We introduce a diluted version of the one dimensional spin-glass model with interactions decaying in probability as an inverse power of the distance. In this model varying the power corresponds to change the dimension in short-range models. The spin-glass phase is studied in and out of the range of validity of the mean-field approximation in order to discriminate between different theories. Since each variable interacts only with a finite number of others the cost for simulating the model is drastically reduced with respect to the fully connected version and larger sizes can be studied. We find both static and dynamic evidence in favor of the so-called replica symmetry breaking theory.
We introduce the concept of Random Multi-Overlap Structures in diluted spin glasses, following the ideas of Aizenman, Sims and Starr for non-diluted models. As a result, we prove the generalized bound and variational principle for the free energy per site, in analogy with the results of Aizenman, Sims and Starr for non-diluted models. We also prove some stability properties of the optimal RMOSt, analogous to the one found by Guerra for non-diluted models.
We study link-diluted $\pm J$ Ising spin glass models on the hierarchical lattice and on a three-dimensional lattice close to the percolation threshold. We show that previously computed zero temperature fixed points are unstable with respect to temperature perturbations and do not belong to any critical line in the dilution-temperature plane. We discuss implications of the presence of such spurious unstable fixed points on the use of optimization algorithms, and we show how entropic effects should be taken into account to obtain the right physical behavior and critical points.
We investigate a possible relation between frustration and phase-transition points in spin glasses. The relation is represented as a condition of the number of frustrated plaquettes in the lattice at phase-transition points at zero temperature and was reported to provide very close points to the phase-transition points for several lattices. Although there has been no proof of the relation, the good correspondence in several lattices suggests the validity of the relation and some important role of frustration in the phase transitions. To examine the relation further, we present a natural extens…
Recently, a method has been proposed to obtain accurate predictions for low-temperature properties of lattice spin glasses that is practical even above the upper critical dimension, $d_c=6$. This method is based on the observation that bond-dilution enables the numerical treatment of larger lattices, and that the subsequent combination of such data at various bond densities into a finite-size scaling Ansatz produces more robust scaling behavior. In the present study we test the potential of such a procedure, in particular, to obtain the stiffness exponent for the hierarchical Migdal-Kadanoff l…
We test for the existence of a spin-glass phase transition, the de Almeida-Thouless line, in an externally-applied (random) magnetic field by performing Monte Carlo simulations on a power-law diluted one-dimensional Ising spin glass for very large system sizes. We find that an Almeida-Thouless line only occurs in the mean field regime, which corresponds, for a short-range spin glass, to dimension d larger than 6.
Recently a cluster Monte Carlo algorithm has been used very successfully in the two-dimensional Edwards-Anderson (EA) model. We show that this algorithm and a variant thereof can also be used successfully in models with a non-zero spin glass transition temperature. The application of such algorithms to the site-diluted EA model in three dimensions is discussed and the efficiency of the two algorithms is compared among each other and to parallel tempering. Finally, we give evidence for a spin glass transition in the three-dimensional site-diluted EA model with Gaussian couplings at a site occup…
The low temperature phase of discontinuous mean-field spin glasses is characterized by the appearance of an exponential number of metastable states. Which ones among these states dominate the out-of-equilibrium dynamics of these systems? In order to answer this question, we compare high-precision numerical simulations of a diluted $p$-spin model with a cavity computation of the threshold energy. Our main conclusion is that the aging dynamics is dominated by different layers of metastable states depending on the cooling schedule. In order to perform our analysis, we present a method for computi…
We consider the problem of temperature chaos in mean-field spin-glass models defined on random lattices with finite connectivity. By means of an expansion in the order parameter we show that these models display a much stronger chaos effect than the fully connected Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model with the exception of the Bethe lattice with bimodal distribution of the couplings.
We study the low temperature properties of p-spin glass models with finite connectivity and of some optimization problems. Using a one-step functional replica symmetry breaking Ansatz we can solve exactly the saddle-point equations for graphs with uniform connectivity. The resulting ground state energy is in perfect agreement with numerical simulations. For fluctuating connectivity graphs, the same Ansatz can be used in a variational way: For p-spin models (known as p-XOR-SAT in computer science) it provides the exact configurational entropy together with the dynamical and static critical conn…
The recently proposed reduction method is applied to the Edwards-Anderson model on bond-diluted square lattices. This allows, in combination with a graph-theoretical matching algorithm, to calculate numerically exact ground states of large systems. Low-temperature domain-wall excitations are studied to determine the stiffness exponent y_2. A value of y_2=-0.281(3) is found, consistent with previous results obtained on undiluted lattices. This comparison demonstrates the validity of the reduction method for bond-diluted spin systems and provides strong support for similar studies proclaiming ac…
We test for the presence or absence of the de Almeida-Thouless line using one-dimensional power-law diluted Heisenberg spin glass model, in which the rms strength of the interactions decays with distance, r as 1/r^{sigma}. It is argued that varying the power sigma is analogous to varying the space dimension d in a short-range model. For sigma=0.6, which is in the mean field regime regime, we find clear evidence for an AT line. For sigma = 0.85, which is in the non-mean-field regime and corresponds to a space dimension of close to 3, we find no AT line, though we cannot rule one out for very sm…
We study the four-dimensional Ising spin glass with Gaussian and bond-diluted bimodal distributed interactions via large-scale Monte Carlo simulations and show via an extensive finite-size scaling analysis that four-dimensional Ising spin glasses obey universality.
At zero temperature, two-dimensional Ising spin glasses are known to fall into several universality classes. Here we consider the scaling at low but non-zero temperature and provide numerical evidence that $η\approx 0$ and $ν\approx 3.5$ in all cases, suggesting a unique universality class. This algebraic (as opposed to exponential) scaling holds in particular for the $\pm J$ model, with or without dilutions and for the plaquette diluted model. Such a picture, associated with an exceptional behavior at T=0, is consistent with a real space renormalization group approach. We also explain how the…
We revisited, by means of numerical simulations, the one dimensional bond diluted Levy Ising spin glasses outside the limit of validity of mean field theories. In these models the probability that two spins at distance $r$ interact (via a disordered interactions, $J_{ij}=\pm 1$) decays as $r^{-ρ}$. We have estimated, using finite size scaling techniques, the infinite volume correlation length and spin glass susceptibility for $ρ=5/3$ and $ρ=9/5$. We have obtained strong evidence for divergences of the previous observables at a non zero critical temperature. We discuss the behavior of the criti…
Spin systems with long-range interactions are "non-extensive" if the strength of the interactions falls off sufficiently slowly with distance. It has been conjectured for ferromagnets, and more recently for spin glasses, that, everywhere in the non-extensive regime, the free energy is exactly equal to that for the infinite range model in which the characteristic strength of the interaction is independent of distance. In this paper we present the results of Monte Carlo simulations of the one-dimensional long-range spin glasses in the non-extensive regime. Using finite-size scaling, our results …
The stiffness exponents in the glass phase for lattice spin glasses in dimensions $d=3,...,6$ are determined. To this end, we consider bond-diluted lattices near the T=0 glass transition point $p^*$. This transition for discrete bond distributions occurs just above the bond percolation point $p_c$ in each dimension. Numerics suggests that both points, $p_c$ and $p^*$, seem to share the same $1/d$-expansion, at least for several leading orders, each starting with $1/(2d)$. Hence, these lattice graphs have average connectivities of $α=2dp\gtrsim1$ near $p^*$ and exact graph-reduction methods bec…
We prove that the Aizenman-Contucci relations, well known for fully connected spin glasses, hold in diluted spin glasses as well. We also prove more general constraints in the same spirit for multi-overlaps, systematically confirming and expanding previous results. The strategy we employ makes no use of self-averaging, and allows us to generate hierarchically all such relations within the framework of Random Multi-Overlap Structures. The basic idea is to study, for these structures, the consequences of the closely related concepts of stochastic stability, quasi-stationarity under random shifts…
We present a mean field model for spin glasses with a natural notion of distance built in, namely, the Edwards-Anderson model on the diluted D-dimensional unit hypercube in the limit of large D. We show that finite D effects are strongly dependent on the connectivity, being much smaller for a fixed coordination number. We solve the non trivial problem of generating these lattices. Afterwards, we numerically study the nonequilibrium dynamics of the mean field spin glass. Our three main findings are: (i) the dynamics is ruled by an infinite number of time-sectors, (ii) the aging dynamics consist…
The recently proposed reduction method for diluted spin glasses is investigated in depth. In particular, the Edwards-Anderson model with \pm J and Gaussian bond disorder on hyper-cubic lattices in d=2, 3, and 4 is studied for a range of bond dilutions. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of using bond dilution to elucidate low-temperature properties of Ising spin glasses, and provide a starting point to enhance the methods used in reduction. Based on that, a greedy heuristic call ``Dominant Bond Reduction'' is introduced and explored.
In these notes we review first in some detail the concept of random overlap structure (ROSt) applied to fully connected and diluted spin glasses. We then sketch how to write down the general term of the expansion of the energy part from the Boltzmann ROSt (for the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model) and the corresponding term from the RaMOSt, which is the diluted extension suitable for the Viana-Bray model. From the ROSt energy term, a set of polynomial identities (often known as Aizenman-Contucci or AC relations) is shown to hold rigorously at every order because of a recursive structure of these …
Sample-to-sample free energy fluctuations in spin-glasses display a markedly different behaviour in finite-dimensional and fully-connected models, namely Gaussian vs. non-Gaussian. Spin-glass models defined on various types of random graphs are in an intermediate situation between these two classes of models and we investigate whether the nature of their free-energy fluctuations is Gaussian or not. It has been argued that Gaussian behaviour is present whenever the interactions are locally non-homogeneous, i.e. in most cases with the notable exception of models with fixed connectivity and rando…
Following numerous earlier studies, extensive simulations and analyses were made on the continuous interaction distribution Gaussian model and the discrete bimodal interaction distribution Ising Spin Glass (ISG) models in dimension two (P.H. Lundow and I.A. Campbell, Phys. Rev. E {\bf 93}, 022119 (2016)). Here we further analyse the bimodal and Gaussian data together with data on two other continuous interaction distribution 2D ISG models, the uniform and the Laplacian models, and three other discrete interaction distribution models, a diluted bimodal model, an "anti-diluted" model, and a more…
Infinite-range spin-glass models with Levy-distributed interactions show a freezing transition similar to disordered spin systems on finite connectivity random graphs. It is shown that despite diverging moments of the local field distribution this transition can be analyzed within the replica approach by working at imaginary temperature and using a variant of the replica method developed for diluted systems and optimization problems. The replica-symmetric self-consistent equation for the distribution of local fields illustrates how the long tail in the distribution of coupling strengths gives …
We extend the approach of Aizenman, Sims and Starr for the SK-type models to their spherical versions. Such an extension has already been performed for diluted spin glasses. The factorization property of the optimal structures found by Guerra for the SK model, which holds for diluted models as well, is verified also in the case of spherical systems, with the due modifications. Hence we show that there are some common structural features in various mean field spin models. These similarities seem to be quite paradigmatic, and we summarize the various techniques typically used to prove the struct…
In the paper the Pair Approximation (PA) method for studies of the site-diluted spin-1/2 systems of arbitrary dimensionality with the long-range ferromagnetic interactions is adopted. The method allows to take into account arbitrary anisotropy of the interactions in the spin space, so it is not limited to purely Ising couplings. Within this approach, the Gibbs free energy is obtained, which allows to derive all the further interesting thermodynamic properties. In particular, we obtain an equation for the critical temperature of the second-order phase transitions for the model in question. In t…
A spin-glass transition occurs both in and out of the limit of validity of mean-field theory on a diluted one dimensional chain of Ising spins where exchange bonds occur with a probability decaying as the inverse power of the distance. Varying the power in this long-range model corresponds, in a one-to-one relationship, to change the dimension in spin-glass short-range models. Using different finite size scaling methods evidence for a spin-glass transition is found also for systems whose equivalent dimension is below the upper critical dimension at zero magnetic field. The application of a new…
We study the probability distribution P(E) of the ground state energy E in various Ising spin glasses. In most models, P(E) seems to become Gaussian with a variance growing as the system's volume V. Exceptions include the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model (where the variance grows more slowly, perhaps as the square root of the volume), and mean field diluted spin glasses having +/-J couplings. We also find that the corrections to the extensive part of the disorder averaged energy grow as a power of the system size; for finite dimensional lattices, this exponent is equal, within numerical precision…
A reduction procedure to obtain ground states of spin glasses on sparse graphs is developed and tested on the hierarchical lattice associated with the Migdal-Kadanoff approximation for low-dimensional lattices. While more generally applicable, these rules here lead to a complete reduction of the lattice. The stiffness exponent governing the scaling of the defect energy $ΔE$ with system size $L$, $σ(ΔE)\sim L^y$, is obtained as $y_3=0.25546(3)$ by reducing the equivalent of lattices up to $L=2^{100}$ in $d=3$, and as $y_4=0.76382(4)$ for up to $L=2^{35}$ in $d=4$. The reduction rules allow the …
We numerically study aging for the Edwards-Anderson Model in 3 and 4 dimensions using different temperature-change protocols. In D=3, time scales a thousand times larger than in previous work are reached with the SUE machine. Deviations from cumulative aging are observed in the non monotonic time behavior of the coherence length. Memory and rejuvenation effects are found in a temperature-cycle protocol, revealed by vanishing effective waiting times. Similar effects are reported for the D=3$site-diluted ferromagnetic Ising model (without chaos). However, rejuvenation is reduced if off-equilibri…
We present a numerical study of ground states of the dilute versions of the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick (SK) mean-field spin glass. In contrast to so-called "sparse" mean-field spin glasses that have been studied widely on random networks of finite (average or regular) degree, the networks studied here are randomly bond-diluted to an overall density $p$, such that the average degree diverges as $\sim pN$ with the system size $N$. Ground-state energies are obtained with high accuracy for random instances over a wide range of fixed $p$. Since this is a NP-hard combinatorial problem, we employ the Ex…
We study the existence of a line of transitions of an Ising spin glass in a magnetic field-known as the de Almeida-Thouless line-using one-dimensional power-law diluted Ising spin-glass models. We choose the power-law exponent to have values that approximately correspond to three- and four-dimensional nearest-neighbor systems and perform a detailed finite-size scaling analysis of the data for large linear system sizes, both using a new approach proposed recently [Phys. Rev. Lett. 103, 267201 (2009)], as well as traditional approaches. Our results for the model corresponding to a three-dimensio…
We propose and study a renormalization group transformation that can be used also for models with strong quenched disorder, like spin glasses. The method is based on a mapping between disorder distributions, chosen such as to keep some physical properties (e.g., the ratio of correlations averaged over the ensemble) invariant under the transformation. We validate this ensemble renormalization group by applying it to the hierarchical model (both the diluted ferromagnetic version and the spin glass version), finding results in agreement with Monte Carlo simulations.
The core idea of stochastic stability is that thermodynamic observables must be robust under small (random) perturbations of the quenched Gibbs measure. Combining this idea with the cavity field technique, which aims to measure the free energy increment under addition of a spin to the system, we sketch how to write a stochastic stability approach to diluted mean field spin glasses which explicitly gives overlap constraints as the outcome. We then show that, under minimal mathematical assumptions and for gauge invariant systems (namely those with even Ising interactions), it is possible to "rev…
We study a family of diluted attractor neural networks with a finite average number of (symmetric) connections per neuron. As in finite connectivity spin glasses, their equilibrium properties are described by order parameter functions, for which we derive an integral equation in replica symmetric (RS) approximation. A bifurcation analysis of this equation reveals the locations of the paramagnetic to recall and paramagnetic to spin-glass transition lines in the phase diagram. The line separating the retrieval phase from the spin-glass phase is calculated at zero temperature. All phase transitio…
We uncover a new kind of entropic long range order in finite dimensional spin glasses. We study the link-diluted version of the Edwards-Anderson spin glass model with bimodal couplings (J=+/-1) on a 3D lattice. By using exact reduction algorithms, we prove that there exists a region of the phase diagram (at zero temperature and link density low enough), where spins are long range correlated, even if the ground states energy stiffness is null. In other words, in this region twisting the boundary conditions cost no energy, but spins are long range correlated by means of pure entropic effects.
We consider the long-ranged Ising spin-glass with random couplings decaying as a power-law of the distance, in the region of parameters where the spin-glass phase exists with a positive droplet exponent. For the Metropolis single-spin-flip dynamics near zero temperature, we construct via real-space renormalization the full hierarchy of relaxation times of the master equation for any given realization of the random couplings. We then analyze the probability distribution of dynamical barriers as a function of the spatial scale. This real-space renormalization procedure represents a simple explic…
Extensive computations of ground state energies of the Edwards-Anderson spin glass on bond-diluted, hypercubic lattices are conducted in dimensions d=3,..,7. Results are presented for bond-densities exactly at the percolation threshold, p=p_c, and deep within the glassy regime, p>p_c, where finding ground-states becomes a hard combinatorial problem. Finite-size corrections of the form 1/N^w are shown to be consistent throughout with the prediction w=1-y/d, where y refers to the "stiffness" exponent that controls the formation of domain wall excitations at low temperatures. At p=p_c, an extrapo…
A new approach to exploring low-temperature excitations in finite-dimensional lattice spin glasses is proposed. By focusing on bond-diluted lattices just above the percolation threshold, large system sizes $L$ can be obtained which lead to enhanced scaling regimes and more accurate exponents. Furthermore, this method in principle remains practical for any dimension, yielding exponents that so far have been elusive. This approach is demonstrated by determining the stiffness exponent for dimensions $d=3$, $d=6$ (the upper critical dimension), and $d=7$. Key is the application of an exact reducti…
We discuss a phase transition in spin glass models which have been rarely considered in the past, namely the phase transition that may take place when two real replicas are forced to be at a larger distance (i.e. at a smaller overlap) than the typical one. In the first part of the work, by solving analytically the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model in a field close to its critical point, we show that even in a paramagnetic phase the forcing of two real replicas to an overlap small enough leads the model to a phase transition where the symmetry between replicas is spontaneously broken. More importan…
The dielectric permittivity of the orientational glass methanol(x=0.73)-$β$-hydroquinone-clathrate has been studied as function of temperature and waiting time using different temperature-time-protocols. We study aging, rejuvenation and memory effects in the glassy phase and discuss similarities and differences to aging in spin-glasses. We argue that the diluted methanol-clathrate, although conceptually close to its magnetic pendants, takes an intermediate character between a true spin-glass and a pure random field system.
We determine the phase transition of the Levy spin glass. A regularized model where the coupling constants smaller than some cutoff $ε$ are neglected can be studied by the cavity method for diluted spin glasses. We show how to handle the $ε\to 0$ limit and determine the de Almeida-Thouless transition temperature in presence of an external field. Contrary to previous findings, in zero external field we do not find any stable replica-symmetric spin glass phase: the spin glass phase is always a replica-symmetry-broken phase.
The spin-glass transition in external magnetic field is studied both in and out of the limit of validity of mean-field theory on a diluted one dimensional chain of Ising spins where exchange bonds occur with a probability decaying as the inverse power of the distance. Varying the power in this long-range model corresponds, in a one-to-one relationship, to change the dimension in spin-glass short-range models. Evidence for a spin-glass transition in magnetic field is found also for systems whose equivalent dimension is below the upper critical dimension at zero magnetic field.
We consider the one-dimensional model of a spin glass with independent Gaussian-distributed random interactions, that have mean zero and variance $1/|i-j|^{2σ}$, between the spins at sites $i$ and $j$ for all $i\neq j$. It is known that, for $σ>1$, there is no phase transition at any non-zero temperature in this model. We prove rigorously that, for $σ>3/2$, any Newman-Stein metastate for the ground states (i.e.\ the frequencies with which distinct ground states are observed in finite size samples in the limit of infinite size, for given disorder) is trivial and unique. In other words, for give…
Structural glasses feature quasilocalized excitations whose frequencies $ω$ follow a universal density of states ${\cal D}(ω)\!\sim\!ω^4$. Yet, the underlying physics behind this universality is not fully understood. Here we study a mean-field model of quasilocalized excitations in glasses, viewed as groups of particles embedded inside an elastic medium and described collectively as anharmonic oscillators. The oscillators, whose harmonic stiffness is taken from a rather featureless probability distribution (of upper cutoff $κ_0$) in the absence of interactions, interact among themselves throug…
In this paper we study, via equilibrium statistical mechanics, the properties of the internal energy of an Hopfield neural network whose patterns are stored continuously (Gaussian distributed). The model is shown to be equivalent to a bipartite spin glass in which one party is given by dichotomic neurons and the other party by Gaussian spin variables. Dealing with replicated systems, beyond the Mattis magnetization, we introduce two overlaps, one for each party, as order parameters of the theory: The first is a standard overlap among neural configurations on different replicas, the second is a…
We consider the statistical properties over disordered samples of the overlap distribution $P_{\cal J}(q)$ which plays the role of an order parameter in spin-glasses. We show that near zero temperature (i) the {\it typical} overlap distribution is exponentially small in the central region of $-1<q<1$: $ P^{typ}(q) = e^{\bar{\ln P_{\cal J}(q)}} \sim e^{- βN^θ ϕ(q)} $, where $θ$ is the droplet exponent defined here with respect to the total number $N$ of spins (in order to consider also fully connected models where the notion of length does not exist); (ii) the rescaled variable $v = - (\ln P_{\…
Understanding the low-temperature pure state structure of spin glasses remains an open problem in the field of statistical mechanics of disordered systems. Here we study Monte Carlo dynamics, performing simulations of the growth of correlations following a quench from infinite temperature to a temperature well below the spin-glass transition temperature $T_c$ for a one-dimensional Ising spin glass model with diluted long-range interactions. In this model, the probability $P_{ij}$ that an edge $\{i,j\}$ has nonvanishing interaction falls as a power-law with chord distance, $P_{ij}\propto1/R_{ij…
The nature of ordering in dilute dipolar interacting systems dates back to the work of Debye and is one of the most basic, oldest and as-of-yet unsettled problems in magnetism. While spin-glass order is readily observed in several RKKY-interacting systems, dipolar spin-glasses are subject of controversy and ongoing scrutiny, e.g., in ${{\rm LiHo_xY_{1-x}F_4}}$, a rare-earth randomly diluted uniaxial (Ising) dipolar system. In particular, it is unclear if the spin-glass phase in these paradigmatic materials persists in the limit of zero concentration or not. We study an effective model of ${{\r…
This thesis focuses on the XY model, the simplest vector spin model, used for describing numerous physical systems. It is studied for different sources of quenched disorder: random couplings, random fields, or both them. The belief propagation algorithm and the cavity method are exploited to solve the model on the sparse topology provided by Bethe lattices. It is found that the discretized version of the XY model, the so-called $Q$-state clock model, provides a reliable and efficient proxy for the continuous model with an error going to zero exponentially in $Q$, so implying a remarkable speed…
The Ising model in a random field and with power-law decaying ferromagnetic bonds is studied at zero temperature. Comparing the scaling of the energy contributions of the ferromagnetic domain wall flip and of the random field a la Imry-Ma we obtain a threshold value for the power $ρ$ of the long-range interaction, beyond which no critical behavior occurs. The critical threshold value is $ρ_c=3/2$, at a difference with the zero field model in which $ρ_c=2$. This prediction is confirmed by numerical computation of the ground states below, at, and above this threshold value. Some possible implica…
A spin glass is a diluted magnetic material in which the magnetic moments are randomly interacting, with a huge number of metastable states which prevent reaching equilibrium. Spin-glass models are conceptually simple, but require very sophisticated treatments. These models have become a paradigm for the understanding of glassy materials and also for the solution of complex optimization problems. After cooling from the paramagnetic phase, the spin glass remains out of equilibrium, and slowly evolves. This aging phenomenon corresponds to the growth of a mysterious "spin-glass order", whose corr…
Using mappings to computer-science problems and by applying sophisticated algorithms, one can study numerically many problems much better compared to applying standard approaches like Monte Carlo simulations. Here, using calculations of ground states of suitable perturbed systems, droplets are obtained in two-dimensional +-J spin glasses, which are in the focus of a currently very lifely debate. Since a sophisticated matching algorithm is applied here, exact ground states of large systems up to L^2=256^2 spins can be generated. Furthermore, no equilibration or extrapolation to T=0 is necessary…
Using Monte Carlo simulations, we study in detail the overlap distribution for individual samples for several spin-glass models including the infinite-range Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model, short-range Edwards-Anderson models in three and four space dimensions, and one-dimensional long-range models with diluted power-law interactions. We study three long-range models with different powers as follows: the first is approximately equivalent to a short-range model in three dimensions, the second to a short-range model in four dimensions, and the third to a short-range model in the mean-field regime.…
We study a p-spin spin-glass model to understand if the finite-temperature glass transition found in the mean-field regime of p-spin models, and used to model the behavior of structural glasses, persists in the non-mean-field regime. By using a 3-spin spin-glass model with long-range power-law diluted interactions we are able to continuously tune the (effective) space dimension via the exponent of the interactions. Monte Carlo simulations of the spin-glass susceptibility and the two-point finite-size correlation length show that deep in the non-mean-field regime the finite-temperature transiti…
