Graph $C^\ast$-algebras with a $T_1$ primitive ideal space

We give necessary and sufficient conditions which a graph should satisfy in order for its associated $C^\ast$-algebra to have a $T_1$ primitive ideal space. We give a description of which one-point sets in such a primitive ideal space are open, and use this to prove that any purely infinite graph $C^\ast$-algebra with a $T_1$ (in particular Hausdorff) primitive ideal space, is a $c_0$-direct sum of Kirchberg algebras. Classification of $\mathcal O_\infty$-stable $C^\ast$-algebras

I present a proof of Kirchberg's classification theorem: two separable, nuclear, $\mathcal O_\infty$-stable $C^\ast$-algebras are stably isomorphic if and only if they are ideal-related $KK$-equivalent. In particular, this provides a more elementary proof of the Kirchberg--Phillips theorem which is isolated in the paper to increase readability of this important special case.

Primitive ideals and pure infiniteness of ultragraph $C^*$-algebras

Let $\mathcal{G}$ be an ultragraph and let $C^*(\mathcal{G})$ be the associated $C^*$-algebra introduced by Mark Tomforde. For any gauge invariant ideal $I_{(H,B)}$ of $C^*(\mathcal{G})$, we approach the quotient $C^*$-algebra $C^*(\mathcal{G})/I_{(H,B)}$ by the $C^*$-algebra of finite graphs and prove versions of gauge invariant and Cuntz-Krieger uniqueness theorems for it. We then describe primitive gauge invariant ideals and determine purely infinite ultragraph $C^*$-algebras (in the sense of Kirchberg-R$ø$rdam) via Fell bundles.

Extensions of quasidiagonal $C^*$-algebras and controlling the $K_0$-map of embeddings

We study the validity of the Blackadar-Kirchberg conjecture for extensions of separable, nuclear, quasidiagonal $C^*$-algebras that satisfy the UCT. More specifically, we show that the conjecture for the extension has an affirmative answer if the ideal lies in a class of $C^*$-algebras that is closed under local approximations and contains all separable ASH algebras, as well as certain classes of simple, unital $C^*$-algebras and crossed products of unital $C^*$-algebras with the integers.

We define type $\mathfrak{A}$, type $\mathfrak{B}$, type $\mathfrak{C}$ as well as C*-semi-finite C*-algebras. It is shown that a von Neumann algebra is a type $\mathfrak{A}$, type $\mathfrak{B}$, type $\mathfrak{C}$ or C*-semi-finite C*-algebra if and only if it is, respectively, a type I, type II, type III or semi-finite von Neumann algebra.
