We set an upper limit on the mass of a supersymmetric neutralino dark matter particle using the MicrOMEGAS and DarkSUSY software packages and the most recent constraints on relic density from combined WMAP and SDSS data. We explore several different possible scenarios within the MSSM, including coannihilation with charginos and sfermions and annihilation through a massive Higgs resonance, using low energy mass inputs. We find that no coannihilation scenario is consistent with dark matter in observed abundance with a mass greater than 2.5 TeV for a wino--type particle or 1.8 TeV for a Higgsino--type. Contrived scenarios involving Higgs resonances with finely--tuned mass parameters can allow masses as high as 34 TeV. The resulting gamma--ray energy distribution is not in agreement with the recent multi--TeV gamma ray spectrum observed by H.E.S.S. originating from the center of the Milky Way. Our results are relevent only for dark matter densities resulting from a thermal origin.
Neutralino dark matter may be incompatible with current cold dark matter models with cuspy dark halos, because excessive synchrotron radiation may originate from neutralino annihilations close to the black hole at the galactic center.
What is the upper limit of the mass of the neutralino dark matter whose thermal relic is consistent with the observation? If the neutralino dark matter and colored sparticles are extremely degenerated in mass, with a mass difference less than the QCD scale, the dark matter annihilation is significantly increased and enjoys the "second freeze-out" after the QCD phase transition. In this case, the neutralino dark matter with a mass much greater than 100 TeV can realize the correct dark matter abundance. We study the dark matter abundance and its detection in the case of such highly degenerated m…
The lightest neutralino in supersymmetry is the most studied dark matter candidate. This writeup reviews the status of neutralino dark matter in minimal and nonminimal supersymmetric models in light of recent null results at the XENON100 experiment and the observation of a 130 GeV gamma ray signal from the Galactic Center by the Fermi LAT.
The LEP experiments give a lower bound on the neutralino mass of about 46 GeV which, however, relies on a supersymmetric grand unification relation. Dropping this assumption, the experimental lower bound on the neutralino mass vanishes completely. Recent analyses suggest, however, that in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM), a light neutralino dark matter candidate has a lower bound on its mass of about 7 GeV. In light of this, we investigate the mass sensitivity at the ILC for very light neutralinos. We study slepton pair production, followed by the decay of the sleptons to a lep…
We study the viability of the lightest neutralino as a dark matter candidate in the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. Taking into account accelerator constraints as well as bounds on low-energy observables, and imposing consistency with present bounds on the neutralino relic density, we address the prospects for the direct detection of neutralino dark matter. We find regions of the allowed parameter space where the neutralino detection cross section is within the reach of dark matter detectors, essentially owing to the presence of very light singlet-like Higgses, and to either sin…
Evaluations of the event rates relevant to direct search for dark matter neutralino are presented for a wide range of neutralino masses and for various detector materials of preeminent interest. Differential and total rates are appropriately weighted over the local neutralino density expected on theoretical grounds.
We compute the neutralino direct detection rate in non-standard cosmological scenarios where neutralinos account for the dark matter of the Universe. Significant differences are found when such rates are compared with those predicted by the standard cosmological model. For bino-like neutralinos, the main feature is the presence of additional light ($m_χ\lesssim 40\gev$) and heavy ($m_χ\gtrsim 600\gev$) neutralinos with detection rates within the sensitivity of future dark matter experiments. For higgsino- and wino-like neutralinos lighter than $m_χ\sim 1\tev$, enhancements of more than two ord…
The Split SUSY scenario with light Higgsino states is treated as an application to the Dark Matter problem. We have considered the structure of the neutralino-nucleon interaction and calculated cross-section of the neutralino-nucleon scattering. The decay properties of the lightest chargino and next lightest neutralino are analyzed in details.
A recent observation of the two candidate events of the dark matter recoiling at CDMS-II is suggestive of dark matter with a mass not far above 100GeV. We propose a model of gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking where the lightest neutralino is identified as dark matter which may provide the observed signals.
The lack of evidence for weak scale supersymmetry from LHC Run-I and Run-II results along with null results from direct/indirect dark matter detection experiment have caused a paradigm shift in expected phenomenology of SUSY models. The SUSY dark matter candidate, neutralino $\widetilde{Z}_1$, can only satisfy the measured dark matter abundance due to resonance- and co-annihilations in cMSSM model. Moreover, viable parameter space is highly fine-tuned in the cMSSM. In models that can still satisfy the naturalness condition such as NUHM2, the neutralino is underproduced due to its higgsino natu…
We investigate the possibility of using accelarator beam particles to collide with the ambient neutralino dark matter particles in cosmic rays as a way to search for the cold dark matter. We study in detail its inelastic and elastic scattering with the projectile particles at electron-positron colliders and discuss the possible experimental signals and the relevent background.
We consider supersymmetric scenarios, compatible with all cosmological and phenomenological requirements, where the lightest SUSY particles (LSPs) are the neutralino and a quasi degenerate gluino. We study the neutralino relic abundance, focusing on gluino (co-)annihilation effects. In case the neutralino is bino-like, in a wide mass window the relic abundance is naturally driven in the correct range for the LSP to be the main cold dark matter constituent. We show that the gluino is the strongest possible coannihilating partner of a bino-like neutralino in the general MSSM. Moreover, contrary …
In order to study the structure of neutralino star and dark galaxy, we consider dynamical interactions due to boson-exchange in the neutralino matter. Taking into account interactions of neutralinos with bosons, we derive the equation of state (EOS) of neutralino stars in terms of the relativistic mean field approach. Then we apply the resulting EOS to investigate properties of the neutralino star such as its density profile and mass limit. For example, if the neutralino mass is around 1 TeV, the Oppenheimer mass limit of the neutralino star is obtained as $6.06\times 10^{-7}M_\odot$, and the …
The neutralino relic abundance is evaluated for a wide range of the neutralino mass, ${\rm 20\ GeV} \leq m_χ\leq {\rm 1\ TeV}$, by taking into account the full set of final states in the neutralino-neutralino annihilation. The analysis is performed in the Minimal SuSy Standard Model; it is not restricted by stringent GUT assumptions but only constrained by present experimental bounds. We also discuss phenomenological aspects which are employed in the companion paper (II. Direct Detection) where the chances for a successful search for dark matter neutralino are investigated.
We analyze the prospects for light neutralino dark matter in the minimal supersymmetric model extended by a $U(1)$ gauge group. We allow the neutralino to be an arbitrary admixture of singlet and doublet higgsinos, as well as of the three gauginos, and we require agreement with the data from the direct and indirect dark matter detection experiments, while maintaining consistency of the model with the relic density and with the recent Higgs data from the LHC. The constraints have implications for the structure of the lightest neutralino as a dark matter candidate, indicating that it is largely …
In supersymmetric models extended with an anomalous $U(1)_H$ different R-parity violating couplings can yield an unstable neutralino. We show that in this context astrophysical and cosmological constraints on neutralino decaying dark matter forbid bilinear R-parity breaking neutralino decays and lead to a class of purely trilinear R-parity violating scenarios in which the neutralino is stable on cosmological scales. We have found that among the resulting models some of them become suitable to explain the observed anomalies in cosmic-ray electron/positron fluxes.
We have considered neutralino to be the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) in the framework of minimal Anomaly Mediated Supersymmetric (mAMSB) model. We have studied variation of neutralino mass with the supersymmetric parameters. Considering these neutralinos to be the candidates for weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) or cold dark matter (CDM), we have calculated the neutralino nucleon scalar cross-sections and compared them with DAMA-NaI neutralino direct detection search results. From this study we observe that the mAMSB model results cannot explain the allowed region in WIMP ma…
We calculate QCD correction to the neutralino annihilation cross section into quark anti-quark final state and discuss its implications to the calculation of neutralino relic density. We see that the QCD correction enhances the pair-annihilation cross section by O(10 %) when final-state quarks are non-relativistic. Consequently, when the lightest neutralinos dominantly annihilate into a t\bar{t} pair, the relic density of the lightest neutralino is significantly affected by the QCD correction, in particular when the lightest-neutralino mass is close to the top-quark mass.
We study the scenario of gravitino DM with a general neutralino NLSP in a model independent way. We consider all neutralino decay channels and compare them with the most recent BBN constraints. We check how those bounds are relaxed for a Higgsino or a Wino NLSP in comparison to the Bino neutralino case and look for possible loopholes in the general MSSM parameter space. We determine constraints on the gravitino and neutralino NLSP mass and comment on the possibility of detecting these scenarios at colliders.
In this paper, we will describe the results of SUSY parameter space searches including minimal supergravity, non-universal supergravity and minimal supersymmetry and the implications on the indirect detection of neutralino dark matter. We give special attention to the effects of detector thresholds, solar absorption of neutrinos and hadronization of neutralino annihilation products. These effects are known to be important in calculating accurate event rates.
We review the prospects of detecting supersymmetric dark matter in the framework of the Constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, and compare indirect with direct detection capabilities.
In the framework of the minimal cosmological standard model, the $Λ$CDM model, the Dark Matter density is now known with an error of a few percent; this error is expected to shrink even further once PLANCK data are analyzed. Matching this precision by theoretical calculations implies that at least leading radiative corrections to the annihilation cross section of the dark matter particles have to be included. Here we compute one kind of large corrections in the context of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model: corrections associated with two-point function corrections on c…
In this work, we present a new strategy to investigate the possibility of direct detection of the ambient neutralino matter at accelerator. We calculate the cross sections for both elastic and inelastic scattering processes of the dark matter particles with the beam particles at $e^+e^-$ and hadron colliders.
We calculate spin-independent and spin-dependent direct detection cross sections of neutralino dark matter at next-to-leading order of QCD. The numerical effects are comparable in size to the uncertainties in the nuclear matrix elements. Our results are applicable to bino, wino or higgsino dark matter and allow for consistent correlations with the relic density in DM@NLO.
In the context of low-energy Supersymmetry, a model of Grand Unification with right-handed neutrinos, based on the group SU(5), is discussed and its implications for neutralino dark matter (DM) are studied and compared with the constrained MSSM. RG effects in this model modify the sparticle spectrum such that the WMAP limit on the DM relic density cannot be satisfied for small values of $\tanβ$ ($\tanβ\lesssim 35$) and the region of the parameter space allowed by efficient neutralino-stau coannihilation presents a peculiar phenomenology and an upper bound on the neutralino mass for most of the…
We analyze the direct detection of neutralino dark matter in the framework of the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. Taking into account all the available constraints from LEPII and Tevatron, including bounds from the muon anomalous magnetic moment and flavor constraint as $b \to s γ$, we compute the neutralino-nucleon cross section and compare the results with the sensitivity of dark matter detectors. We also study the relic abundance of neutralinos, comparing it with WMAP observations. We show that a light singlet-like Higgs can escape accelerator constraints allowing for scenari…
This paper provides a comprehensive discussion of neutralino dark matter within classes of extended supersymmetric models referred to as the USSM containing one additional SM singlet Higgs plus an extra $Z'$, together with their superpartners the singlino and bino'. These extra states of the USSM can significantly modify the nature and properties of neutralino dark matter relative to that of the minimal (or even next-to-minimal) supersymmetric standard models. We derive the Feynman rules for the USSM and calculate the dark matter relic abundance and direct detection rates for elastic scatterin…
The neutralino sector of the semi-constrained next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model is explored under recent experimental constraints, with special attention to dark matter (DM) limits. The effects of the upper and lower bounds of dark matter relic density and recent direct detection constraints on spin-independent and -dependent cross-sections are thoroughly analyzed. Particularly, we show which regions of the parameter space are ruled out due to the different dark matter constraints and the corresponding model-specific parameters: $λ, κ, A_λ$, and $A_κ$. We analyze all annihilation a…
We discuss neutralino dark matter arising from supersymmetric models with extra inert Higgsinos and singlinos, where inert means that their scalar partners do not get vacuum expectation values. As an example, we consider the extended neutralino sector of the E$_6$SSM, which predicts three families of Higgs doublet pairs, plus three singlets, plus a $Z'$, together with their fermionic superpartners. We show that the two families of inert doublet Higgsinos and singlinos predicted by this model provide an almost decoupled neutralino sector with a naturally light LSP which can account for the cold…
In the Minimal Supersymmetric Extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) the higgsino mass parameter $μ$ appears both in the masses of the Higgs bosons and in the neutralino mass matrix. Electroweak finetuning therefore prefers small values of $|μ|$. On the other hand, bino--like neutralinos make a good dark matter candidate. We show that current direct search limits then impose a strong lower bound on $|μ|$, in particular for $μ> 0$ or if the masses of the heavy Higgs bosons of the MSSM are near their current limit from LHC searches. There is therefore some tension between finetuning and neutrali…
The addition of non-renormalizable terms involving the Higgs fields to the MSSM ameliorates the little hierarchy problem of the MSSM. For neutralino dark matter, new regions for which the relic abundance of the LSP is consistent with WMAP (as the bulk region and the stop coannihilation region) are now permitted. In this framework, we analyze in detail first the direct dark matter detection prospects in a XENON-like experiment; then we study the capability of detecting gamma-rays produced in the annihilation of neutralino LSPs in the FERMI satellite.
If the energy density of the Universe before nucleosynthesis is dominated by a scalar field $ϕ$ that decays and reheats the plasma to a low reheating temperature $T_{RH}$, neutralinos may be warm dark matter particles. We study this possibility and derive the conditions on the production mechanism and on the supersymmetric spectrum for which it is viable. Large values of the $μ$ parameter and of the slepton masses are characteristic features of these models. We compute the expected direct detection cross sections and point out that Split-SUSY provides a natural framework for neutralino warm da…
The gravitino dark matter with neutralino NLSP hypothesis is investigated in the framework of NMSSM. We have considered both the thermal and non-thermal gravitino production mechanisms, and we have taken into account all the collider and cosmological constraints. The maximum allowed reheating temperature after inflation, as well as the maximum allowed gravitino mass are determined.
We address the direct detection of neutralino dark matter in the framework of the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We conduct a detailed analysis of the parameter space, taking into account all the available constraints from LEPII, and compute the neutralino-nucleon cross section. We find that sizable values for the detection cross section, within the reach of dark matter detectors, are attainable in this framework, and are associated with the exchange of very light Higgses, $m_{h_1^0}\lesssim 70$ GeV, the latter exhibiting a significant singlet composition.
We show some phenomenological implications for the dark matter problem of a class of models with deflected anomaly mediated supersymmetry breaking in the context of the MSSM. This scenario can be naturally embedded in a brane world model with one compactified extra dimension. It turns out that in these models the neutralino is still the LSP and so a good candidate as cold dark matter. We found that the neutralino is quite a pure bino in almost all the parameter space. Moreover we computed the thermal relic density and we found wide cosmologically allowed regions for the neutralino.
The prediction of neutralino dark matter is generally regarded as one of the successes of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). However the successful regions of parameter space allowed by WMAP and collider constraints are quite restricted. We discuss fine-tuning with respect to both dark matter and Electroweak Symmetry Breaking (EWSB) and explore regions of MSSM parameter space with non-universal gaugino and third family scalar masses in which neutralino dark matter may be implemented naturally. In particular allowing non-universal gauginos opens up the bulk region that allows Bin…
In this work, we analyze the electroweak loop corrections to the Neutralino dark matter relic density in the framework of effective coupling. In the first part, we comment on the generic features of the corrections and quantitative changes to the predicted relic density. We analyze the correlation between the characteristics of effective couplings to the nature of neutralino. Effective couplings, however, absorb only the most dominant one loop corrections and are not an exact calculation. In the second part, we assess the validity of effective couplings by comparing them to the full one loop c…
Supersymmetric extensions to the standard model provide viable dark matter candidates, and can introduce additional charge-parity (CP) violation, needed for obtaining the observed baryon asymmetry of the universe. We study the possibilities of scalar and neutralino dark matter with spontaneous CP violation in the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model with a right handed neutrino. The observed relic density can be produced both by neutralino and right handed sneutrino as the lightest supersymmetric particle, but when CP is violated, the new annihilation channels lower the achieved relic…
The $U(1)_X$ extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model(MSSM) is called as $U(1)_X$SSM with the local gauge group $SU(3)_C\times SU(2)_L \times U(1)_Y \times U(1)_X$. $U(1)_X$SSM has three singlet Higgs superfields beyond MSSM. In $U(1)_X$SSM, the mass matrix of neutralino is $8\times8$, whose lightest mass eigenstate possesses cold dark matter characteristic. Supposing the lightest neutralino as dark matter candidate, we study the relic density. For dark matter scattering off nucleus, the cross sections including spin-independent and spin-dependent are both researched. In our nume…
Three dark matter direct detection experiments, DAMA, COGENT and CRESST, have reported a possible signal of WIMP interaction corresponding to very light particles, close to the edge of the XENON 100 and CDMS sensitivity. Imposing the latest constraints from colliders, flavour physics, electroweak precision tests and direct and indirect dark matter searches, we show that viable MSSM scenarios with a light neutralino, in agreement with all the present data, are feasible. An analysis of the characteristics of the resulting scenarios will be presented.
Event rates for dark matter detectors in neutralino--nucleus scattering are studied for supergravity unified models, including the constraint arising from the $b\rightarrow sγ$ experiment. The recent experimental measurement of this decay by the CLEO Collaboration leads to strong constraints on the SUSY particle spectrum, and also significantly affects the event rates in dark matter detectors. The analysis given here uses the accurate method for the computation of the relic density and leads to a dip in the event rate when the neutralino mass is $\sim M_Z/2$ due to the $Z$-pole, and similar res…
We present a complete calculation of the QCD and SUSY-QCD corrections to neutralino pair annihilation into bottom quark-antiquark pairs through exchange of a pseudoscalar Higgs boson, which is the dominant process in the cosmological A-funnel region of the mSUGRA model. We present numerical predictions for the annihilation cross section and discuss the influence of the correction terms on the cold dark matter relic density with respect to recent cosmological data.
We analyze the direct detection rate of minimal supersymmetric neutralino dark matter in germanium, sapphire and sodium iodide detectors, imposing cosmological and accelerator bounds including those from \bsg\ decay. In contrast with several other recent analyses we find models with light charged higgsinos and large stop mixing in which the counting rate in solid state detectors exceeds 10 events/kg/day.
Phenomenology of neutralino dark matter in the minimal supersymmetric model is discussed for a scenario where the lightest Higgs boson mass is lighter than 114.4 GeV. We show that the scenario is consistent not only with many collider experiments but also with the observed relic abundance of dark matter. The allowed region may be probed by experiments of Bs to mu^+ mu^- in near future. The scenario predicts a large scattering cross section between the dark matter and ordinary matter and thus it may be tested in present direct detection experiments of dark matter.
Neutralino dark matter, and in particular different aspects of its detection at neutrino telescopes, has been studied within the Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model, the MSSM. The relic density of neutralinos has been calculated using sophisticated routines for integrating the annihilation cross section and the Boltzmann equation. As a new element, so called coannihilation processes between the lightest neutralino and the heavier neutralinos and charginos have also been included for any neutralino mass and composition. The detection rates at neutrino telescopes have been eva…
In the MSSM, the presence of CP phases can have a significant impact on the neutralino relic abundance. These phase effectsare on the one hand due to shifts in the masses, on the other hand due to modifications of the couplings. Typical variations in Omega h^2 solely from modifications in the couplings are of order 10%-100%.
We consider non-standard cosmological models in which the late decay of a scalar field $ϕ$ reheats the Universe to a low reheating temperature, between 5 MeV and the standard freeze-out temperature of neutralinos of mass $m_χ$. We point out that in these models all neutralinos with standard density $Ω_{\rm std} \gtrsim 10^{-5} (100 {\rm GeV}/m_χ)$ can have the density of cold dark matter, provided the right combination of the following two parameters can be achieved in the high energy theory: the reheating temperature, and the ratio of the number of neutralinos produced per $ϕ$ decay over the …
We discuss the possibility of new sources of flavour violation in the squark sector of supersymmetric models in the context of the dark matter relic density. We show that the corresponding non-minimal flavour violation terms in the squark mass matrices can have an important impact on the thermally averaged (co)annihilation cross section of the neutralino, and in consequence can modify its predicted relic density. We discuss in detail the relevant effects and present a numerical study of neutralino annihilation and coannihilation in this context. We also comment on the LHC phenomenology of the …
We calculate the relic abundance of mixed axion/neutralino cold dark matter which arises in R-parity conserving supersymmetric (SUSY) models wherein the strong CP problem is solved by the Peccei-Quinn (PQ) mechanism with a concommitant axion/saxion/axino supermultiplet. By numerically solving the coupled Boltzmann equations, we include the combined effects of 1. thermal axino production with cascade decays to a neutralino LSP, 2. thermal saxion production and production via coherent oscillations along with cascade decays and entropy injection, 3. thermal neutralino production and re-annihilati…
Supersymmetric dark matter has been studied extensively in the context of the MSSM, where gauginos have Majorana masses. Introducing Dirac gaugino masses, we obtain an enriched phenomenology from which considerable differences in, e.g., LHC signatures can be expected. Concretely, in the Minimal Dirac Gaugino Model (MDGSSM) we have an electroweakino sector extended by two extra neutralinos and one extra chargino. The bino- and wino-like states bring about small mass splittings leading to the frequent presence of scenarios with Long Lived Particles (LLPs). In this contribution, we delineate the …
We examine the detectability through indirect means of weakly interacting dark matter candidates that may constitute not all but only a subdominant component of galactic cold dark matter. We show that the possibility of indirect detection of neutralinos from their annihilations in the Earth and Sun is not severely hampered by decreasing neutralino relic density. Upward-going muon fluxes in underground detectors from neutralino annihilations in the Sun can remain above the threshold of detectability of 10 muons/km^2/yr for neutralinos composing 1% or more of the halo dark matter. Similarly, sig…
We consider a left-right symmetric SU(4)_c \times SU(2)_L \times SU(2)_R (4-2-2) model with gravity mediated supersymmetry breaking. We find that with 4-2-2 compatible non-universal gaugino masses, t-b-τYukawa coupling unification is consistent with neutralino dark matter abundance and with constraints from collider experiments (except (g-2)_μ). The gluino mass lies close to that of the lightest neutralino, so that the gluino co-annihilation channel plays an important role in determining the neutralino relic abundance. By relaxing the Yukawa unification constraint we find stau and stop masses …
Assuming the lightest neutralino forms dark matter, we study its residual annihilation after freeze-out at the early universe. If taking place after the big bang nucleosynthesis (BBN) the annihilation products, especially at the hadronic modes, may cause nonthermal nuclear reaction and change the prediction of the primordial abundance of light elements in the standard BBN scenario. We therefore put constraints on the neutralino annihilation cross section. These constraints are free of the uncertainties of the dark matter profile today suffered by direct or indirect detection of dark matter. We…
The lightest neutralino is a viable dark matter (DM) candidate. In this paper we study indirect detection of the wino-like neutralino DM using positrons and antiprotons from the annihilation in the galactic halo. When the mass is around 2 TeV, which is favored from the thermal relic abundance, the non-perturbation effect significantly enhances the annihilation cross sections into positrons and antiprotons. We find that the positron and antiproton fluxes with energies larger than 100 GeV may become larger than the expected backgrounds. Since the positron flux is less sensitive to the astrophysi…
We consider the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with varying amounts of non-universality in the soft supersymmetry-breaking contributions to the Higgs scalar masses. In addition to the constrained MSSM (CMSSM) in which these are universal with the soft supersymmetry-breaking contributions to the squark and slepton masses at the input GUT scale, we consider scenarios in which both the Higgs masses are non-universal by the same amount (NUHM1), and scenarios in which they are independently non-universal (NUHM2). As the lightest neutralino is a dark matter candidate, we demand that th…
If weak scale supersymmetry (SUSY) is to somehow explain the radiative stability of the Higgs boson mass, it is likely that non-minimal variants of SUSY models should be considered. Under the assumption that the dark matter of the universe is comprised of neutralinos, recent limits from direct detection experiments as well as dark matter abundance measurements place stringent bounds on the naturalness of minimal supersymmetric models. We show that even non-minimal models introducing moderately decoupled new physics in order to address the Higgs boson mass problem face similar issues, with one …
We describe in detail our calculation of the full supersymmetric (SUSY) QCD corrections to neutralino annihilation into heavy quarks and extend our numerical analysis of the resulting dark matter relic density to scenarios without scalar or gaugino mass unification. In these scenarios, the final state is often composed of top quarks and the annihilation proceeds through Z^0-boson or scalar top-quark exchanges. The impact of the corrections is again shown to be sizable, so that they must be taken into account systematically in global analyses of the supersymmetry parameter space.
We consider two classes of t-b-tau quasi-Yukawa unification scenarios which can arise from realistic supersymmetric SO(10) and SU(4)_C X SU(2)_L X SU(2)_R models. We show that these scenarios can be successfully implemented in the CMSSM and NUHM1 frameworks, and yields a variety of sparticle spectra with WMAP compatible neutralino dark matter. In NUHM1 we find bino-higgsino dark matter as well as the stau coannihilation and A-funnel solutions. The CMSSM case yields the stau coannihilation and A-funnel solutions. The gluino and squark masses are found to lie in the TeV range.
