Differential inequalities of continuous functions and removing singularities of Rado type for J-holomorphic maps

We consider a continuous function $f$ on a domain in $\mathbf C^n$ satisfying the inequality that $|\bar \partial f|\leq |f|$ off its zero set. The main conclusion is that the zero set of $f$ is a complex variety. We also obtain removable singularity theorem of Rado type for J-holomorphic maps. Let $Ω$ be an open subset in $\mathbf C$ and let $E$ be a closed polar subset of $Ω$. Let $u$ be a continuous map from $Ω$ into an almost complex manifold $(M,J)$ with $J$ of class $C^1$. We show that if $u$ is J-holomorphic on $Ω\setminus E$ then it is J-holomorphic on $Ω$.

Non-removability of Sierpinski spaces

We prove that all Sierpiński spaces in ${\mathbb{S}}^n$, $n\geq 2$, are non-removable for (quasi)conformal maps, generalizing the result of the first named author arXiv:1809.05605. More precisely, we show that for any Sierpiński space $X\subset \mathbb{S}^n$ there exists a homeomorphism $f\colon \mathbb{S}^n\to \mathbb{S}^n$, conformal in $\mathbb{S}^n\setminus X$, that maps $X$ to a set of positive measure and is not globally (quasi)conformal. This is the first class of examples of non-removable sets in higher dimensions.

Sharp nonremovability examples for Hölder continuous quasiregular mappings in the plane

Let $α\in(0,1)$, $K\geq 1$, and $d=2\frac{1+αK}{1+K}$. Given a compact set $E\subset\C$, it is known that if $\H^d(E)=0$ then $E$ is removable for $α$-Hölder continuous $K$-quasiregular mappings in the plane. The sharpness of the index $d$ is shown with the construction, for any $t>d$, of a set $E$ of Hausdorff dimension $\dim(E)=t$ which is not removable. In this paper, we improve this result and construct compact nonremovable sets $E$ such that $0<\H^d(E)<\infty$. Analytic cohomology in a Banach space

Among other things, we show that the ideal sheaf of a complex Hilbert submanifold of a pseudoconvex open subset of Hilbert space is acyclic over the ambient pseudoconvex open set. We also prove a vanishing theorem for a fairly general class of analytic sheaves over pseudoconvex open sets of a large class of Banach spaces. Some applications are also given.

Vanishing of temperate cohomology on complex manifolds

Obstructions to generic embeddings

In Grauert's paper [G] it is noted that finite dimensionality of cohomology groups sometimes implies vanishing of these cohomomogy groups. Later on Laufer formulated a zero or infinity law for the cohomology groups of domains in Stein manifolds. Deformations of Dolbeault cohomology classes for Lie algebra with complex structures

In this paper, we study deformations of complex structures on Lie algebras and its associated deformations of Dolbeault cohomology classes. A complete deformation of complex structures is constructed in a way similar to the Kuranishi family. The extension isomorphism is shown to be valid in this case. Representing analytic cohomology groups of complex manifolds

Consider a holomorphic vector bundle $L\to X$ and an open cover ${\frak U}=\{U_a\colon a\in A\}$ of $X$, parametrized by a complex manifold $A$. We prove that the sheaf cohomology groups $H^q(X,L)$ can be computed from the complex $C^{\bullet}_{\text{hol}}$ $({\frak U},L)$ of cochains $(f_{a_0\ldots a_q})_{a_0,\ldots, a_q\in A}$ that depend holomorphically on the $a_j$, provided $S=\{(a,x)\in A\times X\colon x\in U_a\}$ is a Stein open subset of $A\times X$. Lowest Weights in Cohomology of Variations of Hodge Structure

Let X be a smooth complex projective variety, let $j:U\into X$ an immersion of a Zariski open subset, and let V be a variation of Hodge structure of weight n over U. Then IH^k(X, j_*V) is known to carry a pure Hodge structure of weight k+n, while H^k(U,V) carries a mixed Hodge structure of weight $\ge k+n$. In this note it is shown that the image of the natural map $IH^k(X,j_*V) \to H^k(U,V)$ is the lowest weight part of this mixed Hodge structure. The proof uses Saito's theory of mixed Hodge modules.

Aeppli Cohomology Classes Associated with Gauduchon Metrics on Compact Complex Manifolds

We propose the study of a Monge-Ampère-type equation in bidegree $(n-1,\,n-1)$ rather than $(1,\,1)$ on a compact complex manifold $X$ of dimension $n$ for which we prove uniqueness of the solution subject to positivity and normalisation restrictions.
