Low-frequency $K^π=0^{+}$ states in deformed neutron-rich nuclei are investigated by means of the quasiparticle-random-phase approximation based on the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov formalism in the coordinate space. We have obtained the very strongly collective $K^π=0^{+}$ modes not only in neutron-rich Mg isotope but also in Cr and Fe isotopes in N=40 region, where the onset of nuclear deformation has been discussed. It is found that the spatially extended structure of neutron quasiparticle wave functions around the Fermi level brings about a striking enhancement of the transition strengths. It is also found that the fluctuation of the pairing field plays an important role in generating coherence among two-quasiparticle excitations of neutron.
The effective field theory (EFT) for triaxially deformed even-even nuclei is generalized to include the vibrational degrees of freedom. The pertinent Hamiltonian is constructed up to next-to-leading order. The leading order part describes the vibrational motion, and the NLO part couples rotations to vibrations. The applicability of the EFT Hamiltonian is examined through the description of the energy spectra of the ground state bands, $γ$-bands, and $K=4$ bands in the $^{108, 110, 112}$Ru isotopes. It is found that by taking into account the vibrational degrees of freedom, the deviations for h…
A closed expression is derived for the pair vibrational correlation energy generated in the random phase approximation by the isovector pairing force in the case when Kramers and charge degenerate single-nucleon levels are uniformly distributed in an interval. The expression is used to analyze the spectral density of pair vibrational frequencies relative to that of two-quasinucleon energies. Applications to the analysis of the symmetry energy of the isovector pairing model and to a Strutinskij renormalization of this model are discussed.

We investigated effects of neutron-proton ($np$) pairing correlations comprising isoscalar (IS) and isovector (IV) component on Gamow-Teller (GT) transitions of $^{56, 58,62,64}$Ni by taking into account nuclear deformation in a deformed Woods-Saxon mean field. Our GT calculations based on a deformed Bardeen-Cooper-Schriffer (DBCS) approach have been performed within a deformed quasi-particle random phase approximation (DQRPA) which explicitly includes the deformation as well as all kinds of pairing correlations not only at the DBCS but also at the DQRPA stage. Competition of these two effects…
The angular momentum projection (AMP) method is implemented in the deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum (DRHBc) with the point-coupling density functional. The wave functions of angular momentum projected states are expanded in terms of the Dirac Woods-Saxon (WS) basis, providing a proper description of the asymptotic behavior of the wave functions for weakly bound nuclei. The contribution of continuum induced by the pairing is considered by treating the pairing correlation with the Bogoliubov transformation. We present the formulae and numerical checks for the DRHBc+AM…
In the random-phase-approximation-amended (RPA-amended) Nilsson-Strutinskij method of calculating nuclear binding energies, the conventional shell correction terms derived from the independent-nucleon model and the Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer pairing theory are supplemented by a term which accounts for the pair-vibrational correlation energy. This term is derived by means of the RPA from a pairing Hamiltonian which includes a neutron-proton pairing interaction. The method was used previously in studies of the pattern of binding energies of nuclei with approximately equal numbers $N$ and $Z$ of n…
The ground-state bands (GSBs) in the even-even hafnium isotopes $^{170-184}$Hf are investigated by using the cranked shell model (CSM) with pairing correlations treated by the particle-number conserving (PNC) method. The experimental kinematic moments of inertia are reproduced very well by theoretical calculations. The second upbending of the GSB at high frequency $\hbarω\approx0.5$ MeV observed (predicted) in $^{172}$Hf ($^{170,174-178}$Hf) attributes to the sudden alignments of the proton high-$j$ orbitals $\pi1i_{13/2}$ $(1/2^{+}[660])$, $\pi1h_{9/2}$ $(1/2^{-}[541])$ and orbital $\pi1h_{11…
Background: The electric giant-dipole resonance (GDR) is the most established collective vibrational mode of excitation. A charge-exchange analog, however, has been poorly studied in comparison with the spin (magnetic) dipole resonance (SDR). Purpose: I investigate the role of deformation on the charge-exchange dipole excitations and explore the generic features as an isovector mode of excitation. Methods: The nuclear energy-density functional method is employed for calculating the response functions based on the Skyrme--Kohn--Sham--Bogoliubov method and the proton-neuton quasiparticle-random-…

The theoretical approach to consideration of the Hamiltonian with pairing forces using a technique of the finite boson representation is developed. It is shown that a simultaneous description of the pairing vibrational state in $^{56}$Ni and the pairing rotational states with $T$=0 in the neighboring $N=Z$ nuclei is possible if the pairing Hamiltonian takes into account only isovector monopole pairing. However, the calculated energies of the pairing rotational states of $N=Z$ nuclei removed from $^{56}$Ni by 12 and more nucleons exceed significantly the experimental values. The possible reason…
We study the exotic deformed nucleus $^{31}$Ne using an approach that combines self-consistent structure and reaction theory. We utilize the fully-relativistic, microscopic deformed Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum (DRHBc) to demonstrate that deformation and pairing correlations give rise to a halo structure with large-amplitude $p$-wave configuration in $^{31}$Ne. We then use the valence nucleon wave functions and angle-averaged density distributions of $^{30}$Ne from this model as input for a Glauber reaction model to study the observables of neutron-rich Neon isotopes and search for h…
