Considering the large value of the top Yukawa coupling, we investigate the leading one-loop Yukawa electroweak corrections that can be induced by the top quark in a process such as Higgs production in association with a tagged bottom anti-bottom pair at the LHC. At NLO these contributions are found to be small at the LHC both for the total cross section and for the distributions. In the limit of vanishing bottom Yukawa coupling where the LO contribution vanishes, the process can still be induced at one-loop through the top quark transition. Though this contribution which can be counted as part of the NNLO correction is small for Higgs masses around 120GeV, it quickly picks up for higher Higgs masses. This contribution represents the rescattering of the top quarks and their decay into W's leading to Higgs production through WW fusion
The consequences of Gauge-Yukawa Unification (GYU) in supersymmetric unified models on low energy physics are analyzed. We find that the observed top-bottom mass hierarchy can be explained by supersymmetric GYU and different models can be experimentally distinguished if the top quark mass does not exceed the value $\sim 185$ GeV.
In some extensions of the Standard Model, Yukawa couplings of the physical Higgs boson can be deviated from those in the Standard Model. We study a possibility whether or not such anomalous Yukawa couplings are consistent with the LHC Run 1 data. It is found that sizable deviations of top and bottom (and tau) Yukawa couplings from the Standard Model predictions can nicely fit the data. New physics beyond the Standard Model can be revealed through more precise measurements of such anomalous Yukawa couplings at the LHC Run 2 in the near future. We also discuss a simple setup which can leads to a…
The idea of Gauge-Yukawa Unification (GYU) based on the principle of reduction of couplings is elucidated. We show how the observed top-bottom mass hierarchy can be explained in terms of supersymmetric GYU by considering an example of the minimal supersymmetric GUT.
The effective bottom Yukawa couplings are analyzed for the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model at two-loop accuracy within SUSY-QCD. They include the resummation of the dominant corrections for large values of tg(beta). In particular the two-loop SUSY-QCD corrections to the leading SUSY-QCD and top-induced SUSY-electroweak contributions are addressed. The residual theoretical uncertainties range at the per-cent level.
We extend the already existing two-loop calculation of the effective bottom-Yukawa coupling in the MSSM. In addition to the resummation of the dominant corrections for large values of tg$β$, we include the subleading terms related to the trilinear Higgs coupling $A_b$ and contributions induced by the electroweak gauge couplings. This calculation has been extended to the NNLO corrections to the MSSM strange-Yukawa coupling. Our analysis leads to residual theoretical uncertainties of the effective Yukawa couplings at the per-cent level.
We present a supersymmetric SU(5) x U(1)_H model, free from gauge anomalies, where the Abelian factor U(1)_H, introduced to account for the hierarchy of fermion masses and mixings, is broken by the same adjoint representations of SU(5) that also break the GUT symmetry. The model predicts approximate, but never exact, bottom-tau Yukawa unification. The deviations are related to group theoretical coefficients and can naturally be at the level of 10%-20%.
We calculate the O(alpha alpha_s) corrections to the relationships between the MS-bar Yukawa couplings and the pole masses of the first five quark flavours in the standard model. We also present the corresponding relationships between the MS-bar and pole masses, which emerge as by-products of our main analysis. The occurring self-energies are evaluated using the method of asymptotic expansion.
We present analytic expressions for the top and bottom Yukawa couplings in the context of the minimal supersymmetric standard model when both couplings $h_{t,0},h_{b,0}$ are large at the unification scale. For sufficiently large $h_{t,0},h_{b,0}$, i.e. within $\sim (20-25)\% $ close to their fixed point values, using as input the central value of the bottom mass $m_b(m_b)=4.25GeV$, we find that the top mass lies in the range $m_t \approx (174-178)GeV$, while $tanβ\approx (55-58)$. Implications on the evolution of the scalar masses and the radiative symmetry breaking scenario are discussed. %
We discuss the unification of the bottom quark and tau lepton Yukawa couplings within the framework of the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model. We compare the allowed regions of the $m_t$-$\tan β$ plane to those in the minimal supersymmetric standard model, and find that over much of the parameter space the deviation between the predictions of two models is small, and nearly always much less than the effect of current theoretical and experimental uncertainties in the bottom quark mass and the strong coupling constant. However over some regions of parameter space top-bottom Yukawa uni…
We study the relationship between the $\overline{\mathrm{MS}}$ Yukawa coupling and the pole mass for the bottom and top quarks at the two-loop electroweak order ${\cal O}(α^2)$ in the gaugeless limit of the standard model. We also consider the $\overline{\mathrm{MS}}$ to pole mass relationships at this order, which include tadpole contributions to ensure the gauge independence of the $\overline{\mathrm{MS}}$ masses. In order to suppress numerically large tadpole contributions, we propose a redefinition of the running heavy-quark mass in terms of the $\overline{\mathrm{MS}}$ Yukawa coupling. We…
In the MSSM extended by a complete vectorlike family, precise top, bottom and tau Yukawa coupling unification can be achieved assuming SUSY threshold corrections which are typical for comparable superpartner masses. Furthermore, the unification is possible with a large unified coupling, implying that all three fermion masses can be simultaneously close to their IR fixed points. Assuming unified Yukawa couplings of order one or larger, the preferred common scale of new physics (superpartners and vectorlike matter) is in the 3 TeV to 30 TeV range, with larger couplings favoring smaller scales. S…
We investigate the leading one-loop Yukawa corrections to the process pp-> b anti-b H in the Standard Model. We find that the next-to-leading order correction to the cross section is small about -4% if the Higgs mass is 120GeV. However, the appearance of leading Landau singularity when $M_H > 2M_W$ can lead to a large correction at the next-to-next-to-leading order level for a Higgs mass around 160GeV.
Results for the two-loop corrections to the Higgs-boson masses of the MSSM with complex parameters of $\mathcal{O}{\left(α_t^2+α_tα_b+α_b^2\right)}$ from the Yukawa sector in the gauge-less limit are presented. The corresponding self-energies and their renormalization have been obtained in the Feynman-diagrammatic approach. The impact of the new contributions on the Higgs spectrum is investigated. Furthermore, a comparison with an existing result in the limit of the MSSM with real parameters is carried out. The new results will be included in the public code $\texttt{FeynHiggs}$.
The condition of unification of gauge couplings in the minimal supersymmetric standard model provides successful predictions for the weak mixing angle as a function of the strong gauge coupling and the supersymmetric threshold scale. In addition, in some scenarios, e.g.\ in the minimal SO(10) model, the tau lepton and the bottom and top quark Yukawa couplings unify at the grand unification scale. The condition of Yukawa unification leads naturally to large values of $\tanβ$, implying a proper top quark--bottom quark mass hierarchy. In this work, we investigate the feasibility of unification of…
We propose a new method for measuring the H -> bb rate at the CERN LHC in a manner which would allow extraction of the b quark Yukawa coupling. Higgs boson production in purely electroweak WHjj events is calculated. The Standard Model signal rate including decays W -> l nu and H -> bb is 11 fb for M_H = 120 GeV. It is possible to suppress the principal backgrounds, Wbbjj and ttjj, to approximately the level of the signal. As the top quark Yukawa coupling does not appear in this process, it promises a reliable extraction of g_Hbb in the context of the Standard Model or some extensions, such as …
The small mass of the bottom quark, relative to its weak isospin partner, the top quark, makes the bottom an effective probe of new physics in Higgs and top sectors. We study the Higgs boson production associated with bottom quarks, ppbar/pp to phi+b+bbar to 4b, at the Fermilab Tevatron and the CERN LHC. We find that strong and model-independent constraints on the size of the phi-b-bbar coupling can be obtained for a wide range of Higgs boson masses. Their implications for the composite Higgs models with strong dynamics associated with the third family quarks (such as the top-condensate/topcol…
The two-loop ``top-down'' renormalization group flow for the top, bottom and tau Yukawa couplings is explored in the framework of supersymmetric grand unification; reproduction of the physical bottom and tau masses is required. Instead of following the recent trend of implementing exact Yukawa coupling unification i) a search for infrared (IR) fixed lines and fixed points in the m(top)-tan(beta) plane is performed and ii) the extent to which these imply approximate Yukawa unification is determined. Two IR fixed lines, intersecting in an IR fixed point, are located. The more attractive fixed li…
Third family Yukawa unification, as suggested by minimal SO(10) unification, is revisited in light of recent experimental measurements and theoretical progress. We characterize unification in a semi-model-independent fashion, and conclude that finite $b$ quark mass corrections from superpartners must be nonzero, but much smaller than naively would be expected. We show that a solution that does not require cancellations of dangerously large tanbeta effects in observables implies that scalar superpartner masses should be substantially heavier than the Z scale, and perhaps inaccessible to all cur…
The study of the Higgs boson properties is one of the most relevant activities in current particle physics. In particular, the Higgs boson couplings to third generation fermions is an important test of the mechanism of mass generation. In spite of their impact on the production and decay properties of the Higgs boson, the values of these couplings are still uncertain and, in models of new physics, they can differ in magnitude as well as in sign with respect to the Standard Model case. In this article, we study the possibility of a wrong sign bottom-quark Yukawa coupling within the framework of…
We consider $b$-$τ$ unification in supersymmetric $SU(5)$ grand unified theories (GUTs) with extra matters. The renormalization group runnings of $b$ and $τ$ Yukawa coupling constants may be significantly affected by the existence of extra matters. If the extra matters interact with the standard model particles (and their superpartners) only through gauge interaction, the ratio of the $b$ to $τ$ Yukawa coupling constants at the GUT scale becomes suppressed compared to the case without extra matters. This is mainly due to the change of the renormalization group running of the $SU(3)_C$ gauge co…
Measuring the fermion Yukawa coupling constants is important for understanding the origin of the fermion masses and its relationship to the spontaneously electroweak symmetry breaking. On the other hand, some new physics models will change the Lorentz structure of the Yukawa interactions between the standard model (SM) fermions and the SM-like Higgs boson even in their decoupling limit. Thus the precisely measurement of the fermion Yukawa interactions is a powerful tool of new physics searching in the decoupling limit. In this work, we show the possibility of investigating the Lorentz structur…
In this letter we present the results of the exact computation of contributions to the Higgs boson decay into bottom quarks that are proportional to the top Yukawa coupling. Our computation demonstrates that approximate results already available in the literature turn out to be particularly accurate for the three physical mass values of the Higgs boson, the bottom and top quarks. Furthermore, contrary to expectations, the impact of these corrections on differential distributions relevant for the searches of the Higgs boson decaying into bottom quarks at the Large Hadron Collider is rather smal…
We present the two-loop SUSY-QCD corrections to the effective bottom Yukawa couplings within the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model. The effective Yukawa couplings include the resummation of the non-decoupling corrections Delta m_b for large values of tg(beta). We have derived the two-loop SUSY-QCD corrections to the leading SUSY-QCD and top-induced SUSY-electroweak contributions to Delta m_b. The scale dependence of the resummed Yukawa couplings is reduced from O(10%) to the per-cent level. These results reduce the theoretical uncertainties of the MSSM Higgs branching rati…
Current LHC results indicate a possible enhancement in the production of Higgs bosons in association with top quarks (tth) over the Standard Model (SM) expectations, suggesting an increase in the top Yukawa coupling. To explain these results, we study the effect of adding to the SM a small set of vector-like partners of the top and bottom quarks with masses of order ~1 TeV. We consider Yukawa coupling matrices with vanishing determinant and show that then, Higgs production through gluon fusion is not affected by deviations in the top quark Yukawa coupling, and in fact depends only on deviation…
Testing the stability of the electroweak vacuum in any extension of the Standard Model Higgs sector is of great importance to verify the consistency of the theory. Multi-scalar extensions as the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model generically lead to unstable configurations in certain regions of parameter space. An exact minimization of the scalar potential is rather an impossible analytic task. To give handy analytic constraints, a specific direction in field space has to be considered which is a simplification that tends to miss excluded regions, however good to quickly check parameter poi…
The recent discovery of the bottom quark Yukawa coupling ($hbb$) of the 125 GeV scalar motivates one to search for extra bottom Yukawa coupling that may exist in the nature. The two Higgs doublet model without a discrete $Z_2$ symmetry allows the possibility of additional bottom Yukawa coupling $ρ_{bb}$. We show that $ρ_{bb}$ can be searched directly at the LHC via $bg\to b A \to b Z H$ and $gg \to b \bar b A \to b \bar b Z H$ processes, where $A$ and $H$ are the CP-odd and CP-even scalars respectively. We find that the $bg\to b A \to b Z H$ process could be discovered with $\sim300$ fb$^{-1}$…
We complete the effective potential calculation of the two-loop, top/bottom Yukawa corrections to the Higgs boson masses in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, by computing the O(at^2 + at*ab + ab^2) contributions for arbitrary values of the bottom Yukawa coupling. We also compute the corrections to the minimization conditions of the effective potential at the same perturbative order. Our results extend the existing O(at^2) calculation, and are relevant in regions of the parameter space corresponding to tan(beta) >> 1. We extend to the Yukawa corrections a convenient renormalization sch…
Electric dipole moments are sensitive probes of new phases in the Higgs Yukawa couplings. We calculate the complete two-loop QCD anomalous dimension matrix for the mixing of CP-odd scalar and tensor operators and apply our results for a phenomenological study of CP violation in the bottom and charm Yukawa couplings. We find large shifts of the induced Wilson coefficients at next-to-leading-logarithmic order. Using the experimental bound on the electric dipole moment of the neutron, we update the constraints on CP-violating phases in the bottom and charm quark Yukawas.
We study the Yukawa unification, in particular, the unification of the Yukawa coupling constants of $b$ and $τ$, in the framework of supersymmetric (SUSY) model. We concentrate on the model in which the SUSY breaking scalar masses are of the order of the gravitino mass while the gaugino masses originate from the effect of anomaly mediation and hence are one-loop suppressed relative to the gravitino mass. We perform an accurate calculation of the Yukawa coupling constants of $b$ and $τ$ at the grand unified theory (GUT) scale, including relevant renormalization group effects and threshold corre…
We propose a bottom-up approach that a structure of a high-energy physics is explored by accumulating existence proofs and/or no-go theorems in the standard model or its extension. As an illustration, we study fermion mass hierarchies based on an extension of the standard model with vector-like fermions. It is shown that a magnitude of elements of Yukawa coupling matrices can become $O(1)$ and a Yukawa coupling unification can be realized in a theory beyond the extended model, if vector-like fermions mix with three families. In this case, small Yukawa couplings in the standard model can be hig…
We study the discovery reach of the Tevatron and the LHC for detecting a Higgs boson (h), predicted in composite models of the electroweak symmetry breaking or in supersymmetric theories, with an enhanced b-quark Yukawa coupling via p \bar{p} / p p \to b \bbar h (\to b \bbar) + X. Our analysis shows that studying this process at the Tevatron Run II or the LHC can provide strong constraints on these models.
We compute the complete next-to-leading order SUSY-QCD corrections for the associated production of a charged Higgs boson with a top quark via bottom-gluon fusion. We investigate the applicability of the bottom parton description in detail. The higher order corrections can be split into real and virtual corrections for a general two Higgs doublet model and into additional massive supersymmetric loop contributions. We find that the perturbative behavior is well under control. The supersymmetric contributions consist of the universal bottom Yukawa coupling corrections and non-factorizable diagra…
We consider a scenario in which an extra bottom Yukawa coupling can drive electroweak baryogenesis in the general two-Higgs doublet model. It is found that the new bottom Yukawa coupling with $\mathcal{O}(0.1)$ in magnitude can generate the sufficient baryon asymmetry without conflicting existing data. We point out that future measurements of the bottom Yukawa coupling at High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider and International Linear Collider, together with the CP asymmetry of $B\to X_sγ$ at SuperKEKB provide exquisite probes for this scenario.
A natural gradual extension of the idea of Grand Unification is to attempt to relate the gauge and Yukawa couplings; Gauge-Yukawa Unification (GYU). However, within the framework of renormalizable field theories, there exists no realistic symmetry that leads to a GYU. Here we propose an approach to GYU which is based on the principle of the reduction of couplings and finiteness in supersymmetric Grand Unified Theories. We elucidate how the observed top-bottom mass hierarchy can be explained in terms of supersymmetric GYU by considering an example of the $SU(5)$ Finite Unified Theory. It is exp…
We analyze the quantum transport equations for supersymmetric electroweak baryogenesis including previously neglected bottom and tau Yukawa interactions and show that they imply the presence of a previously unrecognized dependence of the cosmic baryon asymmetry on the spectrum of third generation quark and lepton superpartners. For fixed values of the CP-violating phases in the supersymmetric theory, the baryon asymmetry can vary in both magnitude and sign as a result of the squark and slepton mass dependence. For light, right-handed top and bottom quark superpartners, the baryon number creati…
We study the influence of messenger Yukawa couplings and top, bottom and $τ$ Yukawa couplings on the proton lifetime in SU(5) Supersymmetric GUT with dynamical supersymmetry breaking mechanism due to Dine and Nelson.

Very recently, the CMS collaboration has reported a search for the production for a Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson in association with a top quark pair ($t bar{t} H$) at the LHC Run-2 and a best fit $t bar{t} H$ yield of $1.5 pm 0.5$ times the SM prediction with an observed significance of $3.3 sigma$. We study a possibility of whether or not this observed deviation can be explained by anomalous Higgs Yukawa couplings with the top and the bottom quarks, along with the LHC Run-1 data for the Higgs boson properties. We find that anomalous top and bottom Yukawa couplings with about $0-20$% and $…
We present predictions for the Higgs boson decay into four bottom quarks in the standard model and via light exotic scalars retaining full bottom-quark mass dependence. In the SM the decay can be induced either by the Yukawa couplings of bottom quarks and top quarks or the electroweak couplings. We calculate the partial decay width and various differential distributions up to next-to-leading order in QCD. We find large QCD corrections for decay via Yukawa couplings, as large as 90% for the partial decay width, and reduced scale variations. The results of this paper are therefore helpful for th…
We investigate models of a heavy neutral gauge boson Z' which could explain anomalies in B meson decays reported by the LHCb experiment. In these models, the Z' boson couples mostly to third generation fermions. We show that bottom quarks arising from gluon splitting can fuse into Z' as an essential production mechanism at the LHC, thereby allowing to probe these models. The study is performed within a generic framework for explaining the B anomalies that can be accommodated in well motivated models. The flavor violating b s coupling associated with Z' in such models produces lower bound on th…
We study the deviation of yukawa coupling in the gauge-Higgs unification scenario from the Standard Model one. Taking into account the brane mass terms necessary for generating the flavor mixing and removing the exotic massless fermions, we derive an analytic formula determining the KK mass spectrum and yukawa coupling. Applying the obtained results to the tau and bottom yukawa couplings, we numerically calculate the ratio of the yukawa couplings in the gauge-Higgs unification and in the Standard Model.
We study the deviation of yukawa coupling in the gauge-Higgs unification scenario from the Standard Model one. Applying the obtained results to the tau and bottom yukawa couplings, we numerically calculate the signal strength of $gg \to H \to \bar b b, \bar τ τ$in the gauge-Higgs unification.
We study the prospect of probing electroweak baryogenesis driven by an extra bottom Yukawa coupling $ρ_{bb}$ in a general two Higgs doublet model via electric dipole moment (EDM) measurements and at the collider experiments. The parameter space receives meaningful constraints from 125 GeV Higgs $h$ boson signal strength measurements as well as several heavy Higgs boson searches at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). In addition, we show that the asymmetry of the CP asymmetry of inclusive $B\to X_s γ$ decay would provide complementary probe. A discovery is possible at the LHC via $bg\to bA \to b Z…
We consider a class of seven-dimensional N=1 supersymmetric orbifold GUTs in which the Standard Model (SM) gauge couplings and one of the Yukawa couplings (top quark, bottom quark or tau lepton) are unified, without low energy supersymmetry, at M_{GUT} \simeq 4 \times 10^{16} GeV. With gauge-top quark Yukawa coupling unification the SM Higgs boson mass is estimated to be 135 \pm 6 GeV, which increases to 144 \pm 4 GeV for gauge-bottom quark (or gauge-tau lepton) Yukawa coupling unification.
An analysis is made on bottom-tau Yukawa unification in supersymmetric (SUSY) SU(5) grand unified theory (GUT) in the framework of minimal supergravity, in which the parameter space is restricted by some experimental constraints including Br(b to s gamma) and muon g-2. The bottom-tau unification can be accommodated to the measured branching ratio Br(b to s gamma) if superparticle masses are relatively heavy and higgsino mass parameter μis negative. On the other hand, if we take the latest muon g-2 data to require positive SUSY contributions, then wrong-sign threshold corrections at SUSY scale …
We apply the full one-loop corrections to the masses, gauge couplings, and Yukawa couplings in the minimal supersymmetric standard model. We focus on predictions for the strong coupling and the bottom-quark pole mass in the context of SU(5) supersymmetric grand unification. We discuss our results in both the small and large $\tanβ$ regimes. We demonstrate that the finite (non-logarithmic) corrections to the weak mixing angle are essential in determining $α_s$ and $m_b$ when some superpartner masses are light. Minimal SU(5) predicts acceptable $α_s$ and $m_b$ only at small $\tanβ$ with SUSY mas…
Supersymmetric SO(10) Grand Unified Theories with Yukawa unification represent an appealing possibility for physics beyond the Standard Model. However Yukawa unification is made difficult by large threshold corrections to the bottom mass. Generally one is led to consider models where the sfermion masses are large in order to suppress these corrections. Here we present another possibility, in which the top and bottom GUT scale Yukawa couplings are equal to a component of the charged lepton Yukawa matrix at the GUT scale in a basis where this matrix is not diagonal. Physically, this weak eigenst…
We calculate the large Yukawa coupling corrections to the top and bottom scalar quark pair production in $\ee$ annihilation within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We include the vertex corrections and the corrections to the gauge boson propagator enhanced by large masses. We find the total corrections are quite significant. In some regions of the parameter space the corrections are larger than 10%.
If the sparticles are relatively heavy (a few TeV) while the Higgs sector is not so heavy ($m_A$ is not so large), the Higgs boson Yukawa couplings can harbor sizable quantum effects of sparticles and these large residual effects may play a special role in probing supersymmetry at foreseeable colliders. In this work, focusing on the supersymmetric QCD effects in the hbb coupling (h is the lightest CP-even Higgs boson), we give a comparative study for the two popular supersymmetric models: the MSSM and NMSSM. While for both models the supersymmetric QCD can leave over large residual quantum eff…
The status of top-bottom-tau Yukawa coupling unification in supersymmetric SO(10) models is reviewed with a particular emphasis on the implications of the Higgs boson mass in the vicinity of 125 GeV, as suggested by the LHC Higgs data. In addition, the recently proposed model with negative μ, D-term splitting of the soft scalar masses and non-universal gaugino masses generated by a non-zero F-term in a 24-dimensional representation of SU(5) \subset SO(10) is re-analysed in the context of the 125 GeV Higgs. The condition of top-bottom-tau Yukawa unification together with the Higgs mass of about…
The wave functions and Yukawa couplings of the top and bottom quarks in the SO(5) x U(1) gauge-Higgs unification model are determined. The result is summarized in the effective interactions for \hat θ_H(x) = θ_H + H(x)/f_H where θ_H is the Wilson line phase and H(x) is the 4D Higgs field. The Yukawa, WWH and ZZH couplings vanish at θ_H = \onehalf π. There emerges the possibility that the Higgs particle becomes stable.
A bottom-up approach has been adopted to identify a flavour model that agrees with present experimental measurements. The charged fermion mass hierarchies suggest that only the top Yukawa term should be present at the renormalisable level. The flavour symmetry of the Lagrangian including the fermionic kinetic terms and only the top Yukawa is then a combination of $U(2)$ and $U(3)$ factors. Lighter charged fermion and active neutrino masses and quark and lepton mixings arise considering specific spurion fields. The associated phenomenology is investigated and the model turns out to have almost …

The top-Yukawa-coupling enhanced two-loop corrections to the charged Higgs-boson mass in the real MSSM are presented. The contributing two-loop self-energies are calculated in the Feynman- diagrammatic approach in the gaugeless limit with vanishing external momentum and bottom mass, within a renormalization scheme comprising on-shell and $\overline{\text{DR}}$ conditions. Numerical results illustrate the effect of the $\mathcal{O}{(α_t^2)}$ contributions and the importance of the two-loop corrections to the mass of the charged Higgs bosons.
We study gauge and Yukawa coupling unification in the simplest extension of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) which incorporates R-Parity violation through a bilinear superpotential term. Contrary to what happens in the MSSM, we show that bottom-tau unification at the scale M_GUT where the gauge couplings unify can be achieved for any value of tan(beta) by choosing appropriately the sneutrino vacuum expectation value. In addition, we show that bottom-tau-top unification occurs in a slightly wider tan(beta) range than in the MSSM.
