We report on a special type of solutions for the gluon propagator of pure QCD, obtained from the corresponding non-linear Schwinger-Dyson equation formulated in the Feynman gauge of the background field method. These solutions reach a finite value in the deep infrared and may be fitted using a massive propagator, with the crucial characteristic that the effective ``mass'' employed depends on the momentum transfer. Specifically, the gluon mass falls off as the inverse square of the momentum, as expected from the operator-product expansion. In addition, one may define a dimensionless quantity, which constitutes the generalization in a non-Abelian context of the universal QED effective charge. This strong effective charge displays asymptotic freedom in the ultraviolet whereas in the low-energy regime it freezes at a finite value, giving rise to an infrared fixed point for QCD.
We complete the calculation of the three-gluon-emission contribution to the same-hemisphere part of the zero-jettiness soft function at next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order in perturbative QCD.
We calculate the full one-loop SUSY-QCD corrections to stop annihilation into gluons and light quarks including the Sommerfeld enhancement effect and discuss their impact on the neutralino relic density in the MSSM.
Nonlocal gluon condensates are vacuum expectations of the product of gluon field strength tensors. Short-distance expansions of two-, three-, and four-gluon condensates are presented up to dimension-8 local operators. We propose a method for calculating the Wilson coefficients based on the presented expansions and the Feynman diagram technique in the background field approach. The method is demonstrated using the glueball current correlators as examples. Methodological aspects of the background field approach are discussed in relation to glueball studies within QCD sum rules. We confirm the re…
Higher-loop corrections to the pseudoscalar ($0^{-+}$) gluonium correlation function will be used to obtain the leading gluon condensate contributions to the subtraction-independent QCD sum-rules. The effect of these higher-loop corrections on the sum-rule estimates of the pseudoscalar gluonium mass will be investigated. The final results of this analysis compare favourably with $SU(3)$ lattice simulations.
We present the two-loop helicity amplitudes for the scattering of two gluons into two gluons in QCD, which are relevant for next-to-next-to-leading order corrections to jet production at hadron colliders. We give the results in the `t Hooft-Veltman and four-dimensional helicity variants of dimensional regularization. Summing our expressions over helicities and colors, and converting to conventional dimensional regularization, gives results in complete agreement with those of Glover, Oleari and Tejeda-Yeomans. We also present the amplitudes for 2 to 2 scattering in pure N=1 supersymmetric Yang-…
We present an analytic three-loop result for the leading color contribution to the Higgs-gluon form factor in QCD. The leading color contribution is given at next-to-next-to-leading order by the $N_c^2$-term in QCD with $N_c$ colors. The main focus of this article lies on the evaluation of the relevant Feynman integrals with a special emphasis on the elliptic sector.
We study the gluon parton densities [parton distribution functions (PDFs), transverse momentum distributions (TMDs), generalized parton distributions (GPDs)] and form factors in soft-wall AdS/QCD. We show that the power behavior of gluon parton distributions and form factors at large values of the light-cone variable and large values of square momentum is consistent with quark counting rules. We also show that the transverse momentum distributions derived in our approach obey the model-independent Mulders-Rodrigues inequalities without referring to specific model parameters. All gluon parton d…
