We investigate the $D^0-\bar D^0$ mixing through the doubly Cabibbo suppressed (DCS) channel $D^0\to f_0(980)K^{*0}$ and its charge conjugate channel, in which the $K^{*0}$ meson is reconstructed in both $K^+π^-$ and $K_Sπ^0$ final state. Although the decay $D^0\to f_0(980)K^{*}$ has a small branching ratio, the final state mesons are relatively easy to identify. The $f_0(980)$ meson can be replaced by $π^+π^-$ in which $π^+π^-$ form an $S$-wave state, or a longitudinally polarized vector meson $ρ^0,ω$. All mixing parameters, including the mass difference and decay width difference, can be extracted by studying the time-dependent decay width of these channels. We show that the method is valid in all regions for mixing parameters and it does not depend on the strong phase difference.
Non-unitary neutrino mixing implies an extra CP violating phase that can fake the leptonic Dirac CP phase $δ_{CP}$ of the simplest three-neutrino mixing benchmark scheme. This would hinder the possibility of probing for CP violation in accelerator-type experiments. We take T2K and T2HK as examples to demonstrate the degeneracy between the "standard" (or "unitary") and "non-unitary" CP phases. We find, under the assumption of non-unitary mixing, that their CP sensitivities severely deteriorate. Fortunately, the TNT2K proposal of supplementing T2(H)K with a $μ$DAR source for better measurement o…
Time-dependent studies of inclusive charm decays to multibody self-conjugate final states can be used to determine the indirect $CP$-violating observable $A_Γ$ and the mixing observable $y_{CP}$, provided that the fractional $CP$-even content of the final state, $F_+$, is known. This approach can yield significantly improved sensitivity compared with the conventional method that relies on decays to $CP$ eigenstates. In particular, $D \to π^+π^-π^0$ appears to be an especially powerful channel, given its relatively large branching fraction and the high value of $F_+$ that has recently been meas…
We perform an analysis on ${B^0} - {{\bar B}^0}$ mixing in the extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model where baryon and lepton numbers are local gauge symmetries (BLMSSM) by using the effective Hamiltonian method. And the constraint of a 125 GeV Higgs to the parameter space has also been consid-ered. The numerical results indicate that the contributions of the extra particles can be sizeable in ${B^0} - {{\bar B}^0}$ mixing. For certain parameter sets, the theoretical prediction of mass differences $Δm_{B}$ agrees with the current experimental result. Furthermore, ${B^0} - {{\ba…
The effective baryon-baryon interactions is studied in the refined quark delocalization color screening model (QDCSM), in which the different quark clusterings are fully taken into account, instead of controlling by a variational delocalization parameter $ε(s)$ between two 3-quark clusters. The symmetry bases are employed to do the calculation, all possible configurations for two quark clusters are considered. The results obtained are very similar to that of QDCSM. It is inferred that the delocalization parameter $ε(s)$ used in QDCSM is an economic and effective way to describe the mixing of q…

We study $\bar{Q}Q\bar{q}q$ and $\bar{Q}qQ\bar{q}$ states as mixed states in QCD sum rules. By calculating the two-point correlation functions of pure states of their corresponding currents, we review the mass and coupling constant predictions of $J^{PC}=1^{++}$, $1^{--}$, $1^{-+}$ states. By calculating the two-point mixed correlation functions of $\bar{Q}Q\bar{q}q$ and $\bar{Q}qQ\bar{q}$ currents, and we estimate the mass and coupling constants of the corresponding `"physical state" that couples to both $\bar{Q}Q\bar{q}q$ and $\bar{Q}qQ\bar{q}$ currents. Our results suggest that $1^{++}$ sta…
The Effect of $D-\bar D$ Mixing on the Measurement of $γ$ in $B\to D K$ Decays
The planned DUNE experiment will have excellent sensitivity to the vector and axial couplings of the electron to the $Z$-boson via precision measurements of neutrino--electron scattering. We investigate the sensitivity of DUNE-PRISM, a movable near detector in the direction perpendicular to the beam line, and find that it will qualitatively impact our ability to constrain the weak couplings of the electron. We translate these neutrino--electron scattering measurements into a determination of the weak mixing angle at low scales and estimate that, with seven years of data taking, the DUNE near-d…
