We present an extension of the Monte Carlo Event Generator Whizard which includes chargino production at the ILC at NLO. We include photons using both a fixed order and a resummation approach. While the fixed order approach suffers from negative event weights, the resummation method solves this problem and automatically includes leading higher order corrections. We present results for cross sections and event generation for both methods and evaluate the systematic errors due to soft and collinear approximations. In the resummation approach, the residual uncertainty can be brought down to the per-mil level.
We present an extension of the Monte Carlo Event Generator Whizard which includes chargino production at the ILC at NLO. We present two ways of adding photonic contributions. We present results for cross sections and event generation.

We present a Monte-Carlo event generator for simulating chargino pair-production at the International Linear Collider (ILC) at next-to-leading order in the electroweak couplings. By properly resumming photons in the soft and collinear regions, we avoid negative event weights, so the program can simulate physical (unweighted) event samples. Photons are explicitly generated throughout the range where they can be experimentally resolved. Inspecting the dependence on the cutoffs separating the soft and collinear regions, we evaluate the systematic errors due to soft and collinear approximations. I…
We review the influence of lepton flavour violation (LFV) on the production processes e+e- -> ~chi+_i ~chi-_j at the International Linear Collider (ILC) with longitudinal e+ and e- beam polarizations in the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). The t-channel sneutrino exchange contribution to the processes e+e- -> ~chi+_i ~chi-_j is modified in the case of LFV, as the sneutrino mass eigenstates have no definite flavour, and therefore more than one sneutrino can contribute. This influence can alter the cross section sigma(e+e- -> ~chi+_1 ~chi-_1) by a factor of 2 or mor…
We calculate chargino production at a future linear collider, including full one-loop contributions in the MSSM with complex parameters. To achieve this, we require a comprehensive approach to renormalisation in the chargino and neutralino sector, for the case where parameters can be complex. Using the field renormalisation as developed in Refs. [1-3], we investigate the parameter renormalisation in the complex case. We also study the numerical role of the choice of renormalisation scheme as in Refs. [2-3]. Finally we present new results showing the effect of the phases on the resulting cross …
The lighter chargino, $\widetildeχ_1^{\pm}$, is a prime candidate to be the next-to-lightest SUSY particle (the NLSP). Several analyses of $\widetildeχ_1^{\pm}$ pair-production at the ILC, at specific model-points, have been performed, showing that detection and property-determination is possible, even for very difficult cases. However, no recent studies have evaluated the reach of the ILC to detect $\widetildeχ_1^{\pm}$ pair production in general. In this study, cross sections for $\widetildeχ_1^{\pm}$ pair production at the ILC were evaluated within a wide range of parameters. The aim was to…
We calculate the complete one-loop quantum corrections to the helicity eigenstate chargino pair production cross sections in polarized electron positron collisions, within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We calculate the non-QED corrections using the helicity amplitudes formalism, and Dimensional Regularization to deal with ultraviolet divergences. We calculate QED corrections using the dipole subtraction formalism to extract soft and collinear divergences in Bremsstrahlung, canceling them with the infrared divergences from virtual QED corrections. We show numerical results for the …
We calculate the full one-loop electroweak corrections to tri-boson production (ZZZ and WWZ) at the ILC. This is important to understand the Standard Model (SM) gauge quartic couplings which can be a window on the mechanism of spontaneous symmetry breaking. We find that even after subtracting the leading QED corrections, the electroweak corrections can still be large especially as the energy increases.
Very precise measurements of masses and cross sections, with errors of <1%, are expected to be achievable with a future linear collider. Such an accuracy gives sensitivity at the level of quantum corrections, which therefore must be incorporated in order to make meaningful predictions for the underlying new physics parameters. For the chargino-neutralino sector, this involves fitting one-loop predictions to expected measurements of the cross sections and forward-backward asymmetries and of the accessible chargino and neutralino masses. Our analysis shows how an accurate determination of the de…
We calculate the next-to-leading order inclusive total cross sections for the associated production processes $pp\to \tilde{t}_i\tildeχ_k^-+X$ in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model at the CERN LHC. Our results provide the theoretical predictions for the total cross sections for the above processes. The NLO QCD corrections in general enhance the leading order total cross sections significantly, and vastly reduce the dependence of the total cross sections on the renormalization/factorization scale, which leads to increased confidence in predictions based on these results.
CP violation in the spin-spin correlations in chargino production and subsequent two-body decay into a tau and a tau-sneutrino is studied at the ILC. From the normal polarisation of the tau, an asymmetry is defined to test the CP-violating phase of the higgsino mass parameter μ. Asymmetries of more than \pm70% are obtained, also in scenarios with heavy first and second generation sfermions. Bounds on the statistical significances of the CP asymmetries are estimated. As a result, the normal tau polarisation in the chargino decay is one of the most sensitive probes to constrain or measure the ph…
We study the process of the association production of chargino and neutralino including the NLO QCD and the complete one-loop electroweak corrections in the framework of the minimal supersymmetric standard model(MSSM) at the Fermilab Tevatron and the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). In both the NLO QCD and one-loop electroweak calculations we apply the algorithm of the phase-space slicing(PSS) method. We find that the NLO QCD corrections generally increase the Born cross sections, while the electroweak relative corrections decrease the Born cross section in most of the chosen parameter space.…
We consider NLO chargino production and decays at the ILC. For this, we present an NLO extension of the Monte Carlo Event Generator Whizard including the NLO production. For photonic corrections, we use both a fixed order and a resummation approach. The latter method evades the problem of negative event weights and automatically includes leading higher order corrections. We present results for cross sections and event generation for both methods. As a first step towards a full NLO Monte Carlo, we consider a LO implementation of the chargino production and subsequent leptonic decay and investig…
In this paper, we present the precision predictions for three photon production in the standard model (SM) at the ILC including the full next-to-leading (NLO) electroweak (EW) corrections, high order initial state radiation (h.o.ISR) contributions and beamstrahlung effects. We present the LO and the NLO EW+h.o.ISR+beamstrahlung corrected total cross sections for various colliding energy when $\sqrt s \ge 200 {\rm GeV}$ and the kinematic distributions of final photons with $\sqrt s = 500 {\rm GeV}$ at ILC, and find that the NLO EW corrections, the h.o.ISR contributions and the beamstrahlung eff…
As well known, if the Higgs boson were not observed at LHC, the technicolor model would be the most favorable candidate responsible for the symmetry breaking. To overcome some defects in the previous model, some extended versions have been proposed. In the TC2 model typical signature is existence of heavy $H_{TC}$ and technipion $Π$. A direct proof of validity of the model is to produce them at accelerator. Thus we study the production rates of $ e^ + e^ - \to H_{TC} Π^0 $ and $e^ + e^ - \to Π^ + Π^ -$ at ILC in the topcolor-assisted technicolor (TC2) model. In fact, there is a flood of models…
We report on the precision predictions for the $e^+e^-\to ZZγ$ process including $Z$-boson leptonic decays at the ILC in the standard model (SM). The calculation includes the full next-to-leading (NLO) electroweak (EW) corrections and high order initial state radiation (h.o.ISR) contributions. We find that the NLO EW corrections heavily suppress the LO cross section, and the h.o.ISR effects are notable near the threshold while become small in high energy region. We present the LO and the NLO EW+h.o.ISR corrected distributions of the transverse momenta of final $Z$-boson and photon as well as t…
For the search for electroweak particles in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) as well as for future precision analyses of these particles an accurate knowledge of their production and decay properties is mandatory. We review the evaluation of the cross sections for the chargino, neutralino and scalar lepton production at e+e- colliders in the MSSM with complex parameters (cMSSM). The evaluation is based on a full one-loop calculation of the various production mechanisms, including soft and hard photon radiation. The dependence of the chargino/neutralino/slepton cross sections on…
We investigate the QCD effects in the associated production of the chargino and the neutralino, $\tildeχ^\pm_{1}$ and $\tildeχ^0_{2}$, in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) at both the Fermilab Tevatron and the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We include the next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections (including supersymmetric QCD) and the threshold resummation effects. Our results show that, compared to the NLO predictions, the threshold resummation effects can increase the total cross sections by 3.6% and 3.9% for the associated production of $\tildeχ^+_{1}\tildeχ^0_{2}$ and $…
We study the full contributions at the leading order(LO) and QCD next-to-leading order(NLO) to the cross section of the \eewwbb process in the standard model(SM) at the ILC. In dealing the resonance problem we adopted the complex mass scheme in both tree-level and one-loop level perturbative calculations. Our numerical results show that the K-factor varies from 1.501 to 0.847 when $\sqrt{s}$ goes up from $360 GeV$ to $1.5 TeV$. We investigate the dependence of the LO and QCD NLO corrected cross sections of process \eewwbb on colliding energy $\sqrt{s}$ and Higgs-boson mass. We also present the…
We discuss top-quark physics at the ILC with a focus on the full off-shell processes for $t\bar{t}$ and $t\bar{t}H$ production, including top-quark decays and also leptonic $W$ decays. A special focus is on the matching of the resummed vNRQCD threshold calculation and the fixed-order NLO QCD continuum calculation, where we present an update on the validation of the matching. All of the calculations have been performed in the \wz event generator framework.
We present a Monte-Carlo event generator for simulating chargino pair production at the ILC at next-to-leading order in the electroweak couplings. We consider two approaches of including photon radiation. A strict fixed-order approach allows for comparison and consistency checks with published semianalytic results in the literature. A version with soft- and hard-collinear resummation of photon radiation, which combines photon resummation with the inclusion of the NLO matrix element for the production process, avoids negative event weights, so the program can simulate physical (unweighted) even…
In split supersymmetry, gauginos and Higgsinos are the only supersymmetric particles which are possibly accessible at foreseeable colliders. While the direct experimental searches, such as LEP and Tevatron experiments, gave robust lower bounds on the masses of these particles, the cosmic dark matter can give some upper bounds and thus have important implications for the searches at future colliders. In this work we scrutinize such dark matter constraints and show the allowed mass range for charginos and neutralinos (the mass eigenstates of gauginos and Higgsinos). We find that the lightest cha…
We make use of recently released parton density functions (PDFs) with threshold-resummation improvement to consistently calculate theoretical predictions for neutralino and chargino pair production at next-to-leading order and next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy. The updated cross sections have been computed for experimentally relevant higgsino and gaugino search channels at the ongoing Run II of the LHC. A factorisation method is applied to exploit the smaller PDF uncertainty of the global PDF sets and to avoid complications arising in the refitting of threshold-resummation improved PDF repl…
We present a set of NLO SUSY-QCD calculations for the pair production of neutralinos and charginos at the LHC, and their matching to parton-shower programs in the framework of the POWHEG-BOX program package. The code we have developed provides a SUSY Les Houches Accord interface for setting supersymmetric input parameters. Decays of the neutralinos and charginos and parton-shower effects can be simulated with PYTHIA. To illustrate the capabilities of our program, we present phenomenological results for a representative SUSY parameter point. We find that NLO-QCD corrections increase the product…
We re-assess the exclusion limits on the parameters describing the supersymmetric (SUSY) electroweak sector of the MSSM obtained from the search for direct chargino-neutralino production at the LHC. We start from published limits obtained in simplified models, where for the case of heavy sleptons the relevant branching ratio, BR(neu2->neu1 Z), is set to one. We show how the decay mode neu2->neu1 h, which cannot be neglected in any realistic model once kinematically allowed, substantially reduces the excluded parameter region. We analyze the dependence of the excluded regions on the phase of th…
In the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model (NMSSM), the unique $λS H_u H_d$ in the superpotential gives rise to a coupling involving the lighter pseudoscalar Higgs boson and a pair of charged or neutral Higgsinos, even in the limit of zero mixing between the two pseudoscalar Higgs bosons. We study the associated production of a very light pseudoscalar Higgs boson with a pair of charginos. The novel signature involves a pair of charged leptons from chargino decays and a pair of photons from the pseudoscalar Higgs boson decay, plus large missing energy at the LHC and ILC. The signal ma…
We report a next-to-leading order (NLO) calculation of the production of gaugino-like charginos ($\chargino$) and neutralinos ($\neutralino$) in association with gluinos ($\gluino$) at hadron colliders, including the strong corrections from colored particles and sparticles. We predict inclusive cross sections at the Fermilab Tevatron and CERN LHC. The NLO cross sections are more stable against variations in the hard-scattering scale parameter and are greater than the LO values.
The Higgs-boson production in association with a W-boson pair at $e^+e^-$ linear colliders is one of the important processes in probing the coupling between Higgs-boson and vector gauge bosons and discovering the signature of new physics. We describe the impact of the complete electroweak(EW) radiative corrections of ${\cal O}(α_{ew})$ to this process in the standard model(SM) at the International Linear Collider(ILC), and investigate the dependence of the lowest-order(LO) and EW next-to-leading order(NLO) corrected cross sections on colliding energy $\sqrt{s}$ and Higg-boson mass. The LO and …
We present the calculations of the complete next-to-leading order (NLO) inclusive total cross sections for the associated production processes $pp\to \tilde{t}_i\tildeχ_k^-+X$ in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. Our calculations show that the total cross sections for the $\tilde{t}_1\tildeχ_1^-$ production for the lighter top squark masses in the region 100 GeV $< m_{\tilde{t}_1}<$ 160 GeV can reach 1 pb in the favorable parameter space allowed by the current precise experiments, and in other cases the total cross sections generally vary from 10 fb t…
We study pair production of scalar top quarks in polarized photon-photon collisions with the subsequent decay of the top squarks into b-quarks and charginos. We simulate this process by using PYTHIA6.4 for an electron beam energy 2E_beam =1000 GeV. A set of criteria for physical variables is proposed which leads to a good separation of stop signal events from top quark pair production being the main background. These criteria allow us to reconstruct the mass of the top squark provided that the neutralino mass is known.
We calculate the cross-section of the near-threshold off-shell $ZZZ$ and $ZW^+W^-$ production at the International Linear Collider taking into account their instability and the principal part of NLO corrections. The calculations are performed in the framework of the model of unstable particles with smeared mass-shell. We show that the contribution of the finite $Z/W$ and $H$ widths (their instability) is large in the Higgs resonance range and should be taken into account in the Higgs boson searches at future colliders.
We study pair production of scalar top quarks in e+e- collisions with the subsequent decay of the top squarks into b-quarks and charginos. We simulate this process by using PYTHIA6.4 for the beam energy 2Ebeam = 350, 400, 500, 800, 1000 GeV. A set of criteria for physical variables is proposed, which provides good separation of stop signal events from top quark pair production being the main background. These criteria allow us to reconstruct the mass of the top squark with an integrared luminosity of 1000 1/fb provided that the neutralino mass is known.
We calculate the next-to-leading order (NLO) quantum chromodynamics (QCD) correction to the exclusive process $γ+γ\to J/ψ+J/ψ$ in the framework of non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization formalism. The cross sections at the SuperKEKB electron-positron collider, as well as at the future colliders, like the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) and the International Linear Collider (ILC), are evaluated. Numerical result indicates that the process will be hopefully to be seen by the Belle II detector within the next decade.
For the search for charginos and neutralinos in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) as well as for future precision analyses of these particles an accurate knowledge of their production and decay properties is mandatory. We evaluate the cross sections for the chargino and neutralino production at e+e- colliders in the MSSM with complex parameters (cMSSM). The evaluation is based on a full one-loop calculation of the production mechanisms e+e- -> cha_c cha_c' and e+e- -> neu_n neu_n', including soft and hard photon radiation. We mostly restricted ourselves to a version of our renor…
We analyze the impact of electron and positron beam polarization on radiative neutralino production at the International Linear Collider (ILC). We focus on three different mSUGRA scenarios in turn at the Higgs strahlung threshold, the top pair production threshold, and at $\sqrt{s} =500\GeV$. In these scenarios at the corresponding $\sqrt{s}$, radiative neutralino production is the only supersymmetric production mechanism which is kinematically allowed. The heavier neutralinos, and charginos as well as the sleptons, squarks and gluinos are too heavy to be pair produced. We calculate the signal…
We study radiative neutralino production e^+e^- \to \tildeχ^0_1 \tildeχ^0_1γat the linear collider with longitudinally polarised beams. We consider the Standard Model background from radiative neutrino production e^+e^- \to ν\barνγ, and the supersymmetric radiative production of sneutrinos e^+e^- \to \tildeν\tildeν^\ast γ, which can be a background for invisible sneutrino decays. We give the complete tree-level formulas for the amplitudes and matrix elements squared. In the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, we study the dependence of the cross sections on the beam polarisations, on the pa…
A precise calculation of the top quark pair production associated with a hard photon is essential for testing the electroweak property of the top quark in the Standard Model (SM). We investigate the one-loop QCD corrections to the process $e^{+}e^{-} \to t\bar{t}γ$ at the International Linear Collider (ILC), and find that the $K$-factor can be as large as 1.238 (1.105, 1.060) for a center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=500 (800, 1500)$ GeV. The transverse momentum distributions of the top quark and photon are respectively shown at leading order (LO) and next-to-leading order(NLO). Due to the asymmet…
If light--flavor squarks and gluinos are indeed heavy and chargino pair production is plagued with overwhelming backgrounds, pair production and associated production of stops and charginos will become the key signatures in the upcoming LHC runs. We present fully automated next-to-leading order predictions for heavy flavor squark production at the LHC, including stop-chargino associated production, based on MadGolem. We compute the total and differential NLO rates for a variety of MSSM scenarios with a light third generation. We focus on theoretical uncertainties on differential rates, includi…
Recent studies about CP violation in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with complex parameters are reviewed. In order to unambiguously identify the CP-violating phenomena it is necessary to study CP-odd or T-odd observables. In chargino and neutralino production and decay at the International Linear Collider (ILC) triple product asymmetries and asymmetries defined via transverse beam polarization have been analyzed. It has been found that these asymmetries can be measured at the ILC in a large region of the MSSM parameter space and are thus an important tool to establish CP viol…
We discuss the potential of combined analyses at the Large Hadron Collider and the planned International Linear Collider to explore low-energy supersymmetry in a difficult region of the parameter space characterized by masses of the scalar SUSY particles around 2 TeV. Precision analyses of cross sections for light chargino production and forward--backward asymmetries of decay leptons and hadrons at the ILC, together with mass information on chi^0_2 and squarks from the LHC, allow us to determine the underlying fundamental gaugino/higgsino MSSM parameters and to constrain the masses of the heav…
We give a status report on the automation of next-to-leading order processes within the Monte Carlo event generator WHIZARD, using GoSam and OpenLoops as provider for one-loop matrix elements. To deal with divergences, WHIZARD uses automated FKS subtraction, and the phase space for singular regions is generated automatically. NLO examples for both scattering and decay processes with a focus on e+e- processes are shown. Also, first NLO-studies of observables for collisions of polarized leptons beams, e.g. at the ILC, will be presented. Furthermore, the automatic matching of the fixed-order NLO …
We study the pair production of scalar top quarks in e+e- collisions with the subsequent decay of the top squarks into b-quarks and charginos. We simulate this process using PYTHIA6.4 for beam energies 2E_beam = 350, 400, 500, 800, 1000 GeV. Proposing a set of criteria we obtain a good separation of the signal stop events from top quark pair production which is the main background. The number of stop production events obtained with the proposed cuts for different energies is calculated for an integrated luminosity of 1000 1/fb. We propose a method to reconstruct the mass of the top squark, pro…
We discuss the potential of combined LHC and ILC experiments for SUSY searches in a difficult region of the parameter space, in which all sfermion masses are above the TeV scale. Precision analyses of cross sections of light chargino production and forward--backward asymmetries of decay leptons and hadrons at the ILC, together with mass information on \tildeχ^0_2 and squarks from the LHC, allow us to fit rather precisely the underlying fundamental gaugino/higgsino MSSM parameters and to constrain the masses of the heavy virtual sparticles. For such analyses the complete spin correlations betwe…
Top quark pair production in association with a $Z$-boson or a photon at the LHC directly probes neutral top-quark couplings. We present predictions for these two processes in the Standard Model (SM) Effective Field Theory (EFT) at next-to-leading (NLO) order in QCD. We include the full set of CP-even dimension-six operators that enter the top-quark interactions with the SM gauge bosons. For comparison, we also present predictions in the SMEFT for top loop-induced $HZ$ production at the LHC and for $t\bar{t}$ production at the ILC at NLO in QCD. Results for total cross sections and differentia…
The proposed Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC), with a center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s} = 240$ GeV, will primarily serve as a Higgs factory. At the same time, it can offer good opportunities to search for new physics phenomena at low energy, which can be challenging to discover at hadron colliders, but well motivated by some theoretical models developed to explain, e.g., the relic abundance of dark matter. This paper presents sensitivity studies of chargino pair production, considering scenarios for both a Bino-like and a Higgsino-like neutralino as the lightest supersymmetric particle…
Precision measurement for the production of a $Z$-boson in association with two photons is important for investigating the Higgs boson and exploring new physics at the International Linear Collider. It could be used to study the $ZZγγ$ anomalous quartic gauge coupling. In this work we report on our calculation of the full ${\cal O} (α^4)$ contributions to the $e^+e^- \to Z γγ$ process in the standard model, and we analyze the electroweak (EW) quantum effects on the total cross section. We investigate the dependence of the $Zγγ$ production rate on the event selection scheme and provide distribu…
We present the full NLO SUSY-QCD corrections to the pair production of neutralinos and charginos at the LHC in association with a jet and their matching to parton-shower programs in the framework of the POWHEG-BOX package. The code we have developed provides a SUSY Les Houches Accord interface for setting electroweak and supersymmetric input parameters. Decays of the neutralinos and charginos and parton-shower effects can be simulated with multi-purpose programs such as PYTHIA. The capabilities of the code are illustrated by phenomenological results for a parameter point in the framework of pM…
The energy-energy correlation (EEC) function in $e^+e^-$ annihilation is currently the only QCD event shape observable for which we know the full analytic result at the next-to-leading order (NLO). In this work we calculate the EEC observable for gluon initiated Higgs decay analytically at NLO in the Higgs Effective Field Theory (HEFT) framework and provide the full results expressed in terms of classical polylogarithms, including the asymptotic behavior in the collinear and back-to-back limits. This observable can be, in principle, measured at the future $e^+e^-$ colliders such as CEPC, ILC, …
We present a deep learning solution to the prediction of particle production cross sections over a complicated, high-dimensional parameter space. We demonstrate the applicability by providing state-of-the-art predictions for the production of charginos and neutralinos at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the next-to-leading order in the phenomenological MSSM-19 and explicitly demonstrate the performance for $pp\to\tildeχ^+_1\tildeχ^-_1,$ $\tildeχ^0_2\tildeχ^0_2$ and $\tildeχ^0_2\tildeχ^\pm_1$ as a proof of concept which will be extended to all SUSY electroweak pairs. We obtain errors that are…
The associated production of Higgs boson with a hard photon at lepton collider, i.e., $e^+e^-\to Hγ$, is known to bear a rather small cross section in Standard Model, and can serve as a sensitive probe for the potential new physics signals. Similar to the loop-induced Higgs decay channels $H\to γγ, Zγ$, the $e^+e^-\to Hγ$ process also starts at one-loop order provided that the tiny electron mass is neglected. In this work, we calculate the next-to-leading-order (NLO) QCD corrections to this associated $H+γ$ production process, which mainly stem from the gluonic dressing to the top quark loop. …
