity, where the qubit is driven by the classical field. Dirac phase and replicating adiabaticity in isotropically moving wall confinement

Geometric phase in the wave function is important with regard to quantum non-locality and adiabatic evolution. We study the confinement of a particle by three-dimensional isotropically moving walls, of relevance to experimental trapping techniques, via a proposed approach that explains the physical origin of the geometric Dirac phase induced in the wave function. The infinite potential well with moving walls

In this work the evolution of a wavefunction in an infinite potential well with time dependent boundaries is investigated. Previous methods for wells with walls moving at a constant velocity are summarised. These methods are extended to wells with slowly accelerating walls. The location and time of the revivals in the well of the initial wavefunction are derived using Jacobi's elliptic theta function.

Moving Atom-Field Interactions: Quantum Motional Decoherence and Relaxation

The reduced dynamics of an atomic qubit coupled both to its own quantized center of mass motion through the spatial mode functions of the electromagnetic field, as well as the vacuum modes, is calculated in the influence functional formalism. Quantum non-demolition measurements of moving target states

We present a protocol for probing the state of a quantum system by its resonant coupling and entanglement with a meter system. By continuous measurement of a time evolving meter observable, we infer the evolution of the entangled systems and, ultimately, the state and dynamics of the system of interest. Quantum speed limit time for moving qubit inside leaky cavity

The minimum time required for a quantum system to evolve from an arbitrary initial state to its orthogonal state is known as the quantum speed limit (QSL) time. In this work, we consider the model in which a single qubit moves inside a leaky cavity and then we study the QSL time for this model. Notably, we show that for both weak and strong coupling regimes, the QSL time increases with increasing the velocity of the qubit inside the leaky cavity. Moreover, it is observed that by increasing qubit velocity, the speed of the evolution tends to a constant value and the system becomes more stable.

A variational approach for linearly dependent moving bases in quantum dynamics: application to Gaussian functions

In this paper, we present a variational treatment of the linear dependence for a non-orthogonal time-dependent basis set in solving the Schrödinger equation.
